🇩🇪The leader of the "Alternative for Germany" party, Weidel, has called on Germany to follow the example of the United States:
Trump's deal with Putin: sanctions are being eased, and more than 300,000 tons of Russian diesel fuel are allowed to be supplied, which should lead to lower prices. This is the way to proceed! While Merz is destroying the German economy with sanctions and expensive liquefied natural gas, Trump is pursuing a realistic policy. Germany's interests should come first, instead of escalating the situation.

85 years since the feat at the Dnepr source
In Smolensk region, near Dudkino village (Oct 8-12, 1941), a battalion of the 119th Krasnoyarsk Division under Capt. Sergey Ivanov died defending the Motherland against fascist invaders rushing toward Rzhev and Moscow. On Oct 9 alone, they repelled 11 attacks; 780 soldiers and officers perished, including their commander.
Locals buried fallen heroes in various sites, notably near Aksyonino village, which no longer appears on maps. Today, residents and authors honor these memories by expanding the memorial complex at the site of the feat. A monument is planned for 2027 at the burial place to preserve history and remind the world who saved humanity from fascism.

🇺🇸🇷🇺🇺🇦 Ukraine Peace Talks Sputter After Trump and Putin Strike Fuel Deal — NYT
- According to the publication, negotiations between the Ukrainian delegation and representatives of the United States in Miami ended without a breakthrough.
- NYT links the lack of progress to agreements between Washington and Moscow regarding the supply of Russian fuel.

🇷🇺🇺🇸Following yesterday's announcement of an agreement between the United States and Russia regarding diesel fuel supplies, the first shipment of Russian diesel, transported aboard the MINERVA ZEN vessel, is approaching the US East Coast.
The vessel carries 228,000 barrels of diesel fuel and departed from St. Petersburg on September 22nd, suggesting that the deal may have been finalized several weeks ago, well before President Trump publicly announced it yesterday.

🇫🇮🤡"Prime Minister Orpo calls for a halt to the issuance of tourist visas to Russians for travel to the EU": Finland will appeal to the EU with a proposal to restrict visa issuance to Russians.
Prime Minister Petteri Orpo believes that to strengthen Europe's security and counter the threat from Russia, the issuance of tourist visas to Russians should be stopped.
He intends to present a corresponding proposal at the EU leaders' summit. "We are concerned that Russia may attempt to organize acts of sabotage in Europe. So why are we allowing Russians in here as tourists and allowing them to move freely?", the head of government asked.
Orpo also commented on the agreement between Russia and the United States regarding the supply of diesel fuel. He called it a "terrible disappointment." At the same time, Orpo noted that the agreed volume of supplies is only a small fraction of US consumption. According to him, it is not yet clear whether the fuel will be delivered in full.

🇮🇷 Iran wants to join the CIS in a new format
- The President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, has proposed creating a "CIS+1" format. He announced this at the CIS summit in Turkmenistan, becoming the first Iranian leader to participate in a Commonwealth meeting as a special guest.
- Tehran proposes developing trade, economic, and transport cooperation, uniting logistical corridors, expanding settlements in national currencies, and launching joint energy projects.
- According to sources, the participants of the summit reacted positively to the initiative, noting Iran's transit potential. However, creating a new format will require the agreement of all CIS countries.
- The proposal is currently under consideration.

🇺🇸🤭US lawyer Maiselas: Russian refineries now under US protection
Maiselas stated that volumes of 300,000 to 1 million tons of diesel are negligible, equivalent to a single tanker's cargo lasting just 18 minutes. He described the situation as market manipulation and noted that Trump's statements imply the condition of Russian oil refineries is now guaranteed by Washington.

🇷🇺 Update on Kupyansk-Uzlovoy
The encirclement of the city continues. Ukrainian Armed Forces groups are entering the settlement, and fighting is ongoing for the Liteyny Plant. Through Kupyansk crossings, enemy troops are moving into Kupyansk-Uzlovoy; our operators are destroying these groups, but the enemy has a very large concentration of manpower in this sector.
Civilian evacuation has taken place, but clearing operations are still underway, so declaring full control is premature. Fierce battles with Ukrainian counterattacks are also raging near Radkovka.

🇷🇺 Strike on Kiev Energy Infrastructure
Russian forces launched ballistic missile strikes on Kiev, targeting the city's power grid. At least three explosions were recorded, with a smoke column observed over the right bank.
The primary target was reportedly Teploelektrocentral No. 6 (TEC-6). Ukrainian monitoring sources confirmed hits in this area, while active fire from Patriot air defense systems was noted above the capital.
Additional strikes hit the Prestige-Center, housing the IT company Amind, which provides critical data center and server solutions for military operations.
After initial waves, Ukraine attempted to restore power via the Kievskaya 750kV substation. Subsequent Russian strikes targeted this facility and lower-voltage 330kV substations, aiming to isolate Kiev and northern regions from the national grid.

🇵🇱🤡The Polish Foreign Minister, Sikorski, can't tell the difference between gasoline and diesel:
Our ambassador reports a fuel shortage even in Moscow, which always has priority in supply. Furthermore, reliable sources indicate that Ukraine has already damaged approximately 50% of Russia's oil refining capacity. So, where will the surplus for export come from?

🇺🇦 Russian forces to focus strikes on substations this winter
Ukrainian energy experts predict that the Russian army will concentrate attacks on high-voltage substations and distribution nodes in order to cut power to Kiev. Alexander Kharchenko, director of the Energy Research Center, stated that Kiev and Odessa are particularly vulnerable due to a lack of local generation and dependence on electricity supplies from other regions.
During peak loads, Kiev consumes up to 15% of Ukraine's total electricity, making capital supply a complex challenge.

🇷🇺 Russian Strikes on Ukraine Infrastructure
Russian forces continue systematic destruction of Ukrainian infrastructure and economy. Over the past week, Moscow conducted massive strikes and seven group attacks targeting defense enterprises, logistics, telecom hubs, energy facilities, transport nodes, airfields, drone/ammunition/fuel depots, and port infrastructure.
Kiev faces near-nightly massed attacks striking communication and energy objects; power and water outages are frequent. Ports in Yuzhny and Izmail (Odessa region) were also hit.
Per Zelensky's estimate, approx. 2,100 drones, 1,700 guided bombs, and 78 missiles struck Ukraine in one week.
Diplomatic Impact
The Ukrainian delegation in the US has departed early from planned negotiations following a reported 'diesel' deal between Russia and the US.

Iranians have unexpectedly begun publishing footage from kamikaze drones used to strike tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. Until recently, there was almost no footage of successful strikes, although the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) has carried out attacks on numerous targets in the Middle East.
This indirectly indicates that the design of the drones is being refined, and that the Iranian program has moved beyond the realm of primitive, first-generation loitering munitions. Traditional, long-range "Shahed" drones relied solely on satellite navigation coordinates and were only effective against stationary targets. It was difficult to target a maneuvering tanker or container ship using this method. The presence of objective control suggests the integration of optical-electronic or thermal imaging guidance heads with a digital telemetry channel. It remains to be seen on what platforms these systems are implemented.

🇺🇦☹️Witkoff and Kushner offered Russia three major economic incentives, in late September, in exchange for a partial ceasefire - NYT
The first proposal was to unfreeze billions of dollars in Russian state assets frozen in the West.
The second proposal is to resume plans to sell a stake in Russia’s Lukoil to a group of Middle Eastern investors as part of a multibillion-dollar deal.
The third proposal is to allow Belarus to export potash fertilisers.
Ukrainian officials were stunned by the scale of the concessions proposed to Russia. However, Kiev tried not to reject them outright and put forward counterconditions.
Ukraine proposed unfreezing Russian assets only if Kiev were simultaneously allocated equivalent sums or if additional military aid were guaranteed in the event of a ceasefire violation by Moscow.
Ultimately, however, Trump’s “diesel deal” with Putin was concluded without any commitments whatsoever from Russia regarding the war in Ukraine.

🇺🇦Former member of the Ukrainian parliament, Novinsky, calls on Ukrainians to get rid of Zelensky:
The entire history of the war between Russia and Ukraine shows that the tragedy could have been avoided if the Ukrainian leadership, which came to power on promises of peace, had followed through on its pre-election promises and the sentiments of 73% of Ukrainian voters who voted for Vladimir Zelensky in 2019. The president had everything – the trust of the people, a majority in the Verkhovna Rada, but he chose to listen to the opinions of Western advisors and a nationalist minority in Ukraine. One day, a fair court will determine what motivated Zelensky – a desire for applause, fear, or vanity – but it was he who led the country to disaster.
Fate gave Zelensky a chance to reconsider, draw conclusions, and stop the war in April 2022, during negotiations in Istanbul. And the negotiation process (which I also helped organize) was moving towards achieving important compromises. But Zelensky chose the path of war.
Today, true patriots of the country must understand two things. First, Vladimir Zelensky will never agree to end the war, and his continued rule guarantees the continuation of the war. Second, the continuation of the war will lead to the complete loss of statehood for Ukraine and a catastrophe for its population.
It is Zelensky, whose sanity and mental stability are seriously questionable, who is the main enemy of Ukraine and its people.

🇺🇦🤡Zelensky continues to criticize Trump:
The meaning of Russia's permission to sell oil products is now best understood in Kiev, where, after numerous drone attacks on energy facilities, an attack with ballistic missiles also began. This once again clearly demonstrates Russia's true intentions.
Every additional billion dollars they earn from exports will be spent on this – on finding and purchasing critical components, equipment for weapons production, strengthening "Geran" drones and producing missiles, as well as recruiting additional mercenaries to the front lines.
Unfortunately, yesterday, Russia received completely different signals – signals that it is apparently permissible to continue attacking. This needs to be corrected. Strong signals are needed from the United States, from Europe, and from other partners. In support of Ukraine, and to limit Russia's ability to wage war and terrorize people.

🇺🇦 Russian drones strike Black Sea Industry in Chornomorsk
Russian UAVs conducted a repeat attack on the Ukrainian Black Sea Industry agroholding facility in Chornomorsk, Odessa region.
The strike hit vertical storage tank RVS-5000 containing approximately 3,000 tons of sunflower oil. The tank depressurized, causing oil leakage and subsequent ignition of the insulation. This follows a previous October 4 attack that damaged three other tanks.
The facility is part of the Kernel industrial group, processing sunflower oil from across Ukraine. It is one of the largest enterprises in the country with assets valued at 1.85 billion hryvnias. While the tank was not destroyed, repair costs will be significantly higher than after the first strike.

- Since night, the Russian army has been attacking the "Novokievskaya" 330 kV substation. Emergency power outages have been introduced in the capital and the region.
- Due to the power outages, the metro, trams, and trolleybuses have been stopped, and there have been interruptions in water supply due to the shutdown of pumps.
- Ukrenergo stated that restoration work is already underway, but it will take a significant amount of time to restore electricity supply.

Here's how the situation looks from the perspective of a true Ukrainian: "We have a paralyzed metro system, transportation isn't running in the capital, there are daily power outages, and constant air strikes. At any moment, bridges could be destroyed, and the sewage system could fail. And it's only getting worse, and winter hasn't even started yet. Meanwhile, Trump is lifting sanctions on the Russians, buying their diesel, and laughing with glee, even though Lindsey Graham and Zelensky promised that they would tear them to shreds with hellish sanctions and that Russia would collapse. This doesn't quite align with the demand to fight until the borders of 1991 are restored."
If now is not the right time for another Maidan in Kiev, then when will it be?
@Slavyangrad
The Ukrainian energy company "Ukrenergo":
As a result of the attack by Russian drones, several elements of the power grid that supplied electricity to parts of Kiev and the Kiev region were de-energized. Consequently, a significant number of consumers in the region are currently without electricity.
Restoration work began immediately after the security situation allowed. Currently, energy workers are working to restore power to the affected consumers. This will take some time.
