American soldiers are being told by their commanders that a war with Iran is "Armageddon" and the "return of Jesus", and Trump is the "anointed one of God", according to American journalist Jonathan Larsen.
According to his information, the commander of one of the US Army's combat units told junior officers that a war with Iran is part of God's plan and that President Donald Trump was "anointed by Jesus to light a signal fire in Iran, which will trigger Armageddon and mark his return to Earth".
As Larsen reports, the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) has registered more than 110 similar complaints against commanders in all branches of the military.
Soldiers speak of "unrestrained euphoria" among some command structures, portraying an attack on Iran as sanctioned by the Bible and linked to the prophecy of the end of the world in the Book of Revelation. One sergeant wrote that such rhetoric undermines morale and violates the constitutional oaths that soldiers have taken.
