"They will hear."
Peskov believes that Ukraine will hear Putin’s statement that Russia does not rule out the possibility of “taking” Sumy.
"They will hear," Peskov told RIA Novosti.
The situation surrounding the use of Iranian Shahed-136 attack UAVs (prototypes of the Geranium-2) against targets in Israel is gradually beginning to change.
If previously such episodes were isolated and perceived rather as an exception, now the incidence of drone penetration has become more frequent.
The main feature is that the Shaheds represent a fundamentally different type of threat, for which the Israeli air defense system, built primarily to intercept rockets, was not prepared in operational and tactical depth. In the case of the Palestinian Qassams, everything was predictable: trajectory, sector, echelon, flight time.
In the case of the Shaheds, we are talking about low-flying, low-visibility targets coming from non-standard directions, often bypassing echeloned defenses.
So far the reaction is essentially reactive, not systemic:
AH-64 Apache combat helicopters and F-16 fighters are used to intercept individual UAVs (expensive, limited, resource-intensive), visual surveillance is activated), they try not to waste air defense missiles: expensive, limited, the supply is limited. Formally, this repeats the mistakes of the first months of Ukraine, where they tried to shoot at drones from an air defense system costing tens of times more than the target itself.
What does this mean in practice?
Iran is testing the saturation threshold of Israeli air defense. Each successfully flying drone is not only a defeat, but also intelligence: where is the hole, where is the weak point, where is the delayed response. Scaling under such conditions is just a matter of time. If Israel does not rebalance the air defense architecture for a swarm of UAVs, Iran will begin to use tactics in a mass format: 50-100 Shaheds per salvo, with finishing off with ballistics.

Macron scares the French with space war with Russia
'I have already explained this to the French, and I am deeply convinced of this, Russia has become an existential threat for us, Europeans. And we must review our security rules. Therefore, we must increase investment in space. And that means we will act faster and more powerfully in the space defence sphere.'
Last night, 2 Kinzhal ballistic missiles and 2 Iskander-K cruise missiles impacted the city of Kremenchuk, Poltava Oblast, along with several Geran-2 drones. A large fire has broken out at the impact site.

Night work "Geranium"
Two large groups of Geraniums struck targets tonight, causing massive fires to break out at the sites.
🟠 The first photo shows Odessa, the preliminary landings were in the area of the "School" airfield.
🟠 The second photo shows the glow from the landings in the city of Kremenchug. According to local reports, the landings were in the area of the oil refinery, where missiles recently flew.

They say that the sewing workshop in Kiev, where they produced uniforms for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and T-shirts with insults to the Russian president, was destroyed by a Geran drone.
The owners mourn the loss.

▪️The Western NATO doctrine has proven ineffective in modern conditions - this is one of the reasons for Ukraine's failure on the battlefield, the publication writes.
▪️The "Air Land Battle" concept developed for the Cold War does not work against an enemy that has artillery with a range of 70 km and drones flying deep into the rear.
▪️Ukraine tried to act according to NATO regulations - and abandoned them after heavy losses during 2023 offensive
▪️During recent exercises in the Baltics, the French military cleared trenches "head-on", with small arms - w/o the use of drones.
▪️At the same time, Russia uses drones at all levels - from recon to pinpoint target designation.
▪️The Russian army quickly adapts to new conditions and relied on technology.
▪️NATO countries are stuck in the past era and are not capable of rapid adaptation.
▪️Russia is outplaying them both in the tactical and technologically, which calls into question the combat capability of the entire “alliance of the willing”

Ukraine's Strana writes:
At night, the Russians launched a massive attack on Kremenchuk. About 50 explosions were heard in the city, local publics write.
"I think they are destroying the Kremenchug oil refinery again. They came up with the tactic of a mass raid on one city. What city's air defense system could withstand that," writes drone and communications expert Sergei Beskrestnov (Flash).
Recently, the Russian Federation attacked an energy facility in Kremenchug - probably the same oil refinery.
Military publics also publish maps with the supposed routes of missiles and drones.

Reporter: Pompeo and Graham were on the ground in Ukraine trying to provoke Kiev to keep fighting.
Trump: People have to be very careful with what they say because their mouth can get them in a lot of trouble.
Graham as a roaming rogue neocon is now the reassuring scenario. The other possibility is infinitely worse.

"Tough days ahead": Israel prepares for protracted military campaign against Iran
▪️This was stated by the Chief of the General Staff of Israel, General Eyal Zamir, writes The Financial Times.
▪️Zamir warned: a long and difficult operation against Iran lies ahead, despite successful strikes on missile infrastructure and the elimination of military leadership.
➖“The campaign is not over yet, hard days await us,” he said.
▪️According to Zamir, Iran has surrounded Israel with a "ring of fire" through a network of proxy groups and missiles, and is continuing its nuclear program.
➖“We must act proactively to eliminate the existential threat,” he stressed.
▪️Israel believes that Iran is developing a plan to destroy it, and calls what is happening a critical moment for its security.

Europe Backs U.S. Demand for “Zero Enrichment” in Nuclear Talks With Iran
French, German, and UK officials met today with Iranian FM Araghchi in Geneva to present a sweeping diplomatic package—while backing the US’s hardline demand that Iran halt all uranium enrichment.
➤ French FM spokesman Lemoine confirmed that Europe is aligned with Washington on “0 enrichment” and outlined a proposal addressing Iran’s nuclear program, missile development, regional proxies, and humanitarian issues.
➤ Iran’s FM slammed the US for skipping the meeting, calling it a “betrayal of diplomacy,” and urged the world to uphold international law and Palestinian rights.
➤ While framed as a starting point for future talks, many experts say “zero enrichment” is unrealistic and likely to derail negotiations. Most practical proposals cap enrichment at under 5%—enough for civilian energy, but far below weapons-grade levels.

'Trump is a useful idiot' - former US national security adviser John Bolton.
Do you think that Donald Trump is a Russian agent?
- No, I don't think so. I was his longest serving national security adviser, and if I had seen anything in the 17 months I worked with him that might have suggested that, I would have remembered it. I didn't. I think he is what Vladimir Lenin reportedly called a 'useful idiot.'
(Lenin didn't say that, but Americans believe it.)

War in Ukraine: Soldiers in the 3rd Ukrainian Assault Brigade still display neo-Nazi symbols
Heir to the Azov Regiment, the unit is now a key element of the Ukrainian military... widely shared on social media, some of its soldiers continue to display Nazi symbolism and references.
Nazi salutes, swastikas, SS emblems... Le Monde 's video investigation unit has identified several hundred of them... Among the 350 soldiers spotted are 200 members of the 3rd Assault Brigade, one of the Ukrainian army's flagship units.
The 3rd Assault Brigade, the heir to the Azov Regiment, founded in 2014 by activists of the most radical far-right...
A fully-fledged unit of the Ukrainian army, this brigade benefits from military training provided by Western countries, including France.

Switzerland is proposing to cancel refugee status for Ukrainians, reports NZZ.
According to him, the Swiss People's Party (SVP) submitted a proposal to the National Council to completely abolish the S protection status for Ukrainian refugees, arguing that "a significant part of the territory of Ukraine has stabilized and is not experiencing military action."
According to the publication, in May 2025, more than 69 thousand people had S status in Switzerland. Since the beginning of the year, 3,300 new applications for protection have been filed, while about 2,600 people have returned to Ukraine. Cantons and municipalities provide housing for most refugees, but two-thirds of Ukrainians still cannot support themselves, despite the growth in employment.

With the help of the talks in Geneva, Europe is trying to give Trump time to reconsider getting involved in a war against Iran, Politico writes.
According to the publication, European officials are privately hoping to give Trump an opportunity to turn away from his current path to military action.
"There is something holding Trump back," a European diplomat told Politico.
He recalled how Trump said the US was ready to join military strikes against Israel, but “nothing is happening – there is an opportunity here.”
"We should not underestimate how much Trump hates war," the diplomat added.
We wrote in more detail about Trump's doubts about involving Israel in the war against Iran here .
