To be loyal means you’re faithful and trustworthy. It means you can be trusted to carry out whatever assignment you’re given excellently, even if no one’s watching you.
David was just a young boy when He was chosen by the Lord to be king. The Lord didn’t choose him because of his great looks or strength, but because he had a perfect heart. In other words, David was loyal.
Therefore, learn to be loyal like David, in doing your assignments and chores. Remember, the Lord rewards loyalty, He’ll surely reward you for being loyal!

Do you know what it means to be blessed of God? It means you’ve been given the power to prosper and succeed in everything you do, and every time. That was what happened to you when you were born again.
Remember Isaac? The Lord blessed him greatly such that in the middle of a severe famine, his “crops were tremendous—100 times the grain he sowed…” (Genesis 26:12 TLB).
You’ve been specially blessed by the Lord too. This blessing will make you to shine, prosper, and be excellent in all you do. Hallelujah!

Prudence is such an important virtue every child of God should have. When you’re prudent, you’re sensible and have the ability to make the right decisions always.
Solomon was both a wise and prudent king. He could have spent his wealth on other things, but he rather chose to use it to build God a house (2 Chronicles 2:12).
The way to be prudent is through God’s Word. The more time you spend studying your Bible, the wiser you get, and the more prudent you’ll become.

God has given you an excellent spirit; that means it’s possible for you to have an excellent character.
Remember Daniel? He had an excellent spirit, and he developed an excellent character (Daniel 6:1- 10). Daniel’s character made him stand out, and he was promoted because of that.
You can develop an excellent character just like Daniel. How? By doing all your assignments and chores with excellence. Go over your work carefully, and diligently check it so as to be sure there are no errors in it. When you keep at this, you’ll always stand out wherever you are.

God’s Word is the rock upon which we ought to build our lives. It is strong, firm and will never fail.
Make up your mind today to build your life on God’s Word. How? By spending quality time studying, meditating, and declaring what the Word has said about you. You can trust it to build you up!

There’s an inspiring story of a young king of Israel in the Bible. His name was Jehoshaphat. King Jehoshaphat was in a tight situation when his whole kingdom was surrounded by a very powerful army. Do you know what he did? He turned to God for help.
King Jehoshaphat knew and believed in God’s help. He knew that God would deliver him, and God surely did.
Is there something you need help with today? Maybe you’ve asked everyone around you and no one seems to know how to help you. I know One person that can help you. His name is Jesus; He’s your very present help in times of need. Hallelujah!

I love today’s memory verse. It shows the need to have the right attitude during challenging times. That is, you’re joyful when your faith is tested because it’ll produce patience.
So, if you’ve been having challenges in school or in your health, and it seems like it’s taking a while to get a miracle, don’t give up; strengthen your faith with the Word and maintain the right confession.
And always remember that God’s promises to you are ‘Yes and Amen’ (2 Corinthians 1:20).

Salt has two major uses: it can be used to make food tastier, and it can also be used to preserve the food so it doesn’t go bad. The Bible says you’re the salt of the earth. This means God wants you to help people become better and stop things from going bad. Isn’t that awesome?
Therefore, refuse to allow things break or go bad around you. Always be involved in making things around you better, and learn to speak words of blessing to everything and everyone.
Let your faith in Christ be seen in your words and actions, and keep things around you from going bad.

Do you know you have the power to change things in your country? Yes you do! You received this power the moment you received the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8). You don’t have to be the president or governor to change things around you; you can make changes from where you are through prayer.
The Bible tells us about the Prophet Elijah who was just like any of us. He prayed for his nation, and caused changes through his prayers (James 5:16-18). Hallelujah!
Today, you have in you something much more than what Elijah had: you have the Holy Spirit living in you. Therefore, put His power which is in you to work today, and make your country better through your prayers.

Habits are formed over a period of time. For example, it’s a habit to brush your teeth every morning before going to school. In the same way, you should make a habit of praying. The Lord Jesus said, “…men always ought to pray…” (Luke 18:1). In other words, make it a habit to pray often.
Prayer is fellowship with God, where you’re talking to and with Him. It’s during such times that God guides you through His Word.
As a ministry, we have several prayer programs; ask your parents and guardians how you can be a part of them.

Also, make it a habit to keep your surroundings clean and speak kindly to people, especially the elderly. This shows you’re different and excellent.

When the Lord changed Abraham’s name from ‘Abram’ to ‘Abraham’, Abraham immediately begun calling himself by his new name. It really didn’t matter to him what people called him, what mattered was what God called him.
Never get sad or angry when people call you names. What they’ve called you doesn’t count so, don’t listen to them. What really matters is what God has said about you in His Word. He calls you blessed, fruitful, productive, intelligent, healthy and precious in His Word. Hallelujah!
Remind yourself every day of God’s Word because that is what counts. Glory to God!

The Lord desires for you to “…grow up in all things into Him who is the head— Christ—” (Ephesians 4:15). Glory to God! The Word of God is the only spiritual food that your spirit needs to grow strong and healthy.
So, go for the Word, study it, meditate on it and talk to others about it. That’s how to feed your spirit and grow up in Christ. Hallelujah!

Some children will do anything to get the attention and praise of friends or those they admire. Sometimes, they’d lie, cheat or even steal to get their love and respect. Don’t be like that.
David watched over his father’s sheep and protected them against a lion and bear without expecting a reward from anyone. But God saw him and rewarded his diligence by promoting him to be king.
The praise and acceptance of God is more important than those of your friends’. So, do whatever you do well, be sincere and honest, only with the aim to please your heavenly Father

And when you’re all grown up, He’ll still love you because you’re still His child.

The moment you made Jesus the Lord of your life, you became a brand-new person (2 Corinthians 5:17)! Hallelujah! Wow!
You received the life of Christ. This life made the Lord Jesus different from everyone else while He was on earth. He talked and acted differently such that those around Him asked in amazement, ‘what manner of man is this’ (Matthew 8:27).
Guess what? This same Spirit that made Jesus different from everyone is in you! That means you can’t catch the flu like others even if it’s the ‘flu season’, and you know what’s more, you can’t fail! Glory to God!

As a child of God, prayer is so important to you. Prayer prepares your spirit to receive from God. Prayer changes you; it makes you more sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
Jesus always prayed while He was on earth even though He was hundred per cent God in human flesh. He prayed because of the impact prayer had on His spirit. Whenever Jesus would finish praying, tremendous miracles always happened afterwards.
When you pray, you activate the power of God in your life. Be a child of prayer, and you’ll see more miracles take place in your life.

As Christians, it’s our responsibility to see to it that everyone gets to hear the gospel of Christ. The gospel of Christ is the “good news”. The Bible calls it ‘the good news’.
It is the good news of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection, which was done for us all. The gospel brings hope, it turns sinners to Christ and it can soften any heart. It is God’s only way of saving everyone.
Be bold to share the gospel wherever you are, for it is the great news of God’s mercy and salvation to the world.

David was just a young boy when his father sent him to give food to his brothers on the battlefield. When he got there, he heard a giant challenging the Israelites. He didn’t run away in fear, but was moved to do something about it. Miraculously, David defeated the giant, and won a great victory for his people and country.
As God’s child, you should be excited at every opportunity to render service to your school, neighbourhood or even country. Don’t consider how small the task may be: do whatever it is diligently and with joy. As you do, the Lord will bless you and lift you higher.

I’m sure you’ve been learning a lot from God’s Word in our special series on “What You Need To Know About The Events of The Last Days.” In this edition, you’ll learn about “The Second Coming Of Christ.” Sure, you’re ready; let’s see it!
The Second Coming Of Christ: 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12; Matthew 24:21-29; Revelation 19:11- 14; Revelation 22:20.
Many Christians mix up the Rapture of the Church with the Second Coming of Christ. However, there’s a great difference between them. The Second Coming of Christ will happen at the end of the seven years of The Great Tribulation. Remember, the Rapture of the Church would have taken place before the Great.
Tribulation. So, the Rapture of the Church isn’t the Second Coming of Christ! The following are some biblical facts you need to know about the Second Coming of Christ, which also differentiate it from the Rapture of the Church.
1. The Second Coming of Christ will mark the end of the great tribulation (Matthew 24:29).
2. Unlike the Rapture of the Church, the whole world will see Jesus Christ return at His Second Coming (Revelation 1:7).
3. At the Second Coming, the Lord Jesus Christ will be in the air for a whole day (Revelation 1:7; Colossians 3:4).
4. The Lord Jesus Christ will return with all His saints and angels at His Second Coming (1 Thessalonians 3:13; Matthew 16:27).
5. The Lord Jesus Christ will return to judge the sinners and the wicked people in the world at His Second Coming (Revelation 19:11-14; Acts 2:19-20).

Every time you study or you’re taught the Word, you’re really looking into the mirror of God. The image you see in the mirror is who you really are.
For example, the Word says “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:37). It means no matter what comes your way, you shouldn’t fret because you’re already a victor. Glory to God.
There’s so much in the Word of God about your new identity in Christ. Therefore, study it diligently and meditate on what it says.

Life is full of choices. From when you wake up in the morning till you go to bed at night, each day presents you with choices.
Each choice you make is important. For example, being born again is an important choice we all made. This choice separated you to a life of glory and blessing.
Now that you’ve received this beautiful life in Christ, it’s your choice to live according to the Word. Therefore, choose to keep studying God’s Word, and paying attention to His guidance. That’s what it takes to make the right choices always.

Today’s opening scripture was God’s promise to Abraham. This promise was fulfilled, and as the seed of Abraham, you’re a partaker of it too. That means you’re a blessing, and a distributor of His blessings (Romans 4:16).
Remember Joseph; he was a carrier and distributor of God’s blessing even as a slave in Potiphar’s house (Genesis 39:5).
So, refuse to look down on yourself; you’re a distributor of God’s blessings. And because of you, your family, school, nation, and everything around you is blessed.
