Two wrong extremes on the issue of immigration, both of which are similar in mentality to the Jewish supremacist mentality that fuels Zionism:

1) "Muslims are one Ummah so there should be no respect for borders or the uniqueness of various nations or tribes."

This is exactly like the Jewish-Zionist mentality of thinking they can just waltz into someone else's land and squat on it, without any respect or consideration for the rights of the people who have been living there for thousands of years.

Yes, Islam promotes brotherhood, but it also promotes respect. Additionally, Allah says in the Qur'an that he made us into different nations and tribes with different colors and tongues as one of His signs. To erase those signs by sticking the whole world into a blender is not a good thing — the world is more beautiful when we have distinct cultures (architecture, food, etc.). Additionally, believers are supposed to respect the host of the house of whom they are guests in. That is on a micro level, now imagine on the macro level of being the guest of an entire country. It goes both ways too, the host should respect the guest (which the current Pahlavi-era laws on immigration do not do), but the guest shouldn't be so obnoxious and disrespectful and act like the house is theirs.

They misinterpret Imam Khomeini's words and become the Muslim version of Zionists with it. Brotherhood in Islam doesn't mean that nations allow an unregulated flood of foreigners to come in. There should be regulations, for both national security and demographic preservation. However, there should be equality under the basic common law so that foreigners are not treated like second-class citizens and have to deal with needless inconveniences that prevent them from having a normal life where they can focus on contributing to society instead of dealing with head-spinning bureaucracy and other burdens which waste time and energy for zero national security purposes.

2) "Iran only for Iranians" / "naturalize Afghans instead of random westerners"

This is another form of being spiritually Jewish, which is the ethno-supremacy side. These same hypocrites will cry "racism" when the US or EU doesn't grant them and their entire extended family instant green cards to the west (plus full welfare benefits!). They gladly participate in the CIA's Brain Drain program by going to be cogs in the machine of some of the most evil corporations in the world, especially tech companies owned by various Epstein clientele like Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, yet they get angry if Iran were to also bring in a small amount of select foreign Shias to build up the country's own power and prestige.

While Afghan refugees should be treated with dignity and respect (as the Leader commands), their case is totally separate due to unique circumstances. When refugee populations exist in large numbers, generally they want to go home after a period of time, if the situation in their country improves. Naturalizing them would prevent them from going back and building up their own countries. Many of them are not Shia, so it would throw off the demographics needed to uphold a Shia-leaning Islamic Republic, as they would have full voting rights.

If people see another Muslim believer as "random" — and thus "inferior" — because they are a western convert, such as Mahmoud Abul Rauf (who isn't random in any way), then this is no different than the Jewish mentality of "chosen" vs. "goyim." Seniority in Islam is not based on ethnicity or time spent with a nametag — it is based on taqwa (godwariness) and good deeds. On the day of Ashura, there was a man who recently converted from Christianity to Islam, by the name of Wahab, who was on the side of Imam Hussain (a), while those who were nominally "Muslim" their whole lives were with Yazid, including Shimr (the son of the Jewess). Converts are not "goyim" to treat unequal.

Perhaps someone like Mahmoud would contribute greatly to Iranian society, unlike these Jewish-minded racists who contribute nothing but brainrot with their defeatist mentality.

Mahmoud Abdul Rauf can specifically contribute to the soft power of Iran's athletic diplomacy and increasing the importance of fitness in a society overrun by copying the American culture of junk food and lack of exercise (a culture now recently canceled by current US Health Secretary RFK Jr).

For example, the Leader says the Iranian sport of zoorkhaneh should become global. If his command was followed, the soft power that goes along with athletic diplomacy would give Iran huge global impact, just like Japan with karate, China with Kung Fu, and Russia/Caucuses with wrestling/sambo/MMA. Someone like Mahmoud could take that global, but narrow-minded people with inferiority complexes instead scoff at foreigners who do zoorkhaneh, asking the self-sabotaging question "how are you more Iranian than us?" Oyama Sensei, the founder of Japanese Kyokushin Karate, never asked "how are you more Japanese than me?" when foreigners began to join the sport and study under him. Kyokushin is international and gives Japan immense soft power through athletic diplomacy, while zoorkhaneh is still unfortunately a niche sport bound to this region. The difference between a visionary and those stuck in their self-sabotaging defeatist mentalities.

Iran should welcome in a small amount of high-quality Shias who truly believe in the hidden potential of this religion and this country, who would be worth more than a thousand defeatist-minded people with inferiority complexes who hold this religion and this country back with their backwards mindsets. A handful of high-quality foreigner Shias would not upset the demographic balance — rather they would be a national asset to build up its soft power, much like what the US does with brain drain. They would also be subject to security screenings to weed out infiltrators.

The Islamic movement and the Iranian nation would benefit greatly from the social contributions of those Shias who embody the hadith from Imam Sadiq (a): "Be an adornment for us [amongst people] and not a disgrace to us."

🇺🇸 🇮🇷 Former NBA top athlete Mahmoud Abdul Rauf appears on Iranian TV show about the Holy Qur'an, appeals for Iranian citizenship

Abdul Rauf was one of the top basketball players of the nation during his time, yet because he understood that a man of God cannot bow to an arrogant devil like the US empire, he refused to stand for the national anthem. He was suspended from NBA after pressure from its CEOs, many of whom were Jewish-Americans (and made sure to drive that point home when speaking to Mahmoud). He returned, but they didn't let him play as much, cutting his career during the prime of his performance.

Mahmoud was permanently removed from the NBA after a post-9/11 interview with Jewish-Zionist sports commentator Bernard Goldberg, where Goldberg tried a "gotcha" question about Bin Laden, to which Mahmoud replied by questioning the official story, including reference to "israeli" agents arrested on the day of the attacks.

Mahmoud also stated his wish to become an Iranian citizen and live in Iran.

Iran should welcome people like him as citizens.

Standard security screenings plus quotas/limitations (to insure Iranian natives remain as the vast majority demographic) are simple measures to create a balanced immigration policy.

If the US has brain drain, why can't Iran invite a small amount of high-value Shias (including some political refugees) to build up this country? In total, with fair but firm quotas, these high-value naturalized citizens would be less than 1% of the population - not a threat to demographics at all.

The problem is the current immigration policy has been the same since the Pahlavi era and is totally irrational and contradictory, even when it comes to national security, because a foreign woman who marries an Iranian gets instant citizenship even if she is a secret spy, but a foreign man who marries an Iranian woman cannot get citizenship even if he were to pass all scrutiny, security checks, etc.

No one should get instant citizenship, instead it should be merit-based, and someone like Mahmoud Abdul Rauf should be welcomed so that his value as a human being can be appreciated unlike in the US where his career was canceled while he was the nation's top athlete, all because he stood for the truth.

Unfortunately the Pahlavi-era law treats foreigners like second-class citizens in a two-tiered system. It's not about having special privileges - for example, foreigners can pay more for train tickets because they don't pay taxes and shouldn't get access to some subsidized prices - but even having a normal life free of useless burdens and obstacles is out of reach for foreigners.

Naturally, the native peoples should have some special laws that grant them certain favors, but not at the expense of the humiliation of others who can't even live a normal life free of needless inconveniences related to simple things like not being able to pay their rent using mobile banking, not being able to get a driver license even though they've been driving for over a decade (and safer driver than most people on the road), and their children from their Iranian wife not getting their family name instead of the wife's family name (needless humiliation of the man's leadership role in the family all based on his race and ethnicity).

While Afghani refugees should be treated with dignity and respect, they are a separate file and of course they shouldn't be nationalized, with the exception of Fatimiyoun veterans who cannot go back, and other exceptional cases. Unfortunately, the immigration policy is a one-size-fits-all, where Mahmoud Abdul Rauf would get treated by the same standards as Afghan refugees despite the circumstances being much different.

Unless a new immigration law is established that balances Islamic brotherhood with national security and demographic preservation, Mahmoud will need full citizenship to be able to positively contribute to society and live a normal life free of pointless inconveniences.
