Daniel kept good friends, and they were of great help to him. When he needed help, he told his friends to pray with him; because they did, they got the solution he needed. What great friends Daniel had!
As God’s child, it’s important you have the right friends. So, keep friends that will encourage you to take your studies seriously, and inspire you in the things of God.

It is possible for you to wrong others as you relate with them. You may upset them either by what you say or do. It’s even possible that you did it unknowingly.
If this happens, you should be humble to admit you’re wrong and apologise. It’s a virtue you should show as God’s child. It’s the right thing to do.
The fact that you’re the first to apologise doesn’t mean you’re small or weak. It only shows that you’re gentle and humble as God’s Word wants you to be.

Whenever the Lord does something for you, no matter how small it may seem, tell everyone about it.
There was a woman in the Bible. She had an issue of blood and had suffered from it for a long time. But when she touched the hem of Jesus’ garment, she was healed. She was almost sneaking away, but Jesus made sure she testified of her miracle to the whole crowd.
Every time you talk about your miracle, you stir up faith in others to receive theirs too. So don’t keep quiet about what the Lord has done for you. Tell someone about His goodness today

The Name of Jesus is the name above all other names. Whether it’s failure, a headache, body pains, fever or even the flu; there’s a name greater than all these names, and that’s the name of ‘Jesus’! That’s why Peter could use the Name of Jesus to heal the lame man at the temple gate (Acts 3:1-10).
There’s power in the Name of Jesus! So, use it over your body, and family. Enjoy the miracle working power in the Name of Jesus every day as you declare it in faith!

It’s possible to get upset over something or someone. But, if that happens, you shouldn’t let that anger control you by making you say or do unkind things.
The Bible says, “Don’t be quick to get angry, because anger is typical of fools” (Ecclesiastes 7:9 GW). No one likes to hang around angry people because they hurt others with their words or actions.
Remember our Lord Jesus, He wasn’t angry at those who put Him on the cross; rather He forgave them. So, like the Lord Jesus, choose to be full of compassion, and forgive easily

An anchor is a very heavy metal object. It’s found in ships and it’s used to hold the ship in place when it’s docked. Though an anchor is much smaller than a ship in size, it’s able to hold the mighty ship in place!
God’s Word is your life’s anchor. It’s able to keep you successful, healthy and strong.
So, hold on to the Word; study, meditate and act on it. It is strong enough to take you through life, and make you a success. Glory to God!

What would you do? Some people might think of keeping it, but you shouldn’t! It would be wrong for you to keep something that doesn’t belong to you.
The right thing to do would be to take it to either your parents or someone with authority. That’s how the children of God behave.

Joshua and Caleb were among the twelve spies sent to spy out the land of Canaan. Ten of them gave a bad report, but Joshua and Caleb’s report was full of faith (Numbers 14:9 TLB). Through the eyes of faith, they saw possibilities!
Learn to see with the eyes of faith, like Joshua and Caleb did, and you’ll always live a life of victory and dominion.

Time is very precious. Every second or minute that passes can’t be gotten back. That’s why you should use your time wisely. The Lord Jesus understood this and spent His time wisely. You should too.
The time you should be doing your homework shouldn’t be the time you’re watching the TV or playing. When you learn to do things at the right time, you’ll save time. When you save time, you’ll always be ahead in life.

One of your responsibilities as God’s child is to serve. The Lord Jesus lived a life of service. He said, “Your attitude must be like my own, for I, the Messiah, did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give my life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28 TLB). That means you should copy Jesus.
Don’t be that child that expects everyone to do everything for him. No. Think about others too. Be willing to serve others.
So, always be ready to volunteer when help is called for, whether in church, at home or in school.

The moment you were born again, you received divine ability to do anything. Paul understood this; that’s why he could boldly make the declaration in today’s memory verse. He knew he was working with divine ability; therefore, nothing was impossible to him.
You too have received this divine ability. The Bible says, “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God” (2 Corinthians 3:5). It means your ability is from God. That’s why you should never see any subject in school as being too difficult. You have divine ability and you can do anything!

Daniel was known for being excellent. The Bible says he had an excellent spirit. This made him stand out among his peers and in everything he did (Daniel 6:3). This made Daniel a first class student. He produced outstanding results in all he did.
Just as Daniel was, you’ve been ordained to have outstanding results in all you do. That makes you first class too.
So, take advantage of the presence of the Holy Spirit in you by fellowshipping with Him and praying in tongues often.

The moment you were born again, you became God’s representative to preach the gospel. Therefore, be bold to declare it everywhere you go: in school, at home, at the mall or even the playground. So, “…preach God’s message. Do it willingly, even if it isn’t the popular thing to do” (2 Timothy 4:2 CEV).

As God’s child, you don’t need to wear a long face when you’re confronted with difficult situations.
When David fought Goliath, he knew he wasn’t alone and that God was with him. This made him bold, and he was victorious. The Bible says that we are victorious because “The one who loves us gives us an overwhelming victory in all these difficulties” (Romans 8:37 GW).
Therefore, know that no matter how difficult the situation may seem, you’ll always come out as a victor. So, cheer up with your chest out and chin up for the Greater one is always with you!

Do you know you’re special to the Lord? Yes, you are! I often tell people: ‘If you were the only one on earth; Jesus would still had died for you!’ This shows how special you are to the Lord.
You should know that no one looks exactly like you in this world; your smile, your laughter and even the way you walk are unique to you. You’re “one in a million”; you’re the only one of your kind the Lord has! Hallelujah!
So go everywhere today with a cheer on your face, and joy in your heart, knowing that you’re loved and esteemed by the Lord!

Be sensible and store up precious treasures- don’t waste them like a fool. Proverbs 21:20 CEV

As a child, it’s not too early for you to learn to save. Aside from your special givings, offerings and tithes, you shouldn’t spend everything you get.
The Lord in today’s memory verse is telling you to “be sensible and store up precious treasures...” (Proverbs 21:20 CEV). Therefore, have the discipline to keep away some money as your savings. It could be kept away in a bank or a temporary saving box.
So, when you get a cash gift, don’t spend it all. Be wise and save some.

The moment you were born again, you received a new life in Christ. The Bible says that old things are passed away. This means whatever happened in the past doesn’t matter.
The devil is always at his tricks. He’ll try to remind you of the wrong things you did in the past. Don’t listen to him. Be bold to tell him that you’re a new creation, and he’ll leave you alone.
So, refuse to be weighed down by your past, for it no longer matters! Choose to live a life of victory and dominion over the enemy and his tricks.

One day, as the Lord Jesus was in the home of a certain man, a woman came in and poured a very expensive perfume on Him. The disciples thought the woman had wasted the perfume on Jesus. This was because they saw Jesus differently. But Jesus is more than a man. He is the Lord from heaven, and He deserves nothing but the best.
Remember, He’s given you the most valuable thing in the world—your salvation. So, when it’s time to give, give the best to Him. He deserves the best of your talent and time too!

Today’s memory verse are the words of the Lord Jesus. It’s not a promise but a reality. Think about it, while you hopped on the bus to school, you carried the Lord with you. Remember He came to live in you the moment you were born again.
He is saying to you today as He said to Joshua, “…be bold and strong! Banish fear and doubt! For remember, the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9 TLB).
Therefore, be bold and courageous, for the Lord is with you every step of the way. You’re never alone! Hallelujah!

The Lord visited Abraham one day and told him Sarah would have a son for him. When Sarah heard the message, she laughed. The Lord asked why she laughed, but Sarah denied it. You would think Sarah would have been punished for lying to the Lord, but she wasn’t. The Lord had mercy on her (Genesis 18:15).
Learn to be merciful to people. Even if they’ve treated you badly, forgive them. Let others see God’s love in you.

So, you’re a creator too! You have the ability to create and recreate any situation you don’t like. How? With your faith-filled words.
So, start today to speak words of faith and power to make your life beautiful and full of glory.

Do you know what an oak seed looks like? It doesn’t have branches, stems, roots, fruits or flowers on it. But in that little seed is everything it needs to produce branches, stems, fruits, roots and flowers. All it needs is to be planted in the right environment, which is a good soil with water and lots of sunlight.
You’re like that little seed. To grow up and become stronger in Christ, you need the right environment—the environment of the Word. Therefore, I encourage you to “…desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby” (1 Peter 2:2).

Punctuality means being on time, and it’s part of an excellent character. No one wants to be known as the person who always comes late to school, events and meetings. Such people aren’t dependable and often miss out on opportunities.
Remember Thomas’ story? After the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, everyone was punctual except Thomas. Thomas missed such an important meeting because he wasn’t punctual.
Learn to be punctual; wake up at the right time, get dressed and ready for school or church on time. This is how to develop an excellent character and be dependable.
