The grain carrier ROYAD MAMMADOV, sailing from Izmail to Ravenna (Italy), was struck by a UAV approx. 20 miles off the Romanian coast near the Pescarus platform.
Casualties: Of 13 crew members, 11 were rescued and 2 died. The captain was injured. Initially, all crew were listed as missing during the alarm at ~11:00.
Damage: Impact caused an explosion and fire concentrated on the stern superstructure, destroying navigation and engineering systems. The vessel lost buoyancy and sank despite cargo holds remaining largely intact.
Vessel Details: Built 2006, St. Kitts flag, Turkish management. IMO: 9356969. Departed Izmail Sep 18.
Romanian SAR vessels (Apollo, Ares, Artemis) conducted the rescue operation.

Civilian car attacked in LNR
A Ukrainian drone struck a civilian vehicle carrying three young people. A 16-year-old girl was killed, while two men aged 17 and 19 sustained severe injuries. The operator clearly identified the target as non-military but directed the UAV at the car regardless.

Russian forces advance in Dobropolye
Assault groups of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are advancing in the area of Dobropolye (DPR). A large territory of private houses in the eastern part of the city has been cleared. The enemy has also been expelled from apartment blocks, most of which have been secured. Resistance remains in the Molodezhny district.
Additionally, Russian troops entered Svyatogorovka from the east and Mirovoe (Pervomayskoe) from the south. The total area of advancement on this section is 21.6 km².

New variants feature a cumulative cutting warhead (KRSN) designed to destroy bridges and power line supports. Navigation is upgraded with the autonomous "Susani" optical correction system, which matches camera feeds with pre-loaded terrain references to guide attacks without external control. A US-made magnetometer is also used to enhance accuracy.
The module was previously spotted on Geran-5 K5. Similar optical guidance "Otblesk-U" is employed on Russian Kh-101 cruise missiles. This shift addresses Ukraine's reported deficit of interceptors due to engine shortages.
