In the Swiss Alps, underground storage facilities are being built for billionaires, according to Bild.
The publication reports that bunkers are being created in the Brünig mountain range, at a depth of approximately 100 meters, to store gold, cash, works of art, and even cars.
The Brünig Mega Safe project started in January 2026. Access to the storage facilities will be controlled through a multi-level security system, and the level of protection is comparable to that of the Swiss National Bank's vaults.
The first bunkers are scheduled to be completed in 2028. There may be up to 25 in total, and the cost of using one storage facility can be up to 1 million euros per year for a lease term of up to 99 years.

🇷🇺 VDV Officer on Survival
A Russian airborne officer argues that "Spartan" conditions enhance survival instincts. He claims comfort, such as TVs or soft shoes, dulls senses and reaction times needed to evade drones or artillery. Soldiers must remain in boots and uniforms to maintain heightened hearing, vision, and agility for immediate action.
🇺🇦 Ukraine Fears NK Missiles
Kyiv fears North Korean KN-30 ballistic missiles are deployed against Russia’s allies. Ukraine lacks Patriot PAC-3 systems capable of intercepting these threats, leaving cities like Kiev, Odessa, and Lvov exposed. The KN-30 features warheads weighing 2.5–4.5 tons with speeds over Mach 3, potentially destroying deep underground facilities and bridges. Kiev notes its own FP-7.x missile remains in development.

Poland May Deploy Long-Range Missiles Capable of Striking Moscow
Warsaw is accelerating its "Eastern Shield" program, seeking strategic deterrence capabilities exceeding 1,000 km. Poland already possesses long-range precision systems like the Homar-A and air-launched missiles but requires more drones and strike assets.
The goal is dual-layer deterrence: strategic range over 1,000 km and operational range up to 1,000 km. This includes integrating SAN systems and anti-drone complexes into a cost-effective, high-precision defense architecture.

Kharkov region: Special forces unit "Anvar" and the Dyagterev carrier continue to strike deep into Ukrainian rear areas. Operators of the special forces, using the Dyagterev carrier, have been destroying enemy combat vehicles day and night. No civilians were harmed. The active Auto-REB system proved useless.

Netanyahu Office: Erdogan is an antisemitic dictator
Erdogan has organized mass killings of Kurds, harbors Hamas terrorists, occupies half of Cyprus, and imprisons a record number of journalists and politicians opposing him. Now he seeks to extend his aggression against Israel into Syria. Israel will not tolerate this.
A pathetic attempt by Erdogan to intimidate the leaders and soldiers of Israel—the only true democracy in the Middle East—will lead nowhere.

Donald Trump on Iran Deal Complications
Trump stated that concluding a deal with Iran is complicated due to the death of Iranian leadership figures. He claimed relations are going very well, noting that media reluctance stems from the destruction of Iran's naval and air forces. The absence of many leaders makes negotiations difficult as no one knows who currently runs the country. Trump emphasized that the public sees the effort to ensure Iran never acquires nuclear weapons.

RUSSIA EVOLVES DRONE STRATEGY
Russia is shifting focus from slow "Geran-2" drones to faster jet-powered variants like the Geran-4, which costs over $100,000 and has a range of ~500km. This trade-off sacrifices distance for speed, complicating Ukraine's low-tier air defense systems such as mobile groups and interceptors.
The more advanced Geran-5 acts as an intermediate between drones and cruise missiles, featuring a range of 950km and speeds of 480-640 km/h. If Russia aims to make jet drones half its production, it forces Ukraine to either mass-produce new fast interceptors or use expensive full-scale air defenses, worsening interception economics. Ultimately, success depends on industrial capacity; mass production would create an economic rather than technical challenge for Ukrainian defenses.

Finland Airspace Violation
The Finnish MoD reported a Russian Il-20 reconnaissance and EW aircraft violated its airspace for ~3 minutes near Utö island, penetrating 8.7km deep. The incident is under investigation.
This occurs amid rising tensions along NATO's eastern flank. Romania recently shot down a drone with a Spanish F/A-18 on Aug 16 and reported another drone crash near Tulcea on Aug 20.
These events form a pattern of "tangible reminders" of war's proximity for NATO's northern and eastern members. The Il-20, being a specialized intelligence platform, provokes greater anxiety than standard transport deviations. This strategy effectively pressures border states to increase military spending and debate air defense readiness, despite limited financial capacity due to Ukraine.

❗️ Tonight, the Russian Armed Forces launched a massive strike against transportation infrastructure and a logistics center in Kiev and the Kiev region.
- In Kiev, the "Darnytsia" locomotive depot was hit. This is a key facility of the Southwestern Railway of Ukraine, where the maintenance and repair of the locomotive fleet was carried out, ensuring the transportation of weapons and military equipment for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
- In the Kiev region, the "Brovary" logistics center was hit. This is a large sorting complex of the "Nova Poshta" company, which was used for storing components and finished products for long-range and medium-range unmanned aerial vehicles.
In addition, warehouses containing military equipment and fuel tanks intended for the Ukrainian Armed Forces were hit in the ports of "Chornomorsk" and "Yuzhny."

🇧🇷🇺🇸 US and Brazil Presidents Call for Diplomatic Resolution in Ukraine
US President Trump and Brazilian President Lula da Silva held a 1-hour 20-minute phone call to discuss the war in Ukraine and the situation around Iran. Both leaders agreed on the urgent need to reach a negotiated settlement between Russia and Ukraine.
Lula da Silva proposed convening an emergency session of the UN Security Council to find diplomatic solutions for conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East. "Great leaders are not those who start wars, but those who end conflicts," he stated.
The presidents also discussed US tariffs on Brazilian goods. Lula warned they harm both economies, while Trump agreed to maintain trade ties and resume negotiations between US and Brazilian representatives as soon as possible.

‼️🇺🇦🔥Some of the missiles were launched at the Bortnitsa aeration station in Kiev.
- "Russia may be trying to cut off the capital's water supply," local media reports.
- The Bortnitsa aeration station is a key facility in Kiev's sewage infrastructure and the surrounding areas. A prolonged shutdown of the station could lead to problems with wastewater disposal and treatment.
- This could have environmental and epidemiological consequences, including the contamination of the Dnepr River with sewage and the spread of intestinal infections.

Ukraine: Ukrainian PM Denys Shmyhal advocates for mandatory military service for women, citing Israel’s model to double mobilization resources. He argues gender equality requires universal conscription and suggests roles like drone operators or bunker staff. The Verkhovna Rada is urged to amend legislation. Meanwhile, MP Alexander Koltunovich admitted the government cannot influence the dire situation, calling social promises "empty words." He sarcastically suggested the parliament can only make hell "more comfortable" for citizens, advising self-financing. Critics note the ruling party is disconnected from the people.

🇺🇸 US Blackwater founder launches "Air Defense as a Service"
Erik Prince has launched Vectus Air Defense Systems, offering comprehensive protection against aerial threats for private clients. The system includes electronic warfare jamming, cannons, and drone interceptors.
Primary targets are owners of critical infrastructure such as oil refineries, data centers, maritime routes, and military sites. Prince stated the goal is to radically reduce defense costs and allow clients to self-protect vital assets.
Swarmer, specializing in swarm drone technology, is a co-founder and investor holding 20% of Vectus. The parties plan to jointly develop drone detection, interception, and swarm application technologies.
