PRAISE IS WORSHIP (Praise: The Highest Form Of Worship)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Psalm 138:2 “I will worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth; for You have magnified Your word above all Your name.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Sometimes, people try to draw a line between praise and worship, thinking they’re completely different, but here’s the truth: praise is worship. Praise is one of the things you do when you worship God. In fact, it’s the highest part of worship. The simple difference between them is that worship includes other things you do for the Lord. For example, your service to God is an act of worship.

Once you clearly understand praise as the highest part of worship, you’ll realise how important it is in your relationship with God. The Bible says, “You also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 2:5).

The Church is this holy priesthood assigned to offer up spiritual sacrifices to God, and there are different kinds of sacrifices. An example is when you give up something valuable for God or volunteer your time through missionary activities. But the highest sacrifices are the sacrifices of praise.

The Bible says, “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name” (Hebrews 13:15). Notice that it says we’re to offer our sacrifice of praise to God continually, not just once in a while. This shows just how important it is. Paul describes it as the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His Name.

David made a similar reference in Psalm 69:30-31. He said, “I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bull, which has horns and hooves.” Did you see that? He said, “I will magnify him with thanksgiving.” The next verse lets us know that carrying out this act of praise to God is a massive testimony; it says, “The humble shall see this and be glad…” (Psalm 69:32). Right this moment, give thanks to the Lord. Praise Him lavishly from your heart; think of something you want to thank Him for, and then go ahead to praise Him profusely.

Dear Father, thank you for your glorious presence in my life. You’ve ordained all things to work together for my good, and my heart continually overflows with thanks and praise because this is your will in Christ Jesus concerning me. I’m triumphant in all situations and circumstances of life, and for this, I praise you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen

BARE BEFORE HIS EYES (God Sees Your Heart)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Jeremiah 17:10 “I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
There’re remarkable instances in Scripture that help us understand that the Lord indeed tests men’s hearts. Consider the story of David, how God chose him from the house of Jesse, and the very significant rejection of his brother, Eliab. Eliab’s outward appearance was everything you’d want in a leader. The moment he showed up, and Samuel the Prophet saw him, he said, “…Surely the Lord’s anointed is before Him!” (1 Samuel 16:6).

However, the Bible says, ‘…The Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart”’ (1 Samuel 16:7). Notice the Lord’s choice of words; He didn’t say, “Don’t anoint Eliab, for I have not chosen him.” If He had said that, it would mean Eliab wasn’t even considered in the first place. But the Lord said, “I have refused him.” It means that God considered him and said, “No!”

Did Eliab ever know that he was considered by God to someday be king over Israel? No! But God considered him and found him wanting. The story of Abraham is another case in point, this time a positive one because Abraham passed the test. After years of wanting a child, he and Sarah eventually had a son at their old age. But one day, the Bible says God tested Abraham. He asked him to offer his only son, Isaac, as a sacrifice (Genesis 22:2). God didn’t announce to Abraham, “Hey, I want to test you now.” No! But Abraham demonstrated his faith that God could raise Isaac from the dead, and symbolically, that’s exactly what happened (Hebrews 11:17-19). He trusted completely in the Lord and obeyed.

You may never know when you’re being tested or considered for the next level of your assignment and promotion. The important thing is for you not to be found wanting. It’s the reason you must walk in faith, hope, and love. Be humble, and always be at your best, not in hypocrisy but in integrity of heart and uprightness, for God indeed sees your heart.

THE HOW-TO OF SALVATION (The Salvation Principle For Every Man, Woman, Boy, And Girl)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Romans 10:9-10 NIV ‘That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.’

▶️ LET’S TALK
On a certain morning, Aleydis approached Octavia, asking her if she believed in Jesus Christ. Octavia replied scornfully, “I don’t know how to believe; you’re a Christian—you can do the believing for me.”

Aleydis responded with a smile, “No, Octavia, anyone with a heart can believe, and you can too! Let me explain: it’s quite simple.” And she went on to share Romans 10:9-10 with her and explain the Gospel of Jesus Christ to her. This time spent with Octavia led to her receiving salvation that day.

What we just read in our opening verse of scripture (Romans 10:9-10) is a principle of salvation for all men and women, young or old. They all believe with their hearts, regardless of who they are, where they come from, or what they have; they can only believe with the heart—the spirit. That’s the way to be made righteous. However, that’s not all.

Every man, woman, boy, and girl ever born and that’ll ever be born into this world has already been “saved” by Jesus Christ. When He died, He died to save all humanity. However, salvation is only a vital experience in the life of the one who not only believes but affirms the lordship of Jesus over his or her life. In other words, upon believing in Jesus, there’s the further step of affirming His Lordship: with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. That’s the second part of the principle.

To receive salvation isn’t by your crying to God or doing good acts for Him to approve you. Salvation is a gift from God (Ephesians 2:8) received by you through your affirmation of His Word. Once you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and confess with your mouth that He’s Lord over your life, your spirit is reborn instantly through the impartation of eternal life by the Holy Spirit.

It’s not difficult at all to receive salvation; some people think they need to do a bunch of good stuff to make things right with God. But no, to receive salvation isn’t about your good deeds; it’s about your faith in Christ’s vicarious death and resurrection. Hallelujah!

FROM WORDS TO FLESH (Jesus Christ: He Is The Divine “Logos”)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 1:1 ESV “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
The term “Word” in our opening scripture above is the Greek term “Logos,” which describes God’s Word presented to us as His opinions, thoughts, ideas, doctrines, treatises, accounts, wisdom, knowledge, plans, and purposes. Thus, our knowledge and understanding of the Word are crucial. When God speaks His Word to you, even if all He says is, “Go,” that phrase alone will guide and guard your life in everything. That’s because all of Him and all that He represents are in His Word (the divine Logos). Hallelujah!

This Logos of God made all things: “He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made” (John 1:2-3). Suddenly, we observe that the Apostle John gives personality to the Logos of God; he uses the personal pronoun “Him” instead of “it.” Then in verse 14, it becomes even clearer; it says, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).

Imagine all of God’s ideas, all of God’s knowledge, all of God’s wisdom, all of who He is—in personality, in quality, all of His ability to perceive—all of that in the divine Logos—became flesh and lived among us. This is Jesus! Jesus is the divine Logos. The Word God spoke, His “speech,” became a man; the Word of God became a living, breathing human being! When they saw Him in Bible days, as He walked by, they saw the totality of the mind and will of God the Father. He was God’s message in flesh. Glory to God, hallelujah!

GET IT PERFECTLY FIRST TIME! (Walk In God’s Perfection)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Corinthians 2:12-13 NASB “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Some people just never seem to be able to do anything right. When there’s something they should do in one day, they end up spending one week or even one month on it, and still it doesn’t turn out right. They don’t get things right the first time because they don’t know how to function with the wisdom of God’s Spirit.

But you’re different. You’re God’s child, and you can walk in His perfection. You’ve been perfected in Christ Jesus (Hebrews 10:14). He’s made His wisdom available to you in Christ Jesus (1 Corinthians 1:30). To appropriate this wisdom in your life, you’ve got to confess it and act like it. You declare thus: “God’s wisdom in me makes me think, talk, and act rightly; the Lord leads me everywhere I go.” His wisdom becomes your confession, and then it guides your mind in the direction of your words.

Another important thing you need for the life in Christ is praying in the spirit; that means praying in tongues. Doing so quickens and energises your spirit. It causes your spirit to pick up the signals of God and gives you accuracy in the things you do, and the more accurate you are, the more effective you become and the more results you get.

When you function by God’s Spirit in these two important ways, your spirit becomes so sensitive to God’s Spirit that things concerning you (and even others within your sphere of influence) are brought to your consciousness quickly and easily, such that when you talk or act, you’re always on point. You’ll become more accurate in the things you do, and you’ll find that you’re always on top!

DON’T NURSE ANY SICKNESS (Take Charge Over Your Body)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
As a child of God, your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and the Spirit of God dwells in you (1 Corinthians 6:19). This means your body is not yours; it’s owned by God. However, you are the one responsible for taking care of your body; you are to keep watch over it, maintain its health, and decide what to allow or disallow into your physical being.

This is why you must learn to exercise authority over your body by rejecting sickness, disease, and infirmity. Sometimes, we encounter Christians who unknowingly make detrimental confessions over their bodies, such as saying, “Oh, I have this growth on my shoulder” or “I always wake up with headaches.”

When people talk this way, they are actually nurturing and pampering sickness in their bodies without realising it. You ought to exercise your God-given authority and declare, “In the Name of Jesus, I refuse to accommodate headaches.” Say, “I cut out this growth from my body in Jesus’ Name.” Remember, Jesus said, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19). This should make you aware that you’re not ordinary; refuse to be infected by any sickness, disease, or infirmity.

When sickness attempts to attach itself to your body, reject it. Command your body on how it should feel, and do not entertain sickness within your body; cut it out with the Word of God. Command your body’s response, and it will comply. Instead of saying, “I’ve got sugar diabetes,” take charge of the blood sugar; use your words to control every situation. Affirm, “In the Name of Jesus, I reject diabetes in my body,” and your words will manifest.

BEING “BORN AGAIN” (Being A Christian Has Nothing To Do With Religion)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 3:3 ‘Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”’

▶️ LET’S TALK
In the Garden of Eden, Adam sinned against God. At that moment, darkness entered the world, and man became estranged and cut off from the light of God. Man has longed for a relationship with God ever since and has sought different ways to make it happen, leading to the formation of various religions. Religion, in essence, is man seeking his own ways to contact or communicate with God.

Unfortunately, man hasn’t been able to find God in religion. Nevertheless, God, in His mercy, sent Jesus to the world to reunite man with God, to reveal who He is, what He’s like, and what He desires. Jesus Christ is the revelation of the Father’s will, the manifestation of the Father’s love, the expression of God’s personality, and the outshining of His glory.

Jesus introduced a new concept when He came into the world, saying that one must be “born again.” This is where it all begins. To step into the light of God, possess His life and nature, and become one with Him, one must be born again. To be born again is to receive Christ into your heart; it means to receive eternal life into your spirit. Eternal life is the nature of God, distinct from the human life you were born with. It is the incorruptible and indestructible life of God, making us associates of the God-kind. When you’re born again, your spirit comes alive to God, and the Kingdom of God becomes a living reality to you.

Being born again signifies a separation into a life of glory, triumph, success, prosperity, and blessed assurance. The rudiments of this world no longer govern your life; you’ve been disconnected from the domain of darkness and transferred into the glorious liberty of the sons of God. This transcends religion. Glory to God!

PRAISE HIM... NO MATTER WHAT! (Praise God At All Times And In All Situations)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Psalm 18:47-49 AMPC “The God who avenges me and subdues peoples under me, who delivers me from my enemies; yes, you lift me up above those who rise up against me; you deliver me from the man of violence. Therefore will I give thanks and extol you, O Lord, among the nations, and sing praises to your name.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Always, it’s important that we learn to thank the Lord for all the wonderful things we experience and also for those things we may not really consider to be very nice. Some people are only joyful and thankful to the Lord when things seem to be going well but they gripe in the face of adversity. It ought not to be so. Irrespective of the situation or your immediate circumstances, you should always sing to Him and give thanks to the Father. Worship and praise Him, no matter what!

Let me share this with you: Some years ago, a Christian gentleman who worked with the government had been praying and expecting promotions on his job. Then, there was a problem at his office; he was accused of certain things for which he wasn’t really at fault. So, he prayed that God would vindicate him. Instead of being vindicated, he was pronounced guilty, and as a result, he was demoted. Everything went wrong for him. In that state, however, he kept attending church services, serving and worshipping the Lord, confident that God would vindicate him.

Not long afterwards, there was a change of government, and all those who were ahead of him were fired, but he was retained! And since he was then the most senior of all those that were retained, he became the new boss. If he had been promoted as he had been expecting, he’d have been among the senior cadre of staff that were laid off by the new government. Sometimes, we have no idea what the Lord is doing behind the scenes on our behalf, which is why the Bible says, “Thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live” (1 Thessalonians 5:18 MSG). In every situation, give Him thanks, no matter what!

OPEN THEIR EYES (The Unveiling Power Of The Gospel)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Acts 26:16-18 “…I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you. I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles…to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
The Gospel of Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit, opens men’s eyes to see the light of God. When the Word comes to a man, he receives vision; no wonder the Psalmist said, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105). The first thing the Holy Spirit does to a sinner is to open his eyes because until a man’s eyes are open spiritually, he remains in darkness.

Therefore, in praying for people in your environment, in your family, or in the regions beyond who are yet to know the Lord, intercede that their eyes be open to see! The power to open their eyes is the Gospel of Jesus Christ communicated by the power of the Holy Spirit.

When they come to Christ, He opens their eyes, but that’s only the beginning; He continues to enlarge their vision of the kingdom through the Word. As they study the Word, hear, and learn more about Him, He further enlightens the eyes of their understanding, allowing them to know and walk in their heritage and inheritance in Christ.

Keep preaching the Gospel; there’s no salvation without the Gospel; the power of salvation is in the Gospel, and it works only for the person who believes; and that’s where you come in. The Bible says, “…How shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Romans 10:14). Do you see why you should have a burning heart to share the Gospel? You’re God’s agent of salvation, ordained to turn sinners from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Praise God!

DEMAND IT IN HIS NAME (Be Bold To Use The Name Of Jesus In Prayer)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Ephesians 3:12 AMPC “In Whom, because of our faith in Him, we dare to have the boldness (courage and confidence) of free access (an unreserved approach to God with freedom and without fear).”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Lord, all I’m begging you for is just a few dollars to have lunch with” and “Father, stop the devil from harassing me, through Jesus’ Name” are some of the confusing prayers some people pray without realising that God doesn’t hear them. Others marvel at us sometimes when we pray, wondering why we could be so audacious and confident. The reason we pray with such authority and audacity of faith is that we pray in the Name of Jesus. In John 14:13, Jesus said, “…Whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”

The key is asking in His Name, living in the authority of His Name. Many, lacking this understanding, pray “through” Jesus instead of praying “in” the Name of Jesus. There’s a great difference between the two. When you pray in the Name of Jesus, you’re exercising the full legal powers He gave you to act in His stead. But to pray through Him is to make Him a medium, which isn’t required now that you’re in Him.

When you understand and have the consciousness of the power and import of the Name of Jesus and what it represents, you won’t have to try to “squeeze” up faith when you need it. When you pray or make demands in His Name, it’s as though Jesus Himself were speaking; everything responds to you the same way they would respond to Jesus. The angels, demon spirits, and all of nature respond to you as though they were hearing directly from Jesus.

In Matthew 17:5, the Father spoke from heaven: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” He was telling all of creation and all of nature—animate and inanimate— to hear and obey Jesus. So, when Jesus said to ask anything in His Name, it was against this backdrop. He meant that His power would be behind our demands, prayers, requests, and instructions to bring them to pass. This is the reason for our boldness and confidence in prayer.

🎯 Go Deeper
John 16:23-24; Philippians 2:8-11

Dear Father, I thank you because I’ve got boldness, access, and confidence in the faith of Jesus Christ. And in His Name, I lay hold of and enjoy my inheritance. The whole world is mine because I’m a joint-heir with Christ. All of nature responds to me in the Name of Jesus! Amen.

RELEASE THE WORD (Meditate On And Voice God’s Word From Your Lips)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Romans 10:10 “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
It’s not enough to know God’s Word as it’s contained in the written pages of the Bible; you have to release power through speaking! That’s how it works! With the Word on your lips, you’ll live over and above all limitations and circumstances. Voicing your faith is a fundamental spiritual principle, without which even the gift and blessing of salvation can’t be received or activated. Notice the opening verse again: “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:10).

The salvation package is delivered upon satisfying these two conditions: Believing and confessing the Lordship of Jesus. To believe isn’t enough; there must be the corresponding verbal communication or affirmation of your faith. When you speak the Word, what you’re doing is releasing the power of God into action on your behalf. For example, God instructed Joshua, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” (Joshua 1:8).

The Hebrew rendering of the word “meditate” is “hagah,” which means to ponder, imagine, murmur, mutter, speak, study, talk, utter, or roar. It isn’t talking about you thinking the Word only; rather, it means you ought to voice out the Word as well. Notice that the instruction to Joshua doesn’t make any mention of us speaking to anyone. So, it makes no difference whether or not anyone is listening to you; you just keep talking the Word. When matters arise, use the Word. Speak the Word and change things. The Word of God in your mouth is God talking.

NO LAWS, JUST LOVE (Jesus Brought Something Far Higher Than Moses’ Law)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 1:17 ESV “For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Lord Jesus, you’re so different from the Law! Your grace and truth puzzle sinners all day long.”

“You make me love You more all the time....”

Sandra paused as she wrote a love poem to the Lord. And to end it all, she penned down: “Love so amazing; You are mine!”

Yes, the Lord Jesus truly is different from all man has been used to: He functioned in God’s perfect wisdom, and as a result, He completely baffled and dazzled those in His day. He had a different mindset. His words and teachings were different; in most cases, they were in complete antithesis to the Law and to natural human thinking.

According to the Law, for example, the soul that sins shall die (Ezekiel 18:20), but Jesus manifested the love, mercies, and grace of God: “For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ” (John 1:17). Moses taught, “An eye for an eye; life for life,” but Jesus came to reveal to us the life and nature of God, the way God thinks—the way that wins—the love way.

Man had been raised in the natural world to be vengeful and wicked, to be insulting and injurious. But Jesus taught that we should love our enemies, pray for, and bless our detractors and persecutors: “…Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you” (Matthew 5:44). That’s strange to the natural man. Loving your enemies isn’t what you’d naturally like to do. Nonetheless, Jesus came with Kingdom principles—a new way to live.

He spoke love and demonstrated love. Those who heard Him heard Love’s voice. Those He encountered felt Love’s embrace. Even the officers that were sent to arrest Him on a certain occasion, after listening to His teachings, submitted, “…No man ever spoke like this man!” (John 7:46). Jesus functioned with the wisdom of the just; that’s what you need in your life; that’s what stands you out and makes you a wonder to your world.

ARE YOU FIT IN YOUR SPIRIT? (Get In On The Exciting Benefits Of Prayer)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Thessalonians 5:17 TLB “Always keep on praying.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
In the same way a gymnast keeps herself fit and trained, physically and emotionally, for the Olympic games she’s to participate in, we ought to keep our spirits spiritually trained, through praying in the spirit, for everyday living. When you understand the importance and higher purposes of prayer, you’ll always be willing and excited to pray, especially in other tongues. One of the beautiful things the Holy Spirit has done in our lives as God’s children is to give us the ability to speak in other tongues.

When we speak in tongues, the utterances and words we speak aren’t man-made but from the Lord. Moreover, we aren’t speaking to men but to God: “For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries” (1 Corinthians 14:2). When you pray in tongues, you’re in fellowship with the Father; you’re communicating with Him through the Spirit in a heavenly language. What a blessing that is!

Also, praying in tongues helps to stir up the power of God resident in your spirit. Though that power came into your life when you received the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8), you’ve got to keep it active and in use for His glory. Praying in tongues will keep you more “fit” spiritually and responsive to the guidance and promptings of the Spirit. The more time you spend in fellowship with the Lord, praying in the Holy Ghost, the more His character and personality are revealed in and manifested through you.

Some are only compelled to pray when they face crises in life, and that’s not right. We’re called into fellowship with our heavenly Father; that’s what prayer, and praying, is primarily for: fellowship! Take your personal and corporate times of prayer very seriously. Create the opportunities in the course of your day to fellowship with the Lord through prayer, and your life will flourish from glory to glory.

CHRIST: YOUR LIFE SOURCE (Your Body Lives By The Holy Spirit In You)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Colossians 3:4 AMPC “When Christ, Who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in [the splendor of His] glory.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
You can only acknowledge the tremendous effect of the Holy Spirit’s presence in and on your physical body when you study Romans 8:11 NASB: “...If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.“ Jesus said, “...These attesting signs will accompany those who believe… if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well” (Mark 16:17-18 AMPC). Why is that? It’s because your body isn’t being kept alive by blood; you live by the Holy Ghost! As a Christian, it’s inconsistent with your true nature and identity to be sick.

Many haven’t been taught the Word correctly, so they claim the headache because they feel it. The feeling of a headache doesn’t mean you “have” it. Another may say, ‘I “have” cancer’ because he was diagnosed with cancer. Yes, the doctor may have seen a growth somewhere in your body, but since Christ is in you, even if your body is dead or ravaged by cancer, the Spirit gives it life because of righteousness (Romans 8:10). Just the realisation—your consciousness—that Christ is your life and that He has already quickened your mortal body is enough to keep living the divine life!

Christ in you is your hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). How could you be sick when Christ lives in you? How could anything be wrong with your liver, heart, or kidney when Christ is your life? It’s not possible! The trouble is that not too many are conscious of the life of Christ that’s in them. Become aware that Christ lives in you; He’s your life, and He makes you well. Hallelujah! Walk in the dominion and power of His glory and righteousness in you.

THE POWER OF ATTORNEY (Our Legal Authority To Act On Jesus’ Behalf)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 14:13-14 “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
When we say that Jesus gave us the power of attorney to use His Name, many don’t understand what this means. The term “power of attorney” refers to a legal authorization that gives a designated person the power to act on one’s behalf. It therefore means that every request you make is as though Jesus were the one making it, since you’re making it in His Name.

John, one of the apostles, captured this idea in his writings by sharing the words of Jesus. For instance, in John 14:13-14, Jesus said, “…Whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” This means when you make a demand or request in His Name, it’s extraordinary— like a legal authority granted to you.

It’s like what Paul tells us in Colossians 3:17: “… Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” There’s another beautiful reference in John 16:23; it says, “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.”

When He said, “And in that day…,” the Lord was referring to the day of the new deal—the day of salvation that He came to consummate. That day began from His resurrection. So, we’re in “that day” where we use and live in His Name. If you’ve ever wondered why, all over the world, we use the Name of Jesus in prayer, this is the reason.

So, right now, use His Name to effect changes in your world. He told us we could, and you should! Address issues in your nation, your physical body, your school, etc., in His Name and expect a change.

IGNORANCE ISN’T BLISS! (The Danger Of Ignorance)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Matthew 22:29 ESV ‘…Jesus answered them, “You are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God.”’

▶️ LET’S TALK
Read the opening verse of scripture once again and consider the fact that the Lord Jesus addressed those whom the whole nation of Israel trusted to give them the knowledge of God. So much trust was reposed in them, but they were clueless. These same leaders, whom everyone trusted, ended up condemning Jesus to death, and before the very eyes of Israel, Jesus was reviled, insulted, assaulted, and crucified. They called Jesus a deceiver, but they were the ones deceiving and being deceived.

No wonder Apostle Paul, in one of his writings, said, “The experts of our day haven’t a clue about what this eternal plan is. If they had, they wouldn’t have killed the Master of the God-designed life on a cross” (1 Corinthians 2:8 MSG). Paul had his own share of these malicious attacks fomented by the Jewish leaders. On one occasion, he and his colleagues were in Thessalonica to preach. As Paul preached in their synagogue, some Gentiles and many important women believed his message. But the Jewish leaders were offended and then incited some insurrectionists to start a riot in the city (Acts 17). They were ignorant of God’s plan of salvation for the Gentiles.

Also, Paul, in looking back at his life, realised how ignorance led him to persecute the Church before his conversion: “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief” (1 Timothy 1:12-13).

Understanding God’s Word through the Scriptures is super important, and a lack of knowledge of the Scriptures makes people do a lot of terrible things. And this isn’t just for those in Bible days back then; it’s still vital for us today, especially for those who teach or lead others in the Word. So, get to know the Word; study the Scriptures for yourself like the Bible says: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15 KJV).

DIRECTED TOWARD YOU (His Power And Greatness Are For Your Advantage)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Hebrews 13:15 “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Check this out: Today’s opening verse of scripture refers to the Lord, Jesus Christ. By Him, we’re to continually offer spiritual sacrifices to God in praise. Praise is thanksgiving: thanking and extolling God’s majesty and greatness, acknowledging Him in His acts of kindness for which you’re grateful and thankful.

But here’s the really cool part: in praising Him and acknowledging His greatness, we’re thankful that His greatness is directed towards us for our advantage, in loving us, taking care of us, blessing us, and all the numerous things He’s done for us.

The prayer of God’s Spirit through Paul the apostle in Ephesians 1:19 further explains it. It says, “And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.” For example, when God demonstrated that great power in raising Jesus from the dead, He raised us up together with Him. Hallelujah!

Everything He’s revealed to us about His power and His greatness is all about blessing us. He created all things: the stars, the moons, the sun, all the planets, the things we know and don’t know, and the ones we see and don’t see; they’re all for us.

No wonder the Bible says in 1 Timothy 6:17 that He gives us all things richly to enjoy. He shared all of what He’s got with us! 2 Peter 1:3 says, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things….” Think about that! Then He said in 1 Corinthians 3:21, “…All things are yours.” Praise God!

SPIRITUAL SONGS (Worship The Lord From Your Spirit)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Ephesians 5:19 KJV “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Spiritual songs” in the scripture above really doesn’t refer to the spiritual content of the songs but that the songs are inspired songs of the Spirit. Apostle Paul was talking about this when he said, “For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. What is the outcome then? I will pray with the spirit and I will pray with the mind also; I will sing with the spirit and I will sing with the mind also” (1 Corinthians 14:14-15 NASB).

When you sing with the spirit, you sing in other tongues. These songs come out of your spirit, not from your head or understanding. It’s similar to the way you release your tongue to the Holy Spirit to pray in tongues, only that this time you’re singing and worshipping the Lord in other tongues. Jesus said, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24 KJV). Singing and worshipping the Lord in the understanding is cool, but you should ascend higher: sing songs and worship the Lord from your spirit because that’s deeper fellowship. Worshipping in the spirit is climatic and higher!

The latter part of our opening scripture says, “…Singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.” Your songs of the spirit aren’t for the guy or lady close to you. No one may like the way the songs sound, but you’re not singing to anyone; you’re singing to the Lord (1 Corinthians 14:2)! There’s a divine exchange in this kind of worship: as your spirit passes words in the Spirit to God, the Holy Ghost passes information to your spirit.

When you finish such sessions of fellowship with the Spirit, you’re literally on top of the world; no challenge moves you because your spirit has gained the mastery! At that point, you know, without a doubt in your spirit, that you’re more than a conqueror and a victor for life! This is Christianity: it’s the life of the spirit, lived from the inside out!

ARE YOU WORD-FOCUSED? (Practise Meditation On God’s Word)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Timothy 4:15 “Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Reid always had it difficult with his studies; his scores came back full of “F’s” whenever he assessed his work after an exam or test. “I’ve tried everything I know; now I feel like giving up on school altogether because it seems I’ll never succeed at it no matter how hard I try!” he moped. Nate, a friend of his sitting close by, heard the Holy Spirit say to him, “Talk to Reid about meditation.”

Nate went over and showed him what Joshua 1:8 and 1 Timothy 4:15 say about meditating on God’s Word. Reid put God’s Word to work, and it helped him in his studies and his grades improved dramatically.

You may be reading this and wondering, “What connection does meditating on God’s Word possibly have with my academic success?” The Bible does show where the connection lies; Joshua 1:8 says, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

Meditation is defined as a deep, continuous contemplation of a subject; when you focus your thoughts on any part of God’s Word concerning you this way, he says it’ll empower you and cause you to do what it says, and as you do the Word, you’ll make your own way prosperous and have good success (Joshua 1:8), and your progress will be evident to all (1 Timothy 4:15).

So, you see, it’s up to you, really. You can be as successful, prosperous, and victorious as you choose to be. The secret is meditating on the Word of God.

A HEART FILLED WITH LOVE (Love: The Manifestation Of The Christ-Life In You)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 John 3:14 GNB “We know that we have left death and come over into life; we know it because we love others. Those who do not love are still under the power of death.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“I love you” is, for some Christians, the hardest thing to say, but the truth is, the first manifestation of eternal life in you is the love of God. When you’re born again, the love of the Father awakens in your spirit. Some people hate Christians, not because we did anything wrong, but simply because of Jesus. Such individuals aren’t born again; they haven’t passed from death to life. When you’re born again, you can’t hate anyone because love resides in your heart. It’s the fruit of your recreated human spirit.

1 John 3:14 says we know we’ve passed from death to life, not because we can perform miracles or prophesy and speak in tongues; it’s because we love our brothers and sisters in Christ! As a Christian, you must make the uncompromising choice to always walk in love. It doesn’t matter the extent of hatred and animosity you experience from those around you; you have the obligation as a Christian to love and not hate.

Reflect on our Lord Jesus: think about how they were cruel to Him, nailing Him to the cross and cursing Him. Yet He looked up to heaven and said, “…Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do...” (Luke 23:34). That’s love! He could have destroyed them all in a moment, but His love overlooked their ignorance and forgave their wrongs. The love you have for other believers is a testimony in your spirit; it’s a witness within you that you’ve passed from death to life. Hallelujah!

👤 Pastor Chris

▶️ LET’S TALK
In Romans 6:14, the Bible says, “...Sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.” The problem of sin has been dealt with. In the Old Testament, the Prophet Isaiah cried out, “...Your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear” (Isaiah 59:2). But it’s not the case anymore, thanks to Christ’s redemptive work; He’s the mediator between God and humanity.

The Bible says God was in Christ, reconciling the world—sinners—to Himself, not counting their sins against them. God isn’t holding sin against you because of Jesus; our sins were laid on Him. No one today should bear the punishment for their sins because Jesus already paid the full penalty for sin. He was judged for our sake (Isaiah 53:5).

Following His sacrificial work on our behalf, He initiated and established peace between God and humanity; He reconciled us with the Father in the body of His flesh through death. Colossians 1:21-22 declares, “...You, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight.” The latter part of this scripture clearly reveals the reason for the reconciliation: “…to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight.” Now, you’re qualified to live in the presence of God without inferiority, guilt, or condemnation; you’re free from all accusations, being justified by His grace. Glory to God!

The reason you’re holy, blameless, and justified before the Father isn’t because of what you did or didn’t do; it’s the result of what Jesus did. His death, burial, and resurrection reconciled you to the Father and brought you into oneness and fellowship with Him. Hallelujah!

WORK WITH THE SPIRIT (The Holy Ghost Needs Your Cooperation)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 14:16 “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Even though the Father gave us the Holy Spirit to be with us and live within us, He (the Holy Spirit) requires our cooperation to carry out His ministry in our lives. He doesn’t do His work in you without you. This somewhat accounts for the reason His manifestations could differ in the lives of Christians. In some Christians, He’s manifested in a great measure, while in others, His work is suppressed; you rarely see the proof of the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives. This ought not to be.

Cooperate with the Holy Spirit; be synchronised with Him. Encourage His work in your life. The ministry of the Holy Spirit is manifested in your life to the extent that you allow Him. The more you cooperate with Him and encourage His work in your life, the more He manifests Himself in and through you. Remember, He’s your helper, so you need Him. We’re the ones with the assignment from the Lord; we’re the ones charged to go into all the world to make disciples of all men. And He’s been given to us to help us carry out our assignment. Therefore, trust Him.

Work and walk with Him! Depend on Him. Without Him, you can do nothing (John 15:5). He’s the strength that you need. He’s the wisdom you require. The Bible says, “…For by strength shall no man prevail” (1 Samuel 2:9); human abilities and charisma won’t work. You must do all that you do with the help and power of the Holy Spirit. He must sanctify and breathe upon your work; otherwise, there’ll be no true success. He came to help you fulfil God’s plan for you; therefore, be yielded to His leading and guidance always.

YOUR MOUTH, YOUR RULES (The Missing Link To Enjoying All The Lord Has Given You)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Proverbs 18:21 AMPC “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Know this: As a child of God, the outcome of your life is entirely within your control. If you’re waiting for God to take action on your behalf, your wait will be in vain because He has already done everything necessary for you to have an excellent, glorious, and triumphant life. The works were finished from the foundation of the world (Hebrews 4:3). Now, all you have to do is enjoy your life and partake in everything that the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ provided for you.

2 Peter 1:3 states, “As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue….” Take note of the tenses; this isn’t a promise but a concluded fact; it has already happened—you’ve been given everything you need for a transcendent life. Understanding how to make all that already belongs to you in Christ a reality in your life has been the missing link.

Every time you speak, you shape your life and future to either align with God’s divine provisions and destiny for you or be at odds with it. You are today what you said years ago. This means you’re fully responsible for your life and future; they’re in your hands. Your tongue-work determines what becomes of you in life Stop discussing your problems; instead, declare your glorious life in Christ. Speak about how you want things to be in line with the Word. Don’t wait for someone else to do it for you; by your own words, chart your course and take charge of your life. Acts 2:17 says, “And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy….”

Prophesy about your life and your future. Speak to your bones, body, skin, blood, finances, academics, etc. Don’t wait for the world or circumstances to determine your fate; use your mouth to speak words of power.

BE ABOVE THE WEATHER (Through Your Words Of Faith, Rise Beyond The Elements)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Nothing in life, including the weather and its elements, is set to your disadvantage. The different seasons—summer, winter, autumn, spring, haze, etc.—were all created for your benefit. In Genesis 8:22 TLB, the Lord said, “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.” All the weather conditions have come to stay because God made them that way. Nevertheless, He made them subject to you. It makes no difference how harsh the weather may be; you can rise above it.

Someone says, “I decided to take things easy because I’ve been ‘under the weather’”; how could you be under the weather? Be above it! If you confess you’re under the weather, the debilitating effects of the atmospheric conditions will buffet you. Some others believe that during the winter, there’s a sharp rise in the incidence of respiratory infections, such as the “colds” and the more severe “flu.” Thus, many never look forward to winter; they dread it. No! If you’re born again, you’re to rise above the weather and all its limitations and effects with your words.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that, during the winter, the weather would suddenly become hot. It just means that no matter how cold it gets, it won’t have any negative effect on you. The earlier you start professing words of faith to recondition the elements and circumstances in your favour, the better for you.

When others say, “There’s cold and flu spreading like wildfire,” your response should be, “In and around me is divine health because I dwell in a different atmosphere— the atmosphere of the Holy Ghost. I rise above the weather conditions and the health or environmental issues they bring.” Hallelujah!

WHERE WOULD YOU RATHER BE? (Have No Excuse For Missing Church Services)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Hebrews 10:25 CEV “Some people have gotten out of the habit of meeting for worship, but we must not do that. We should keep on encouraging each other, especially since you know that the day of the Lord’s coming is getting closer.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
A young man told the story of how he hadn’t attended church services for about four years due to his tight schedule at school. Moreover, there was no local assembly close to where he lived. That’s unacceptable because, today, church services are being streamed online, and anyone can always hook up to the service from where he or she is. If you’re a Christian, you’ve got to be a member of a local church, and you have no excuse for missing church services.

Remember, the Church is a place of hope, succour, and solution. It’s the place where the Word of God is taught, and the knowledge of God’s Word is what puts you over in life. In Church, your faith is built strong, and you also have the opportunity for rich fellowship with other Christians and the Holy Spirit.

If there’re peculiar situations or challenges that hinder your church attendance protractedly, there’re ways to go about them. You can participate live in church services through several online platforms that are available. When those who were in Caesar’s house couldn’t come to church, what did the Apostle Paul do? He helped them start a church in Caesar’s palace. Think about that! And in Philippians 4:22, he made reference to the saints in Caesar’s household. We do the same for those who have been incarcerated for different offences and are serving jail terms that could span many years. We set up a church right inside the prison so they’ll learn, fellowship, and grow in Christ.

There’s no excuse good enough for continually missing church services. So, like the Lord Jesus (Luke 4:16), have the culture, routine, and personal discipline to always be in church when you should.

MAKE WAR WITH PROPHECIES (Fight The Good Fight Of Faith)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Hosea 14:2 ‘Take words with you, and return to the Lord. Say to Him, “Take away all iniquity; receive us graciously, for we will offer the sacrifices of our lips.”’

▶️ LET’S TALK
Being born again, we’re involved in spiritual warfare—a fight of faith. Actually, it’s called “the good fight of faith” (1 Timothy 6:12). It’s a good fight because we always win! If a Christian loses in the good fight of faith, then he or she isn’t using the right arsenal, and part of that arsenal is prophecy. In 1 Timothy 1:18, the Apostle Paul, by the Spirit, gave an important charge to Timothy and, by extension, the rest of us, saying, “This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare.”

We make war with prophecies. You shouldn’t let the Lord’s words that have gone forth concerning your finances, health, family, or education fall to the ground. Use them in your fight of faith. Make war with them. No matter what comes against you, no matter the challenges or crises you face, declare the Word. It’s time to make war with those prophecies you wrote somewhere in your note or diary. God gave you those words for you to affirm the same in consent. If you don’t say it, it won’t work. “…For He Himself has said… so we may boldly say…” (Hebrews 13:5-6).

For example, Isaiah 43:2 says, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.” Don’t just read that and be quiet; respond. Declare, “I’m forever protected and fortified against all evil and wickedness in this world. I dwell in the safety and peaceful habitation of the Almighty, a place of glory, dominion, and everlasting joy, where I reign and rule with Christ over circumstances.” In the face of trouble or adversity, make war with words. Affirm your victory. Hallelujah!

THE MINDSET OF THE JUST (You Are Easily Persuadable Towards The Word)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Luke 1:17 “He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, “to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,” and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
The word “disobedient” here, from the original Greek rendering, means one who can’t be persuaded, one who’s headstrong and doesn’t want to go in the right direction. He or she deliberately chooses to do wrong. There’re such people today; they’re unyielding; even when they know the truth, they choose to do otherwise. They’re unwilling to submit to the Word of God, which is the wisdom of God.

On the other hand, “the wisdom of the just” refers to the mindset of the righteous. It’s a mind that’s yielded and given to the Word—easily persuaded by the Word to act in conformity to the Word. Such a person is willing to accept the Word and to make adjustments on the basis of the Word. It’s functioning in true wisdom, which is living in and by God’s Word, being influenced and propelled by the Word to the right thoughts and actions.

1 Peter 4:17 says, “For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?” The underlined portion of the preceding verse is the verb of the noun we read in Luke 1:17: “do not obey.” The Greek word is “apeitheo,” meaning the disobedient; one who’s willfully disobedient and unbelieving; the foolish. The Bible says, “The fool says in his heart, “There is no God...”” (Psalm 14:1 NIV).

Being born again, you have a different mindset: the mindset of the just. Therefore, be swayed and easily moved by the Word of God; take your actions on the basis of the Word. It doesn’t matter how something appears or whether you find it appealing to the senses or your emotions; if the Word of God says otherwise, you ought to always conform to and agree with the Word. Discipline yourself to accept and live by the Word of God only

HAVE A HEART THAT’S GLAD (Receive God’s Word Into You With Gladness)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Acts 20:32 “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Cameron loved God’s Word so much that, ever since he received Christ into his heart, his favourite place was Church. It didn’t matter to him whether his Pastor gave a short admonition or taught a long series of messages; he always received the Word gladly. This stood him out amongst others, as he was on fire after each message, sharing it with others and living out the glorious life of Christ from his spirit.

You see, God’s Word illuminates, informs, and builds your spirit, bringing you into the place that the Lord has already given you and helping you understand the life that you’re supposed to live. The Word gives you divine insight into mysteries and secrets. So, when you’re studying the Word on your own or hearing it being preached or taught, rejoice and receive it with gladness.

When you receive the Word with gladness very easily, it imparts faith and courage to your spirit. The Bible lets us know that in Christ, you’ve obtained an inheritance; that’s a legal reality. However, for you to use, enjoy, and walk in the vital reality of your inheritance in Christ, you need the Word. The Word of God—the Bible—is the book of your inheritance. As you study and meditate on it, all that rightly belongs to you in Christ isn’t only unveiled to you but becomes your vital experience.

Proverbs 11:9 says that through knowledge, the just shall be delivered. The just—the righteous—are those who have the nature and life of Christ in their spirits, those who are born again; through knowledge of God’s Word, they’re delivered, not from trouble, but into their inheritance. God’s Word is what catapults you into that large place that the Psalmist spoke of in Psalm 18:19: a place of wealth, health, and prosperity. So, get to know and possess your inheritance as you go through God’s Word.

NO ILLEGALITIES ALLOWED! (Talk The Kingdom’s Language)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Corinthians 2:12-13 AMPC “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
As Christians, we belong to a real spiritual kingdom: the kingdom of God’s love-Son. In that kingdom, we have our peculiar kingdom language. We don’t just talk; we speak the wisdom of God: “However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing” (1 Corinthians 2:6). Too many Christians don’t understand how to speak the kingdom language because they’ve never been rightly and adequately taught, and as a result, they talk fear and unbelief.

Some of them call it “reality.” “Let’s face reality,” they’d say, referring to the things that their senses can perceive. The only reality is God’s Word. Don’t say you’re broke just because there’s no money in your pocket. Instead, affirm, “I’m supernaturally supplied, and all my needs are met; I have no consciousness of lack because all things are mine!” That’s kingdom talk!

Somebody else might say, “But we have to say it as it is; if I feel stomach pain, why can’t I say I have stomach pain?” You can’t say, “I have stomach pain” because pains don’t exist in our kingdom. The things we speak are the things God has freely given to us, and sickness, disease, failure, lack, and death aren’t part of those things.

When you speak contrary to your divine nature and provisions in Christ, it’s an “illegal operation.” It’s like entering the wrong PIN code into a phone or computer system; it won’t work. Therefore, speak the wisdom of God always. Only affirm your glorious life in Christ.
