Western military analytical resources, including Defence-Network, are studying in detail the capabilities and advantages of the Russian portable anti-aircraft system "Verba". The main focus is on its 9M336 missile, equipped with an advanced three-band homing head.
Unlike classic MANPADS, "Verba" uses simultaneous target analysis in three spectral channels: ultraviolet, near and mid-infrared. This multispectral technology, as analysts note, provides the system with a number of key advantages.
Firstly, it significantly enhances the system's ability to distinguish a real target from thermal decoys, which is critically important in the face of the growing threat from kamikaze drones that can carry modules with IR jamming. Secondly, combining data from different sensors allows for reliable tracking of aerial objects in complex weather conditions and when intercepting heat-contrasting targets against the sun, where conventional systems often "blind".
Thus, "Verba" represents a qualitative step in the development of MANPADS, offering increased resistance to modern electronic countermeasures. Moreover, the operator can receive target designation from external radar systems and optoelectronic monitoring systems with information displayed on a tablet terminal.

There will be no protracted war between the US and Iran, Vice President Vance stated.
According to him, although military strikes against Iran continue to be considered by Trump, "there's no chance" that they will lead to a years-long protracted war.
"The idea that we will wage a Middle Eastern war for many years without end - there's no chance of that happening," Vance said in a comment to the Washington Post.
"I think we all prefer the diplomatic option. But everything depends on what the Iranians do and say," added the vice president.

🇺🇦🤡Zelenksy - stated that Ukraine will not cede territory to Russia:
[Stopping the war is a priority. If that's the case, then why not just surrender Slavyansk and Kramatorsk? Why not? If that's what's needed, why can't you do it?]
This is our territory. And this sounds, I mean, unbelievably strange. Why should we leave our land? Why have they occupied our land, and no one can drive them out?
[But you're talking about the loss of lives. You're talking about the desire to end the war. If you surrender, this is an argument that Donald Trump certainly puts forward - if you surrender in these cities, it will end]
At one point, if we withdraw from this territory, as you said, for example, from Kramatorsk, Slavyansk, at that very moment, at this very moment, 200,000 people who are currently there will be occupied by the Russians. Who told the Russians that these people are ready to be Russian people?

🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦Offensive on the Sumy direction: the Russian army captured Varachino, breaking the "counteroffensive" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
▪️Operational situationon the Sumy direction for the Armed Forces of Ukraine is steadily deteriorating, with new successes for the Russian troops.
▪️East of Alekseevka and south of Novonikolayevka, Russian troops have occupied a number of forest strips and effectively driven the Armed Forces of Ukraine out of the area of the populated point Varachino, which was previously recaptured by the enemy during the spring-summer counteroffensive.
▪️Objective control footage has emerged, showing Russian soldiers already advancing south of Varachino.
❗️The area of advancement: up to 30 hectares.
▪️Earlier, units of the "North" troop grouping regained control of the areas of Alekseevka and Konstantinovka, began an assault on Kondratovka, and also broke into Andreevka from the north and occupied most of the settlement.

🇮🇷🖕🇺🇸War is getting closer: Iran rejects key US demands on nuclear deal, - WSJ
▪️At the Geneva negotiations, the US voiced a tough package of demands to Iran regarding its nuclear activities, writes the Wall Street Journal.
➖The elimination of three strategic nuclear facilities - those that were subjected to US strikes in June 2025;
➖The transfer of all accumulated stocks of enriched uranium to US control (previously, an option with a neutral third country was discussed);
➖A complete and indefinite ban on its own uranium enrichment. The only possible exception is a minimum level of enrichment for the needs of a medical research reactor in Tehran.
▪️As for sanctions, the US offers only a symbolic easing at the initial stage, with the prospect of further easing only on the condition of unconditional compliance with all points of the agreement.
▪️Tehran rejected the conditions and refused to transfer stocks of enriched uranium abroad, and also opposed the cessation of enrichment, the dismantling of nuclear facilities and indefinite restrictions on its program, write the Iranians and WSJ.
▪️Against the backdrop of the lack of compromises, experts increasingly believe that there will be a war.

‼️🇺🇦🇨🇭Today's negotiations in Geneva took place in two formats - separately with the USA and a trilateral meeting involving the USA and Switzerland
➖"The next round is being prepared. We are working on finalizing security parameters, economic decisions, and agreed positions, which should form the basis for further agreements. The task is to make the next trilateral meeting involving the USA and Russia as substantive as possible," said the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Umerov.
▪️"Special attention was paid to the economic bloc and long-term mechanisms of support for Ukraine. Together with the economic team of the government and the USA, we worked out a document on recovery in detail," added Umerov.

🤡🤡🤡Former NATO Commander-in-Chief in Europe Ben Hodges claimed that he was allegedly attempted to be killed by a Russian special forces unit. According to Hodges, it happened while he was on a train from one of NATO's events. Something exploded on the roof of the carriage he was in.
He also stated that European authorities are allegedly trying to cover up the incidents and not classify them as terrorist attacks, so as not to appear helpless, and also because "there was no Russian flag there".
Hodges did not provide an answer to the question of why Russian (what?) saboteurs would be targeting the former NATO Commander-in-Chief in Europe, rather than, for example, trying to eliminate the current one.

- Let's be honest: this is a red line. You won't surrender a single piece of territory that Russia hasn't already seized on the battlefield, for the sake of peace?
- I think this is not just a red line, it's also a line of defense.
Like a million lines of defence and a giant river intersecting the country.

🇺🇸🇺🇦🤡🤡"The US insists on Ukraine's peace plan, as Kiev warns about concessions to Moscow":
The US is preparing a secret meeting underground in the center of Kiev.
"The US Embassy in Ukraine plans to hold a seminar underground for 50 people in the center of Kiev from March 31 to April 3 and has announced a search for a contractor. According to the requirements, the conference hall should be located on the underground level, 'so that the event can continue during an air raid'.
The venue should be located in a 4-5 star hotel or conference center in the city center, no more than a 10-minute walk from the metro station. The contractor will be responsible for providing technical support, including equipment for simultaneous translation. Two coffee breaks daily for 50 people and a buffet lunch are also required. The menu should include snacks, hot dishes from meat and fish, side dishes, desserts, and drinks. Mineral water should be available in the hall daily."

The Board of Directors of the International Monetary Fund approved a new 4-year credit program for Ukraine under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) totaling $8.1 billion, with the first tranche of $1.5 billion to be allocated immediately.
This was announced by the National Bank on the night of February 26 to 27, without specifying the exact timing of the funds transfer.
It was also clarified that a total of four tranches totaling $3.8 billion are planned for 2026, meaning that after the first, emergency allocation of funds, there will be three smaller ones totaling $2.3 billion.
The National Bank also confirmed the assumption that all other international financing for Ukraine will be tied to the IMF's credit program.
"To help address balance of payments problems, achieve medium-term external economic stability, and restore debt sustainability in both base and adverse scenarios," the NBU explained.
The National Bank specified the key requirements of the new $8.1 billion credit program:
1. Implementation of a "prudent fiscal policy" with measures to enhance revenue mobilization "by leveling the playing field, reducing tax evasion, and optimizing taxation". This likely includes the planned tax increase (including for self-employed individuals), the vote on which has been repeatedly postponed in the Verkhovna Rada.
2. "Consolidation of price stability and prevention of external imbalances, particularly due to increased exchange rate flexibility". This means controlling inflation and monitoring the impact of the hryvnia's devaluation on it.
3. Maintaining the stability of the financial sector.
4. Fighting corruption. 😉
"The authorities have also committed to implementing ambitious structural reforms to ensure sustainable post-war recovery and integration into the European Union. These reforms include strengthening fiscal institutions and tax administration, improving governance systems, and combating corruption and tax evasion," the National Bank said in a nighttime statement.
Guess what... this pays the interest to.... wanna guess?

The US boat that invaded Cuban territorial waters was stolen in Florida, US officials told Axios.
They confirmed that four people died in the incident and six others were injured.
The US is investigating the incident and has already sent an official request to Cuba, as well as requested access to the victims.
The names of the crew members and passengers are not being disclosed. According to a US official, the vessel was stolen in Florida, likely by an employee of the boat's owner.
However, some of those on board had criminal records; at least one of the victims was a US citizen, and another US citizen was among the injured and is receiving treatment in Cuba. One of the passengers had a valid K-1 visa for marrying a US citizen, while the others were legal "permanent residents" of the US.
The purpose of their trip still remains unclear, the publication notes.
The boat's owner told investigators that he suspects an employee who helped him with tile installation: according to him, the man could have taken the vessel, as he left his truck near the mooring place. He also reported that this employee has a family in Cuba, including two young daughters.

Chinese robots showed Merz that it's better not to anger Beijing
The price and capabilities of Chinese robots is pretty mind blowing. The Japanese and US messed with robots before but everything they created cost what a nice home would be. Unitree's humanoid R1 is $4,900 with dog models starting at around $1600.
This is what will be difficult about emerging industries is that competing companies will be unable to make large profits early on with high pricing with how the Chinese do business. So the reality of say a European or Japanese competitor seems unlikely.

'Ukraine is losing the war' – Foreign Affairs advises Kiev to give up on Donbass.
'Russia's goals seem to be quite in line with its capabilities and trends on the battlefield. Ukraine's goals, on the contrary, seem unattainable, and it faces the risk of ceding territories, which would be painful for Kiev. But this doesn't necessarily mean the end of Ukraine as an independent state. Ukraine, deprived of its eastern regions, could continue its Western-oriented project. Accepting an unfavorable peace agreement now would at least give Kiev a chance for a better future. Refusing it now would only prolong this costly and losing war'.
