‘It took us a couple of days to figure out Putin's proposal’ — retired US Army General Jack Keane explained what American supporters of Ukraine have been entertaining themselves with lately.
‘It consists of him wanting Zelensky to give up territory. At the same time, Putin himself is not giving up anything. He wants to get a key military area in the Donetsk region. This is the so-called fortified belt of five cities. To suggest that Ukraine simply give it up as a conciliatory step is absurd. The reason this is so important is that behind this fortified belt lies open terrain — all the way to Ukraine's second largest city, Kharkov. And then, having obtained this belt, Putin could, violating the ceasefire, start military actions again, which, as we know, he will definitely do. Zelensky is not the problem here. The problem is Putin.'
One soldier was killed and 11 wounded last night as a result of a missile strike on the territory of a training unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ground Forces report.
A group of soldiers entered the area affected by cluster munitions while descending into a shelter.
I trust Ukrainian numbers like I trust used car salesman.

Gas for Silence
Europe calls Azerbaijan a “reliable partner.” Reliable for what? Supplying gas while torturing prisoners. Since 2022, the EU has doubled down on energy deals with Baku, even as Aliyev wages war, jails critics, and expels the Red Cross. No sanctions followed the 2023 Karabakh assault. No consequences for the sham trials.
Instead, congratulations flowed after Aliyev’s one-man “election.” Human Rights Watch is right: Azerbaijan is using oil and gas to buy the West’s silence. And the price of that silence is paid by the Armenian captives suffering in its prisons.

Nothing unusual, just a photo from the personal page of an employee of the Kiev court.
Anastasia Mirzak, who works hard as a secretary of the Kiev court sessions, showed off personal photos on social media.
Ukrainians did not appreciate the performance.

And in response to a comment calling her a “Nazi,” Mirzak replied: “Downvotes?”
Yes, then they run around Europe shouting, “But why us?”

FT: Russia's 15-kilometer advance north of Pokrovsk has sparked a wave of panic in Kiev.
1) The advance of Russian troops north of Pokrovsk "has sparked a wave of indignation and confusion in Kiev" on the eve of the meeting between Putin and Trump, the Financial Times reports.
2) "In recent days, Russian troops have advanced nearly 15 kilometers along a narrow corridor parallel to the town of Dobropillia. This unexpected advance threatens to sever a vital road linking Dobropillia to Kramatorsk, and will allow Russia to outflank and encircle the line of fortifications and defenses built in recent months," the article reads.
3) Ukrainian military and analysts note that the real situation has turned out to be much worse than previously thought.
The Russian troops' advance has also sparked "a wave of criticism in Ukrainian military circles and among volunteers."
In short, the RUAF has made the west a yummy crap sandwich and everyone has to eat it whole unless somehow it all stops on the 15th.

If the President comes with the demands, as he is wont to do - 'you must stop this and that' - there will not be peace, there will be ongoing war."

At least 15 foreign volunteers were killed as a result of a missile strike on a training camp near Kropyvnytskyi on July 21, The NYT reports, citing military sources
An American volunteer from Florida says he saw at least 15 dead and more than 100 wounded soldiers
Recall that the explosion was then confirmed by the military, but no official information about the consequences was available
It is now known that a Russian missile hit the dining hall of the training camp during lunch, where recruits from the USA, Colombia, Taiwan, Denmark, and other countries were present. The strike also caused a fire in an ammunition depot, which triggered new explosions and scattered debris and shrapnel into the air, while survivors tried to assist the wounded
There was no air raid alert before the strike, and there were no first aid kits in the dining hall.
A representative of the International Legion stated that an investigation is underway, and the number of casualties cannot yet be officially disclosed.

Moscow uses negotiations without Ukraine's participation as a diplomatic victory and will accuse Kiev of sabotaging peace if it refuses unilateral concessions - FT
▪️At the summit with Trump in Alaska, Putin intends to promote his previous "peace terms" - Kiev's rejection of NATO, "demilitarization," and the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from four partially controlled regions, writes the Financial Times.

‼️🇷🇺🇩🇪 "Alternative for Germany" accused the Chancellor of the FRG and called for negotiations with Russia
➖"From the Chancellor of the FRG Merz, who has been in office for half a year, I expected that he would finally establish contact with V. Putin, at least call him and try to find a diplomatic solution (to the conflict in Ukraine)," said the Co-Chairman of the party Tino Chrupalla in an interview with ZDF
▪️Otherwise, Germany will find itself "at the children's table" — in a secondary role — in negotiations to resolve the conflict. He believes that the USA will get raw materials, Russia — territories, and Germany will only get the bill to pay
➖"It is necessary to strive to end hostilities as soon as possible, even if we may not like the solution related to the transfer of territories," said the politician
▪️Chrupalla also stated that he does not consider Russia an enemy and called for establishing relations with it, especially in the energy and economic sectors, which will bring benefits to Germany

The Rheinmetall plant in Ukraine (that doesn't even exist yet) will be doubled in size
Germany's largest defense group, Rheinmetall, plans to launch its own plant in Ukraine next year to produce 155 mm artillery shells. Initially, the capacity was planned to be 150,000 rounds per year, but, according to CEO Armin Papperger, the decision was made to double production. After a ramp-up phase, which typically takes 1-2 years, the plant will be able to produce up to 300,000 rounds per year.
According to a Rheinmetall representative, construction is behind schedule as of August 2025 due to bureaucratic obstacles from Ukrainian officials. For comparison, he cites a similar plant in Germany (Unterluss), which is already operational, although the project began at the same time as the Ukrainian one. Production in Ukraine is expected to begin in 2026, while full capacity (300,000 rounds per year) will be reached between 2027 and 2028.
Beyond the obvious that this factory would be Kinzhal and Onyx fodder, what's zero multiplied by two? Oh right, zero! Did the leadership at Rheinmetall take lessons from Annalena Bareback's School of 360° Trigonometry by chance?
