LET HIM PRAY THROUGH YOU (Yield To The Holy Spirit In Prayer)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Romans 8:26 AMPC “So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Henry found himself praying uncontrollably on the floor, his face full of tears and his hands on his tummy, groaning in the Spirit. He continued this for several minutes until there was a note of victory in his heart. Later on, he heard that some thieves had attacked his neighbours while he was at school, but they refused to enter his own home.
This experience exemplifies the powerful nature of intercessory prayer through the Holy Spirit. This is one of the most important kinds of prayer, one in which the Holy Spirit Himself prays through you in intercession for the saints. That’s what we read in our opening verse above. There’s the one in which your spirit is praying in tongues, like the Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 14:14: “For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.”
However, there’re times your spirit may have been praying, and it gets to the level where the Holy Spirit takes over that prayer. At that moment, it’s not your spirit that’s praying anymore but the Holy Spirit praying through you with deep sighs and groanings. You find yourself praying with intense, profuse, uncontrollable tears; you’re wailing, not out of sorrow or anguish but of soul-travail. No words are being formed; you even have to hold your stomach as though you’re in pain, but there’s no pain. It’s the Holy Spirit travailing in prayer through you.
Read our opening scripture again; it says the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings that can’t be uttered in articulate speech. This is an amazing way to pray effectively, and it’s important that you yield yourself to the Holy Spirit to pray through you like this from time to time. It’s His work through you. When He prays through you, Romans 8:28 tells us the result: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Hallelujah!

WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? (Have A Renewed Mind)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Philippians 4:8 GNB “In conclusion, my friends, fill your minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honorable.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Mia used to struggle a lot with thoughts of anxiety until she discovered Isaiah 26:3 and Joshua 1:8, which helped her understand that true peace, health, and prosperity come from meditating on God’s Word. So, every morning and before settling into the evening, she would centre her thoughts and meditate on God’s Word, muttering and pondering on the scriptures until her thoughts eventually became those of peace and prosperity.
The Bible says, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You” (Isaiah 26:3). The Hebrew word translated “peace” is “shalom,” which doesn’t just mean peace as in quietness; it also means health, prosperity, and rest. It refers to the rest of God, along with prosperity, health, strength, and salvation. However, experiencing these things largely depends on the content and quality of your mind.
When your mind is focused on the Lord and His Word, you’ll experience perfect prosperity, health, rest, and strength. It’s really that simple. Your mind is very important to God. That’s where He seeks to work. If He can get a hold of your mind, you can be everything He wants you to be. You can become as healthy, prosperous, and successful as you ever want to be. So, it begins with the mind. Why is your mind so important? It’s because God has designed the mind as the instrument for your transformation (Romans 12:2).
There are no limits to what you can achieve, and there are absolutely no restrictions on how high you can propel yourself on the highway of victory when your mind is governed and regulated by the Word. With your mind established on the Word, the possibilities are endless. So always fix your mind on the beautiful realities of the Word. It’s an effective way to create the ideal framework and system for your life and make the most of the unique life and blessings God has given you.

THE RIGHTEOUS NATION (We Are The Custodians Of Truth)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Isaiah 26:2 AMPC “Open the gates, that the [uncompromisingly] righteous nation which keeps her faith and her troth [with God] may enter in.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
To understand what qualifies a nation to come into the gates of God, there are two key elements to observe: righteousness and walking in the truth. So, what nation is this? It’s the Church of Jesus Christ! You see, God’s Word is Truth, and His truth was given to us in Christ Jesus. Thus, the Church of Christ is this nation that keeps the truth. In 1 Timothy 3:15, Apostle Paul called the house of God—the Church of the living God—the pillar and ground of the truth.
We belong to the Church, which is the custodian of the truth. The Church is a righteous nation. We’re God-like in true righteousness and holiness (Ephesians 4:24). The Bible says, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). Everyone who has accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour has been made righteous!
In Ephesians 4:24 (AMPC), Paul highlights that we were created in true righteousness and holiness: “And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness.” If you walk with sin-consciousness, you wouldn’t know that you’re righteous. But His gate is open to the righteous ones—the Church! What a blessing!
Peter supports this in his first letter when he called us a holy nation: “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9 AMPC). We’re a peculiar nation, born in righteousness, producing fruits of righteousness, and proclaiming His truth in righteousness.

DON’T BE DECEIVED! (Knowing The Truth: The Cure For Deception)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Corinthians 15:33 AMPC “Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
“Come on, Jocelyn, the world isn’t over. Stop crying,” Alice encouraged Jocelyn, her classmate.
“How can I when I know my account was hacked last night? I should have never clicked on that web link in my email.”
“Yeah, Jo, you fell for the deception, but relax; we will fix the hack and get your account back to you,” Scott replied to assuage Jocelyn’s fears.
The Lord Jesus warned us to be wary of deception. In Matthew 24:4 AMPC, He cautions, “...Be careful that no one misleads you [deceiving you and leading you into error].” In the letters of the New Testament, the Apostle Paul repeatedly warned of the dangers of deception. Notice what he said in the opening verse of scripture: “Do not be so deceived and misled...” because it’s easy to fall into deception.
Satan’s primary strategy for derailing Eve was deception. In 2 Corinthians 11:3 GNB, Paul captures it; it says, “I am afraid that your minds will be corrupted and that you will abandon your full and pure devotion to Christ—in the same way that Eve was deceived by the snake’s clever lies.” Therefore, by understanding how Satan deceived Eve, you can gain insight into how to stay ahead of him and prevent yourself and others from being deceived.
Remember that Paul was speaking to God’s people when he said, “Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God...” (1 Corinthians 15:34). The knowledge of God keeps your heart in the right place. So, get your mind on the right subject and your heart in the right direction!
The cure for deception, therefore, is the knowledge of the truth: the accurate knowledge of the Word; this will both deliver and protect you from deception. Always keep in mind what the Bereans did in Acts 17:11: “…The people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and gladly listened to the message. They searched the Scriptures day by day to check up on Paul and Silas’ statements to see if they were really so.

GIVING IS RIGHTEOUSNESS (When You Give, You Spread Righteousness Through The Gospel)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Corinthians 9:8 TPT “Yes, God is more than ready to overwhelm you with every form of grace, so that you will have more than enough of everything -every moment and in every way. He will make you overflow with abundance in every good thing you do.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
After hearing the message on giving in church, Kelvin made up his mind to be a vital part of spreading the Gospel around the world. He started from where he was, and in no time, the seeds sown towards the Gospel propagation led to a multiplied increase in his finances. Unusual sources of wealth opened up to him, and he continued giving to the Lord!
One of the ways to live a life of influence, honour, and impact in the Kingdom of God is to be a genuine giver, generous to the cause of the Gospel. It’s inspiring to witness those filled with the utmost passion spread the Gospel into every nook and cranny of the world. See yourself as responsible for reaching everyone in your world and beyond with the Gospel before the Lord’s return.
Consider the remarkable testimony of Rhapsody of Realities devotional being available in all known and active languages of the world, making it the most translated material globally. This achievement occurred because many around the world made themselves available, giving their time and resources to ensure billions of people could read the message of the Gospel in their native language. You can choose to be a part of this today.
The Bible says, ‘As it is written: “He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.” Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness’ (2 Corinthians 9:9–10). Giving is righteousness, and by sowing seeds of righteousness, you produce fruits of righteousness. He says, “His righteousness endures forever.”
Yes, Christ has made you righteous, but there are fruits of righteousness that come from your works of righteousness. Works of righteousness are seeds of righteousness, and primarily manifested in your giving, they’ll return in an abundant harvest. Glory to God!

ENSURE YOU PRAY, ALWAYS! (Prayer Is So Vital And Important)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Luke 18:1 TLB “One day Jesus told his disciples a story to illustrate their need for constant prayer and to show them that they must keep praying until the answer comes.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Prayer is so vital for every Christian. There are certain situations that won’t change until you pray. Prayer encompasses not only the communication— the content of the prayer—but also our meditation during those times.
Even seclusion is important; when you shut yourself away from everything and everyone else to be alone with the Spirit of God, He can talk to you and open your eyes. As you speak in tongues, rolling your mind through the Scriptures, He’ll unveil Himself and His truth to your spirit. Hallelujah!
These are some of the secrets from God’s Kingdom given to His children to be successful in life. You ought to live in victory even in the midst of storms, and the life of victory in Christ is very simple. Whenever it’s possible to stay away from everything else to pray, do it. Always stir yourself and respond to the call and urgency of prayer from your spirit.
Jesus said we “…ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up)” (Luke 18:1 AMPC). Ephesians 6:18 says we ought to be “praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication…” (ESV). Give attention to praying in tongues. You have to pray always by the Holy Spirit; the words have to be energised, communicated, inspired, and anointed by the Holy Ghost. That’s what makes the difference. Praise God!

BE A GOOD COMMUNICATOR (Share The Gospel Effectively)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Timothy 2:24 AMPC “And the servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome (fighting and contending). Instead, he must be kindly to everyone and mildtempered [preserving the bond of peace]; he must be a skilled and suitable teacher, patient and forbearing and willing to suffer wrong"
▶️ LET’S TALK
I remember years ago, when I was preaching to a class of little children, all under ten years old. A trained child evangelist had invited me, and he stood at the back as I preached. While sharing the Word with them, I turned to the evangelist and saw him weeping profusely. As I wondered why he was crying, he walked up to me and said, “You just preached Jesus, not only to these children in here but also to me.” My speech and preaching to those kids weren’t with enticing words of man’s wisdom but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power (1 Corinthians 2:4).
As you grow in your Christian walk, it’s important to know how to clearly and effectively communicate the Gospel. As a young preacher, that was one of my biggest concerns; I knew if I didn’t communicate right, people wouldn’t hear me right. If they didn’t hear me right, they wouldn’t believe right. And if they didn’t believe right, their faith would be in jeopardy.
To communicate the Gospel effectively, you first need to study God’s Word: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15 KJV). When you study the Word and it gets into your spirit, it inspires, transforms, informs, educates, and shapes you.
Also, you have to trust the power of the Holy Spirit to help you convey the message in a way that transforms lives. The Lord Jesus said, “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water” (John 7:38). This refers to the Holy Spirit pouring out through you.
As the Word encourages us to be filled with the Spirit, do accordingly. Ephesians 5:18–20 KJV says, “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

PREACH LOVE, NOT SINS (Love: The Motivation For The Salvation Of Mankind)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 3:16 TPT “For here is the way God loved the world—he gave his only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
“Repent of your sins, or you’ll go to hell,” Claude bellowed every morning on his street, hoping the message would stir a revival. But he always wondered why no one ever listened or came around to ask him about the Lord. One day, while in prayer about this, the Holy Spirit told him, “You aren’t preaching good news as long as you aren’t telling them about the Lord Jesus and how His love led Him to take away man’s sins.”
You know, when preaching the Gospel, some Christians focus primarily on the subject of sin, emphasising the need for people to repent of their sins. The message of repentance was appropriate for the Jews because they were under the Law. They were required to turn away from wrongdoing and turn to God when they sinned. However, non-Jews—the Gentiles—had nothing to turn away from because they were never under the Law, which in itself was their condemnation.
The Bible says, “For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law” (Romans 5:13). But then, the Bible says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). This includes both Jews and Gentiles. If the Gentiles didn’t break the Law because it wasn’t given to them, then where was their sin? In the book of Genesis, we learn that when God created Adam and Eve, they lived in His presence and glory. They were cut off from that glory when Adam sinned against God.
Romans 5:19 ESV says, “For as by the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.” Through one man’s offence, all men fell short of the glory, but now, in Christ, the glory is restored: “... Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). Hallelujah! This is why your approach to the Gospel shouldn’t begin with the issue of sin; rather, it should begin with the message of love. That’s the key; that’s how Jesus puts it in our opening scripture. Love was His motivation. Notice in that verse that He said nothing about sin. That’s the Gospel of Christ. It’s a message of love and a message of life—the life and nature of God—that His death, burial, and resurrection have made possible and available to everyone who believes.

CARRY OUT THE WORD! (Understand Why You Should Follow His Instructions)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Proverbs 4:13 TLB “Carry out my instructions; don’t forget them, for they will lead you to real living.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
It’s important to understand why following God’s divine instructions matters. These instructions are meant to guide your life, so always take them seriously. Let’s look at how not following divine instructions turned out for someone in the Bible. Let’s look at Moses, who made a grave mistake because he didn’t fully grasp spiritual truth and let his anger take over. This cost him, and he couldn’t lead the children of Israel into the Promised Land.
In Numbers 20:8, God told Moses to speak to a rock to get water for the Israelites. But instead of speaking to the rock, Moses hit it with his rod. Water still came out, but God was dissatisfied with him. A previous instruction to Moses in Exodus 17:6 was for him to strike the rock for it to bring forth water, which he did, and water came out. But this time, the rock wasn’t to be smitten a second time, because that rock was Christ (1 Corinthians 10:4). Christ was to be smitten only once; after that, you talk to Him for whatever you want.
Even though Moses acted in disobedience by striking the rock twice, water still came out. But it didn’t produce the result God wanted. That tells us something: It’s not about the result you want; it’s about what’s right in the sight of God. Is the Father pleased? These things we read in the Scriptures are for our learning (Romans 15:4).
Practise spiritual understanding, spiritual wisdom, and walking in the Spirit. That’s your call. Only if we live this way can we please the Lord in all things. Understand the truth behind His instructions and do them. Hallelujah!

THERE’S PLENTY OF BREAD (Call Forth Your Supply Today)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Peter 1:3 “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
A lot of young people complain about the current state of their nation’s economy to anyone who cares to listen, but that shouldn’t be you! Why? Because you’ve got more supply than the world’s ever seen! Remember, in Matthew 6, Jesus taught His disciples how to pray, and even though He didn’t intend for that prayer to be repeated ritualistically, He said something very profound in verse 11. He said, “Give us this day our daily bread” (Matthew 6:11 NASB). Remember, this was before He brought us into the Kingdom. That means God had a plan for everybody.
The word “bread” there is symbolic; it isn’t just the staple food you prepare from a dough of flour and water. Rather, it means today’s supply—everything you require for today to live joyfully and fulfil God’s purpose. Hallelujah! When I read this many years ago, it dawned on me that I had a lot of leftover daily bread that had accumulated over time that I hadn’t taken possession of. Then I said, “In the Name of Jesus, I receive them all!” After all, the daily bread doesn’t expire with God.
In Joel 2:25, He said, “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust….” If He can restore all of that, then there’s no expiration with Him. So, if you’ve never taken possession of that which belongs to you since you became a Christian, that means you’ve been living a life below your status, in spite of the accumulation of wealth in your heavenly account. But the good news is that you can call forth your supply even now through your faith-filled affirmations. Call the supply forth in Jesus’ Name right now!

A few months later, Jenna’s thoughts were renewed, and she began to understand the enormity of her divine wealth and inheritance in Christ Jesus.
Our opening verse shows that the Word is able to regulate your mind to think right all the time—to think the Kingdom way. Someone might say, “You know I’m African, Asian, American, or European, and I think as such.” No! When you’re born again, you’re from God’s kingdom. You’re to think as one from heaven.
The Bible says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). If you want to be successful in Christ Jesus and live the life of the kingdom, you must think like Christ wants you to think. Romans 12:2 says, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Walking in God’s Word and having your mind renewed by the Word is the easiest thing for a Christian because the Word is your life. You were born of the Word (1 Peter 1:23); you have the life of the Word, so it’s easy for your perception, your outlook on life, to be from the Word. It’s easy for you to think and live the kingdom way and have kingdom results.

HE GUIDES YOU INTO ALL TRUTH (God’s Truth—The Word Of God—Is Reality)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 8:32 “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Guiding us into all truth is the ministry of the Holy Spirit; it’s something that God wants for your life. He is the Spirit of Truth. Truth is reality. John 17:17 says, “…Your word is truth.” Truth liberates, uplifts, blesses, and transforms. Truth inspires and energises you. And what is the Truth? Truth is the Word of God.
One day, the Lord showed me something really remarkable about knowing and walking in truth. I’ve mentioned it in different fora, but it bears repeating. It was about a man who was diagnosed with cancer and was told he had only a short time to live. But when the Lord showed me the same man in a vision, He said, “Look at him; he’s been diagnosed with cancer; therefore, he believes he has cancer. But in reality, there’s no cancer.” Then I looked at the man, and there was no cancer in his body.
That means, factually, there was cancer, but when you superimpose the truth on facts, the facts will change and line up with the truth. This is what many don’t realise. But that’s how to walk with God; that’s how to live with God. You superimpose His Word—the Truth—on the facts and circumstances of life.
It brings to mind what 2 Corinthians 4:18 says: “…For the things which are seen are temporal,” which means they’re subject to change. The growth or tumour may be there, but the Word of God—which is the TRUTH and the reality—says you’re perfected in Christ. Take your eyes away from facts; fix your gaze on truth, on the reality of God’s Word, which confirms and guarantees your victory, divine health, prosperity, dominion, and glorious life in Christ. Glory to God!

YOU WERE BORN RIGHTEOUS! (You Have The Gift Of Righteousness)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Isaiah 42:6 ESV ‘I am the Lord; I have called you in righteousness; I will take you by the hand and keep you; I will give you as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations.’
▶️ LET’S TALK
Isn’t it wonderful that we already have and are experiencing the blessings that the children of Israel will enjoy as a nation during the Millennium? For example, consider the gift of righteousness; we were born with it, but they would only begin to enjoy it in the Millennium. Jeremiah 23:5 says, ‘“Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; a King shall reign and prosper, and execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.”’ All this is about the millennial period.
The sixth verse says, “In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell safely; now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.” In the Millennium, the Lord will be their righteousness; they will enter the Millennium not living by or trusting in their own righteousness but in the righteousness of the one they had crucified. However, as the Church, we already possess and embody God’s righteousness in Christ Jesus.
It is the same with justification. In Isaiah 45:25, talking about the millennial period, the Bible says, “In the Lord all the descendants of Israel shall be justified, and shall glory.” They’ll come into justification at the Millennium; meanwhile, we’ve had and lived in justification for two thousand years. Romans 5:1 says we’ve been justified, that is, declared righteous, acquitted.
Acts 13:39 says by Him (Jesus Christ), all that believe are justified from all things from which they couldn’t be justified by the Law of Moses

WALK AWAY FROM ANGER (Cultivate A Calm, Peaceful, And Joyful Spirit)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Proverbs 22:24-25 MSG “Don’t hang out with angry people; don’t keep company with hotheads. Bad temper is contagious—don’t get infected.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
There are many things that could deface one’s beauty in the spirit; one of them is anger. Our opening verse says, “Don’t hang out with angry people; don’t keep company with hotheads” (MSG). In other words, avoid them. When God tells you to avoid something or someone, you better take it seriously. You might say, “I only get angry once in a while.” No! Anger is a quick destroyer; avoid it! Don’t even try to “tame” it; banish it. If you’ve been termed or described as someone who’s hotheaded and quick to anger, get before the Lord in prayer and ask the Holy Spirit to help you deal with anger. Then give yourself to the Word in meditation.
Don’t try to suppress anger; get rid of it. You may say, “I’ve always had anger in me since I was much younger, and by following God all through the years, I’ve been able to suppress my anger with the Word.” That’s wonderful, but God doesn’t want you at that level. It’s not a matter of suppressing the anger with the Word; it’s a matter of not even allowing anger any space in your life.
Harbouring anger has resulted in some deadly ailments and unexplainable challenges to the health of many people. But I tell you, if they’d eschew anger, they’d be healthy. The Bible says anger dwells in the bosom of fools (Ecclesiastes 7:9). And in Psalm 107:17, who does the Bible say are afflicted? Fools! “Fools, because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, were afflicted.”
The scriptures are replete with verses that admonish us against anger. In Psalm 37:8 (CEV), the Bible says, “Don’t be angry or furious. Anger can lead to sin.” Paul, in Ephesians 4:31 (AMPC), warns, “Let all bitterness and indignation and wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and resentment (anger, animosity)... be banished from you….” In Colossians 3:8, he also tells us, “… Now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.” Banish anger from your life.

INVIGORATED! (Miracle-Working Ability By The Spirit)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Ephesians 3:14-16 “For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Acts 19:20 tells us that in the city of Ephesus, “…The word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.” This is no surprise at all because, when you study Revelation 2:2–3, the Apostle John, by divine revelation, unveiled the state of the Ephesian church. It was a very spiritual church.
However, in Ephesians 3:14–16, the Apostle Paul had prayed for them and said, “For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man.”
He said, “I am praying for you that God would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened (invigorated) with might-miracle-working ability. He’s emphasising the importance of giving recognition to the working of God’s Word in our lives and the working of the Holy Spirit in our Christian growth.
Another version says to be strengthened with excellence by the Holy Spirit in your inner man, so that what you learn of God’s Word will not just be in your head but will work by the Holy Spirit in your life. He’s talking about the power of God’s Word and the Holy Spirit working out the perfect will of God in your life so that your Christianity will be effective.

GIVE WITH THE RIGHT MINDSET (The Mentality Of A Giver)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Mark 4:8 TLB “…Other seeds fell into good soil and produced grain, growing up and increasing and yielding thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
“Are you sure I’ll get a return on my giving? What if it doesn’t work?” quizzed Michelle to Franchesca.
“It will if you have your mind set on God’s Word. You’ve got to have the mentality of a farmer: when a farmer plants a seed, he doesn’t worry whether the seed will grow or not because he knows it has to. It’s the same with giving. When you give according to God’s Word, you’ll reap the benefits that the Word declares. Period!”
One of the most important principles in the Bible that ensures you keep growing financially is the principle of giving. Your giving is the way to facilitate your receiving because you can’t receive without first giving. Unfortunately, many people give to the Lord with a mindset of lack or loss. That’s not the best approach.
Such a mentality can prevent the miracle of receiving from happening. The Kingdom’s mindset towards giving is different. When you give to God, focus on the promise attached to your giving. Remember what Jesus said about the sower who planted seeds on good ground? He said it yielded fruits that grew and increased, producing thirty, sixty, and a hundred times what was sown (Mark 4:8). So, you could get a thirtyfold return, a sixtyfold return, or a hundredfold return on your giving.
With the right mindset, you can activate God’s miracle power to bring a thirtyfold, sixtyfold, or hundredfold return on what you’ve given! Train yourself to stay positive with God in your giving. Next time you give an offering or seed to God, do it with the mentality of someone who is part of the Kingdom, and you’ll have amazing testimonies.

POSSESS YOUR POSSESSIONS! (There’s Victory Through Perseverance And Prayer)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Obadiah 1:17 AMPC “But on Mount Zion [in Jerusalem] there shall be deliverance [for those who escape], and it shall be holy; and the house of Jacob shall possess its [own former] possessions.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
The Lord spoke through Moses concerning Joshua and Caleb and said, “That was the day that Moses solemnly promised, ‘The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance, you and your children’s, forever. Yes, you have lived totally for GOD’” (Joshua 14:9 MSG). The Lord had said specifically to Caleb, “Hebron shall be yours,” but Hebron had giants—the Anakims—who were in large walled cities. Caleb was unfazed; he professed that he was just as strong to possess the land as he was forty-five years prior when he spied out the land—very inspiring!
Caleb converted the inheritance into a possession; he took possession of Hebron, and it became his and his family’s land to this day (Joshua 14:13–14). It’s one thing to have an inheritance, but it’s another thing to have it in your possession. An inheritance can be allotted to you, but “the giants” might try to prevent you from taking possession of it. But you should stand your ground in faith and declare, “In the Name of Jesus, I take possession of all that belongs to me in Christ Jesus!”
The Lord has qualified and made you fit to become a partaker of the glorious inheritance of the saints in light; there’s an inheritance for you (Colossians 1:12). Let nothing cheat you out of God’s best. By the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God in your mouth, take full possession of all that’s yours in Christ, irrespective of the circumstances.
As you study and meditate on the Word, not only will you discover your inheritance in Christ, but you’ll also begin to relate to and enjoy all that God has made available to you. The inheritance was already yours, but through the knowledge of God’s Word and your faith-filled words, you take possession. Hallelujah!

HOW DIVINE ARE YOU? (Your Divine Nature In Christ Jesus)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Peter 2:9 NIV “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Some people might readily agree with you when you describe yourself as a child of God, but when you say you’re divine, they pause and warn you of going too far. But isn’t it contradictory to disagree that a child of God is divine? Being a child of God isn’t just religious talk. It means you’re an associate of the God-kind.
You’re a God-man or God-woman. The Bible says, “By which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (2 Peter 1:4). If you follow the tenses carefully, you’ll realise that this isn’t a promise; it’s already done. He’s made us partakers of the divine nature. The original Greek says, “associates of the God-kind,” similar to saying “mankind.” So, who really are you?
If you’re born again, you’ve been brought into the God-kind, a divine family. You have divine life. The Bible says in 1 John 5:13 (NIV), “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” God wants you to know you have eternal life. That’s the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The life you got from your parents when they gave birth to you has been replaced by eternal life. You now have the divine life that dispels and obliterates all sicknesses, diseases, and afflictions. This is what makes us invincible in life. This life dispels darkness, poverty, failure, and death. Hallelujah!

YOU’RE HIS POWER HOUSE (The Christian Carries The Living Presence Of God!)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Psalm 68:8 TPT “The earth shook beneath your feet; the heavens filled with clouds before the presence of the God of Sinai. The sacred mountain shook at the sight of the face of Israel’s God.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
Every time Sandra walked into a room, especially after a prolonged and intense period of praying in other tongues and fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit and God’s Word, the presence of God became tangible and palpable. Sicknesses prior to her arrival would vanish, headaches would cease, and those who weren’t saved would approach her, asking how to become born again. Why? Sandra knew she was the temple of God and consciously carried the presence of God everywhere she went.
The Bible says, “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16). This means you’re God’s house, His holy sanctuary. In Hebrews 3:1, the Bible says, “And so, dear brothers and sisters, you are now made holy...” (TPT). Colossians 1:22 (CEV) says, “..God made peace with you, and now he lets you stand in his presence as people who are holy and faultless and innocent.” Think about that!
Then, Ephesians 1:4 says, “…He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.” Hallelujah! In Exodus 19, when Moses brought the people from the camp to meet God, the Bible tells us that God descended on Mount Sinai with a terrible display of power: the mountain shook violently, with smoke billowing from it, causing the people to tremble before the Lord. God merely stepped on it, and it was declared a holy mountain. His presence made it holy. Now, think about the fact that He didn’t dwell in the mountain, but He dwells in you! That means you’re more holy than Mount Sinai, hallelujah!
No wonder Ephesians 5:25–27 tells us that Christ gave Himself for us, the Church, to sanctify and cleanse us with the washing of water by the Word and to present us to Himself as a glorious Church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that we should be holy and without blemish. Blessed be God!

NEUTRALISE THAT MISSILE! (Use Your Shield Against The Enemy)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
Ephesians 6:16 AMPC “Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one].”
▶️ LET’S TALK
When the Scripture tells us to take up the shield of faith against the enemy, it means our faith is a shield. With your faith, you’ll be able to neutralise or put out all the fiery darts of the wicked one. There are fiery missiles directed at you, and they’re coming from demonic forces. But with your faith, you can put them out. Discouragement and anger, for instance, are missiles from the enemy.
Some people could be by themselves and suddenly have anger and discouragement assault their minds. Those are the darts of the enemy. Some suddenly feel something like a hard object hit them from the side, yet there was no physical object or person present; that’s a fiery dart of the enemy. For some others, it comes as a sudden, sharp pain somewhere in the body. But thanks be to God! These darts from the enemy can be neutralised with your shield of faith.
The Bible says, “Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4 AMPC). 1 John 5:4 says, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” Your faith is what you need. This is what puts you over and above Satan and the circumstances of life. Remember that you don’t have to look around for a shield called faith; faith is in your spirit, as Paul succinctly puts it in Romans 12:3.
Keep building your faith strong by learning and acting on the Word. Irrespective of what happens around you, refuse to fear; speak the Word in faith. That’s how to use your shield of faith to put out Satan’s wiles and strategies. Stand on God’s Word, and your victory will be as sure as the Word is. Hallelujah!

HE’S GOT NOTHING IN YOU (Walk In Love: The Antidote For Selfishness And Greed)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 14:30 AMPC “I will not talk with you much more, for the prince (evil genius, ruler) of the world is coming. And he has no claim on Me. [He has nothing in common with Me; there is nothing in Me that belongs to him, and he has no power over Me.]”
▶️ LET’S TALK
It’s very easy for Satan to use people in whom he’s deposited something of himself, for example, selfishness or greed. Anyone who is selfish isn’t walking in the love of God. Love rules over selfishness. God’s love is gracious. Selfishness in the heart is an invitation to satanic influence, for Satan is the author of selfishness. This is why you must eschew selfishness, greed, and other traits that are consistent with Satan’s nature.
Don’t allow Satan to have any of his traits in you. Jesus said, “…He has no claim on Me. [He has nothing in common with Me; there is nothing in Me that belongs to him, and he has no power over Me]” (John 14:30 AMPC). Satan had nothing in Jesus. There was nothing Satan could lay claim to or influence in Jesus. That’s the way it should be with you; Satan should find nothing in you that attracts him to you or that he can use to promote his agenda.
It’s the reason you must walk in love at all times. Love is the antidote for selfishness and greed. Then also, speak the truth always. Proverbs 6:16–19 highlights traits that are consistent with Satan’s nature that you must eschew. It says, “…There are six things the Lord hates—no, seven: haughtiness, lying, murdering, plotting evil, eagerness to do wrong, a false witness, sowing discord among brothers” (TLB). The Bible says, “…Don’t give the devil a chance” (Ephesians 4:27 CEV). Don’t permit or give vent to any of his traits in your life. Walk in God’s light—His Word—and everything of Satan and darkness will be repelled from you.

🔊 Pray
The prince of this world has nothing in me! The Word of God that gave birth to me is perfect and incorruptible; therefore, nothing of darkness is in me. I have the light of life; there’s nothing in my life that produces darkness. In all I do, my motives are right and void of selfishness, and the love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit. Amen.

EVER TRIUMPHANT IN CHRIST (You Are More Than A Conqueror In Christ Jesus)
👤 Pastor Chris
📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Corinthians 2:14 “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.”
▶️ LET’S TALK
“Life’s tough, isn’t it? But the Bible says we’re conquerors through God’s love, doesn’t it?” Joseph said to Stella.
“Actually, it says we are more than conquerors through the Lord Jesus Christ! And nothing in this world can separate us from His love,” Stella replied.
The world today might be experiencing terrible agonising times, but the Bible clearly shows that these things aren’t new: “That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun” (Ecclesiastes 1:9). There was economic hardship, deception, fear, and terrorism back then, as there is today.
These were, and still are, tricks used by the adversary to oppress people. But our God is faithful throughout all generations. He leads us in perpetual triumph. It doesn’t matter if there is darkness in the world; refuse to fear. God has ordained your victory, promotion, and prosperity in the midst of darkness.
He already planned that you’d be a success in this life, irrespective of what’s going on in the world around you: “Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything! So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that his love will triumph over death, life’s troubles, fallen angels, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken his love. There is no power above us or beneath us—no power that could ever be found in the universe that can distance us from God’s passionate love, which is lavished upon us through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One!” (Romans 8:37–39 TPT).

🔊 Speak
I thank you, Father, for your glory in my life, for making the lines fall unto me in pleasant places, and for giving me a good heritage. I live and walk in wealth and health. Greater is He who’s in me than he who’s in the world. I’m the glory of God!
