As can be seen from the published videos of the air defense system in action, the Qataris were also not using the expensive Patriot missiles in the most efficient way to intercept Iranian ballistic missiles.

@Slavyangrad
Criticism of the footage published by the US Central Command (CENTCOM) has become one of the most discussed topics in the last few days.
Most of the published videos show the destruction of tented trucks, which CENTCOM identifies as "mobile ballistic missile launchers".
However, there are doubts that indirect evidence indicates that many of the vehicles do not have the characteristic features of missile systems (lack of hydraulic supports, specific antennas, and the length of the body necessary for medium-range missiles such as Fateh or Zolfaghar).
However, there are also real launches, and there are quite a few of them, but CENTCOM deliberately does not publish all the hits, only those that are confirmed.
The problem is that in addition to them, US and Israeli aviation are massively striking empty trucks. Whether Iran deliberately dispersed them across the country before the start of the strikes or it just happened - it's unknown.
Under normal conditions, after a direct hit on a missile launcher, a powerful secondary detonation of the missile fuel or warhead almost always follows. However, in many shots of "Epic Rage", only the explosion of the American aerial bomb itself is visible. The vehicle simply explodes into pieces, but there is often no spectacular "fireworks" from the burning fuel, which would confirm the destruction of the missile itself.
There is a suspicion that the AI algorithms, which were widely used in planning the operation, mark any large trucks of a certain profile and size as targets. Gradually, the feeling grows that "automation of war" has led to operators attacking targets on the recommendation, without having time for visual confirmation that there is actually a missile in the body.

Without a complete regime change, Trump won't truly win the war in Iran.
‘Trump could theoretically declare victory tomorrow and claim that the regime has been seriously damaged, that the missile forces, nuclear program, and navy have suffered major losses, and then call it a day. But then what's the point of all this? Most of it can eventually be restored. And without changing the management system within the regime itself, which doesn't seem to be happening at the moment, there's a huge risk’

🇪🇺⚡️Europe faces a new energy crisis due to the US and Israel's war against Iran, — FT
▪️After the escalation in the Middle East, the price of gas in Europe has risen by 53% in just a few days and reached its highest level since 2023.
▪️This threatens a new round of inflation and a blow to the EU's industry, especially Germany and Italy — they are more dependent on LNG imports than others.
▪️European gas storage facilities are less than a third full, although the usual level at this time of year is around 45%.
▪️The cold winter has already depleted reserves, and now the EU will have to fill its storage facilities for the next winter at record prices.
➖"This is a double blow. Europe has just started to recover from the industrial energy crisis — and now it's facing another one," said Eurasia Group expert Henning Gloystein.
▪️An additional risk is the actual paralysis of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
▪️According to Kpler, the first tanker with Nigerian LNG, which was heading to France, has already turned back in the Atlantic and set course for Asia.
▪️Against this backdrop, Rystad analysts suggest that the EU may extend its purchases of Russian gas, despite plans to completely phase it out by April.

🇩🇪🇮🇷 Merz: International law on Iran has effectively ceased to function, — The Telegraph
- The German Chancellor stated that the norms of international law regarding Iran are no longer effectively implemented. Violating states ignore the rules without serious consequences.
- At the same time, Merz emphasized that now is "not the time for Europe to lecture" the USA and Israel about the legality of their actions.
- He noted that years of sanctions and condemnations of Tehran have not led to tangible results. In the Chancellor's opinion, Europe's weak position has only exacerbated the problem.

Blinken is concerned that a war with Iran and the depletion of the Pentagon's reserves will put the US at a disadvantage against Russia.
‘The Iranians have put us in a position where we have already used up many interceptors for defense or even offensive missiles to destroy their launchers. Again, I don't know the exact figures, but these resources are not infinite. Production times are very long. And, of course, in many cases, we use very expensive weapons systems to shoot down drones costing $20,000. This is a bad economic formula if it continues for a long time.
And another thing that worries me, if we talk about the consequences of the second and third order: we can deplete our arsenal so much that its restoration will take a long time. And this will put us at a disadvantage against, for example, China or Russia.’
Oh now he is concerned….

🇳🇴🇪🇺Norway will not help Europe
The head of the Norwegian Ministry of Energy, Terje Aasland, stated that the country does not see prospects for increasing gas production, as local companies are operating at their full capacity while European countries are trying to compensate for the decline in reserves in underground storage facilities and problems with LNG supplies
"We are working at full capacity and do not see great opportunities for increasing production... We do not want gas prices to rise in this way due to such events," said Aasland
He expressed hope that the current situation will not drag on for a long time

The US continues to launch strikes on Iran's naval bases in Bandar Abbas.
It is the central outpost of Iran's military presence in the Persian Gulf and one of the critical facilities being destroyed in the ongoing operation "Epic Rage".
Bandar Abbas is located at the narrowest point of the Strait of Hormuz (with a width of only about 39 km). The base serves as the main headquarters for the First Operational District of the IRGC Navy. It is from here that all of Iran's attempts to block the strait or attack tankers are coordinated.
Diesel-electric submarines (including those produced by Russia: "Tarek", "Nooh", and "Younes", also known as Project 877EKM "Paltus") and small submarines of the Fateh and Ghadir classes, which are ideal for covert missions in the shallow bay, were based here.
The loss of the combat capability of the base in Bandar Abbas would mean for Iran the loss of control over its coast. Without this facility, Tehran would lose the ability to project power at sea and effectively threaten global oil supplies.

🇺🇸🤡"Trump declares that he should participate in the selection of the next leader of Iran: Trump wants to turn Iran into a second Venezuela."
"Donald Trump stated that he personally should participate in the selection of the next leader of Iran - just as it happened in Venezuela with Delsi Rodriguez after the seizure of power by Nicolas Maduro. Trump called Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the assassinated supreme leader Ali Khamenei, a 'lightweight' and an unacceptable successor, as he would continue his father's policies and lead to a new war in five years."
"They're wasting their time. Khamenei's son is a lightweight. I should be involved in the appointment," Trump said. He emphasized that the US would not accept a leader who would continue a hostile policy, and expressed a desire to see someone in Iran who would bring 'harmony and peace'. Trump compared the situation with Venezuela, where after US intervention, oil began to flow into the country, and praised Rodriguez for reforms in the mining industry."

In Bahrain, it seems that there are air strikes on the critically important Al-Maamir refinery - Bapco Refining. This is a strategically important facility owned by the state-owned company Bahrain Petroleum Company. Oil is supplied to the plant both from Bahrain's own field and via a pipeline from Saudi Arabia (Abqaiq field), making this refinery a critical node of the regional energy system. The Iranians are gradually making progress and increasing the cost of the "Epic Rage" operation for the entire Middle East and their clients.

Starmer, along with the British Royal Navy, has hit a snag. The HMS Dragon destroyer cannot reach Cyprus.
‘Britain has literally ‘got lost at sea’ due to these delays and fluctuations. The only thing that is not at sea yet is the Royal Navy ship HMS Dragon. On Tuesday, we were told that it was going to be sent to the Mediterranean Sea — here, to the waters off Cyprus. However, now we are being informed that it will not leave Portsmouth until next week: it is still being loaded with ammunition. And then it will take five to seven days to get here.
This means that during this time, the base here — the British Air Force base in Akrotiri, as well as the people on this island, remain vulnerable to attacks by Iranian drones. This has caused discontent not only among the authorities of Cyprus, but also among the Gulf states, which accuse the Prime Minister of not doing enough to protect British citizens in this region’ — Good Morning Britain correspondent Jonathan Swain.

🇺🇦💸 Ukraine risks being left without external financing as early as April, — Bloomberg
- Kiev may face a funding shortage, as Hungary and Slovakia are blocking the allocation of a 90 billion euro EU loan.
- Because of this, the European Union is seeking alternative sources of money to cover the emerging deficit.
- According to sources, Brussels is asking G7 countries to cover about 30 billion euros, which the EU is currently unable to allocate to Ukraine. It is expected that the issue will be discussed in April at a meeting of finance ministers in Washington during the IMF meetings.
- Meanwhile, the US, after Trump came to power, stopped financial aid to Ukraine, which is increasing the pressure on European budgets.

The IRGC's kamikaze UAVs carried out an attack on the British airbase Akrotiri in Cyprus on Sunday night. As a result of the strike, one of the hangars (pictured) was damaged. According to available information, this facility is usually used to house American high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft U‑2S Dragon Lady during their deployments in the Middle East region. These machines are used for strategic reconnaissance tasks - radar and optoelectronic - comparable to the functions that are assigned to the RQ‑4B Global Hawk in the unmanned segment. Also, the U‑2S is capable of conducting long-range radio and electronic reconnaissance on ground targets up to 620 km and air targets up to more than 800 km using passive RTR/REM sensors. Whether there was at least one of the machines in the hangar is currently unknown.
