THE “TAKE OVER” MENTALITY (Think Like The Apostles Did In Bible Days)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Acts 8:14 TLB “When the apostles back in Jerusalem heard that the people of Samaria had accepted God’s message, they sent down Peter and John.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
In Acts 8:14, the apostles in Jerusalem received news that Samaria had embraced the Word of God. Promptly, they sent Peter and John to minister to them. These apostles possessed a remarkable mindset that we should emulate. To them, Samaria belonged to them because the Word of God had taken root there. Understand that not everyone in Samaria had become a Christian, but the seed of the Word had been sown, and the spiritual ground had received it. Consequently, the apostles considered Samaria taken over by the Gospel.

When Peter and John arrived in Samaria, the first thing they did was similar to what Paul did after he journeyed to Ephesus in Acts 19: they ministered to the people to receive the Holy Spirit (read Acts 8:14-17). We are to have the same mentality with the apostles. Their conviction stemmed from the words of Jesus, who likened the Kingdom of Heaven to a mustard seed that grows into a towering plant, surpassing all others. The growth is unstoppable (Luke 13:18-19).

Once the Word of God was planted in a place, be it a city, town, community, country, or nation, the apostles knew they had taken over the place; they knew what to do with the Word in such places. We need to seize cities and communities with the Gospel. Think like the apostles; adopt their mindset. Think like Paul, who, when he arrived at Ephesus, knew he was conquering not only that place but the regions beyond.

Dear Father, I am grateful for the privilege and responsibility of sharing Your Gospel with those around me and even in far-off places. Truly, Your Word reigns supreme in my city and beyond, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

THREE IN ONE (His Name, The Word, And The Spirit)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 John 5:6-7 “But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you...” “This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
As you study the Scriptures, you find that it’s about these three: the Name of Jesus, the Word, and the Holy Spirit. The apostles ministered in the Name of Jesus, with the Word of God, and by the power of the Holy Spirit. That’s why they had such extraordinary results. It’s the same today. We do all things in His Name, live in and by His Word, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Name of Jesus never fails. Doing all things in His Name means that you live your life every day in and with the consciousness of the power, glory and dominion of His Name. Some people try so hard to succeed through their own might and natural wisdom, yet true success eludes them. This is because they’re not acting on the Word; they’re not living the Word. They function from the mind— the sense-realm—which is grossly limited. Yet, true and lasting success is the result of meditation on the Word of God (Joshua 1:8).

Third is the power of the Holy Spirit. If you’ve been trying to succeed by your own power or ability, it’s time to quit the struggle and rely on the strategies of the Spirit and His wisdom to guide you. Our competences—the ability, wisdom and grace by which we function—are of the Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:5). Trust in Him. He’s the key to a life of joy, praise, endless victories and extraordinary success.

YOU COME FROM HEAVEN (You’re God’s Offspring)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 John 4:4 “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“I’m born of God and hail from heaven,” affirmed Laura. “Oh, come off it! Enough with the religious extremities,” exclaimed Martha.

“Well, the Bible makes it clear that as Jesus is, so am I,” replied Laura.

Isn’t it amazing to know you’re God’s offspring because you’re born again? You’re a divine being. You’re not an ordinary person because you have in you the same life that God has. When Jesus walked the earth, He had this consciousness. In John 6:38, He said: “For I have come down from heaven….” He affirmed His divine origin.

This is how you must think, talk, and live. Be conscious of your divine origin. You hail from God. Your true parentage is divine. Like the Lord Jesus, speak with confidence and authority in affirming who you are.

Recall what the psalmist said in Psalm 82:6, ‘I said, “You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High.”’ We’re gods because we’re born of God. Just in case you’re thinking the psalmist might have gone too far, read the words of the Master Himself in John 10:34; He reiterated the same words. He said, ‘…Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’?’ Align yourself with God’s Word, His thoughts and visions of you, and speak accordingly.

Every so often, affirm that you’re an associate of the God-kind; as Jesus is, so are you: “Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17). Let your consciousness of who you are in Christ—the consciousness of your divinity—control everything you say and do. Let it control everything about your life.

ENTHRONED WITH THE KING (Reign In Life As A King)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Corinthians 15:25 “For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Talking about the Lord Jesus, the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:24-25 tells us, “Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet.” That means He’s enthroned!

Notice that Paul didn’t say, “For he must reign after He has put all enemies under his feet,” no! Rather, he explained that He would reign TILL all enemies are under His feet. When did He start reigning? He started reigning when He sat down on the seat of the Majesty on high—at the right hand of the Father after His ascension.

Thank God, we’re seated together with Him, far above all principalities and powers. We’re enthroned with Him. He’s reigning right now through us over demons, hell and the grave. Romans 5:17 says, “For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.”

We’ve received abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness. Now, we’re in office, reigning through Christ over the world and its systems, circumstances, Satan and his demonic community. Refuse sickness, failure, defeat, and death. Reign in life as a king. Reject everything that’s not of God, and endorse only that which is consistent with His perfect will for you. You’ve been enthroned to reign. Hallelujah!

KNOW THAT YOU HAVE IT! (Live As One Who Has Eternal Life)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 John 5:13 NIV “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
In the verse we just read, the Apostle John stresses the importance of Christians “knowing” that they have eternal life. The word “know” comes from the Greek term “eido,” which means to have knowledge or awareness of something. This isn’t just about having a vague idea; it’s about understanding and being certain that you possess eternal life. Sadly, not many Christians know they have eternal life. So, some pray for it, some fast for it, and others hope to receive it. Some others even think they can only enjoy this God-life in heaven. No!

Eternal life isn’t a mere promise or a future expectation. When you were born again, eternal life was imparted to your human spirit, and at once, you were awakened to the Fatherhood of God. Eternal life is the God-life; it’s the transcendent life. It’s indomitable and uninfectable.

If someone had a tumour growing in his or her body, upon receiving eternal life, that tumour should die and dematerialise. Thank God for the teaching of His Word and the increased knowledge in the Body of Christ! Many are becoming more aware of the essence, import, and impact of this divine life in us.

When troubles come your way, face them with the confidence of knowing who you are in Christ. You live in a realm of joy, peace, and victory, where you’re more than a conqueror through Christ. Keep this awareness alive in your heart every day, knowing that the solution to every problem is found within you. Glory to God!

YOU’RE A LIFE DISPENSER (He Gave Us Life And Made Us Life-Givers)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 10:10 AMPC “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).”

▶️ LET’S TALK
When we declare that, as Christians, we are more than mere humans, some may misunderstand and label it as heresy or the ‘little god’ syndrome. However, those who doubt our unity with the Lord lack a deep understanding of why Jesus came to this world. Let’s revisit our opening verse for clarity.

Jesus didn’t come to merely save us from sin; that was a means to an end. So, what did He come to do? He came to give us life and to bring us into fellowship with God. John 5:26 says, “For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself.” Think about that: just as the Father has the fullness of life, so also Jesus Christ has the fullness of life; He’s not drawing life from the Father. Remember what Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:45 NIV: “So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit.” Jesus, the life-giving spirit, imparts the same life to us.

Therefore, just like Jesus, you’re a life-giving spirit. He gave us life and made us life-givers. Isn’t that amazing? When you show up, life is manifested—not in bits but in its fullness. No wonder Jesus charged us in Matthew 10:8, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons….” When you touch the sick and the afflicted, the life in you is transferred and transmitted to them, bringing them healing, wholeness, and perfection.

The Bible says, “For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones” (Ephesians 5:30). Have you ever contemplated the significance of this statement? It means we are the very limbs of His body. In another of his letters to the Corinthian Church, Paul said, “…Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you...” (1 Corinthians 6:19). In 1 Corinthians 12:27, the Bible says, “Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.” In other words, you’re the carrier of His divine essence. Eternal life is unveiled to others through you. Grasp the magnitude of this truth and walk in its reality.

REFUSE DISCOURAGEMENT (God’s Spirit And Word Makes The Difference)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Acts 19:20 ESV “So the word of the Lord continued to increase and prevail mightily.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Imagine you get an invite to speak at a big conference. You go through all sorts of challenges to get there: maybe it’s a long road trip through rough terrain, or maybe you brave the seas on a boat. Finally, you reach the city and are greeted by just twelve people! It’s not what you expected at all. But instead of getting discouraged, you see an opportunity. You realise these twelve are your audience, and you can make a big impact right here. That’s exactly what happened to Paul in Ephesus.

He had heard reports about this city, but upon his arrival, he found only twelve disciples there, though he expected to meet more. Paul recognised the challenge before him and also knew the solution to the issue. We can tell from his question in Acts 19:2 and the answer the twelve disciples gave him: they hadn’t received the Holy Spirit. Paul then explained to them the need to believe in Jesus Christ. Upon hearing this, they were baptised in the Name of the Lord Jesus. Afterwards, he laid his hands on them to receive the Holy Spirit and they began to speak in tongues and prophesy.

Paul knew that when they received the Holy Spirit, they’d go wild for the Gospel. Paul didn’t stop there. Learning that they had been baptised only with John’s baptism gave him clarity about their situation. He decided to do a three-month step-by-step teaching of the Word (Acts 19:8).

Paul refused to be discouraged even though his audience was relatively small. He worked with the twelve men, ministered to them, and embarked on an evangelistic endeavour in the city, reaching out to both Jews and Gentiles. The result? All of Ephesus was impacted with the Word of God (Acts 19:20)! That’s the power of the Holy Spirit and His Word! If you’ve received the Holy Spirit, go wild for the Gospel! The power of God is at work in you to preach the Word and minister life to your hearers.

BLESSED TO PRODUCE RESULTS (It’s Your Nature To Be Productive)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Genesis 1:28 ‘Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”’

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Hey Trevor, I don’t get it. Every time I’m part of something, it just falls apart, but you? You always seem to succeed. How?” Francis asked, as he was puzzled by Trevor’s consistent successes in every endeavour.

“It’s simple, Francis. I believe in God’s blessing of fruitfulness and productivity in my life, and I speak it into existence,” Trevor explained confidently.

In Genesis 1:26-28, the Bible shows us that God created man in His image and in His likeness and blessed them with the ability to have dominion over all the earth, including every living creature. “To bless” (Hebrew “barak”) is to praise or give thanks. When you bless God, you’re praising and giving Him thanks! But when you bless another or God blesses you, it means to confer some benefit or to empower.

So, what God did in Genesis 1:28 was that He empowered Adam and Eve to be fruitful and productive, to multiply, replenish, and refill the earth. In John 15:16, Jesus tells us, “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.” The word “may” carries a firm affirmation rather than mere speculation. Thus, we are called to go and bring forth fruits.

Secondly, our fruits are meant to remain and have a lasting impact. This means that He has made you efficacious. You have the ability to produce the desired results. If you were given a target, your efficacy could be trusted. There’s an ability introduced into your life to produce desired results. It’s your nature in Christ.

You can approach life with confidence, knowing that every endeavour you’re engaged in will turn into success. It’s the life God has given us—a life of purpose, power, and productivity. Embrace this truth and walk in the confidence of being chosen and appointed by God to live a productive life.

PLANNED OUT BY GOD (There’s A Divine Purpose For Your Life)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Ephesians 2:10 AMPC “For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Do you know there’s a purpose for your life? Several years ago, the Lord told me that one of the most important things for men to do is discover their purpose and fulfil it, but most never do. Therefore, they live empty lives, never realising that there is a divine plan for them.

A generic purpose for all of God’s children is that we were born for His glory; we were born to walk with God and bring Him honour. Beyond that, however, there’s a specific purpose for which you were created and placed on this earth. And it is in fulfilling that purpose that you truly bring glory and honour to God.

God doesn’t just do things; He has a purpose for everything. He has a purpose for the world, and He sure has a purpose for your life. If you haven’t discovered that specific purpose, you can today. Be bold to ask the Lord, and He’ll tell you. Sometimes, He’ll speak expressly, as He did to Paul the Apostle (read Acts 26:13–16).

Other times, He’ll guide you into it, and every day, you’ll discover more and more of His purpose for your life as you walk by faith in accordance with His Word in all things.

WHY WE GIVE (God Gave His Very Best, Will You?)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
At the end of her Sunday message, a pastor prompted the congregation to give their offerings, either online or in the collection bag. Sitting together, two friends had contrasting reactions to her words. One exclaimed, “I’m excited to give my offering today!” while the other pondered, “Do I have to give an offering every time?” Which friend reacted appropriately? Clearly, the first one.

“Why should we give?” you might wonder. We give for soul-winning and for the establishment of God’s righteousness in the earth and in the hearts of men. In 2 Corinthians 9:7-10, the Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, emphasised how giving is directly connected to righteousness.

A true giver is concerned about the spread of the Gospel to all people and the reign of God’s righteousness on earth. Therefore, do all you can, and more, to support and promote the spread of the Gospel around the world.

Also, learn to be extravagant about your giving. God showed us the perfect example: He gave His very best— His Son Jesus Christ—for the salvation of mankind, showing that the true value of a human soul is Jesus. The whole world is nothing compared to the value of a human soul. No wonder the Lord Jesus said, “…What does it benefit a person to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? For what could a person give in exchange for his soul?” (Mark 8:36-37 NASB).

Knowing this, therefore, commit yourself and your resources to soul-winning. Let the spread of the Gospel around the world become your heartbeat. Be radical in your commitment to Christ and His cause, and live for Him wholly and truly. Hallelujah!

BE KNOWN FOR UNLIMITED JOY (Be Exuberant And Full Of Joy All The Time)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
John 16:24 TPT “Until now you’ve not been bold enough to ask the Father for a single thing in my name, but now you can ask, and keep on asking him! And you can be sure that you’ll receive what you ask for, and your joy will have no limits!”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Wow! These words from the Lord reveal His heart and desire for us: He wants your joy to be unlimited and full always! That’s because being joyful is very important in the Kingdom of God. The Bible says, “A joyful, cheerful heart brings healing to both body and soul…” (Proverbs 17:22 TPT). Therefore, it makes no difference what happens around you or the situations you face; exude joy and rejoice evermore.

The beautiful part is that our joy is born of the Holy Spirit and, therefore, independent of circumstances: “…The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Romans 14:17). We’re full of joy even in the face of adversity and persecution: “…When it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties, see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can!” (James 1:2 TPT). That means there’s no more room for frustration, anger, sadness, or bitterness in your life. Let only the joy of the Lord be expressed and manifested through you.

When others get to meet you, they should immediately note your unlimited joy—joy unspeakable and full of glory. The Bible tells us about the children of Israel that their joy was heard afar off as they offered great sacrifices and rejoiced after rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem: “Also that day they offered great sacrifices and rejoiced, for God had made them rejoice with great joy; the women also and the children rejoiced. The joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off” (Nehemiah 12:43 AMPC). Their joy and rejoicing were heard far away! What do you think?

This tells us that joy is expressive. Laughter is an expression of joy. Praising God—being exultant and exuberant with praise to Him—is an expression of joy. Singing songs of praise in thanksgiving is an expression of joy. Give no place to “gloom and doom” in your life. In spite of the terrible things happening in the world today, be full of joy every day. Generate and release joy and excitement from inside you, today and always.

WHAT PATH ARE YOU ON? (Follow God’s Divine Path For Your Life)

“Where would I have been if I wasn’t born again?” Valerie thought to herself as she cried, tears of joy streaming down her cheeks.

“What’s wrong, Val?” Tobi asked her. “Did you get some bad news or something?”

She shook her head, a radiant smile spreading across her face. “Nothing’s wrong, Tobi. I’m just overwhelmed with joy, realising how blessed I am that Jesus saved me and guided me onto the right path.”

The Bible teaches that there are two paths for every person. There’s a natural path, and then there’s a divine path. The natural path is subject to causes and effects. For example, if you were born in a certain neighbourhood or attended a certain school, it would be easy to predict how you’d turn out. This is why it’s easy for Satan to toy with the natural paths or natural destinies of people.

The divine path, however, is different. It begins when you’re born again, and this path is like a mystery (John 3:8 ESV). The world can’t figure you out or predict your life because, being born again, God has made you a limitless wonder (Isaiah 8:18, Psalm 71:7). Your life is one of infinite possibilities because of His divine ability at work in you.

Choose the divine path. The divine path makes your life worth living. You’ll keep making remarkable progress on every side because you’re piloted by the Holy Spirit. While people are still wondering about your progress, you’ll hear the Spirit’s voice saying, “Look up; I’m taking you higher.” You’ll just keep pushing forward and making progress. Hallelujah!

THE THRONE OF GRACE (Collect The Grace You Want In The Throne Room)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Hebrews 4:16 NIV “Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
In the Old Testament, the Ark of God had a place on it, called the Mercy Seat, where the blood of animals was offered; it was the place of grace. Whenever the high priest came into the Most Holy Place, where the Ark of God was, he met with God, and God spoke with the high priest “…from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the Testimony…” (Exodus 25:22). Over in the New Testament, Apostle Paul wrote to the Jewish Christians to help them understand what God had done: “Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession” (Hebrews 4:14).

This means that the Lord Jesus is our High Priest today. While all the other priests ministered in the first sanctuary, the high priest alone went into the inner sanctuary. But Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” The word translated “throne” is the Greek “thronos,” and it means seat. That mercy seat in the Old Testament is now called the throne of grace, meaning that grace has now been enthroned! Hallelujah!

Romans 5:2 says we have access by faith to this grace. Our underlined portion in today’s opening verse can be read as “Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence,” meaning we don’t need an intermediary to the throne anymore. We now have bold, confident access in Christ Jesus to this “throne of grace” to obtain mercy and find grace to help in times of need!

That throne of grace is the place where grace reigns like a king! In that place or seat of grace, you don’t ask God for anything; you “obtain” what you want. The word translated “obtain” is the Greek “lambanō,” which means you come in there to collect or obtain grace!

Do you require grace for anything in your life today? Collect the grace you want; you’re already in the throne room where grace reigns, so boldly obtain the grace you need for that assignment and for your next and higher level of glory in your walk with God.

MOVED INTO HIS LIGHT (You Are Living In God’s Kingdom Of Light Now)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Colossians 1:12-13 ESV “Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Being born again, you’ve been removed from the domain of darkness and placed into the Kingdom of God’s dear Son. But it’s important for you to understand the process. It wasn’t after you became a Christian that you were transferred from the place of darkness into the place of light. No! You were born from death—from darkness— into light.

Remember, Jesus is called the first born from the dead (Revelation 1:5) because He died spiritually when our sins were laid on Him. He was cut off from God. Spiritual death isn’t just the cessation of life; it’s total separation from God (Ephesians 2:12).

Before you were a Christian, you were dead spiritually. You had to be born again! And when you were born again, you were born right into the Kingdom. You were born from the domain of darkness into the Kingdom of God. So, your first day as a Christian was in the Kingdom of Light—the Kingdom of God’s dear Son.

This is why you never have to pray that God would “deliver” you from darkness; you don’t need deliverance from Satan because you’re not in his jurisdiction. You’re not in the darkness; you’re in the light. What you need is to know the truth, for the Bible says, “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32).

For the one who seems to be experiencing anything of darkness despite being born again, the solution is simple: Receive God’s Word—His light—into you and walk accordingly; it’ll eject every satanic presence. You dwell in the Kingdom, seated with Christ, far above all principality, power, might, and dominion, and every name that is named (Ephesians 1:19–21; Ephesians 2:6). Glory be to God!

LOOK AWAY FROM YOURSELF (It’s By His Divine Ability At Work In You)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Acts 1:8 AMPC “But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you...”

▶️ LET’S TALK
2 Corinthians 3:5 AMPC says, “Not that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form personal judgments or to claim or count anything as coming from us, but our power and ability and sufficiency are from God.” Blessed be God! This means you don’t lack ability for anything.

It brings to mind what the Scripture says in Philippians 2:13 NASB, “…It is God who is at work in you, both to desire and to work for His good pleasure.” The Holy Spirit makes you willing and able to perform, to deliver at the highest level of excellence all the time. No wonder the Bible says, “But this precious treasure—this light and power that now shine within us—is held in a perishable container, that is, in our weak bodies. Everyone can see that the glorious power within must be from God and is not our own” (2 Corinthians 4:7 TLB).

It’s not your power but His divine ability that’s at work in you. Therefore, look beyond yourself. Take advantage of the person, power, grace and ministry of the Holy Spirit in your life! The Holy Spirit is your advantage. In your ministry, family, relationships with people, or academics, be conscious of His grace and power at work in you and through you.

Do all things by His mighty power. Follow His wisdom and guidance, conscious that you’re up to any task because He lives in you—walking and working in and through you. Zechariah 4:6 says, “‘…Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.” He’s filled you with supernatural ability to do things that are beyond human ability and comprehension. Hallelujah!

HEALING TO THE NATIONS (Jesus Loves The People Of The World And He Wants Them Well)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Acts 10:38 “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Some things happen by God’s choice. When they do, there’re often no human ways of explaining them. Only through the Scriptures do we discover the reason He does such things. In 2 Chronicles 9, for example, the queen of Sheba heard of Solomon’s fame and came to Jerusalem to see for herself.

When she arrived, she was stunned! She asked every question she could think of and was left amazed at Solomon’s wisdom, his responses, and the many things she saw. This prompted her to extol God’s divine love for His people: “Blessed be the Lord your God who delighted in you, setting you on His throne as king for the Lord your God; because your God loved Israel, establishing them forever, He made you king over them, to carry out justice and righteousness” (2 Chronicles 9:8 NASB). God made Solomon the king of Israel because He loved Israel. He chose a man that He loved (2 Samuel 12:24), and made him the king of a people He loved. So, Israel was His focus.

It brings to mind something the Lord told me years ago; He said the number one thing He wanted me to do was to take healing to the nations. The nations were His focus—the rendezvous of broken humanity—the sick, the weak, and all those who had become incapacitated due to sickness and disease. He loved them. His focus was on them to bring them healing and health.

WE’VE RECEIVED THE KINGDOM (Live In The Reality Of The Kingdom Now)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Luke 12:32 “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Young people, hear me. There’s a life in the kingdom that you ought to live now. Refuse to accept anything else,” read Josh from his notepad as he meditated on what his Pastor shared in service on “Life In The Kingdom.” Meditating on these words moved Josh to win souls and work miracles like he had never done before; he shared the Gospel with his whole class boldly, and those who had illnesses suddenly recovered as he laid his hands on them. His consciousness of the kingdom life caused a total 180-degree change in his Christian ministry.

Hebrews 12:28 in the Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) translation tells us something similar to what we just read in our opening verse. It says, “Therefore, since we have received an unshakeable kingdom, let us have grace, through which we may offer service that will please God, with reverence and fear.” We’ve received the kingdom, and we should live in it and express the life of the kingdom.

How can we know the true Christian life that God expects us to live today? The first thing to do is to study the Book of Acts. The epistles also give us a lot of insight. Finally, the prophetic Word of blessings to the Jews about the millennial reign of Christ shows us an amazing picture of what the life of the Kingdom is. That’s what He’s already given to us to live in and experience NOW! Anything less than these isn’t full Christianity or the life of the Kingdom.

This is the reason we’re raising and educating God’s people on the Kingdom-life and the Kingdom-way of doing things. There’s a Kingdom way to think. Now that you’re in the kingdom, you must learn to live by the principles of God’s Word. His Word is our blueprint and roadmap on how to live the ever-glorious, joyous, and transcendent life of the Kingdom.

THERE’S TREASURE DEEP WITHIN (God’s Divine Essence Is In You)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Corinthians 4:7 “…We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“I feel so worthless and empty!” screamed Lauryn. She had been contemplating suicide because she’d nursed some thoughts swirling around her head and didn’t even realise it when she blurted out those words.

“No, you’re not!” Brad replied almost immediately. “You’ve got treasure inside you, so you’re worth everything to God; don’t hurt yourself because God loves you so much and you’ve got to know it.”

There’s a treasure in you. You carry the divine essence; you’re not ordinary. Acknowledge this about you all the time. That’s how to get it working effectively in your life. The Bible says, “…The communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus” (Philemon 1:6 KJV).

Acknowledge that you’re a bearer or carrier of the divine life, a carrier of God’s divine presence, and as a result, the excellence of His power permeates through you, causing everything you do to prosper. Glory to God! The Bible says the mystery of Christianity and the glory thereof is Christ in you (Colossians 1:27).

Your life isn’t empty; there’s a treasure in you: a treasure of power, dominion, and glory. Your body may be made out of dust, but God’s glory is in your spirit, and that glory inundates and perfects your physical body.

Even now, affirm that through you, the light of God, His glory, power, and grace are revealed to your world. Make such proclamations often because the effectiveness of the Word in your life depends on your response to the Word of God. You’re a God-carrying vessel—a package of divine blessings and treasures. EVERYDAY EXCEPTIONALITY (The Christian Is Called To Glory And Excellence)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Peter 1:3 AMPC “For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Danny, I’m so proud of you! You scored all A’s this time around. What’s your secret?” Danny’s mother asked with excitement.

“Well, mum, you always told me that with the life of Christ in me, there’s nothing I couldn’t achieve. So, I studied harder, but I also kept declaring my excellence in everything I did,” Danny replied.

“That’s incredible! Congratulations, my love,” his mother exclaimed, beaming with joy.

In the latter part of the scripture above, Paul says God has called us to glory and virtue. We have a calling to a life of glory and virtue, that is, a life of excellence. Poverty and sickness have no place in this calling. Hallelujah! It’s important to know that your life of excellence isn’t a future plan or a promise to be fulfilled when we get to heaven; no! It’s a present reality, for here and now!

The Amplified Classic version helps us get a fuller grasp. It says, “For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).” There’s no room for mediocrity or mundanity in our lives. We are excellent in every way because we have been called to it.

You’re God’s own purchased, special child, bought by the blood of Jesus to set forth the wonderful deeds and showcase the virtues and perfections of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light (1 Peter 2:9 AMPC). Blessed be God. Never think less of yourself. Never underestimate your worth.

Every day you’re in this world, wherever you go, understand and be conscious that you’re born for excellence. It’s your destiny to be excellent. You have an excellent path in life. Therefore, do and manifest excellent things.

AN EMPHASIS ON EARNEST PRAYERS (Remain Fervent And Persistent In Prayer)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Acts 12:5 MSG “All the time that Peter was under heavy guard in the jailhouse, the church prayed for him most strenuously.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
The Lord Jesus emphasised the need for us to watch and pray always. In Luke 21:36 MSG, for example, He said, “Pray constantly that you will have the strength and wits to make it through everything that’s coming and end up on your feet before the Son of Man.” In Luke 18:1, He also said, “...Men always ought to pray and not lose heart.” The Apostle Paul further emphasises this in 1 Thessalonians 5:17: “Pray without ceasing.” Why is there so much emphasis on us praying?

Recall the words of Jesus, “…Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). He wants His will established in the earth as it is in heaven. He holds His people responsible for making His will come to pass in the nations. He lets us run the world with Him, enforcing His will in the nations of the world through our priestly ministry of intercession.

Luke, in Acts 12:1-5, for example, shows us the impact of the heartfelt, continued, intercessory prayer of the saints. Herod, the king, sought to oppress the Church and killed James, one of the Lord’s disciples, in order to please the Jews. Motivated by the exciting response of the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter.

Herod must have considered killing Peter, the leader of the group, as the most strategic way to destroy everything the Church stood for. However, the Church remained steadfast in prayer for Peter. As the Church prayed fervently and persistently, there was an intervention from heaven. An angel of the Lord appeared and freed Peter from his chains and guided him to safety. He then went to the house of Mary, the mother of John, where the Church had gathered in fervent prayer (Acts 12:12).

Learn to be persistent and fervent in prayer. Remember what the Bible says in James 5:16 AMPC, “…The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].” Persist in prayer until there’s a change. We have the power to change anything through our prayers. God made it so. Hallelujah!

STAY PURIFIED (Keep Yourself In The Purity Of The Spirit)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Corinthians 6:11 AMPC “And such some of you were [once]. But you were washed clean (purified by a complete atonement for sin and made free from the guilt of sin), and you were consecrated (set apart, hallowed), and you were justified [pronounced righteous, by trusting] in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the [Holy] Spirit of our God.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
In Christ Jesus, we’ve been washed, sanctified, and justified in the Name of the Lord and by His Spirit so we can serve Him in holiness and righteousness all the days of our lives. Luke 1:74-75 says, “…We, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.”

Some Christians want to manifest the glory of God in their lives, yet they don’t live right. They don’t maintain the purity of the Spirit. But Christianity is a call to righteousness. The Christ-life in you must be lived accordingly, and the Word of God is your light. You can’t live the way you choose.

The Lord Jesus in John 17:19 said, “And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.” Here, He emphasised the power of sanctification, the power of separating yourself from the wrong things, and the power of purifying your mind and your life.

There’s a way of life that’s not right for a Christian, and if you’re going to fulfil the purpose of God for your life, you must live a pure and holy life. You’re God’s vessel; you’ve been sanctified to be in fellowship with the Holy Spirit on a clean life. Don’t jeopardise that communion because of a bad attitude, behaviour, or worldly lifestyle.

Don’t live in sin, for the Bible says sin shall not have dominion over you: “Remember this: sin will not conquer you, for God already has! You are not governed by law but governed by the reign of the grace of God” (Romans 6:14 TPT). You’ve been called into liberty, to live righteously for the Lord. Yield to the authority and Lordship of the Word, and submit to the guidance of the Holy Spirit in your life. Romans 8:14 TPT says, “The mature children of God are those who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit.”

🎯 Go Deeper
2 Timothy 2:21-22; 2 Corinthians 6:14-17; Romans 6:1-2

TRUST GOD ALONE! (The Lord Won’t Steer You Wrong, So Trust His Guidance Only)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Proverbs 3:5-6 TLB “If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don’t ever trust yourself. In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Our existence transcends the ordinary thinking process, mere guesswork, and reliance on experts who sometimes let us down. History is rife with examples of disappointment across various professions and industries, underscoring a crucial truth: Success in life cannot be achieved through human wisdom alone.

It’s with this understanding that we must appreciate and depend on the guidance and leadership of the Holy Spirit. Remember Jesus said, “…I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen” (Matthew 28:20). This He makes possible through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.

Consider the words of Jesus in John 16:13: “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” Isn’t that wonderful?

The Holy Spirit is our sure and dependable guide. He will never steer you down the wrong path. With the Holy Spirit, you won’t be left stumbling in the dark, uncertain about your path or decisions in life. He illuminates the truth and reveals the future, ensuring that your hope is focused and your direction is clear.

Something absolutely remarkable is the fact that He empowers us to change the future that He reveals to us that’s not consistent with His perfect will. We have the ability to shape our own destinies. Some may find this hard to fathom, but it’s the truth revealed in the Word. Let your faith be based on God’s holy Word, and be ever-reliant and dependent on the Holy Spirit for guidance and direction in and for all things. Praise God!

HIS BLOOD WAS ACCEPTED! (The Lord Has Presented His Blood To The Father For Us)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Hebrews 9:24 TPT “For the Messiah did not enter into the earthly tabernacle made by men, which was but an echo of the true sanctuary, but he entered into heaven itself to appear before the face of God in our place.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
John 20:1-18 tells us the story of the first appearance of the risen Lord. After Jesus was crucified and buried, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb on the third day to anoint His body with spices (Read Mark 16:1-8). When she arrived at the tomb, she found that the stone covering the entrance had been rolled away. Rattled, Mary ran to tell Peter and John, two of Jesus’ disciples, that someone had taken the body of the Master.

The Bible records for us in the eleventh verse of John 20 that after Peter and John left, Mary stayed at the tomb, weeping. As she turned to leave, she saw a man standing there, whom she did not recognise (the man was Jesus). He asked her why she was crying, and she again explained that someone had taken away Jesus’ body.

At that moment, the Master called her by name, “Mary,” and she realised that it was Jesus Himself. Overjoyed, Mary turned, perhaps to hug Him, but He instructed her not to touch Him, and told her why: “…Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God’” (John 20:17).

This means that before meeting with the disciples in Galilee and before anyone could touch Him, He would have ascended to the Father as our High Priest and presented His blood. Whereas the priests of the Old Testament had to offer sacrifices year after year for a yearly atonement, Jesus did it once and obtained eternal redemption for mankind.

So, His sacrifice was in His own blood, which He went to heaven to present. His blood was accepted, as read in Hebrews 9:12: “Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.” In Matthew’s account, when He came to Galilee, the first thing He said to His disciples was “...All hail...” (Matthew 28:9 KJV). In other words, “It’s done! It has happened! I’ve presented my blood and obtained eternal redemption for mankind.” Praise God!

WORD-BASED CONFIDENCE (Be Confident In God’s Written Word)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Peter 1:3 “…His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Michael, a young man plagued by low self-esteem and confidence, felt uncertain about his future. His impoverished background and lack of close friends only compounded his doubts for a beautiful future. However, a turning point came when he encountered two powerful verses while reading his Bible: “All things are yours” (1 Corinthians 3:21) and “I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).

These words ignited something within Michael to have unwavering trust in God’s presence and provision. Meditating on God’s Word daily made his confidence soar and strengthen with each passing day. Reading today’s opening verse, it’s clear that God’s divine power, not your own ability or human wisdom, has given you all things that pertain to life and godliness. This means you’re not supposed to ever be lacking or wanting unless you choose to.

You’ve got to believe this because it’s God’s Word about you. When God says He’s done something, you don’t have to try to claim it; you simply accept it and act accordingly. His Word is all the proof you need. For example, when money is paid to your account in the bank, they probably send you a message alert that confirms that the money has been paid into your account, and you believe it. You go about living and acting as one who has that amount deposited in the bank. You even make deals and transactions on the basis that you have that money in the bank. Meanwhile, all you have is a text message or email (or deposit slip) from the bank stating that they have your money.

Now, that’s the way God wants you to act. Trust what God has written to you—His Word—more than the writings from the bank. His Word is more dependable. Let your confidence be built on the basis of His Word. Don’t place a limit on your life. You’re a child of God, and He’s brought you a life of endless resources, limitless blessings, and opportunities. Consciously and consistently walk in the light of God’s Word. There’s nothing you could ever need or desire for a godly life that’s not already yours in Christ. Hallelujah!

WE RUN TO WIN (There’s A Prize To Be Obtained In The End)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 Corinthians 9:24-25 MSG “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.” “You’ve all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You’re after one that’s gold eternally.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
What we read in our opening verse lets us know that, in Christianity, we run to win and obtain the prize. We’re likened to sportsmen: “Now every athlete who goes into training conducts himself temperately and restricts himself in all things. They do it to win a wreath that will soon wither, but we [do it to receive a crown of eternal blessedness] that cannot wither. Therefore I do not run uncertainly (without definite aim). I do not box like one beating the air and striking without an adversary” (1 Corinthians 9:25–26 AMPC).

The Bible shows you what to do to be at the top of your game: become temperate in all things; exercise selfcontrol. Like an athlete, there’re things you should do and there’re things you shouldn’t, just so you can keep in form. Those athletes do it to obtain a corruptible crown, but we do ours for an incorruptible crown. Hallelujah.

Notice what He says in the twenty-seventh verse: “But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified” (1 Corinthians 9:27). He instructs us to do everything to win, but according to the rules, so you’re not disqualified. Don’t run to miss the prize; run to win it!

And as you run your race, and fulfil your ministry in the Gospel, lay aside every weight (Hebrews 12:1-2). Don’t let sin be an encumbrance in your life. Refuse to allow anything to take your focus off the Master. Remain steadfast, unmovable, and always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as you know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).

ONLY “YES” AND “AMEN” (His Promises Are Fulfilled In Christ Jesus)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
2 Corinthians 1:20 NIV “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Jeffrey, I never promised you that,” Susie retorted when her brother accused her of not keeping her word.

“But you did; I have the receipts. You said you’d be here by 4 p.m., and now it’s 4:10 p.m.,” Jeffrey claimed.

Upon listening to the recorded message she had left Jeffrey earlier, promising that she’d be with him before 4 p.m., Susie soon realised her mistake and promptly apologised for making them late for the event.

Unlike humans, God never makes a promise until He has fulfilled it. Every promise was fulfilled in Christ: “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us” (2 Corinthians 1:20). So, if God tells you something that sounds like a promise, He has already fulfilled that promise.

Let me explain it to you this way: imagine He puts ten thousand dollars in your account, then He calls you on the phone and says, “Son, or daughter, I will give you ten thousand dollars if you’d do XYZ.” Now, He only made that promise because He already put the money in your account. This is simple to understand when you realise that God doesn’t have a future; He lives in eternity.

Psalm 90:2 says, “Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.” The future for man is history with God. Now you can better understand Paul’s beautiful conclusion in Hebrews 4:3 that all “…the works were finished from the foundation of the world.”

In other words, before the earth was created, God had completed His work. Before you ever came on the scene, before your parents ever dreamed of coming together, God had known you and concluded everything about you. Hallelujah!

NOTHING “SICKABLE” IN YOU (You Have A Life Superior To Sickness)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Isaiah 33:24 MSG ‘No one in Zion will say, “I’m sick.” Best of all, they’ll all live guilt-free.’

▶️ LET’S TALK
“Do you know you can live above sickness every day of your life?” Christabel asked Shannon.

“How can you say such a thing? Everyone gets sick every once in a while,” replied Shannon.

“Well, the Bible makes it clear that when you’re born again, you receive the divine life and nature of God into you, which makes you impregnable to sickness. There’s nothing ‘sickable’ in the Christian!” Christabel remarked.

Just like Shannon, there’re those who strongly believe that sickness is for everybody, but it’s not true. God doesn’t get any glory out of us being sick. We belong in His Kingdom, and the Scripture shows us that divine health is one of our Kingdom rights; it’s one of the blessings we have in Christ.

Read again the inspiring description of Zion by Isaiah in our opening verse! He calls it a beautiful place where the inhabitants have no reason to say, “I am sick,” because there’s no sickness in Zion! Hallelujah! Being born again means you’re an inhabitant of this glorious land of health and abundance.

In Colossians 1:13, it’s called the Kingdom of God’s dear Son. You’ve been translated into that Kingdom, and all the blessings of the Kingdom are yours. So, become Kingdom conscious; live in the blessings of the Kingdom of God, in health and in strength.

If sickness tries to attack your body, remember that you’re in the Kingdom of God, where His will is operational and in force. Take charge and rule over your body with the Word of God. Refuse to yield your body to sickness, disease, or infirmity!

God gave you a life that’s superior to sickness, and now you can serve and live for Him. You can manifest His glory and His grace and impact your world with the message of Christ’s salvation. Hallelujah!

IT’S RIGHTEOUS TO LOVE (Love—The Righteousness Of God At Work)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
1 John 4:8-9 “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
One sunny afternoon, Liam asked Sarah about her secret to being so full of love for people, even those who were mean to her. He was intrigued by her unwavering kindness towards everyone, including the school bullies. Sarah explained that her understanding of God’s righteousness had transformed her approach to life, emphasising that one cannot truly love without grasping God’s righteousness.

Our opening verse of scripture says, “God is love” (1 John 4:8). He is love because it is righteous to love. The love of God is His righteousness at work. Why does God love? It’s because of His righteousness. If there’s no object of love, love can’t be expressed. Moreover, you can only express love to a being that can receive and reciprocate love. So, the righteousness of God causes the nature of love to emanate from Him and be expressed by Him.

Love that is inactive is not love. Wherever the righteousness of God is manifested, the love of God is experienced. Therefore, when you see a brother or a sister who’s not walking in love, it’s because they don’t understand the righteousness of God. And because they don’t understand it, they’re not living in it. Their challenge with love begins with their very relationship with God, not even with the person or
! people they have trouble with.

The more you know the Lord, the more you understand His righteousness, and the more His love is reflected back to you and from you. Remember what He did: In Christ Jesus, He made you the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21); you’re the expression of His righteousness. If that’s true, how can you not walk in love?

God is love; in other words, that’s who He is; that’s His nature. The same is true of righteousness: God is righteous; that’s His nature. You haven’t matured in Christ until you’re really walking in love, and you will not walk in love until you understand and live in the righteousness of God.
