🇮🇷🛢❌🇺🇸🇮🇱 - WSJ reported that Iran has begun diverting its oil flow to the smaller export terminal Jask following the US attacks and further threats on Kharg island.
The Jask terminal (Bandar-e Jask) is situated in shallower water just east of the Hormuz and has a lower capacity of 1 million barrels per day, making it less suitable for loading large crude carriers. It is, however, vastly more defensible than Kharg island against a potential amphibious assault.
Iran currently exports 2 million barrels of crude per day.

🇪🇺🌾🇷🇺 The EU will have to resume buying Russian fertilizer or be content with lower crop yields this harvest.
As of December 2023, the EU's fertilizer plants were either closing down or running at low capacity due to the high energy costs.
While food shortages in the EU are unlikely to occur, food shortages are a real possibility in North Africa and much of the Middle East as the EU is a significant exporter of grains and meat to these regions.

🇺🇸 Some insiders believe Trump may be using his defence secretary Pete Hegseth as a political “human shield” during the Iran war.
Hegseth has taken the most aggressive public stance—appearing in interviews, boasting about crushing the enemy, and saying the war is “just beginning.”
Meanwhile, Trump has sometimes struck a more moderate or contradictory tone, suggesting the conflict could end soon.
Former officials say this contrast could be intentional: if the war becomes unpopular or goes badly, Hegseth would absorb the criticism, protecting Trump politically.

🇺🇸⚔️🇮🇷 US president, Donald Trump, announced that the USAF bombed “Iran’s crown jewel” Kharg Island but that the oil infrastructure on the island was not targeted.
📝: Considering that Iran is the only country exporting oil to East Asia through the Hormuz Strait currently, bombing the oil infrastructure on Kharg Island would strain the physical supply of oil even further and worsen the fuel shortages occurring in East and Southeast Asia.
This kind of attack would be hard for the traders on the oil futures market to ignore and it will be priced accordingly.

🇺🇸🇻🇪 US Authorizes Venezuela to Sell Fertilizers as War Crimps Supply
The Trump administration authorized Venezuela to sell fertilizers and other petrochemicals to US companies, further loosening sanctions just as the Iran war tightens global supplies of critical crop nutrients.
The new measure, disclosed Friday in Treasury Department documents, expands a US effort to gradually reintegrate Venezuela into the global energy market. The White House aims to stimulate the South American nation’s economy after US forces captured President Nicolás Maduro in January.
The move comes as US farmers rush to secure fertilizers in the peak spring planting season, especially ammonia and urea that Venezuela once exported in abundance. The escalating conflict in the Middle East is disrupting supplies that normally flow through the Strait of Hormuz. New Orleans prices for urea, which is widely applied to US corn fields, are up 28% since the war on Iran started through Friday, according to Bloomberg Green Markets. The US imports over a third of its urea from the Middle East, according to The Fertilizer Institute.
By authorizing the sale of Venezuelan fertilizers to US companies, the Trump administration is sending a supply signal to an industry that impacts food prices at a time of inflationary pressures caused by the war-driven oil price spike. The license still requires companies to seek a separate authorization from Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control.
In addition to the fertilizer measure, the Treasury Department issued a license allowing work on Venezuela’s power grid, a crucial step toward revitalizing the oil sector and other industries while improving the lives of people across the country who deal with persistent outages.
By reviving Venezuela’s fertilizers industry, the Trump administration could seek to redirect supply mainly into the US market, partially offsetting disruptions caused by the US and Israeli war on Iran. Moreover, the measure would reduce US reliance on Russian fertilizers, which are exempt from US tariffs and sanctions.
Venezuela exported nearly 400,000 metric tons of urea to Brazil in 2025, according to UN Comtrade data. Smaller volumes also went to Colombia and Chile in recent years. The volumes pale in comparison to the country’s nameplate annual production capacity of 2.7 million metric tons of ammonia and 3.3 million metric tons of urea, according to Pequiven figures. Most of the capacity is concentrated at the Jose complex, known as Fertinitro.

🇺🇸⚔️🇮🇷📝 Some OSINT accounts suggest that the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) being redeployed from Butler Marine Base, Okinawa, to the Middle East, will be used to conquer Kharg Island and strangle Iran's oil industry.. but can they?
Fortunately for American war planners, a similar operation to what they intend to do on Kharg Island happened in the early days of the Russo-Ukrainian War when Russia conquered Snake Island, off the coast of Ukraine and Romania's Danube Delta.
Both Kharg and Snake Island are roughly 22 miles from their country's respective coastlines and can be struck from the shore by heavy artillery, not to mention, drones.
Russian troops arrived by helicopter on Snake Island on February 24th 2022 and took the Ukrainian garrison prisoner. The plan was to strangle Ukraine's biggest port, Odessa, and prevent any ships from coming or leaving.
Due to the importance of Odessa and the massive amounts of grains which were being exported through the port, Ukraine bombed the Russian garrison on Snake Island relentlessly destroying all standing structures on the island and by the end of June 2022, Russia would abandon the island which Ukraine would reoccupy and Russia would afterwards never attempt to invade again.
If the U.S. attempts to seize Kharg island and somehow does not destroy the oil infrastructure on it, Iran most certainly will bomb that infrastructure in order to cause as much economic pain to the U.S. as possible, besides targeting the American garrison stationed on it.

Therefore, the second condition is the U.S. withdrawal from the Persian Gulf.

🇮🇷⚔️🇺🇸 Iran may have avenged IRGC general, Qassem Soleimani, a mere three weeks after his assassination.
This image and the one above are the only publicly known images of Michael D'Andrea, who was also known as "Ayatollah Mike" and "The Undertaker." As the director of the Counterterrorism Center at the CIA, he was the father of the drone strike as we know it today.
There is no American (or Western) analogue to Soleimani, and it isn't possible for the average westerner to understand his cultural importance to Iranians. D'Andrea was, however, "our" Soleimani in terms of covert operations in the Middle East.
"If he was a combatant commander, he would have been sitting in the gallery for the State of the Union, he would have had all the accolades, and then some, that David Petraeus ever had," said one former senior CIA official. "He ran that war."
D'Andrea was an enigmatic figure, even within the CIA. He converted to Islam to marry his wife, who he met overseas. He was a soft spoken but obstinate chainsmoker with a Mountain Dew habit, who spent all day on his elliptical machine in his dimly lit office.
He helped run the CIA's torture program, and oversaw drone assassinations in Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen, and Pakistan. He ran afoul of CIA Direction John Brennan, and was reassigned to the CIA's Iran Mission Center after a period of relative inactivity.
Under the Trump administration and the influence of John Bolton, the CIA ratcheted up tensions with Iran. The escalation and counter escalations culminated with a CIA drone strike which killed Soleimani in Iraq in January of 2020. D'Andrea allegedly oversaw the mission.
To the mainstream, this is where this series of escalations ended. But others have connected the killing of Soleimani to another, much less well known event: the crash of a USAF E-11A in Afghanistan three weeks later.
This plane had once been used as a Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN) by the US Air Force. It went down 130mi southwest of Kabul, over an area controlled by the Taliban. Officially, only two USAF pilots were onboard at the time.
How does this connect to D'Andrea? Both Iranian and Russian media claimed he was on that plane. The Taliban claimed they had shot it down. The CIA, following protocol, refused to comment. The provincial head for the Red Cross and Red Crescent said 5 people had been killed.
Given the conflicting reports, the easiest way to solve this would have been for D'Andrea to make a public statement. His identity had been revealed by the US media in 2015, though not without controversy. The possibility he could be assassinated by the Iranians was brought up.
But no statement was given, and a man who spent most of his life as a ghost remained one. He only appeared in the news again a year and a half later, when CIA sources claimed he had been "forced out," and had retired.
