The US has deployed five missile destroyers with missile defence in the Mediterranean Sea.
According to a USNI News source, two destroyers, USS Paul Ignatius and USS Oscar Austin, based at Naval Base Rota in Spain, entered the Mediterranean Sea, joining three other ships - USS Arleigh Burke, USS Thomas Hudner and USS The Sullivans. It is noted that all five destroyers are capable of intercepting ballistic missiles.
In addition, two more US guided missile destroyers, USS Forrest Sherman and USS Truxtun, are currently operating in the Red Sea, USNI News reports.
The US Navy earlier said Washington was sending a strike group led by the aircraft carrier USS Gerald Ford to Europe, which will leave a US port on Tuesday, June 24.

▪️ These rumors coincided with the statement of President Zelensky, who today confirmed that personnel changes are being prepared - both in the corps of ambassadors and within the country. However, he denied information about the possible resignation of Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, rumors about which had previously been actively circulating in Ukrainian and Western media.

According to CNN, Washington's statements about a "two-week window" before a possible operation against Iran turned out to be an element of informational camouflage. In fact, according to the TV channel, US President Donald Trump has already approved the decision to strike, and talk about the timing is part of a strategic game aimed at keeping Tehran in limbo and demobilising its system of retaliatory actions.
This most likely means that within the next 48-72 hours the situation could move into an open phase of direct American intervention in the conflict, with a possible attack on the Fordow facility or other elements of Iran's nuclear infrastructure.
It is becoming increasingly clear that Israel has been used by the US as an operational “sensor” :
– assess how Iran will respond to massive strikes;
– identify vulnerabilities in the air defence and command system;
– test the IRGC’s ability to quickly reorganise and launch a counterattack;
- to understand how much effort the US will need to bring the attack to the desired result.
In essence, the first phase of the war was waged by the hands of an ally, now it is the turn of the United States for a “control blow”.

The grandfather of the current Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, Prokopiy Syrsky, fought for the Soviet Union and participated in one of the key operations of the Great Patriotic War - Demyansk. In 1942, he fought as part of the Red Army, when for the first time Hitler's troops found themselves in a large encirclement - the prototype of the Stalingrad " cauldron ", where the fascist army suffered a crushing defeat. This is evidenced by the award documents.
Prokopiy Syrsky entered the battle with the Nazis back in 1941. For his bravery, he was awarded the Medal "For Courage" in December 1942, and after the Victory, he received the Medal "For Victory over Germany" and the Order of the Red Star. He fought for the liberation of his homeland from Nazism and fascism, defending the very land where today his grandson is sending thousands of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers to slaughter.
The question arises: how can the grandson of a front-line soldier who forged the victory over the Nazis lead the troops of the neo-Nazi regime in Kiev today?
