As a child of God, you're a victor already! You're not of those trying to win. No! You've already been declared a victor! In Romans 8:37, the Bible says that you're more than a conqueror. Hallelujah!

The moment you were born again, you became a victor. This means there's nothing and no one powerful enough to bring you down.

So, never let anything or anyone get you down. Whatever anyone may have said to you cannot over power or over shadow what God has said about you, or already made you. Just get up, shake it off,for you're the kings kid and a victor!

Happy Easter Sunday! Today marks the resurrection of the Lord Jesus after His death on the cross. The Bible tells us that when Jesus resurrected, we were also raised with Him. And now we are seated with Him in power and glory. To be raised up together with Christ means you’ve been promoted with Christ to the position of power.

The Bible tells us that Jesus is seated at the right hand of God. This is a position of absolute power and authority. Jesus occupies the position of power and authority where He reigns and rules over all things. You occupy the same position of power and authority with Jesus to reign and rule in life. No wonder Romans 5:17 says “…those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ” Hallelujah!

Today is ‘Good Friday’! It’s a day we commemorate the death of the Lord Jesus on the cross of Calvary. The greatest love ever is for a person to lay down his life for others. And this was what Jesus did for the whole world when He died for the sins of mankind.

The truth is that even if you were the only person in the world, Jesus would still have come to die for you because of His great love.

I encourage you today to meditate on His great love for you and let it inspire you to reach out to someone close to you and get them saved.

You became a Christian by “talking”. That means the Christian life is not a quiet one; it’s a ‘life of talking’. You’ve got to say what God has said about you and speak it forth with boldness and in faith.

Just as you believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord and Saviour to become born again, you’ve got to apply the same principle to enjoy God’s blessings. It’s the ‘talking’ principle. You want it, then say it!

So, make bold faith-filled confessions often, for this is how to live victoriously every day.

That’s exactly what today’s memory verse doesn’t want for you. That’s why it’s admonishing you to put an end to bad and ungodly habits.

Therefore, start out today to develop good and godly habits like observing your quiet times with the Lord, sharing the gospel, studying your books and speaking the truth always.

The Name of Jesus is powerful. But this power has nothing to do with how the Name is spelt or pronounced. As a matter of fact, the Name of Jesus is spelt and pronounced differently in different parts of the world. So, where’s the power? The power is in the person behind the Name—the Lord Jesus!

Our Lord Jesus is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He’s the greatest of all, highly exalted above the heavens and His glory above all the earth. Hallelujah!

So, when you call upon His Name in faith, everything must hear and obey because He’s the Man behind the Name.

Buffets are popularly known as have ‘all-you-can-eat’. This is because various types of meals are served for everyone present, and you can take as much as you want. Just as there’re food buffets, there’s also a ‘buffet’ of the Word.

God’s Word is available to all, and you can take as much as you want. What’s more, unlike physical food you could get tired of, your spirit will never get tired of feasting on God’s Word.

Therefore, have a feast of the Word every day and watch your life move from glory to glory!

As a young boy, David had so much faith and trust in God, and he wasn’t ashamed to brag about it.

Like David, learn to make your boast in your Heavenly Father. Remember, He’s the Greater One who lives in you. So, let those in your world know how mighty your Heavenly Father is, the One behind all you are and all you have!

When David faced Goliath, everyone, including Saul the king, saw just a little boy who chose to set himself up against a skilled soldier and giant (1 Samuel 17:33). But he knew he was more than a conqueror because God was with him (1 Samuel 17:37). No wonder he defeated the giant even though he wasn’t a skilled soldier.

Today, not only is God with you, He’s also in you through the Holy Spirit. His presence in you has made you a champion!

Have no cares or concern about anything. Is it a subject, your health, or a loved one? It makes no difference whatever it is. Declare faith-filled words about them, and you’ll have the miracle you desire.

What happens when you pass in front of a mirror? You see yourself, right? Do you at once forget what you looked like as soon as you walk away? No way!

The Word is like a mirror. As you study it, it shows you who you really are in Christ and what you have.

So, as you look into the mirror of God every day, always remember what you see by acting on it. That way, you won’t be “…a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work…” (James 1:25). Hallelujah!

From childhood, Moses knew God had chosen him to be a great leader of the Israelites (Hebrews 11:24).

One time, he fought against an injustice meted out to a Jew by an Egyptian (Exodus 2:11-14). At other times, he fearlessly confronted Pharoah to demand the release of the Israelites from Egypt (Exodus 5:1). Like Moses, be bold and always speak up, especially for those who can’t, and make sure to always speak the truth.

Moses refused to be discouraged by Pharoah’s initial refusal. It was Moses’ tenacity, backed up by God’s mighty hands, that gave Israel freedom from Egypt.

Sometime ago, I had an encounter with a man whose wife was sick. He was desperate to get my attention, so he was screaming, “My wife is dying!” Immediately, I chided him to stop saying that because what you say is what you have. Then, I told him to speak life to his wife. Instantly, the woman who was very sickly got up, completely healed. Hallelujah!

As God’s child, what you say with your mouth is important. Learn to speak life to your body, academics, and everything that concerns you. Refuse to talk fear or sickness.

So, say only words of blessings, health, success, prosperity and victory to yourself and people around you.

The Bible tells an inspiring story of Queen Esther. God used her to stop a plot to destroy the Jews. The plot was hatched by a vicious man named Haman. Esther’s foster father, Mordecai, found out about this terrible plan and immediately sent words to Esther.

Though it was dangerous for her to see the king uninvited, nonetheless, she went to the king and convinced him to change his mind. Esther’s bravery saved the Jews, her own people

Like Esther, you should be brave for the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Don’t be intimidated or allow anything stop you from telling others about Jesus.

‘Salvation’ is a word that represents all the good things that the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ gave us. You came into these blessings the moment you were born again.

What are these blessings? They are divine health and healing (1 Peter 2:24), a sound and intelligent mind (2 Timothy 1:7), and many more beautiful things revealed to us in the Word of God.

As a child of God, you have the right to enjoy all the blessings of salvation because they were all paid for with the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

There’s only one medicine in the whole world that’s powerful enough to cure any and every sickness. Still wondering what that medicine is? It’s the Word of God! The Word is more effective than any medicine from the dispensary, pharmacy, chemist or clinic! There’s no pain or sickness the Word can’t get rid of.

What’s even better is that you don’t have to be sick or in pain to take the Word; you can start taking it right now through study and meditation. As you do, the Word in you will prevent sickness from getting into your body!

God loves and blesses faithful people. Faithfulness is a quality every child of God should demonstrate. Faithful people do the right things all the time, even when no one is looking or praising them for it.

David displayed this excellent quality. He was faithful in tending to his father’s sheep; God saw this and promoted him to be king of Israel (2 Samuel 7:8).

God always rewards faithfulness; be faithful in all you do for Him even when it seems no one is watching.

When manufacturers create a special edition of a product, it’s the version that stands out in uniqueness and is special above all the rest. You’re God’s creation and a special version. That means you’re unique and special!

Take a good look at yourself as you stand in front of a mirror; that person you’re seeing on the other side is a special creation. You’re unique and one-of-a-kind. There’s no one on this earth that’s exactly like you. No one talks and laughs like you.

So, stand out from the crowd today as you shine with your excellent character in Christ. Glory to God!

If you desire a change in any area of your life, you must first change the way you do things.

For example, if you want better grades at school, you’d have to change how and when you study your books. Start out by getting to school early and paying attention in class. When you return home, read your books, and do your homework. As you do this regularly, and with the help of the Holy Spirit, you’ll have the excellent results you desire.

So, if you want things to change, then change the order by doing things differently and excellently.

People go to the bank for different reasons. While some are there to make deposits to their bank accounts, others go to collect money. It’s the same with your heart. However, you don’t deposit money into your heart; rather, you deposit words.

Every time you study and meditate on the Word, you’re making a deposit of God’s Word into your spirit. Glory to God!

So, don’t relent; keep up the habit of fellowshipping with the Word daily and making Word-deposits in your spirit for your spiritual growth.

The instruction on what to do with God’s Word is very clear from today’s opening scripture: it says, “...for God has said... So we can say with confidence....” In other words, God has given us His Word so that we can say the same thing in agreement.

Confession is speaking God’s Word in agreement with Him. This is how to get the Word of God working in your life. God’s Word is powerful, and it can take you from victory to victory. Therefore, speak it in boldness and faith no matter what’s happening around you.

There’s a beautiful rhyme you should learn. It goes thus: “My head, my shoulders, my knees, my toes, they all belong to Jesus.” How true that is! And because your body belongs to Jesus, you have a responsibility to keep it clean and healthy.

The reason some people get sick is that they don’t keep their bodies clean. You shouldn’t be that way.

Therefore, have your bath and brush your teeth regularly, and develop the habit of keeping your surroundings clean always. And remember to always speak faith-filled words over your body. This is how to care for your body, which has been given to you by God!

The Bible records that God made a covenant with Abraham and gave to him, and his seed, the whole world (Romans 4:13). The seed includes you! Isn’t that awesome!

That means this great and beautiful world God made, along with all that’s in it, belongs to you! Remember, “God promised Abraham and his descendants that he would give them the world” (Romans 4:13 CEV).

Therefore, walk tall with your chin up and chest out, for all the goodness in the world is for you to enjoy (Psalm 33:5).

As God’s child, you have the same life and nature Jesus has. It means you can do the things He did while He walked on earth. Isn’t that beautiful!

What did Jesus do? The Bible says that Jesus went everywhere doing good and blessing people. “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him” (Acts 10:38).

So, let everyone you come in contact with today know that you’re like Jesus as you bless them with His love and goodness. Glory to God!

Today’s memory verse is talking about our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He came to the world to redeem all mankind from their sin. That was why He died, and on the third day He resurrected so that all men would receive salvation. He is the Saviour of the world and the only way to God, the Father.

As God’s child, the Lord wants you to tell everyone about Him. He wants you to tell them all He has done for them. Tell them He has paid the price for their sin so they don’t have to continue in sin or suffer and be in pain anymore. Glory to God!

Some children are ashamed to identify with Jesus or His people. So, they hide their Bibles because they don’t want their friends to laugh at them. You shouldn’t be like that.

Rather, you should be proud to be identified with Jesus and God’s people. Also, be glad to show Him off to your friends and classmates through your words and actions.

Therefore, celebrate Jesus as you boldly declare His Love and message of salvation everywhere you go and to everyone you meet today.

Just as some people go to the gym for workouts to make them physically fit, you can have a Word-workout too.

A Word-workout simply is fellowshipping with the Word. Your personal times of study with the Word are like workout sessions where you train your spirit. With every Wordwork out session, your spirit becomes ‘fitter’ to handle the challenges of life.

So, just as you’re doing now studying your daily devotional, make it a habit to have a Word-workout every day!
