ASSERTING THE GREATNESS OF THE QUR'AN
ALLĀH the Exalted emphasizes the greatness of the Qur'an, its high status and of being worthy of making hearts humble and rent asunder upon hearing it, because of the true promises and sure threats that it contains,
لَوْ أَنزَلْنَا هَذَا الْقُرْانَ عَلَى جَبَلٍ لَّرَأَيْتَهُ خَاشِعًا مُّتَصَدِّعًا مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ
Had WE sent down this Qur'an on a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and splitting from fear of ALLĀH.
If this is the case with a mountain which is hard and huge, that if it was made able to comprehend and understand this Qur'an, will feel humble and crumble from fear of ALLĀH the Exalted, then what about you -- O mankind Why do your hearts not feel softness and humbleness from the fear of ALLĀH, even though you understand ALLAH'S command and comprehend HIS Book.
This is why ALLĀH said (next),
وَتِلْكَ الاَْمْثَالُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُون
Such are the parables which WE put forward to mankind that they may reflect.
There is a Hadith of the Mutawatir grade that states,
The Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ had someone make him a Minbar. Before that, he used to stand next to a tree trunk in the Masjid to deliver speeches. So, when the Minbar was made and placed in the Masjid, the Prophet ﷺ came to deliver a speech and passed the tree trunk, headed towards the Minbar, the tree trunk started weeping, just like an infant. The tree trunk missed hearing the remembrance of ALLĀH and the revelation that were being recited next to it.
In one of the narrations for this Hadith, Al-Hasan Al-Basri said after narrating the Hadith,
"You - mankind -- are more worthy to miss the Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ than the tree trunk!"
{Tafsir Ibn Kathīr}
VIRTUE OF GRATITUDE AND BELIEF IN ALLĀH
ALLĀH tells us of the perfect nature of HIS self-sufficiency and the vastness of HIS forbearing, mercy and kindness:
مَّا يَفۡعَلُ ٱللَّهُ بِعَذَابِكُمۡ إِن شَكَرۡتُمۡ وَءَامَنتُمۡۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ شَاكِرًا عَلِيمًا
What would ALLĀH do with your punishment if you are grateful and believe? And ever is ALLĀH Appreciative and Knowing.
Because ALLĀH is Appreciative and All-Knowing, HE will give those who carry the heavy burden of commitment for HIS sake and persist in doing righteous deeds an immense reward and abundant kindness. Whoever gives up something for the sake of ALLĀH, ALLĀH will give him something better than it.
Furthermore, HE knows how you appear outwardly and what is in your hearts, and HE knows what you do and what it is based on, be it sincerity or the opposite. HE wants you to repent and turn back to HIM, then if you turn to HIM, why should HE punish you? HE does not find any joy in punishing you and HE does not benefit from punishing you; rather the sinner only harms himself, just as the deed of one who is obedient is to his own benefit.
Gratitude is humility in the heart and acknowledgement of ALLĀH’s blessings, utterance of thanks to the Bestower of those blessings, and physical acts of obedience to HIM; it also means not making use of HIS blessings to disobey HIM.

And they say, "There is nothing beyond our worldly life; we die and live, and nothing destroys us but ˹the passage of˺ time.” And they have of that no knowledge; they are only assuming. And whenever OUR clear revelations are recited to them, their only argument is to say: “Bring our forefathers back, if what you say is true!” Say, "It is ALLĀH Who gives you life, then causes you to die; then HE will assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt, but most of the people do not know." To ALLĀH ˹alone˺ belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. On the Day the Hour will be established, the people of falsehood will then be in ˹total˺ loss.
[Surah al-Jāthiyah: Verse 24 - 27]
"Indeed, my protector is ALLĀH, who has sent down the Book; and HE is an ally to the righteous. And those you call upon besides HIM are unable to help you, nor can they help themselves." And if you invite them to guidance, they do not hear; and you see them looking at you while they do not see. Take what is given freely, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the ignorant.And if an evil suggestion comes to you from Satan, then seek refuge in ALLĀH. Indeed, HE is Hearing and Knowing.
{Surah al-A'rāf: Verse 196-200}
There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grievous to him is what you suffer; [he is] concerned over you and to the believers is kind and Merciful. But if they turn away, then say, [O Prophet], “ALLĀH is sufficient for me. There is no god [worthy of worship] except HIM. In HIM I put my trust. And HE is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.”
[Surah at-Tawbah: Verse 128-129]
O children of Adam, take your adornment at every masjid, and eat and drink, but do not waste. Surely HE does not like the wasteful. Say, "Who has forbidden the adornment of ALLĀH which HE has produced for HIS servants and the good [lawful] things of provision?" Say, "They are for those who believe during the worldly life [but] exclusively for them on the Day of Resurrection." Thus do WE detail the verses for a people who know. Say, "My Lord has only forbidden immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealed - and sin, and oppression without right, and that you associate with ALLĀH that for which HE has not sent down authority, and that you say about ALLĀH that which you do not know."
{Surah al-A'raf: Verse 31-33}
This worldly life is no more than play and amusement. But if you believe and fear ALLĀH, HE will grant you your [full] reward, and will not ask you [to donate all] your wealth. If HE should ask you for them and press you, you would withhold, and HE would expose your unwillingness. Here you are - those invited to spend in the cause of ALLĀH - but among you are those who withhold [out of greed]. And whoever withholds only withholds [benefit] from himself; and ALLĀH is the Free of need, while you are the needy. And if you turn away, HE will replace you with another people; then they will not be the likes of you.
[Surah Muhammad: Verse 36-38]
Say: "Will you inform ALLĀH about your religion while ALLĀH knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and ALLĀH is Knowing of all things. They portray that they are doing a great favour to you by having become Muslims; Say: “Count not your Islam as a favour upon me. Rather, ALLĀH has bestowed a favour upon you, for HE guided you to Islam, if you are truthful.” Indeed, ALLĀH knows the unseen of the heavens and the earth. And ALLĀH sees what you do.
[Sūratul-Hujurāt: Verse 16-18]
Alif-Lãm-Mĩm-Ra. These are the verses of the Book; and what has been revealed to you from your Lord is the truth, but most of the people do not believe. It is ALLĀH Who has raised the heavens without pillars—as you can see—then established HIMSELF on the Throne. HE has subjected the sun and the moon, each orbiting for an appointed term. HE conducts the whole affair. HE makes the signs clear so that you may be certain of the meeting with your Lord.
{Surah Ar-Rad: Verse 1-2}
The Jews and the Christians each say, “We are the children of ALLĀH and HIS most beloved!” Say, “Then why does HE punish you for your sins?” Rather, you are human beings from among those HE has created. HE forgives whom HE wills, and HE punishes whom HE wills. And to ALLĀH belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, and to HIM is the final return. O People of the Scripture, there has come to you OUR Messenger to make clear to you [the religion] after a period [of suspension] of messengers, lest you say, "There came not to us any bringer of good tidings or a warner." But there has come to you a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And ALLĀH is over all things competent.
{Sūratul-Māi'dah: Verse 18-19}
Is ALLĀH not sufficient for HIS servant? Yet they threaten you with other [powerless] gods besides HIM! And whoever ALLĀH leaves astray - for him there is no guide. And whoever ALLĀH guides - for him there is no misleader. Is not ALLĀH Exalted in Might and Owner of Retribution? And if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, " ALLĀH." Say, "Then have you considered what you invoke besides ALLĀH? If ALLĀH intended me harm, are they removers of HIS harm; or if HE intended me mercy, are they withholders of HIS mercy?" Say, "Sufficient for me is ALLĀH; upon HIM [alone] rely the [wise] reliers."
[Surah Az-Zumar: Verse 36-38]
So never think that ALLĀH will fail in HIS promise to HIS messengers. Indeed, ALLĀH is Exalted in Might and Owner of Retribution. [It will be] on the Day the earth will be replaced by another earth, and the heavens [as well], and all creatures will come out before ALLĀH, the One, the Prevailing. And you will see the criminals that Day bound together in chains, their garments of liquid pitch and their faces covered by the Fire. So that ALLĀH will recompense every soul for what it earned. Indeed, ALLĀH is swift in account. This [Qur'an] is notification for the people that they may be warned thereby and that they may know that HE is but one GOD and that those of understanding will be reminded.
{Surah Ibrahim: Verse 47-52}
It is not ˹possible˺ for this Quran to have been produced by anyone other than ALLĀH. In fact, it is a confirmation of what came before, and an explanation of the Scripture. It is, without a doubt, from the Lord of all worlds. Or do they claim, “He made it up!”? Tell them ˹O Prophet˺, “Produce one sûrah like it then, and seek help from whoever you can—other than ALLĀH—if what you say is true!” In fact, they ˹hastily˺ rejected the Book without comprehending it and before the fulfilment of its warnings. Similarly, those before them were in denial. See then what was the end of the wrongdoers!
[Surah Yūnus: Verse 37-39]
HOW CAN YOU LIVE BY THE NAME AL-KHĀLIQ
1⃣ Seek everything you desire from the One who creates everything, even the smallest matters. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Each of you should ask for his needs from ALLĀH, even if the strap of your sandal breaks, because if ALLĀH does not facilitate it, it will never be possible." [At-Tirmidhī]
No evil eye, magic, or any force on earth can prevent what Al-Khaaliq has destined to come into existence, as exemplified by Firawn's futile attempts to prevent Musa's existence.
2⃣ Do not fear created things; fear only the Creator. Disregard fears of people's opinions, poverty, and failure. Concentrate on pleasing Al-Khaaliq, who will suffice for your needs. "Then is HE who creates like one who does not create? So will you not be reminded?" {An-Nahl: Verse 17}
3⃣ Form a new habit: take at least five minutes each day to sit down, day or night, actively look around you, and reflect on the creations of Al-Khāliq, because reflecting on the universal signs of ALLĀH is ine of the causes for the increase of Eemān. Sheikh As-Sa'dī said: "…and one of the causes and incentives for eemaan is reflecting on the universe; on the creation of the heavens and earth and on the diverse types of creation contained within them; to look at the human himself and the attributes he possesses, for this is a strong incentive for eemaan...
...all of this calls to the glorification of its originator and maker, to gratitude of HIM, to becoming attached to HIS remembrance and having sincerity of religion to HIM alone; this is the spirit and secret of eemaan."

🎙️Sheikh Khalid Ismail
ALLĀH has not decreed a certainty as doubt-free as death, but going by our attitude towards death it seems as if it is a doubtful thing in which there is never any certainty.
We can have doubts about anything, but we cannot doubt the fact that sooner or later our life will end. Yet, surprisingly, our lifestyle conveys the impression that we are unconcerned and unaware of death as if we are immortal! Thus, we do not prepare ourselves for receiving it with faith, good deeds, purity and virtue.
Let us be realistic and accept that one is bound to die and it can happen at any time. That being the case, we must keep ourselves pure and prepared at all times to avoid regret and shame when death does catch up with us.
Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما used to say, “In the evening do not expect ˹to live until˺ the morning, and in the morning do not expect ˹to live until˺ the evening. Take ˹advantage of˺ your health before times of sickness, and ˹take advantage of˺ your life before your death.” {Al-Bukhari}

THE JOURNEY OF ETERNITY
People of Taqwa! You were not created to perish, but to be transferred from one stage to another. You were transferred from ˹your father’s˺ loins to wombs, then from wombs to this life, then from this life to graves, then from graves to the Stand (Great Gathering on the Day of Resurrection) and then from the Stand to eternal dwelling, either in Paradise or the Fire.
— Bilāl b. Sa’d رحمه الله
[Kitab as-Siyar 5/91]
@alBaseeroh
Satan presents sins to people in a favorable light, such as how he deceived Adam and Hauwa into eating from the tree.
Satan whispered to Adam, saying, ‘O Adam! Shall I lead you to the Tree of Eternity and to a kingdom that will never waste away?’ [20:120]
‘Your Lord did not forbid you this tree except that you become angels or become of the immortal... Indeed, I am to you from among the sincere advisors.’ So he made them fall, through deception. [7:20-22]
Although Aadam was surrounded by many permissible foods, Satan convinced him to eat from the tree which was forbidden. Similarly, Satan tricks people into forbidden and punishable acts instead of those which are permitted and rewardable, such as fornication over marriage, music over the Qur’an, haram income over halal, and into the small percentage of prohibited food and drink over the vast majority that is wholesome and pure.
Surely Satan is an enemy to you, so take him as an enemy. HE only invites his followers to become inmates of the Blaze. [35:6]
WE made the day and night as two signs. So WE made the sign of the night devoid of light, and WE made the sign of the day ˹perfectly˺ bright, so that you may seek the bounty of your Lord and know the number of years and calculation ˹of time˺. And WE have explained everything in detail. WE have bound every human’s destiny to their neck. And on the Day of Judgment WE will bring forth to each ˹person˺ a record which they will find laid open. ˹It will be said˺, "Read your record. Sufficient is yourself against you this Day as accountant."
[Surah al-Isra: Verse 12-14]
Allah commands in surah al-Baqarah:
[وَاتَّقُوا يَوْمًا تُرْجَعُونَ فِيهِ إِلَى اللَّهِ ۖ ثُمَّ تُوَفَّىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ]
"And fear a day on which you will be brought back to Allah. Then every soul will be repaid what it earned, and they will not be wronged." [281]
In his tafsir of this ayah, Imam al-Baghawi mentioned:
[قال ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما : هذه آخر آية نزلت على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ]
Ibn 'Abbaas said: This was the final ayah to be revealed to Allah's Messenger.
[Tafsir al-Baghawi 1/348]
©️ Tafsir al-Baghawi
It was said to Imam Hasan Al-Basri (رحمه الله):
"Are we not ashamed when we constantly repent from a sin and then go back to it?” He replied: “How Shaytaan loves to win over you! (by making you think like this), never become tired/impatient of repenting.”
◉[جامع العلوم والحكم]
In any community, there must be a means to measure and evaluate each other. While the criterion for evaluating the dignity of individuals in most societies is material wealth and physical privileges, in Islam such evaluation bases are invalid and worthless.
To ascertain what has real value, we need to look for that which is considered worthy by the Creator and this is none other than the purity of one’s heart and deeds. ALLĀH says:
“It is not your wealth or children that bring you closer to US. But those who believe and do good—it is they who will have a multiplied reward for what they did, and they will be secure in ˹elevated˺ mansions.” [Surah Saba': Verse 37]
Those who possess the twin treasures of pure belief leading to pure actions are the ones who will be successful as ALLĀH mentioned: “The Day when neither wealth nor children will be of any benefit. Only those who come before ALLĀH with a pure heart ˹will be saved˺.” [Surah Ash-Shu'ara: 88-89]

“Rushing towards ALLĀH and depending on HIM, being pleased with HIM, filling the heart with love of HIM, constantly remembering HIM, feeling happiness and joy with knowing HIM – all of these are instantaneous rewards, a paradise of this world, and a life that the lives of kings cannot even compare to.”

Doom Looms for Whoever Fails to Follow Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ)
“As far as the Jews are concerning, their faith meant believing in the Tawraat (original Torah) and following the way of Moosa (Moses, peace be upon him) until ‘Eesa (Jesus, peace be upon him) came, after which whoever continued to follow the Torah and the way of Moosa, and did not leave this and follow ‘Eesa, was doomed. As far as the Christians are concerned, their faith meant believing in the Injeel (original Gospel) and following the laws of ‘Eesa; whoever did this was a believer whose faith was acceptable to ALLĀH, until Muhammad (ﷺ) came, after which whoever did not follow Muhammad (ﷺ) and leave the way of ‘Eesa and the Injeel that he had been following before, was doomed.”
{Islamqa, Question no. 2912}
@alBaseeroh
Hardships and calamities are part of everyone`s life, even the best of creatures, the Messengers of ALLĀH were not spared. Those who remain resolute in their attitude towards terrible periods and have full confidence in ALLĀH as being the Ultimate Power will always get rewarded for their endurance and determination in the way of truth.
We will always be analyzed for our belief in ALLĀH, Who will eventually make everything reasonable for us by differentiating us from the liars, for our truthfulness and persistence during the time of adversity.
The Hypocrites and the liars, when faced with calamities, will say, as ALLĀH mentioned: “ALLĀH and HIS Messenger have promised us nothing but delusion!” {Al-Ahzab: 12}
The believers, on the other hand, will say: “This is what ALLĀH and HIS Messenger had promised us. The promise of ALLĀH and HIS Messenger has come true.” And this only increased them in faith and submission. {Al-Ahzab: 22}
So, we should not tremble in such instances; rather maintain our belief in the Immortal Lord to get HIS bounties. If we do that then ALLĀH promises us that through our patience and endurance, relief, ease, and success will be yielded.
@alBaseeroh
And WE did not create the heaven and the earth and that between them aimlessly. That is the assumption of those who disbelieve, so woe to those who disbelieve from the Fire. Or should we treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like corrupters in the land? Or should We treat those who fear ALLĀH like the wicked? ˹This is˺ a blessed Book which We have revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ so that they may contemplate its verses, and people of reason may be mindful.
{Sūratu Sād: Verse 27-29}
The Quran is the word of ALLĀH, the construct it has, the meaning it carries are unmatchable and not to be found in any other book of the world. SubhanAllaāh!
“Do they not then reflect on the Quran? Had it been from anyone other than ALLĀH, they would have certainly found in it many inconsistencies.” {An-Nisā:82}
A Good Life is Connected to Patience and Contentment.
The reason for sadness in life is missing our on quick fortunes.
There is no continuous happiness in life, except for one who is occupied with the pleasure of his loved one, and being occupied in preparation to meet HIM.
If he finds happiness in this life then he uses it to assist him in acquiring the Hereafter. And if he finds hardship, then he assumes patience (sabr) as a reward for the Hereafter.
He is content with all that happens to him. He believes this to be from whatever ALLĀH has destined and understands that it is HIS will.
A poet said: “If me staying awake pleases you, then farewell to falling asleep.”
He who seeks fortune will become frustrated if he did not achieve it. He becomes a different person if he becomes poor or humiliated.
This is because he is seeking his desire.
How eloquent was what Al-Husri said: “I owe myself nothing, and have nothing to do with myself!”
These are words of a learned person, because he contemplates the reality of ownership. A servant may not object to HIS master’s orders, and his wish that things were different than they are is of no consequence.
“ALLĀH has indeed purchased from the believers their lives and wealth in exchange for Paradise.” [at- Tawbah: 111]
He looks at himself as owned by ALLĀH. A person, who sells a lamb to another, must not object if the buyer slaughters the lamb.
By ALLĀH! If the Owner says, ‘I have only created you as a proof of my existence, then I will make you vanish and never resurrect you’, then good souls must say: ‘We listen and obey, what do we own of ourselves for us to say anything?’
The journey requires a lot of perseverance. Once the final destination seen from a distance however, all tiredness will disappear.
So beginners! Be patient, for the destination is seen. And those who truly know ALLĀH ought to be happy, because they will be greeted with glad-tidings.
