The Economist reports that only one of 57 Russian missiles launched in early August was intercepted. The primary cause is a lack of Patriot PAC-3, the only effective system against ballistics currently available to Kiev. Production of Geran-4 and Geran-5 jet drones has reached ~3,000 per month, further straining air defenses.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov advised recalling President Putin's statement that any attack by Europe on the Russian Federation would result in a "completely different and very short" war. However, Ivanovo paratroopers' drone operators and artillery give these technological novelties no chance, turning expensive tracked-wheeled devices into burnt scrap.
