JUMMU'AH REMINDER AND SUNNAH PRAYER AFTER JUMU'AH
O you who have believed, when [the adhān} is called for the prayer on the day of Jumuʿah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of ALLĀH and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew.
[Surah Al-Jumuʿah: 9]
SUNNAH PRAYER AFTER JUMU'AH PRAYER
Abdullah bin 'Umar (May ALLĀH be pleased with them) reported: I performed along with the Prophet ﷺ two Rak'ah (Sunnah prayer) after the Jumu'ah prayer.
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ said, "If anyone of you performs the Friday prayer, he should perform four Rak'ah (Sunnah) after it.''
[Muslim].
Ibn 'Umar (May ALLĀH be pleased with them) reported: The Prophet ﷺ would not perform any Salat (in the mosque) after the Friday prayer till he had returned to his house. He would then perform two Rak'ah there.
[Muslim].
{Riyadhus-Saliheen: Hadith 1125, 1226 & 1127}
COMMENTARY:
In one Hadith, there is mention of four Rak'ah, while in the other it is mentioned as two Rak'ah. It can be deduced that both of these are acceptable. 'Ulama' are of the opinion that one who performs them in the mosque, should perform four Rak'ah; whereas the one performing them at home, should perform two Rak'ah with one Taslim. It is better to perform them in twos as the Prophet ﷺ is reported to have said, "Perform the Nawafil of the day and night in twos.'' {Al-Bukhari}.
{Commentary by Hafiz Salahudeen Yusuf}

@alBaseeroh
O you who have believed, remember ALLĀH with much remembrance; and glorify HIM morning and evening.
HE is the One WHO confers blessings upon you, and HIS angels too, that HE may bring you out from utter darkness into the light; for HE is ever Merciful to the believers.
Their greetings on the day they meet HIM shall be, “Salam!”, and HE has prepared for them an honourable reward.
{Al-Ahzāb: Verse 41 - 44}
SHIRK ERADICATES GOOD DEEDS
ALLĀH said;
But if they had associated others with ALLĀH, all their deeds would have been wasted.
This magnifies the serious danger of Shirk and the gravity of committing it.
In another Ayah, ALLĀH said;
And indeed it has been revealed to you, as it was to those (ALLAH'S Messengers) before you: "If you join others in worship with ALLĀH, surely your deeds will be in vain." (39:65)
{Tafsir Ibn Kathīr}
Abdullāh ibn Mas’ud (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ said, “Whoever dies while associating anything with ALLĀH will enter Hellfire.”
Ibn Mas’ud said, “Whoever dies without associating anything with ALLĀH will enter Paradise.”
{Bukhārī #1181, Muslim #92}
@alBaseeroh_Ins
A DIALOGUE BETWEEN THE PEOPLE OF PARADISE AND HELLFIRE
ALLĀH informed us about a dialogue that will take place between the people of hellfire and the people of Paradise:
And the companions of the Fire will call to the companions of Paradise, ‘Pour upon us some water or from whatever ALLĀH has provided you.’ They will say, ‘Indeed, ALLĀH has forbidden them both to the disbelievers,’ {Al-A'rāf: Verse 50}.
What led them to the hellfire? ALLĀH says,
“Those who took their religion as a distraction and amusement and whom the worldly life deluded,” {Al-A'rāf: Verse 51}.
Materialism took over them. They were more attached to the material things than to their Maker. The love of ALLĀH should exceed our love for every other being or thing. The people who have taken religion as play and amusement have today chosen to ignore ALLĀH (may ALLĀH protect us), so on that Day, He will disregard them.
How does one ignore ALLĀH? By not abiding to HIS rules and regulations, by not abstaining from HIS prohibitions, and by not following the commandments that HE has ordained upon us.
Our Prophet ﷺ would say,
“O ALLĀH, make faith appear beautiful to us and adorn our hearts with it, and make kufr, sin and disobedience abhorrent to us. Make us of those who are rightly guided.” (Āmīn)

SAFEGUARD YOURSELF WITH TAQWA
Ponder over this poem by Imam Shafi'i (may ALLĀH have mercy on him):
تزود من التقوى, فانك لا تدري
Increase in Taqwa, for you don't know,
When the night enshrouds, will you live until dawn.
How many young ones wished for long life
But their souls have been entered into the darkness of the grave
How many healthy ones have died, without cause.
And how many sick ones lived a life span!
How many youth laugh during the night and day
While their shrouds have been woven whilst they do not know.
How many live till the morning, with negligence of it
And by the evening, they have become residents of the grave.
So always be upon Taqwa
So always be upon Taqwa to ALLĀH, surely it is
(It is) a protection from the horrors in the standing in the place of Hashr.
So increase in Taqwa, for you don't know
When the night enshrouds, will you live until dawn.

What a profound poem!

SUMMARY OF SĪRAH
SECTION 2⃣
PART 4⃣: THE FIRST BELIEVERS
1⃣ The first of the believers among women was Khadijah, who believed in him ﷺ and trusted the truthfulness of his message due to the clear signs of his prophethood that appeared to her since his journey with her servant, Maisarah.
2⃣ The first of the believers among men was Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, who was his friend even before his mission, and he never doubted him nor did he lie about him. Also, Zaid ibn Harithah, who was the Prophet's slave, so he freed him.
3⃣ The first of the believers among boys was Ali ibn Abi Talib, who was raised by the Messenger ﷺ.
4⃣ Abu Bakr called upon those who loved him and whom he loved, and a large group responded, including Uthman ibn Affan, the third of the rightly guided caliphs, and Zubayr ibn Al-Awwam.

SIX FASTS OF SHAWWĀL: SEPARATELY OR CONSECUTIVELY?
It is better for these six days to be consecutive, but it is permissible to spread them out throughout the month. {Subul as-Salām, 2/331}
Fasting them immediately after 'Id has a merit over spreading them out from a number of angles:
1⃣ In that is a hastening to do good deeds.
2⃣ Hastening to do them is evidence for the desire to fast and the lack of diversion from it.
3⃣ So that something that might prevent him from fasting them does not get in the way if he delays it.
4⃣ Fasting the six days after Ramadān is like praying the regular Sunnah prayers after the obligatory ones, so it should be after it.
And ALLĀH knows best.
OPTIONAL FAST OR MAKING UP MISSED FAST?
Whoever has days (of Ramadān) to make up then he should start with those, then fast these (six) days. This is due to his ﷺ statement,
"Whoever fasted Ramadān," and whoever owes days from Ramadān it does not apply to him that he fasted Ramadān until he makes them up; then he can fast the six. Hastening to perform the obligations and clearing one's self is required for the one who is legally responsible.¹
What is apparent from the two statements of the people of knowledge is: If the month of Shawwāl ends and the person did not fast them (i.e. the six days), they are not made up for, whether he left them due to an excuse or not. This is because it is a Sunnah whose place is lost. The Messenger ﷺ specified them in Shawwāl. Hence, whoever fasted them in other months, shall not attain their virtue because the benefit of hastening and racing which are beloved to ALLĀH has expired. If Shawwal was the same as other months, there would be no benefit in mentioning it (by name). And ALLĀH knows best.
O ALLĀH! Protect us in Islām while we are standing; protect us in Islām while we are sitting, protect us in Islām while we are lying down; and do not let the enemies and the jealous ones rejoice at our expense. O ALLĀH! We ask YOU for every good whose troves are in YOUR Hand, and we seek refuge with YOU from every evil whose troves are in YOUR Hand; and forgive us - O ALLAH, our parents and all the Muslims.
¹ See: Fath-ul-Bārī by Ibn Rajab, 3/280. He mentioned the two statements regarding the one who performed the optional act before making up and he said, "Most of the scholars hold it to be permissible."

🌙 LIVE EVERY DAY LIKE IT'S RAMADĀN!
Once again, Ramadān, the month in which ALLĀH bestowed upon us so many of HIS favors has come and gone so quickly...
Alhamdulillah, for many of us, it was a time of self-reflection, to better ourselves spiritually and engage in various acts of worship to gain the pleasure of ALLĀH. But what happens now that we’ve just entered Shawwāl? Do we keep firm to this character we developed or slowly go back to our original state before Ramadān?
It was said: “If a Muslim continues to have the patience to do righteous deeds after Ramadān, this is a sign that his (fasting) has been accepted by his Lord, the Most Generous, the Bestower of blessings. If he fails to do righteous deeds after Ramadān and follows the ways of the Shaytān, this is a sign of humiliation, meanness, lowly status, and being deprived of the help of ALLĀH.”
Whatever acts of worship we took up in Ramadān, be it fasting, spending the nights in prayer, or just generally doing good deeds, we must try to keep up this compliance and continue to be as obedient to ALLĀH as we were in Ramadān.
Remaining steadfast proves to us that we have gained something beneficial from the holy month and that we didn’t just fast or spent greater time in worship for the sake of it being Ramadān. We should treat Ramadān, not as a one-off, but as a starting point to do good deeds, improve our spiritual awareness and come closer to ALLĀH for what remains of our lifetime.
ALLĀH says:
“And worship your LORD until the certainty (death) comes to you.” [15:99]
Ibn Umar reported: A man asked the Prophet (ﷺ), “Which of the believers is the wisest?” The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Those who remember death often and have best prepared for it with good deeds; such are the wisest.” [Sunan Ibn Majah 4259]
But many of us wonder how we can keep the spirit of Ramadān going. In Ramadān, it seems to naturally fall in place, with us fasting in daylight hours, observing night prayers, giving charity, and reciting the Qur’an, while pondering over its meaning.
However, ALLĀH is so bountiful, that HE allows us to do each one of these acts throughout the year, just to name a few:
• We can still keep voluntary fasts (6 fasts of Shawwaal to begin with, already at our doorsteps).
• We can continue to perform night prayers.
• We can give to Charity and feed the poor and the needy all year round.
• And of course, we can recite the Qur’an anywhere and at any time.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“The best deeds are those done regularly even if they are few.” [Ibn Majah 4240]
Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As (رضي الله عنه) reported: The Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said to me, "Do not be like so-and-so O 'Abdullāh! He used to pray during the night, then stopped the practice.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
We ask ALLĀH to grant us the understanding, accept our good deeds, and keep us steadfast on HIS straight path.
@alBaseeroh
WHAT IS AFTER RAMADĀN?
PART 1⃣
There is absolutely no doubt that every fasting person who fasted the month of Ramadān and every person who stood in prayer during its nights earnestly hopes that his fast and prayer will be righteous and accepted, and that his endeavor is rewarded. He calls upon ALLĀH with invocations to grant him this desire and to confer upon him this wish.
There are signs that allude to the acceptance [of an action], indications that point towards this and characteristics which in their presence it is hoped that this goal has been reached.
From these signs is that the individual finds himself upon more good, uprightness and obedience after Ramadān than prior to it. He performs his worship with fervor and dedication. He guards the compulsory matters and obligations, and he performs the prayer in the Masjid along with the congregation. He loves good, acts upon it and commands with it; and he hates evil, abandons it and warns against it.
As for the one whose condition is the same after Ramadān or worse than it - he is reckless in his transgression and misguidance, lazy in fulfilling the obligations and neglects them, and engrossed in forbidden acts and encourages with them - then these are signs of clear loss and a lack of prosperity.
He did not seize the opportunities in the season of obedience, he did not pursue its gifts in the season of bounties and he did not ask ALLĀH for forgiveness nor exhaust its means in the month of forgiveness and pleasure. What a great loss! What a serious calamity! What a terrifying outcome and punishment!

SUNNAH FASTS IN SHAWWĀL
SUGGESTED 6 DAY PLANS TO FAST (PLAN 2⃣)
“Whoever fasts Ramadan and follows it with six days of Shawwal , it will be as if he fasted for a lifetime.”
(Narrated by Muslim, Abu Dawud, al-Tirmidhi, al-Nasai and Ibn Majah)
VIRTUES AND FRUITS OF FASTING SIX DAYS IN SHAWWĀL
Abū Ayyūb al-Anşārī (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) narrated that ALLĀH'S Messenger ﷺ said: "Whoever fasts Ramadān and follows it up with six days from Shawwāl, it is as if he fasted perpetually." {Muslim #1164}
The hadith is evidence for the virtue of fasting six days in Shawwāl. What is meant here by 'perpetual' is: a year; i.e. as if he fasted the whole year. It has come in the hadith of Thawban (may ALLĀH be pleased with him):
"ALLĀH made the reward for the good deed ten times its like. So, a month will be ten months, and six days after 'Id will be the completion of the year." {Ibn Majah #1715 and Ahmad, 37/94}
This is from the grace of ALLĀH upon HIS worshipers; that they obtain the reward of perpetual fasting in a way there is not any difficulty in it. This is the wisdom of it being six days, and ALLĀH knows best.
Therefore, it is befitting that the Muslim fast these six days in order to win this tremendous grace. A sign that an act of obedience has been accepted is its being followed by another act of obedience. Fasting these days is evidence for a person's desire to fast and his love for it, and that it does not bore him and he does not find it burdensome. Fasting is one of the most virtuous deeds, as has preceded.
One of the fruits of optional fasting - similar to other voluntary acts One of the fruits of optional fasting - similar to other voluntary acts of worship is that:
1⃣ It restores deficiencies or shortcomings that might have taken place. Regarding that, the Prophet ﷺ said about salāh,
"The Lord will say: 'Look! Does MY worshiper have any optional acts of worship?" What was deficient in his obligatory şalah will be completed with them. Then the rest of his deeds will be dealt with like that." {Abū Dawūd #864 and Tirmidhi #413}
2⃣ It prepares the Muslim to ascend in degrees of nearness to ALLĀH, the Most High, and win HIS love, as it came in the Hadith Qudsĩ:
"My worshiper does not draw close to ME with anything better than what I obligated upon him; and MY worshiper continues drawing closer to ME through optional acts of worship until I love him..." {al-Bukhari #6502}
- Sheikh Abdullāh ibn Sālih al-Fawzān (may ALLĀH preserve him upon goodness)
📚 Ahadith about Fasting, Rulings and Manners || Page 126-127
May ALLĀH grant us the strength and guidance to remain committed to fasting, prayers, and other righteous actions after Ramadān, and that our condition after Ramadān be a better one.

1⃣ The Arabs before Islam were polytheists, worshiping idols and venerating them.

FAREWELL RAMADĀN
Ramadān, my tears flow for parting, and the heart is feeble from the pain of farewell.
Ramadān, you came while our nights are torn, as for the days, they are occupied with frivolity.
So gather around you noble souls, whose determination is not weakened by discouragement.
They stand in nights with abundant tears, and the hand of generosity adorns them with charity.
They prostrate to their Creator with sincere foreheads, and each one is struck with sighs and lamentation.
O Lord, have mercy, for sins have accumulated, like waves in the depths of seas, advancing.
And forgive a repentant and sincere servant, and accept the prayer of one whose words are bewildered.
YOU are the Responder, and YOU are greater in forgiveness, YOU are the Hearer, even if the caller is ignorant.
My sins, even if they fill the seas, are but little in comparison to YOUR generosity.
Then, peace and blessings upon the Prophet and his family, and his companions, whose inclusion in prayers is accepted.

Tonight is the 30th and the last night of Ramadan. It is likely that it could be Laylatul Qadr.
And it could be the last Ramadan night of your life, so make it the best night you have ever lived.
Furthermore, it is a night that many are heedless of, and worship at times of heedlessness has greater reward.
It is a night which ALLĀH has granted us so that those amongst us who have been doing good may increase in reward, and those who have fallen short may make up for their short comings.
O servant of ALLĀH, make it an excellent farewell.

1⃣ The Prophet ﷺ gathered his family and relatives when the verse was revealed to him:
وَأَنذِرۡ عَشِیرَتَكَ ٱلۡأَقۡرَبِینَ
And warn your closest kindred. {Ash-Shuʿarāʾ: 214}
2⃣ He delivered to them the message of his Lord¹ and warned them of the punishment of a great day:
یَوۡمَ لَا یَنفَعُ مَالࣱ وَلَا بَنُونَ
A day when wealth and children will not avail. {Ash-Shuʿarāʾ: 88}
3⃣ The people spoke softly to him, except his uncle Abū Lahab, who was his fiercest enemy.
4⃣ He (Abū Lahab) rejected the proposal fiercely, and demanded that they seize him. Abū Tālib said to him: 'By ALLĀH, we will protect him as long as we are alive.'
¹ He said to them: "A messenger does not lie to his people. By ALLĀH, if all the people were to lie, I would not lie to you. If all the people were to be deceitful, I would not deceive you. By ALLĀH Whom there is no god but HIM, I am surely a messenger of ALLĀH to you specifically and to the people entirely. By ALLĀH, you will surely die just as you sleep, and you will surely be resurrected just as you awake from sleep. PLACING CHILDREN UNDER ALLĀH'S PROTECTION
Ibn Abbas (may ALLĀH be pleased with them) related that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to seek Refuge with ALLĀH for Al-Hasan and Al-Husain and say: "Your forefather (i.e. Abraham) used to seek Refuge with ALLĀH for Ishmael and Isaac by reciting the following:
أُعِيْذُكُمَا بِكَلِمَاتِ اللّٰهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَّهَامَّةٍ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ

HOW TO SEEK REFUGE WITH THE DUA:
1⃣ It is mentioned once, however if it appears to the one saying this Dua’ that he needs to repeat it without specifying three times, then there is no problem with that.

PART 5⃣: DA'WAH PUBLICLY
1⃣ Da'wah continued secretly for three years, during which many nobles and commoners responded.

"So declare what you have been commanded and turn away from the polytheists" {Al-Hijr: Verse 94}.
3⃣ He ﷺ ascended Mount Safa and called his people. When they gathered, he asked them, "Will you believe me if I tell you something important?" They all replied, "Yes, we have never experienced lying from you since your childhood until now." He then said, "Save yourselves from the Fire! I am a warner to you from a severe punishment."
Upon hearing this, Abu Lahab said to him, "May you perish, O Muhammad! Is this why you gathered us?"

ALLĀH'S MOST BEAUTIFUL NAMES
ALLĀH says;
ALLĀH has the Most Beautiful Names.
Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ said,
Verily, ALLĀH has ninety-nine Names, a hundred less one; whoever counts (and preserves) them, will enter Paradise. ALLĀH is Witr (One) and loves Al-Witr (the odd numbered things).
The Two Sahihs collected this Hadith.
We should state that ALLAH'S Names are not restricted to only ninety-nine. For instance, in his Musnad, Imam Ahmad recorded that Abdullāh bin Mas`ud said that the Messenger of ALLAH ﷺ said;
"Any person who is overcome by sadness or grief and supplicates,

Surely, ALLĀH will remove his grief and sadness and exchange them for delight."
The Prophet ﷺ was asked "O Messenger of ALLĀH! Should we learn these words?"
He ﷺ said,
"Yes. It is an obligation on all those who hear this supplication to learn it."
{Tafsir Ibn Kathīr}
So call upon HIM by them
This includes the supplication of worship and the supplication of asking. So HE is to be called upon for everything that is needed, in a manner that is appropriate to the need in question. So the one who calls upon HIM may say, for example: O ALLĀH, forgive me and have mercy on me, for YOU are the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful. Accept my repentance, O Accepter of repentance. Grant me provision, O Provider. Show me kindness, O Most Kind - and so on.

And when it is said to him, "Fear ALLĀH," pride in the sin takes hold of him. Sufficient for him is Hellfire, and how wretched is the resting place.
And there are those who would dedicate their lives to ALLĀH’s pleasure. And ALLĀH is kind to ˹HIS˺ servants.
O believers! Enter into Islam wholeheartedly and do not follow Satan’s footsteps. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.
But if you deviate after clear proofs have come to you, then know that ALLĀH is Exalted in Might and Wise.
{Al-Baqarah: Verse 206-209}
So by your Lord! WE will surely question them all about what they used to do.
So proclaim what you have been commanded and turn away from the polytheists.
Indeed, WE are sufficient for you against the mockers, who make ˹equal˺ with ALLĀH another deity. They will soon come to know.
And WE certainly know that your heart is truly distressed by what they say.
So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate ˹to HIM˺.
And worship your Lord until the certainty (i.e death) comes to you.
{Al-Hijr: Verse 92-99}
SUMMARY OF SĪRAH
SECTION 2⃣
PART 3⃣: DA'WAH IN SECRET
1⃣ The Prophet ﷺ began his da'wah secretly when the revelation ˹of the following˺ came to him:
یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلۡمُدَّثِّرُ ۞ قُمۡ فَأَنذِرۡ ۞ وَرَبَّكَ فَكَبِّرۡ ۞ وَثِیَابَكَ فَطَهِّرۡ ۞ وَٱلرُّجۡزَ فَٱهۡجُرۡ ۞ وَلَا تَمۡنُن تَسۡتَكۡثِرُ ۞ وَلِرَبِّكَ فَٱصۡبِرۡ
O you enveloped in garments, arise and warn, and magnify your Lord, and purify your garments, and ˹continue to˺ shun idols. And do not confer favor to acquire more. And be patient for the sake of your Lord!
{Al-Muddaththir: 1-7}
2⃣ He called upon his family and those among his close friends who believed in his sincerity.
3⃣ He invited them to worship ALLĀH alone, to be kind to people, to unite, and to abstain from war.
4⃣ He started the call secretly, fearing that people might be surprised by something they did not know or hear about before.

THE BELIEVERS NEVER DESPAIR OF ALLĀH'S MERCY
ALLĀH tells what Yaqub said to his children:
يَا بَنِيَّ اذْهَبُواْ فَتَحَسَّسُواْ مِن يُوسُفَ وَأَخِيهِ وَلَا تَيْأَسُواْ مِن رَّوْحِ اللّهِ
"O my sons! Go you and inquire about Yusuf and his brother, and do not lose hope in the mercy of ALLĀH
For hope makes a person try hard to achieve what he hopes for, whereas despair leads to apathy and giving up. The best that people can hope for is the grace, kindness and mercy of ALLĀH.
For no one loses hope in ALLĀH'S mercy except the disbelieving people.
for - because of their disbelief - they think it unlikely that HE will bestow mercy upon them and they think HIS mercy is far off, so do not be like the disbelievers.
This indicates that a person’s hope of the mercy of ALLĀH will be commensurate with the level of his faith.

SUNNAH FASTS IN SHAWWĀL
SUGGESTED 6 DAY PLANS TO FAST (PLAN 1⃣)
“Whoever fasts Ramadan and follows it with six days of Shawwal , it will be as if he fasted for a lifetime.”
(Narrated by Muslim, Abu Dawud, al-Tirmidhi, al-Nasai and Ibn Majah)
PARABLE OF THE ONE LACKING IN RELIGIOUS COMMITMENT
ALLĀH says,
And do not be like the one who undoes the thread which she has spun, after it has become strong.
By breaking your covenants, like the worst example that is most indicative of the foolishness of the one who breaks his covenant, which is the likeness of the woman who spins a strong thread, then when it has become strong as expected, she undoes it and breaks it into strands, because she got tired of spinning it, then when she undid it she got tired again, so she did not gain anything except frustration, tiredness, foolishness and lack of reasoning. This is like the one who breaks the covenant he made: he is a wrongdoer and a fool who is lacking in religious commitment and dignity.
