📝Camp Buering Under Fire📝
IRGC and affiliated sources have repeatedly claimed strikes on American facilities in Kuwait, primarily targeting Ali al-Salem and Arifjan bases, but Buering appeared in reports less frequently. The US also didn't emphasize it, although as it turns out, the base sustained significant damage.
➡️The desert facility was successfully struck in multiple waves using both drones and missiles. On the northern part of the base, strikes hit vehicle parking areas and a refueling station. Residential modules near it were damaged.
➡️Directly at the runway, hangars for drones became targets, some of which were built relatively recently. Ammunition depots were also hit, but they were either empty or the drones failed to detonate upon impact.
❗️Camp Buering is located just over 30 kilometers from the Iraqi border. Therefore, it comes under fire not only from Iranian ballistic missiles but also from less powerful drones of Iraqi resistance groups.
🔻What is this base and why is it needed?
▪️Camp Buering was established as part of the 2003 Iraqi campaign and served as a transit hub for US Armed Forces to redeploy to Iraq and Syria. By this year, the facility remained a logistics hub and training camp.
▪️Troop rotations, equipment, and weapons passed through it, and personnel acclimatization took place there. Buering was often called a critically important logistics center. Despite the abundance of landing areas, the camp was not a helicopter base; it only served for cargo transfers.
The Treasury Secretary, Bessent, was yanked from a live interview after being told, "The President wants you right away."
