GET INTERESTED IN OTHERS (Be A Giver And A Blesser)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Philippians 2:4 AMPC “Let each of you esteem and look upon and be concerned for not [merely] his own interests, but also each for the interests of others.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
As a child of God, be known as one who remembers, cares for, and loves people genuinely. That is what counts with God. Be the giver and the blesser. The Bible says, “…It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35). The blessing you receive because of those who remember you is little compared to that which you receive when you remember others and give to them.

When you receive from others, all you have is what you got. God’s promise isn’t to the one who receives but to the one who gives. So, rather than seek attention, give it instead. Don’t seek love; give love. Demonstrate love to everyone, including those who might have offended you and the ungodly that have no hope. That’s how God wants you to live.

He said in Luke 6:27-31 TPT, “But I say to you who hear, love your enemies and do something wonderful for them in return for their hatred. When someone curses you, bless that person in return. When others mistreat and harass you, accept it as your mission to pray for them. To those who despise you, continue to serve them and minister to them. If someone takes away your coat, give him as a gift your shirt as well. When someone comes to beg from you, give to that person what you have. When things are wrongly taken from you, do not demand they be given back. The way you want others to treat you is how you should treat everyone else.”

There’re people who only want to receive from others and enjoy attention from others; they only crave for others to love them. But read what the Lord said, “The way you want others to treat you is how you should treat everyone else.” You’re the seed of Abraham, and the seed of Abraham reaches out in love; he hears the cry of the needy and responds.

Isn’t that what God said concerning Abraham and His seed? He said in you shall all the nations of the earth be blessed (Genesis 12:1-3, 18:17-18, 22:15-18). You’re the answer; you’re the solution. Fulfil your calling as the blesser and the giver; it’s the higher way of life! Hallelujah!

Dear Father, I thank you for your grace upon my life to help, lift and build others; thank you for your love that’s shed abroad in my heart, which I dispense lavishly to everyone in my world. YOU IN CHRIST, CHRIST IN YOU (What Happens When You’re Born Again And When You Receive The Holy Ghost?)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Corinthians 12:13 “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
The first thing that happens when you come to Christ or receive eternal life is that you are baptised or immersed into Christ; this is captured vividly in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” To be in Christ, therefore, is to be recreated as a new person in Christ. This first experience happens when the Holy Spirit receives you into Him, as the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 12:13, “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body— whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free….” This is the new birth—being born again.

The second part of the verse refers to the second experience: “…And have all been made to drink into one Spirit.” This is receiving the Holy Spirit to dwell in you to become one with Him in the same body (1 Corinthians 6:17, John 7:37-39). Receiving Him is a separate experience that follows the first experience. On the day of Pentecost, for example, the disciples were born again and also received the Holy Spirit to dwell in them on that same occasion. The same experience happens to many people today; immediately they’re born again, they receive the Holy Spirit. But this isn’t always the case.

For example, in Acts 19, the Apostle Paul encountered some disciples in Ephesus and asked them if they had received the Holy Spirit since they believed. They replied that they hadn’t even heard that there was a Holy Spirit. So, for some people, there might be a period of waiting, maybe due to a lack of knowledge about the Holy Spirit and His ministry in the saints, like these disciples Paul encountered in Ephesus.

So, being born again is actually being baptised into the Holy Ghost, into Christ, and into God. John refers to it as “being in God” and distinguishes that from “He in you” (1 John 4:15) much as Paul the apostle distinguishes “being in Christ,” which begins at the new birth, from “Christ in you,” which begins when you receive the Holy Spirit into you (2 Corinthians 5:17, Colossians 1:27).

WHAT IS RÂPHÂH? (You’ve Been Made Whole And Delivered From Pitfalls)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Psalm 107:20 “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
The Hebrew word translated “healed” is “râphâh”; it means to mend, to cure, to heal, repair, or thoroughly make whole. This is what the Word does in your life; it rids you of all kinds of sicknesses, diseases, and infirmities; it has curative ability.

You can use the Word to keep your body in divine health. Proverbs 4:20-22 says, “My son, attend to my words… they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” So the Word produces health in your physical body.

“Râphâh” also means physician. It brings to mind God’s promise of healing and blessings as the Israelites journeyed in the wilderness after their deliverance from Egypt: “…If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you” (Exodus 15:26).

The word “heals” is the same word “râphâh”; thus, the underlined portion can also be translated, “I am the Lord, your physician”; that’s where you get the name “Jehovah Raphah,” which means “Lord, your physician.” So, He was their physician.

Secondly, the word translated “destructions” in the same opening verse is the Hebrew “shechîyth”; it means pitfalls. Pitfalls are sudden, unforeseen troubles. So, a pitfall could be a sudden loss of money or even the loss of a job, life savings, assets, properties etc., as a result of a particular course of action or policies. But thanks be to God! He’s able to deliver from pitfalls, from sudden unforeseen difficulty, calamity or quagmire. Glory to His Name forever.

HIS WONDERFUL NAME (Invoke The Authority Vested In The Name Of Jesus)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Philippians 2:9-11 NIV “Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
In the third chapter of the book of Acts, we read that Peter healed a certain man who was crippled from birth. Afterwards, he made an emphatic and unambiguous statement. He said, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Peter was referring to the wonderful Name of Jesus!

All authority in heaven, in the earth, and under the earth is vested in that Name. So, when you affirm your healing and health or anything in the Name of Jesus, you’re invoking His authority. The one who’s crippled is able to walk again, in the Name of Jesus. Even maimed limbs are restored in His Name. In Mark 16:17-18, Jesus said, “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” When you call the Name Jesus, demons scamper in terror; all of nature responds.

Therefore, be confident to use the Name of Jesus, and live every day in, and by, the power of His Name; it’s your inheritance. The Name was given to you to use and to live by. Even now, receive strength into you in the Name of Jesus! If you’ve been sick or afflicted, be made whole; be healed in Jesus’ Name! Right away, rejoice and thank Him for healing you, and act accordingly. Hallelujah!

SUCH “WERE” SOME OF YOU (Realise That You’ve Been Washed By God’s Word)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Corinthians 6:11 “And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Why do I still feel the same way I did after you led me to Christ just now? I still feel guilty about what I did last night,” Natalie asked Joanna who had just shared the Gospel with her.

“Oh, don’t worry about how you feel; what’s important is that you’ve believed the Gospel and you’ve declared the Lordship of Jesus over your life. Now that you are born again, you have been washed from all of your sins; the past life is gone completely, and you’re a new creation in Christ Jesus.”

The Apostle Paul, in the eleventh verse of 1 Corinthians 6, makes a striking statement to establish the present state of the Corinthian Christians, emphasising that they were washed, sanctified and justified in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Read the opening scripture again and observe what the Holy Spirit communicates through Paul; He didn’t say, “Such are some of you”; rather, He said, “And such were some of you,” referring to the unrighteous characters listed in verses 9 and 10. But how were they washed by the Spirit? Through the Word! In John 15:3, the Lord Jesus, addressing His disciples said, “You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.” He purified them by His Word. As He spoke His words of sanctification and righteousness to them while they listened, they were purified. Praise God!

The same thing happens today as we share the Word of God; as the people listen, their hearts are purified from all unrighteousness. Many have testified that as they listened to us share the Word of God or as they meditated on the scriptures, suddenly, they seemed to have been transported in the spirit. They felt enraptured in God’s bliss and love. The Word got rid of everything unwholesome, unpleasant or unclean. How wonderful! We’re made pure by the Word. Hallelujah!

GOD’S PLAN FOR THE GIVER (Increased Grace And Earthly Blessings Are Directed To The Giver)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Corinthians 9:8 AMPC “And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Cyril, you’re always looking nice, and all this nice stuff keeps coming to you,” remarked Stephanie. “What’s your secret? Tell me!”

“That’s easy, Steph! Start giving into the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and blessings like you’ve never seen will start coming your way too,” Cyril instructed.

You know, Psalm 24:1 says, “The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.” In Haggai 2:8, the Lord declares His sovereignty over the earth’s resources, saying, “‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the Lord of hosts.” Then in Psalm 50:10-11, the Lord said, “For every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the mountains, and the wild beasts of the field are Mine.” Hallelujah!

This same God that owns the world and everything in it, including all its inexhaustible, inestimable wealth, is able to direct all grace towards you so you can enjoy everything He owns. God is able to direct all the grace you require for anything in this life towards you so that you’re never behind in competence or ability.

Someone might say, “If that’s the case, then go ahead and do it, Lord; direct all grace towards me.” The scriptures already told us what prompts Him to do it: He does it for givers. Read 2 Corinthians 9:7-8 and see the connection: all channels of blessings are focused on the giver! You can’t block the giver’s way, impede his advancement, or stymie his growth and blessings, for he or she is graced on every side.

That’s not all. As a true giver, not only does God direct all grace towards you, but He also ensures you have more than enough to give all the time. You’re always, under all circumstances, and whatever the need, self-sufficient, possessing enough to require no aid or support, furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation. This is God’s Word and blessing for you as a giver. Hallelujah!

Dear Father, I thank you for the Gospel of Christ, which has blessed and enriched me. GOD’S GLORIFED COMRADES (You Have A Most Sublime And Imperial Identity)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Romans 8:30 AMPC “…Those whom He thus foreordained, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified (acquitted, made righteous, putting them into right standing with Himself). And those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity and condition or state of being].”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Who does she think she is? Barbara always presents herself as though she’s royalty or dignified,” Marian remarked to Julie, as they watched Barbara walk by. Barbara had really done no wrong to anyone, least of all Marian. Instead, she had made the decision to walk with the mindset of her glorified life in Christ.

Barbara had been more conscious lately since she had started a study on and reflecting on the book of Romans, especially Romans 8:30. She’d realised that she had been glorified, and this knowledge imbued her demeanour with a sense of dignity and regality.

Observe the explanation of the word “glorified” in our opening verse of scripture; it says, “…[raising them to a heavenly dignity and condition or state of being].” In other words, when you were born again, when you came to Christ and received eternal life, you were brought into a life of heavenly dignity. You have the most sublime and most imperial identity!

Apostle John explains the fellowship that has ushered us into this life of glory: “That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ” (1 John 1:3). The word “fellowship” here, translated from the Greek word “koinōnia,” also means partnership or comradeship. So, John is talking about a deep sense of camaraderie.

Thus, our fellowship, partnership, or “camaraderie” is with the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. Peter says we’re called to glory and excellence: “For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue)” (2 Peter 1:3 AMPC). Hallelujah!

LIVE A GUILT-FREE LIFE (Don’t Be A Prisoner Of Your Past)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
There are those who are haunted by guilt and memories of the past. They’re fighting so hard to overcome painful memories. They’re in bondage with their past, probably because of some terrible things they did or the hurt they suffered, and they’ve been living with the pain ever since.

You need to understand what it means to be born again, to be a new creation: you’re a brand-new person. You’re not the same person who had those horrible experiences. That person died in Christ. The new “you” is absolved of all guilt and free of errors and imperfections.

Romans 5:18 NIV says, “Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men.” Jesus wasn’t only delivered on account of our sins; He was also raised for our justification (Romans 4:25). What does this mean?

It means you were declared “not guilty,” and there is no charge against you today. The reason is simple: you’re a new creation, a brand-new person without a past. So, even if you did something wrong in the past that still makes you feel guilty, it’s all based on memory and emotions. In Christianity, we don’t walk by our feelings; we walk by faith. We live on the affirmation of God’s Word.

Don’t recollect a bitter experience you might have had many years ago and start crying that God should forgive you. Refuse to be held captive by guilt or memories of the past. Romans 4:25 AMPC says Jesus was raised from the dead for “...(our acquittal), [making our account balance and absolving us from all guilt before God].” When you come to Jesus, He makes you free from every kind of bondage; “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:36). Hallelujah!

GOD’S PERFECT WILL (Live In The Will Of The Father)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Matthew 6:10 AMPC “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Dear heavenly Father, I just want to have money and be able to travel around the world, buy expensive jewellery, clothing, bags, and shoes!” exclaimed Eva as she got ready for class.

“All of that is nice, but is that really God’s perfect will for your life? Just to travel around the world and buy material things? There ought to be more!” Tiffany asserted. “I believe that the most important thing in the life of anyone is to be at the very centre of God’s will for his or her life.”

When Jesus came, He was the embodiment of God’s will; He was at the right place at the right time for the right purpose, in the right way. God’s will is manifested in His kingdom, and the kingdom executes His will. This means that the will of God is expected to be done in your life one hundred percent, as it was with Jesus.

Living according to the will of the Father is very simple. All you have to do is to live according to the Word and walk by the Spirit. The Bible says, “...Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16). How could there be confusion in your life when you’re living according to the will of the Father? Never!

The Bible says, “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know…” (Ephesians 1:18). If the eyes of your understanding are enlightened—if your heart is flooded with light, with an abundance of the Word of God in your spirit—you become acquainted with the will of God, and the result is a life of unending victory!

Dear Father, thank you for granting me spiritual understanding, which transcends the use of the mind and the senses. HIS PERFECT AND ETERNAL LOVE (God Loves And Cares For You)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Jeremiah 31:3 “…Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Hey Sophia, God loves you dearly. Irrespective of your mistakes and errors, He loves you with an everlasting love,” muttered Sophia as she lay on her bed, reiterating to herself what her cell leader said in their cell meeting.

It is true that God loves and cares for you. When I found out that God loved me personally, it changed everything for me. I became bold and confident in His love for me.

In Hebrews 13:5, He says, “…I will never leave you, nor forsake you.” How gracious He is! Think about that! It’s the reason when Christians miss it and walk away from Him— to go the way of the world—the Holy Spirit never leaves them. He goes after them to win them back. Why doesn’t He ever give up on us?

It’s because He loves each one of us personally. He genuinely loves you. When He made you, He made you in His image. He sees Himself in you. Even when you’re badly behaved, He looks at your potential. He knows that if you’d listen to Him, you’d make amends and do the right thing.

DON’T LIVE WITHOUT THE SPIRIT! (The Holy Spirit Is The Glory Of Our Lives)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Romans 8:9 “But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
The Holy Spirit is the glory of the Father (Romans 6:4). He’s also called the Spirit of glory (1 Peter 4:14). He’s the glory of our lives and the glory of Christianity. You couldn’t know God or love Jesus without the Holy Spirit. Christians who don’t have the Holy Spirit live as victims in life. They’re buffeted by Satan and vulnerable to the elements of this world.

The Apostle Paul emphasized the importance of having the Holy Spirit when he asked certain disciples he met at Ephesus: “…Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed…” (Acts 19:2). When they answered and said, “…We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit” (Acts 19:2), Paul was stunned. Immediately, he explained the Scriptures to them and “...when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied” (Acts 19:3-6).

No one can live the authentic Christian life without the Holy Spirit. The one who’s born again but hasn’t received the Holy Spirit easily falls into temptations and sin, unable to control his fleshly appetites or restrain himself from evil. It’s only through the Holy Spirit that you mortify the deeds of the body and carnal desires: “For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live” (Romans 8:13). Without the Holy Spirit, you can’t have the character of Christ. Jesus had to have the Holy Spirit. The apostles had to have the Holy Spirit. Life without the Holy Spirit is empty. Receive the Holy Spirit today!

NO SMALL MEASURES (God Resides In You In His Fullness)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 3:34 “For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Christ in you” signifies that God resides in you in His fullness, not in parts, nor in a measure. This is an immensely significant truth, one that cannot be overstated. Just as the Holy Spirit dwelt in Christ, He now dwells in you. Have you really taken the time to contemplate this truth?

Colossians 1:19, referring to the Lord Jesus, says that in Him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell. We can readily accept that the fullness of God dwells in Jesus. But the same is true of us in Christ Jesus. Just as we read that it pleased the Father to have all the fullness of God dwell in Jesus, Colossians 2:10 says, “And you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.”

Now, you can better understand why Paul would pray in Ephesians 3:19 “…that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” He wanted them to experience this ministry of the Holy Spirit and come to the realization of this truth about the indwelling fullness of God. Ephesians 1:22-23 says we, the Church, are His body; we’re the fullness of Him that fills all in all. Hallelujah!

John 1:16 AMPC says, “For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received….” This is God’s purpose for us—to be filled with His fullness. So, not only is this a possibility, it’s our reality in Christ. He lives within every fibre of your being, in your spirit, soul and body. Understanding this message is transformative. It is what will change the world, but we must act upon it.

THE KINGDOM VENT (Be A Channel For God’s Righteousness And Kingdom)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Luke 17:21 AMPC “…For behold, the kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts] and among you [surrounding you].”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Now that you’re born again, the Kingdom of God is actively working in and through you. You serve as a channel for righteousness, demonstrating God’s righteousness in action. Initially, Jesus offered the Kingdom to Israel, but they rejected His message. So, He extended the offer to everyone, including the Gentiles. Today, anyone who believes in Jesus Christ receives the Kingdom—a truly magnificent one!

In Isaiah 35:5-6, Prophet Isaiah declared, “Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame shall leap like a deer, and the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.” This is a manifestation of the Kingdom. It was the understanding of this that made me, years ago as a young guy, go preaching in the backside of civilization where there was darkness, pain, and poverty. In those crusades, I’d command blind eyes to open, deaf ears to be unstopped, the mute to speak, and the lame to walk, and they did.

Knowing that the concluding part of the sixth verse referred to the end of poverty and lack, I’d declare to the crowds that irrespective of their circumstances, they possessed a supernatural life now that Christ was alive in them. They believed and were transformed by the Truth. The evidence of the Kingdom was undeniable!

Christ in you brings forth righteousness and the outworking of His Kingdom. It is a transformational reality that manifests in the ability to live righteously and experience the abundant life of God’s Kingdom. Hallelujah!

YOU HAVE RIGHT STANDING (Christ—Our Right Standing Before The Father)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Corinthians 1:30 “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“So, are you saying that now that I am born again, I am righteous as Jesus is, without doing any good deed?” Patrick went on and on, questioning Philippe about his new-found life of righteousness in Christ.

“Yes, Patrick, for the tenth time, you are exactly righteous as Jesus is; He is your right standing before the Father today and always; read 1 John 4:17, Romans 3:23-26, and 2 Corinthians 5:21 and see this truth for yourself.”

I’ve often said that the biggest subject in all of God’s Word is righteousness. Righteousness is the nature of God that defines His character and ways of doing things. It is the rightness of God, His attribute of always being right.

This nature and attribute of God, when imparted to the human spirit at the new birth, gives him right standing. Right standing refers to the right or ability to stand in the presence of God without guilt, fear, inferiority, or condemnation. Now, you can talk to the Lord in fellowship and even ask Him questions; you’re bold in His presence.

This is part of the result of who we are and what we have in Christ. We read in our opening scripture that Christ has become our righteousness—our right standing before God. Hallelujah! What a blessing!

As great, glorious, and mighty as God is, you’re not afraid of Him, nor are you guilty or inferior in His presence. Rather, before Him, you’re holy, unblameable, and unreproveable (Colossians 1:22). Glory to His Name forever!

YOU’RE TOP-CLASS! (Live Your Best And Be Your Best For God)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
James 1:18 “Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Check out the start of today’s opening verse—it says, “Of His own will He brought us forth....” That means the Lord intentionally brought us into existence. It was His choice to give birth to us with the Word of truth that we should be a kind or a type of firstfruits of His creatures!

What’s the meaning of firstfruits? The term “firstfruits” means the first and best of anything; it implies top class and signifies top-notch quality. And guess what? That’s you—topclass, excellent through and through because you’re born of God. Hallelujah!

Apostle Peter drives home the same point in 1 Peter 1:23 KJV: “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.” John also referenced the fact that this happened by God’s own design; it was His will: “But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God; who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1:12-13 RSV).

It was His will to make you top-class. So, live your best and be your best for Him. Keep your mind on the image of you that God has given you in His Word. You’re His peculiar treasure, His reproduction, His excellent handiwork, a bundle of success, an achiever, and a victor in Christ Jesus.

He made you for glory and beauty. See how He describes you in Ephesians 2:10 AMPC: “For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].” Let this put springs in your steps.

It makes no difference who condemns you; refuse to be distracted by what others might be saying about you. What counts is who you are in Christ: you’re top-class; perfected in righteousness, holy, unblameable, and unreproveable in God’s sight (Colossians 1:22). Glory to His Name forever.

USE PROPHECY AS A WEAPON (Release Prophetic Utterances Of Power From Your Mouth)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Timothy 1:18 “This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
The Bible says, “...Though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh” (2 Corinthians 10:3). In other words, though we live in the human body, our war isn’t according to the flesh. Then the fourth verse tells us about the weapons of our warfare: “...The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.” These weapons aren’t manmade or invented by human understanding; rather, they operate through God to the pulling down of strongholds.

It doesn’t matter what kind of strongholds they are, whether they be intellectual strongholds, mental strongholds, educational strongholds, family strongholds, medical strongholds, or financial strongholds! We have weapons to dislodge these evil strongholds and render them ineffective and useless. Hallelujah!

The Holy Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, tells us about one of these effectual weapons of our warfare in our opening scripture—prophecy! Use prophecies as a weapon as you wage spiritual warfare by faith. God’s Word about you is prophecy. Therefore, always speak forth His Word.

The Word of God from your lips is the sword of the Spirit (the “rhema” of God). This is an inspired utterance of the Word of God from your mouth. It’s a prophetic word. With it, you chart your course in life from glory to glory. You can reframe and replan your life. You can override the sequence of unpalatable events in your life or circumstances.

What has God said about you? What has He said about lost souls? What has He said about your situation? Use those words to make war and cause His will to be established in your life, in your nation, and in the lives of young men and women like yourself, all around the world.

🎯 Go Deeper

I declare that righteousness is established in the hearts of people around the world, and through the truth of the Gospel, salvation, healing and health, prosperity and success, deliverance, wholeness, preservation, peace and joy spread in the nations of the earth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

KICK MALICE OUT! (Don’t Harbour Resentment In Your Heart)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Ephesians 4:31 “Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Dylan vowed to cut ties with Ben after a terrible betrayal, but when Ben sincerely apologised, Dylan agreed to talk. Realising that holding onto malice would cost him a valued friendship, Dylan chose to forgive and give Ben another chance. Despite the difficulty, Dylan felt a weight lift as he made the decision to preserve their friendship.

You know, the Spirit says through Paul in 1 Corinthians 14:20, “Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature.” Children don’t keep malice. They don’t harbour resentment; they have a pure and innocent mind. That’s how God wants us to live. The same admonition He gave in our opening verse is repeated in Colossians 3:8. It says we are to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behaviour, slander, and dirty language.

You see, all these are listed together because they’re all connected; one thing leads to the other. Harbouring resentment, bitterness, anger, hatred, or jealousy eventually produces adverse effects in a person because these negative forces lead people to unwholesome actions. Remember, we’re called to walk in love. When you walk in love, you’re a master; you’re in dominion. The Bible says love isn’t selfseeking, touchy, fretful, or resentful. It takes no account of the evil done to it, nor does it pay attention to a suffered wrong (1 Corinthians 13:5 AMPC).

NO FEARS, NO PHOBIAS! (Refuse To Be Bound By Fear)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“I don’t have any fears,” Maddie said to her class when her teacher asked everyone to take turns sharing their greatest fears. Maddie had none to share.

“That’s impossible! You’ve got to be afraid of something!” Trent exclaimed loudly. He couldn’t believe his ears. Nonetheless, Maddie stayed firm and unmoved by their pleas for her to confess “her fears.” There’re certain negative forces that affect people’s actions, choices, and decisions; one of them is fear. Fear is a tormenting spirit.

There’re different kinds of fear: the fear of failure, the fear of the future, the fear of man, the fear of death, the fear of darkness, even the fear of missing out, and so on.

Oftentimes, those who are driven by fear or phobia can’t even define what they’re afraid of. Yet, they perpetually live in fear. But we’re never to be moved by fear because we’re born of God and live by faith. In your life, make up your mind that you’ll never be ruled by fear. Never allow fear to prompt you to take an action or stop you from taking one.

The Bible says fear entraps, but if you trust in the Lord, you’re safe (Proverbs 29:25). It also says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). That means if you’re born again and filled with the Holy Spirit, fear has no place in your life, and you have the spirit of power, of love, and of a sound mind. Glory to God!

It makes no difference whether there is darkness in the world or how dismal the world gets; refuse to be agitated. Trust the Lord because He leads you in a perpetual victory parade and in triumph. God has ordained your victory, promotion, and prosperity in the midst of darkness. He already planned that you’d be a success in this life, irrespective of what’s going on in the world around you. So, live confidently every day, knowing that your faith is the victory that overcomes the world (1 John 5:4).
