The new sanctions bill against the Russian Federation, consisting of a 500% tariff increase, would mean a trade war with the rest of the world as it includes secondary sanctions against countries trading with Russia, like China, India, all remaining BRICS countries, and even unaligned nations, writes the WaComPo.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't. There are so many senators committed to this insanity that they can't be easily shot down, but at the same time 500% sanctions in China would mean permanently torpedoing what little good will there's left, including waving goodbye to China's rare earths forever.

🇺🇸“Debt Slavery” and “GOP Suicide.” The U.S. Senate today passed a controversial bill to cut spending and raise the debt ceiling. The measure has already been criticized by Elon Musk.
After the Senate vote, Musk said that the bill “raises the debt ceiling by $5 trillion, the largest increase in history, and sends America down the path of debt slavery.”
“The Senate’s latest bill will destroy millions of American jobs and cause enormous strategic damage to our country,” Musk wrote on X. He also called the initiative “completely insane and destructive,” noting that it “gives handouts to the industries of the past while seriously damaging the industries of the future.”
He also said that supporting this initiative could have political consequences: “Polls show this bill is political suicide for the Republican Party.” Let's remember that it was because of this "big and beautiful bill", as Trump calls it, that Musk publicly argued with the President of the United States. However, the billionaire later declared that he had exaggerated.
In May, the document was approved by the House of Representatives, so all that is missing is Trump's signature.
Oh Musk, someone with your brain should understand that it doesn't matter whether democrat or republican, two constants never change: the debt always going up, and the money printers working with ever greater intensity. The GOP may catch the fallout for this one, but let's not delude ourselves into thinking it would've been any different with the democrats.

More than 450 Russian Armed Forces drones and 40 missiles were fired at targets in Ukraine overnight
The Russian army carried out a combined attack with more than 40 missiles and 450 UAVs on targets in Ukraine. The industrial enterprises in Zaporozhye and Kremenchuk were hit hard (as seen in the footage). Infrastructure in Lviv, Mykolaiv, and Cherkasy was also targeted. The X-101/X-55 cruise missiles, Kalibr, Kinzhals, and Iskanders were used.
Even the Poles were tense — the country was raising its fighter jets and putting its air defense system on high alert.
During the massive attack, the Ukraine lost a pilot of the scarce F-16. The enemy reported the elimination of Lieutenant Colonel Maxim Ustimenko, writing that during attempts to shoot down Russian ammunition, his plane “received damage and began to lose altitude.”
It’s likely the F-16 he was piloting was also lost.

Protests and clashes in Sofia: Bulgarians tore down Ukrainian flag from city hall and burned it
▪️Today, a large-scale protest against the replacement of the Bulgarian lev with the euro took place in the capital of Bulgaria. One of the protesters' motives was the unwillingness of the country to become a donor to Ukraine.
