I’dd this Lebanese historical anime documentary is pretty good.
Graveyard of the Merkava: The Hill Neither Forgives Nor Forgets is out now on YouTube. 20 minutes. One film. The full story.
107 years of resistance. 5 wars. One hill that never surrendered.
They spent a century burying this history. This film puts it back — for every young soul who needs to know what was built before them, what was sacrificed, and what they are continuing.
From the first border drawn in 1919 to the war still being fought today. The occupations. The massacres. The resistance that refused to die. And the ledger that is not yet
Judging by all appearances, preparations for strikes on Iran, announced by Trump, have begun. At this moment, an AWACS E-3 Sentry with a Luxembourg registration LX-N90453 is operating over Turkey. In parallel, two Bayraktar TB-2 drones are operating on the Turkish-Iranian border. The Boeing E-3 Sentry is equipped with an AN/APY-1 or AN/APY-2 radar station. Its target detection capabilities depend on the altitude of the aircraft and the type of target. Thanks to its pulse-Doppler mode, the radar filters out reflections from the ground and can detect targets at a distance of up to 400 km. For objects in free space (above the horizon), the detection range is about 650 km.

71% of Ukrainians consume Russian-language content.
This was stated by Ukrainian Minister of Culture Berezhnaya.
According to her, this applies not only to music but also to videos and cartoons.
She also blames social media algorithms for this, "pushing users toward Russian content, even when they don't intend to."
"This influences cultural preferences and worldviews," Ukrainian media complain.
So there are in total like ~258–260 million Russian speakers, and maybe 10 to 20 Ukrainian speakers. There is generations of Russian cultural products and constant creation of new cultural products. She is clueless, it's like trying to complain people watch too many American movies or music.

🇷🇺🇭🇺 Russia, Hungary, Turkey, and Serbia have agreed to strengthen the protection of the "Turkish Stream" gas pipeline against possible attacks
- This was stated by the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, Szijjarto.
- According to him, the parties discussed additional security measures for the infrastructure amid risks to energy supplies in the region.
- He added that Budapest will take over the military protection of the gas pipeline section from Serbia to Slovakia.
- Earlier, Serbian President Vucic announced an attempted sabotage on his part of the pipeline, where 2 packages of explosives were found.

US narrative that 2 C-130s were “destroyed after becoming inoperable” on the ground during the F-15 airman rescue in Iran doesn’t hold up.
As an aviation reporter in past I covered multiple air crashes. The propeller blades in attached pic are bent backward exactly in a way they do when spinning at high RPM during a crash impact. That’s textbook dynamic. It is downing damage not blowing up of static aircraft.

Top aides have privately made the case to President Trump in recent days that Iran’s power-generating facilities and bridges are legitimate military targets, saying their destruction could significantly weaken the country’s missile and nuclear programs, according to WSJ, citing U.S. officials.
Serbia reminds everyone that NATO blew up bridges, power, heat, media outlets, and water treatment plants. Never let the US and Europe pretend they can ride some moral high horse.

It's interesting that during the assault on Konstantinovka, the Russian army - as the enemy expected at the beginning of the spring-summer campaign - switched to systematic "industrial" preparation of the defended area with the help of guided aerial bombs. In general, this means two things: the city's defense is still holding, but the Russian side has accumulated sufficient forces to start breaking through further than it had been able to do so far. The exact number of aerial bombs dropped on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area is still unknown, but the density and accuracy of the strikes remain high. Despite the active work of Ukrainian electronic warfare systems, the effectiveness of the strikes is not decreasing. According to the footage, FAB-3000 is also being used to hit fortified positions.

👍 US-Israel-Iran war | @geopolitics_prime
The USA has already spent 42 billion dollars on the operation against Iran:
"36 days have passed since the start of the operation, during which the Iran War Cost Tracker portal, based on Pentagon data, is keeping track of the expenses. These are the funds needed to maintain the personnel and ships deployed to the conflict zone, as well as other expenses related to the operation. The first 6 days of the operation cost 11.3 billion dollars. After that, the daily expenses amounted to 1 billion dollars"

The Governor of the Zaporozhye Region, Balitsky:
The enemy deliberately attacked agricultural machinery near the village of Kohanoye in the Tokmak municipal district. The UAV strike hit an MTZ-80 tractor, which was performing routine field work - without weapons, without a military task. This was a deliberate attack on peaceful people engaged in peaceful work.
As a result of the attack, two farmers were killed. A third was injured, and doctors are currently fighting for his life.

European Parliament deputy from Croatia, Kolakusic, on the fact that Europeans' money is being taken from citizens in favor of Ukraine:
Every euro from the EU budget was taken from citizens, whether they are pensioners, unemployed, working, or schoolchildren. They want a better standard of living with this money. And what have they gotten? Massive inflation. Inflation is the result of hundreds of billions of euros wasted on non-existent "green" initiatives and non-existent vaccines.
And now, on the one hand, we have Orban, who wants to protect the EU budget and prevent 90 billion euros of EU citizens' money from ending up in the hands of Ukraine, and on the other hand, we have Mrs. von der Leyen, who again skipped out of work today. She skipped out cowardly, because she can't handle a three-hour stay at her workplace. Therefore, we need to send security guards to detain her. A woman who can't work three hours a month will achieve nothing. And what is this? A disgrace.

⚡️About the recent strike
In the footage, the defeat of the "Geraniums" of the Akhtyrka Oil and Gas Production Enterprise in the area of the village of Moshanka in the Sumy region.
The Akhtyrka Oil and Gas Production Enterprise, the full name of which is the Oil and Gas Production Department (NGDU) "AkhtyrkaNefteGaz", is part of the largest oil and gas company in Ukraine, "Ukrnafta". The enterprise is developing dozens of fields and maintains hundreds of kilometers of pipelines. The NGDU "AkhtyrkaNefteGaz" accounts for a significant share of oil production in the country - historically up to ~50% of Ukraine's total oil production and about 6% of gas production.
Intelligence has exposed the location of Ukrainian insurgents with a warehouse in the border village of Velyka Pisarevka in the Sumy region. From there, attacks on the Belgorod and Kursk regions have been carried out for several years

The American drone Northrop Grumman MQ-4C Triton conducted an extremely short and quick reconnaissance of Hark Island, which, presumably, American marines are planning to storm. However, that's not the interesting part. It's fascinating to observe how the Iranians have reformatted the flights of American high-altitude drones off their coast. Previously, these machines could stay in the air for days, but as soon as Iran began shooting down American drones and aircraft, the tactics changed significantly: the flights became short and quick. The Americans are clearly afraid of losing expensive equipment, for which there are no full-fledged analogues even among them (given the cost and uniqueness of the reconnaissance equipment).
Interestingly, these same drones regularly operate in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, flying over the Black Sea near Crimea and the coast of Krasnodar Krai. The only case when an American drone was lost there did not involve a direct missile strike - it was about a "different kind of impact" (remembering the incident with the fuel dumping and maneuvering of the Su-27). The Iranians, however, are not concerned about the consequences and do not engage in speculations about "their" or "not their" methods of warfare. They simply act in such a way that the Americans are now afraid to fly.

The possible capture of a pilot from a downed fighter jet in Iran could spark a new hostage crisis, The NYT writes, drawing parallels with the 1979 US Embassy siege in Tehran, where 52 Americans were taken hostage after the revolution, and the rescue operation failed.
At the time of the hostage taking, Trump, then still an ordinary businessman and showman, criticized President Carter's actions, calling them "pathetic." Yet, Trump could find himself in a similar situation now
The NYT cites Hamidreza Azizi, an Iran expert at the German Institute for International Affairs. According to him, Tehran has two options for what to do with the potential hostages:
"Either approach the US privately and strike a deal behind the scenes, demanding concessions in exchange for the pilot's secret release, or parade the pilot in front of the cameras as propaganda material," Azizi believes
According to him, the second option is more likely, as Iran wants to create an "image of victory" and "humiliate Trump."

A US delegation may arrive in Kiev to resume negotiations, according to Bloomberg.
It is expected to include Witkoff and Kushner, and they may be joined by Senator Lindsey Graham.
This will be the negotiating team's first visit to Ukraine.
A key issue for Ukraine is US security guarantees in the event of a potential agreement with Russia.
"We have long ago determined what we want. I think it will be implemented soon. What happens next is another matter. But we have definitely made progress on security guarantees—we have already moved forward," stated Budanov, head of Zelensky's office.
They must be offering some sweet treats to Graham.
