The Iranians are finally beginning to deal the Israelis some solid damage. I’m seeing less and less work of their anti-air. No ammo? lol
All of these impacts occurred moments ago.
The problem with this is that Israel will just strike the parliament building. /channel/weebunionwar/27267

Block one of the world’s most vital chokepoints and you instantly disrupt 20% of global oil supply.
Now combine that with the Houthis blockading the Gulf of Aden, and you’ve essentially weaponised global trade.
And here’s why it matters:
1️⃣ It creates legal grey zones.
Unlike a strike on a military base, closing Hormuz can be framed as a defensive or retaliatory move. Under international law, that makes it far harder for the West to justify a direct military response without looking like the aggressor.
2️⃣ It triggers economic chaos.
Global shipping re-routes, insurance premiums explode, and oil prices skyrocket. And if there’s one thing the US fears more than escalation, it’s economic uncertainty.
3️⃣ It shifts pressure to Israel.
Markets crashing? Oil surging? Suddenly, Washington’s priority isn’t supporting Israeli airstrikes, it’s stopping them. Iran wouldn’t need to “win” militarily. Just apply enough economic pressure that the West pulls Israel back.
This isn’t meant to exhaustive, just a thought exercise.

🇮🇱🇮🇷Israel struck a neighborhood in Tehran where Supreme Leader Khamenei's home and the Iranian presidential complex are located, the New York Times reports.
There was also information that the building of the General Staff of the Iranian army was hit, but the authorities denied it, stating “the successful interception of Israeli missiles.”

Ok, the Iranian retaliation was more than 1/10 of the damage that Israel caused. Not close to being 1-1, but it’s respectable.
Another worthy development is that Iranian anti-air systems have knocked off the recent Israeli attack, having recovered from a surprise attack from yesterday.
Now they’re launching another wave of ballistic missiles into Israel.
The only way for Iran to “win” is to acquire nuclear weapons.
For Israel is to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons (tactical victory) and cause a regime change (strategic victory).
Now that Iran's retaliation has run its course, several conclusions can be drawn. As I anticipated, the scale of their response amounted to less than a tenth of the damage inflicted by Israel. Notably, they did manage to down at least one aircraft—an outcome I had also foreseen.
Should a protracted conflict with Iran unfold, I expect Israel will settle for nothing short of the complete dismantling of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure and/or regime change.
Moving forward, Israel’s strategy will likely focus on crippling Iran’s economic and civilian infrastructure, as well as taking direct action against the country's leadership.
If confirmed, today Iran has knocked out as many F16s and F35s as Russia has in the entire Ukraine war (3). One Israeli pilot is reportedly POW.

1. Before the war, Iran agreed to halt the development of its nuclear missile program in exchange for being permitted to pursue a civilian nuclear program. The Israelis have launched their war in the middle of negotiations and murdered Iranian key negotiators in an attempt to nullify diplomacy. The Iranians were willing to make major concessions.
2. Before the war, Ukraine continued its efforts to join NATO, while NATO refused to formally rule out the possibility of Ukrainian membership. The Russians tried to this solve the issue diplomatically for over a year before launching a full scale invasion when the negotiations were dead. Neither West nor Ukraine were willing to make any concessions.
