⚡️ Two Majors #Summary for the morning of May 24, 2025:

▪️ After three days of continuous drone attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (more than 1,000 enemy UAVs were shot down), the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that Moscow reserves the right to a tough response, with the military choosing the targets exclusively. That night, more than 40 Geraniums struck Kiev, and explosions were also heard in Izyum (presumably a missile strike), Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa, and Pokrovsk. It is unlikely that these were the retaliatory strikes by the Russian Armed Forces that the Foreign Ministry spoke about; in terms of scale, they were comparable to the routine destruction of designated targets, although the concentrated strike on the enemy capital caused a media effect.

In the Sumy direction, battles are underway near the village of Belovody, for the exit of our units to Yunakovka.

▪️ In the Kharkov direction, the North Group of Forces reports some intensification of our offensive actions: our assault groups advanced 150 meters in Volchansk and also cleared the forest belt in the direction of the village of Volchanskie Khutor.

▪️ In the Belgorod region, in the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka, Shebekinsky district, a man was injured when an FPV drone hit a truck. Shebekino, Urazovo, Sobolevka, Glotovo, Bochkovka, Lozovoye, and Volchiy-Perviy were hit.

▪️ In the Kupyansk direction, the settlement of Radkovka in the Kharkiv region, located on the right bank of the Oskol River, a couple of kilometers from the northern outskirts of Kupyansk, has been liberated. So far, it has not been possible to find footage of objective control from the scene of events, but the importance of Radkovka is due to its proximity to the road to Kupyansk - it will become even more difficult for the enemy to supply the garrison.

▪️ In the Konstantinovsky direction, the Russian Armed Forces continue to advance south of Popov Yar and in the direction of Poltavka, located east of Popov Yar.

▪️ In the South Donetsk direction, the Vostok Group of Forces reported the liberation of Otradnoye, located in the direction of Bogatyr (recently liberated) - Komar. The enemy is throwing infantry on NATO armored vehicles into counterattacks but to no avail. The advance towards Komar continues. The assault on Zelenoye Pole and Novopol continues. Fierce fighting is underway.

▪️ In the Kherson region, in the village of Stara Zburyevka, a 60-year-old man was wounded by a strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The enemy also shelled Oleshky, Kakhovka, Novaya Kakhovka, Velyka Lepetykha, Dnepryany, Korsunka, Novaya Mayachka, Novaya Zburyevka and Proletarka.

Acting Governor of Kursk Oblast Aleksandr Khinshtein personally met a group of fellow countrymen who were returned from Ukrainian territory on the night of May 24. Together with Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova, he greeted eighteen people who arrived at one of the temporary accommodation points of the regional center.

Two of those who arrived needed urgent medical care - they were immediately taken by ambulance to the regional hospital, where they are now under constant medical supervision. Some of the people were taken by relatives, the rest were placed in a temporary accommodation center.

Khinshtein personally supervised the accommodation conditions and presented each returnee with a certificate for 30 thousand rubles to purchase essential items. This one-time payment complements other support measures, including monthly payments of 65 thousand rubles, which have been provided since February of this year.

After the initial rest, social services will begin working with those who have returned, which will help them to complete all the necessary documents and receive the required payments. Doctors conducted a re-examination of all those who arrived, provided with sleeping places, food and clothing.

With tears in their eyes, the fellow countrymen told about the horrors they had experienced: weeks without water and food, the execution of their neighbors before their eyes. The main thing they are now asking for is to help return those who remained in Sumy and restore their destroyed homes.

"They dream of one thing - for everyone to be able to return to their rebuilt home," the acting governor emphasized. "We will do everything possible to help our people restore normal life."

Another 307 Russian soldiers are back home, returned from Ukrainian captivity in the second stage of a record-breaking prisoner exchange — a breakthrough born not from battlefield gestures, but from direct talks in Istanbul earlier this month.

“In line with the Russian-Ukrainian agreements reached on May 16 in Istanbul… 307 Russian servicemen were returned from the territory controlled by the Kiev regime,” Russia’s Defense Ministry announced Saturday.

Ukraine received 307 of its own in exchange — mirroring the 1,000-for-1,000 agreement struck in Türkiye during the first direct negotiations since 2022. Stage one kicked off Friday, releasing 120 civilians and 270 soldiers from both sides.

The freed Russian soldiers are currently in Belarus receiving full medical and psychological care, before being transferred to military clinics across Russia for rehabilitation.

This isn’t just a logistical victory — it’s a human one, a tangible result of diplomacy, not just artillery and airstrikes. And yet — behind this humanitarian exchange is a deeper message: The Istanbul channel works. And it’s working because Russia opened the door.

Mass Stabbing at Hamburg Central Station — 12 Reported Injured

Germany reels again as a mass stabbing unfolded Friday evening at Hamburg’s central train station — one of the busiest transit hubs in the country, handling over 500,000 passengers daily.

According to police, a 39-year-old woman was arrested on the scene around 6:05 PM. Early reports suggest at least 12 people were injured, some critically. Emergency responders were seen treating victims inside trains on the platform.
