SHOW FORGIVENESS, ENJOIN GOODNESS, AND IGNORE THE IGNORANT

ALLĀH says:
خُذِ الْعَفْوَ
Show forgiveness

This verse is a comprehensive summary that tells one, in a concise way, how to interact with people in the best manner; he should take people as they appear to be and adopt an easy-going approach, by accepting them as they are, with whatever they have to offer of deeds and characteristics. He should not expect more from them than they are able to do; rather he should appreciate whatever he sees of good words and deeds, and whatever is less than that, and overlook their shortcomings. He should not look down on the minor because he is young, or on one who is lacking in reason for his shortcomings, or on one who is poor because of his poverty. Rather he should treat everyone with kindness and respond kindly to each person as is appropriate to his nature and situation, with an open heart and mind.

وَأْمُرْ بِالْعُرْفِ
enjoin what is good

that is, enjoin all good words, good deeds and good attitudes, addressed to close associates and strangers alike; ensure that whatever reaches people from you is either: teaching knowledge; encouraging good, such as upholding ties of kinship or honouring parents; reconciling people; beneficial advice; sound opinions; help in righteousness and piety; discouraging abhorrent deeds; or guiding to that which will attain some good purpose, be it spiritual or worldly.

وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ الْجَاهِلِينَ
and turn away from the ignorant.

As it is not possible to avoid the harm of the ignorant, ALLĀH instructs us to turn away from the ignorant one and not to respond to his ignorance; whoever harms you in word or deed, do not harm him in response; do not deprive the one who deprives you; whoever cuts you off, uphold ties with him; and whoever wrongs you, be fair towards him.

A LIFE BETTER THAN THE LIVES OF KINGS.

Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyya (رحمه الله) said:

"Rushing towards ALLAAH ﷻ and depending on HIM, being pleased with HIM, filling the heart with love of HIM, constantly remembering HIM, feeling happiness and joy with knowing HIM – all of these are instantaneous rewards, a paradise of this world, and a life that the lives of kings cannot even compare to."

[al-Waabil as-Sayyib’: Page 44]

PRACTICAL NOTES

- Prioritize seeking closeness to ALLĀH.

- Find joy in undertaking religious obligations, fostering a sense of fulfillment and purpose.

- Acknowledge that true success and happiness lies in amassing deeds that please ALLĀH, not from acquiring material possessions.

- Seek guidance through supplication and reliance on ALLĀH in times of need.

Indeed, my protector is ALLĀH, who has sent down the Book; and He is an ally to the righteous.

But those you call upon besides HIM are unable to help you, nor can they help themselves.

And if you invite them to guidance, they do not hear; and you see them looking at you while they do not see.

Show forgiveness, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the ignorant.

If an evil suggestion comes to you from Satan, then seek refuge in ALLĀH. Indeed, HE is Hearing and Knowing.

ALLĀH DOES NOT LIKE THE ARROGANT

ALLĀH said,

إِنَّ اللّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالاً فَخُورًا
Surely ALLĀH does not like whoever is arrogant and boastful

meaning, one who is proud and arrogant, insolent and boasts to others. He thinks that he is better than other people, thus thinking high of himself, even though he is insignificant to ALLĀH and hated by people.

Mujahid said that;
فَخُورًا
(boastful) means boasting about what he has, while he does not thank ALLĀH.

This Ayah indicates that such a person boasts with people about the bounty that ALLĀH has given him, but he is actually ungrateful to ALLĀH for this bounty.

Once a man asked the Prophet ﷺ: "O Messenger of ALLĀH, advise me.'

The Prophet ﷺ said: "Avoid lengthening the dress (below the ankles), for this practice is from arrogance. Verily, ALLĀH does not like arrogance."

{Tafsi‌r Ibn Kathīr}

Abdullāh ibn Mas’ud reported: The Prophet ﷺ said: "No one who has the weight of a seed of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise."

A man said, "But a man likes to have nice clothes and nice shoes."

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Verily, ALLĀH is beautiful and HE loves beauty. Arrogance is to disregard the truth and to look down upon people."

Say (O Prophet), “I I hold not for myself ˹the power of˺ benefit or harm, except what ALLĀH has willed. If I had known the unseen, I would have benefited myself enormously, and no harm would have ever touched me. I am only a warner and deliverer of good news for those who believe.”

HE is the One Who created you from a single soul, then from it made its spouse so he may find comfort in her. After he had been united with her, she carried a light burden (i.e., a pregnancy) that developed gradually. When it grew heavy, they prayed to ALLĀH, their Lord, “If YOU grant us good offspring, we will certainly be grateful.”

But when HE gives them a good ˹child˺, they ascribe partners to HIM concerning that which HE has given them. Exalted is ALLĀH above what they associate with HIM.

Do they associate with HIM those who create nothing and they are ˹themselves˺ created?

VIRTUE OF SEEKING FORGIVENESS FOR THE BELIEVERS

ALLĀH said:

رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِمَن دَخَلَ بَيْتِيَ مُوْمِنًا
(Nūh said) My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house a believer,

Ad-Dahhak said, "This means, my Masjid."

However, there is no harm in understanding the Ayah according to its apparent meaning, which would be that he supplicated for every person who entered his house who was a believer.

Then he said,

وَلِلْمُوْمِنِينَ وَالْمُوْمِنَاتِ
and all the believing men and women.

He supplicated for all of the believing men and women, and that includes those of them who were living and those of them who were dead. For this reason, it is recommended to supplicate like this, in following the example of Nuh, and that which has been reported in the narrations and well-known, legislated supplications.

{Tafsi‌r Ibn Kathīr}

Ubadah ibn al-Samit reported: The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) said, "Whoever seeks forgiveness for the believing men and women, ALLĀH will record a good deed for him by each man and woman."

{Musnad al-Sha‌mi‌yi‌n lil-T‌abarani #2118}

Abu Hurayrah reported: When the Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) offered the funeral prayer he would say:

O ALLĀH forgive our living and our dead, those who are with us and those who are absent, our young and our old, our menfolk and our womenfolk. O ALLĀH, whomever you give life from among us give him life in Islam, and whomever you take way from us take him away in Faith. O ALLĀH, do not forbid us their reward and do not send us astray after them.

Allaahum-maghfir lihayyinaa, wa mayyitinaa, wa shaahidinaa, wa ghaa'ibinaa, wa sagheerinaa wa kabeerinaa, wa thakarinaa wa 'unthaanaa. Allaahumma man 'ahyaytahu minnaa fa'ahyihi 'alal-'Islaami, wa man tawaffaytahu minnaa fatawaffahu 'alal-'eemaani, Allaahumma laa tahrimnaa 'ajrahu wa laa tudhillanaa ba'dahu.

Presented to the reader is the book. al-Furqan bayna awliya ar-Rahman wa awliya’ ash-Shaytan’' at a time in which Shaytan has overcome the majority of mankind and knowledge of the differences between the awliya’ of the Most Merciful and the awliya of Shaytan is seldom found.’

In it, the author explained, in detail, the most important differences between the two categories of awhya’, tackling the subject from various different angles and thoroughly refuting those who have gone astray in this matter. He discussed the issue of miracles and furnished the principles he laid out with examples of miracles performed by both groups of the awliya’. Furthermore, he clarified some of the most important aspects of the Muslim belief, in all of this depending entirely upon the Book, Sunnah and understanding of the Salaf.

THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT AND THE FLEEING OF THE PEOPLE FROM THEIR RELATIVES DURING IT

ALLĀH said:

يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ الْمَرْءُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ وَأُمِّهِۦ وَأَبِيهِ وَصَٰحِبَتِهِۦ وَبَنِيهِ

On the Day a man will flee from his brother, and his mother and his father, and his wife and his children,

meaning, he will see them and then flee from them, and seek to get away from them because horror will be so great and the matter will be so weighty.

There is an authentic Hadith related concerning the intercession that states that every one of the great Messengers of firm resolve will be requested to intercede with ALLĀH on behalf of the creation, but each of them will say: "O myself! O myself! Today I will not ask YOU (O ALLĀH) concerning anyone but myself."

Even `Isa bin Maryam will say: "I will not ask HIM (ALLĀH) concerning anyone but myself today. I will not even ask Maryam, the woman who gave birth to me."

ALLĀH said:

لِكُلِّ امْرِيٍ مِّنْهُمْ يَوْمَيِذٍ شَأْنٌ يُغْنِيهِ
For every man, that Day, will be a matter adequate for him.

meaning, he will be preoccupied in his business and distracted from the affairs of others.

Ibn Abi Hatim recorded from Ibn Abbas that the Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ said: "You will all be gathered barefoot, naked, walking and uncircumcised."

So his wife said, "O Messenger of ALLĀH! Will we look at or see each other's nakedness"

The Prophet ﷺ replied: "Every man among them on that Day will have enough (worries) to make him careless of others --

or he said: he will be too busy to look.

When man suffers some affliction, he cries out to US; then when WE bestow on him a favor from US, he says, "I have only been given it because of  ˹my˺ knowledge." Rather, it is a trial, but most of them do not know.

Those before them had already said it, but they were not availed by what they used to earn.

And the evil consequences of what they earned struck them. And those who have wronged of these  ˹people˺ will be afflicted by the evil consequences of what they earned; and they will have no escape.

Do they not know that ALLĀH gives abundant or limited provisions to whoever HE wills ? Indeed in that are signs for people who believe.

He ﷺ also said: "Whoever abandoned the ‘Asr prayer, all his good deeds will be annulled."

This is the punishment for someone who misses one obligatory prayer, so what about someone who is used to abandoning prayer?!

There is no doubt that the loss will be great unless ALLĀH includes him under HIS mercy.

BENEFITS:

1⃣ These verses contain good news for the Muslims who follow the path of their Prophet ﷺ: ALLĀH will help them as he helped his prophet and his allies. {Al-mokhtasar fi Tafsir al-Qur’a‌n}

2⃣ Explanation regarding why idols whom the disbelievers worship besides ALLĀH do not deserve any worship at all, because they cannot do anything to help themselves or to help their worshippers; they have no ability to think or respond. {As-Sa'di}

3⃣ The traits of good character that a believer should possess include forgiving those who wrong them, giving to those who deny them something, and mending relations with those who break them. {Al-mokhtasar fi Tafsir al-Qur’a‌n}

4⃣ It is necessary to seek refuge in ALLĀH when feeling obsessiveness, anger, or the adornment of falsehood. {Abu Bakr al-Jazairi}

5⃣ Indication that seeking refuge with the tongue is of no benefit unless knowledge of the meaning of seeking refuge is present in the heart. It is as if ALLĀH said: Mention the word of seeking refuge with your tongue, for I am Hearing. Recall the meanings of seeking refuge with your mind and heart, for I know what is in your heart. In reality, verbal speech without the acknowledgement of the heart is useless and of no effect. {Faqruddīn Al-Rāzī}

WHAT TO DO FOR A DYING PERSON

When death approaches a person, those in his presence are required to do certain things, as described as follows:

1⃣ He should be gently but firmly prompted to utter the Shahadah (La ilāha illa-Allāh).

Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri narrated that: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Exthort your dying to say: 'La illāha illa-Allāh (None has the right to be worshipped but ALLĀH)'"

{Muslim #916 and others}

Mu’adh ibn Jabal reported: The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) said, "He whose last words are La illāha illa-Allāh (None has the right to be worshipped but ALLĀH), will enter Paradise."

{Abu Dāwūd #3116}

2⃣ The prompting should be done by commanding him and helping him to utter it himself.

Anas reported that ALLAH’S Messenger (ﷺ) visited a dying man of the Ansar and said to him: "0 my maternal uncle! Say, 'Laa ilāha illa-ALlāh' The man asked, 'Am I your maternal or paternal uncle?' The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, 'Maternal' He asked, 'Is it good for me to say, Laa ilāha illa-ALlāh'. He (ﷺ) replied, 'Yes!'"

{Ahmad #12543}

3⃣ Supplication should be sincerely made for him and to say good things that give him glad tidings.

Umm Salamah reported that ALLAH’S Messenger (ﷺ) said: "When you are present with a sick or dying person, say good things, because the angels endorse what you say (by saying amin)."

Umm Salamah added that when Abu Salamah died, she went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and told him, "O ALLĀH's Messenger (ﷺ)! Abu Salamah has passed away." He instructed her to say:

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلَهُ وَأَعْقِبْنِي مِنْهُ عُقْبَى حَسَنَةً

O ALLĀH! forgive me and him (Abu Salamah) and give me a better substitute than he.

So I said (this), and ALLĀH gave me in exchange Muhammad, who is better for me than him (Abu Salamah).

{Muslim #919}

4⃣ It is permissible for a Muslim to visit a dying disbeliever in other to call them to Islam.

Anas reported that a Jewish youth used to serve the Prophet (ﷺ). He (ﷺ) visited him in his fatal illness, sat by his head, and said to him, "Embrace Islam; embrace Islam!" The boy looked at his father (as if to take his permission), and he told him, “Obey Abu al-Qasim!” So he did, and then died. The Prophet (ﷺ) departed saying: "All praise be to ALLĀH who has saved him from the Fire."

He then commanded his companions: "Pray janazah for your companions."

THE CAUSE OF AFFLICTION IS SIN

ALLAH says:

وَمَا أَصَابَكُم مِّن مُّصِيبَةٍ فَبِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ
Whatever affliction befalls you is because of what your own hands have committed.

Here ALLĀH tells us that no calamity befalls people, affecting their health, property, children and what they love and is dear to them, but it is because of what their own hands have sent forth of evil deeds

وَيَعْفُو عَن كَثِيرٍ
And HE pardons much.

what ALLĀH pardons is much more than that. ALLĀH does not wrong people; rather they wrong themselves.

{Tafsi‌r As-Sa'di}

AlBaseerah Qur'an Institute

Sins eat away at our good deeds, and the heavier they become on our scale of deeds, the higher a person’s chances of being punished in the hereafter. Part of what reverses this balance in scale is sincere repentance to ALLĀH. It is a recognition of our wrongdoing and a sincere promise to strive to stay away from the sin.

When you repent to ALLĀH and seek HIS forgiveness, you are wiping your scales clean of sins as much as possible. And know that HE has promised that as long as a servant continues to sincerely repent and seek HIS forgiveness, HE will forgive.

And whoever does a wrong or wrongs himself but then seeks forgiveness of ALLĀH will find ALLĀH Forgiving and Merciful. {An-Nisā: 110}

Shaytān might try to tempt you away from seeking forgiveness, don't fall for it, make istighfār, and if ALLĀH wills, you will be forgiven. The Prophet (‎ﷺ) said: “Glad tidings to those who find a lot of seeking forgiveness in the record of their deeds.” [Ibn Majah #3818]

TRUE BELIEVERS SHALL BE SUPERIOR

ALLĀH says, encouraging HIS believing slaves, strengthening their resolve and raising their spirits:

وَلَا تَهِنُواْ وَلَا تَحۡزَنُواْ
So do not weaken or grieve

that is, do not weaken physically, and do not let your hearts be filled with grief because of the calamity that has befallen you and the trial you have gone through. Grief in the heart and physical weakness will only make the calamity worse for you and give your enemy an advantage over you. Rather you should be of good courage and be steadfast, ward off grief and strengthen your resolve to fight your enemy.

Here ALLĀH tells them that it is not appropriate or befitting for them to lose heart and feel grief when they will overcome by virtue of their faith and hope of the support and reward of ALLĀH. The believer who is certain of what ALLĀH has promised of reward in this world and the hereafter should not feel like that. Hence ALLĀH says:

وَأَنتُمُ ٱلۡأَعۡلَوۡنَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
For you will be superior if you are ˹true˺ believers.

ALLĀH has bestowed countless blessings upon us. HE has endowed us with the gifts of sight and hearing, intellect, health, wealth and family.

However, all these blessings will cease to exist when our short worldly life comes to an end. The only blessing that is bound to bring about happiness and tranquillity in this life and eternal bliss in the hereafter is the blessing of being a Muslim, which is undeniably the greatest blessing ALLĀH has ever bestowed upon us.

Ibn al-Qayyim said: "Whoever doesn't see the favour of ALLĀH upon him except in providing him with food and clothing, in his good health, and in being respected amongst people, then he has no share in this light. For the favor of ALLĀH in guiding HIS slaves to Islam and faith, bringing them to come forth to HIM, enjoying HIS remembrance and taking pleasure in obeying to HIM, is the greatest favor." {Madarij as-Salikeen 1/164}

How great ALLĀH’s blessings upon us are! HE has taken us out of the darkness of ignorance into the light of faith and guided us to the true religion, bearing the testimony of faith, Laa ilaaha illa Allāh (There is no god worthy of worship except ALLĀH), with which HE has sent all HIS Prophets.

To continue benefiting from such immense blessing, we need to express gratefulness to ALLĀH for bestowing such favor upon us by adhering to Islam, inwardly and outwardly, and patiently enduring all the hardships that come one’s way.

THE COMMAND TO MARRY AND ALLĀH'S PROMISE TO ENRICH THE ONE SEEKING CHASTITY THROUGH MARRIAGE

These clear Ayat include a group of unambiguous rulings and firm commands.

وَأَنكِحُوا الاْأَيَامَى مِنكُمْ
And marry the unmarried among you

This is a command to marry.

The Prophet ﷺ said: "O young men, whoever among you can afford to get married, let him marry, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and protecting the private parts. Whoever cannot do that, then let him fast, for it is a protection for him."

This was recorded in the Two Sahihs from the Hadith of Ibn Masud.

In the Sunan, it was recorded from more than one person that the Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ said: "Marry and have children, for I will be proud of you before the nations on the Day of Resurrection."

وَالصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ عِبَادِكُمْ وَإِمَايِكُمْ
And the righteous among your male slaves and female slaves.

إِن يَكُونُوا فُقَرَاء يُغْنِهِمُ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ
If they are poor, ALLĀH will enrich them out of HIS bounty.

Ali bin Abi Talhah reported from Ibn Abbas: "ALLĀH encouraged them to get married, commanded both free men and servants to get married, and HE promised to enrich them."

It was recorded that Ibn Masud said:
"Seek the richness through marriage, for ALLĀH says:

وَالصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ عِبَادِكُمْ وَإِمَايِكُمْ
If they be poor, ALLĀH will enrich them out of His bounty"
{Ibn Jarir}

It was reported from Al-Layth from Muhammad bin Ajlan from Sa`id Al-Maqburi from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ said: "There are three whom it is a right upon ALLĀH to help: one who gets married seeking chastity; a slave who makes a contract with his master with the aim of buying his freedom; and one who fights for the sake of ALLĀH."

This was recorded by Imam Ahmad, At-Tirmidhi, An-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah.

The Prophet performed the marriage of a man who owned nothing but his waist wrap, and could not even buy a ring made of iron, but he still married him to that woman, making the Mahr his promise to teach her whatever he knew of the Qur'an.

And it is known from the generosity and kindness of ALLĀH that HE provided him with whatever was sufficient for her and for him.

THE SUNNAH OF DUHĀ PRAYER: ITS VIRTUE, WHEN AND HOW IT SHOULD BE PRAYED

1⃣ The Duhā prayer is a Sunnah prayer with great virtue, encouraged by ALLĀH’s Messenger (ﷺ) for his Companions and the believers

It was narrated from Abu Dharr (may ALLĀH be pleased with him), from the Prophet (ﷺ) that he said: "In the morning a charity is due from every joint of one of you. Every tasbeehah is a charity, every tahmeedah is a charity, every tahleelah is a charity, every takbeerah is a charity, enjoining what is good is a charity, forbidding what is evil is a charity, and two rak‘ahs offered in the forenoon (Duha) will suffice for that."

{Muslim #1181}

An-Nawawi (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said: "The words of the Prophet (ﷺ) 'and two rak‘ahs offered in the forenoon (Duha) will suffice for that' are indicative of the great virtue of Duha and how important it is, and that it may be offered with two rak‘ahs."

{Sharh Muslim by an-Nawawi}

2⃣ Duhā prayer time begins 20 minutes after sunrise. It's better to pray it prayer after the sun’s heat has become intense.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "It is preferable to offer Duhā prayer when the sun’s heat has become so intense that even the young of the camels feel it"

{Muslim #748}

The scholars defined this as being when one-quarter of the day has passed, i.e., halfway between sunrise and Dhuhr prayer.

{Al-Majmu’ by al-Nawawi, 4/36}

3⃣ It's time ends until just before noon (Dhuhr).

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymin (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) says: "... ˹The time for the Duha prayer ends˺ ten minutes before Zhur prayer.

{Al-Sharh al-Mumti’, 4/122}

4⃣ The minimum is two rak’ahs with one tasleem, but one can pray four, six, eight, or more.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "…and two rak’ahs offered in the forenoon (Duhā) will suffice for that."

{Muslim #720}

Shaykh Ibn Baz (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said: "The minimum – for Duha – is two rak‘ahs, and there is no maximum number. But the Prophet (ﷺ) prayed two and four rak‘ahs, and on the day of the conquest of Makkah, he prayed Duha with eight rak‘ahs, on the day on which ALLĀH granted him the conquest of Makkah. So this matter is broad in scope. Whether a person prays eight or ten or twelve rak‘ahs, or more than that, or less, there is nothing wrong with it, because the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The (Sunnah) prayers of the night and day are two (rak‘ahs) by two." The Sunnah is to pray two by two, saying the salam after each two rak‘ahs."

{Majmu‘ Fatawa Ibn Baz, 11/389}

4⃣ There is no specific surah mentioned in the Sunnah regarding the Duhā prayer. Recite whatever is easy of the Qur'an after Surah al-fathia in Duhā prayers.

The Duhā prayer comes with an amazing reward! ALLĀH promises to suffice us on every day that we pray four Rak'ah to begin that day.

It was narrated from Abu’d-Darda’ and Abu Dharr (may ALLĀH be pleased with them both) from the Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ), from ALLĀH, may HE be glorified and exalted, that HE said: "O son of Adam, pray four rak‘ahs to ME at the beginning of the day, and I shall suffice you at the end of the day."

{at-Tirmidhi #437}

Scholars say this refers to the Duhā prayer.

May ALLĀH make us of those who are consistent in praying Duhā!

Ramaḍān is near, a sacred light,

Shaytan flees, in silent flight.

Your bad habits, let them gently sway,

For blessings bloom in fasting's stay.

LIFE OF PEOPLE OF TRUTH

All deeds must be done for the sake of ALLĀH. HE has eliminated your need for any of the creation and brought you all goodness.

Beware of turning away from HIM in order to fulfill a whim or for the sake of any of the creation, because HE will turn things against you and make you forego your desire.

The hadith states, “Whoever satisfied people through the dissatisfaction of ALLĀH, ALLĀH will turn those who praise him against him.” [Tirmidhi, 2414]

The best life is the life of one who conscientiously lives with ALLĀH (the Almighty). If someone asks, “How does he live with HIM?”

I say, “By adhering to HIS commands and refraining from HIS prohibitions; preserving HIS limits, accepting HIS decree, showing etiquette in solitude, making frequent remembrance of HIM and having a heart clear of objecting to HIS decisions.”

If you are in need, ask from HIM; if he gives, then it is good—otherwise you must accept it and know that HE did not with hold out of miserliness, but out of concern in looking out for your best interest.

Do not stop asking HIM because it is a form of worship; and when you persist in asking, HE will instill within you love for HIM and a true dependence on Him. This love will guide you towards the purpose and will yield its fruits; leading you to live the life of people of truth.

No other life is better as most people stumble around their lives, hiding worldly reasons and inclining towards them with their hearts. They exhaust themselves in earning a living with extreme caution, incline towards people and are dismayed upon missing any desires. HIS Decree will come to pass unconcerned with one’s dissatisfaction, for nothing happens therein except what is fated.

These people missed being near to ALLĀH, loving HIM and displaying noble etiquette with HIM; such a life is the life of animals.

SUCCESS COMES FROM ALLĀH ALONE

ALLĀH said:

وَمَا تَوۡفِيقِىٓ إِلَّا بِٱللَّهِ
And my success comes only through ALLĀH.

That is, whatever I succeed in of doing good and whatever I manage to keep away from of evil is only by the help of ALLĀH and not by my own strength and power.

عَلَيۡهِ تَوَكَّلۡتُ
In HIM I put my trust

That is, I rely on HIM in all my affairs and I am certain that HE will suffice me.

وَإِلَيۡهِ أُنِيبُ
And to HIM I turn.

In doing what HE has enjoined upon me of various acts of worship, and in growing close to HIM by means of all kinds of good deeds.

Based on these two things, a person’s well-being will be sound: seeking the help of his Lord and turning to HIM.

O MY servants who have believed, indeed MY earth is spacious, so worship only ME.

Every soul will taste death. Then to US will you be returned.

And those who have believed and done righteous deeds -  WE will certainly house them in ˹elevated˺ mansions in Paradise, under which rivers flow, to stay there forever. Excellent is the reward of the ˹righteous˺ workers.

Those who have been patient and and put their trust in their Lord!
