As God’s child, you have the nature of God. In other words, you’ve got the ability to do supernatural things (Psalm 82:6).

The Bible records how God created the universe. The Lord created the whole world from nothing by calling into being what never existed. He did that through His Word (Genesis 1:1-3).

Like the Lord, you can call into being whatever you need and create your own atmosphere. Even if they’d never existed before, you’ll bring them forth like “… God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did” (Romans 4:17) Hallelujah!

Your body is made up of different parts: eyes, nose, mouth, hands and legs. All these parts are members of your body. Just like the way your eyes or nose are members of your body, you too are a member of the body of Christ, a part of His body.

The human body parts are joined together by bones, ligaments and tendons, but you’re joined to the Lord by the Holy Spirit. This means that you’re one with Him in body and spirit. The beautiful part is, your body is His body now. Hallelujah!

So, go out today with your chin up and shoulders squared, knowing that you’re a victor because His victory is your victory! Glory to God!

The Bible shows us how God spoke things into being. He used words to create the universe.

God’s Word is all powerful and creative. As God’s child, you were born of the Word: “having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever” (1 Peter 1:23). It means you’re made of the Word! Glory to God!

So, let the same Word that brought you into being come out of your mouth often. Don’t be quiet. Speak God’s Word to your body, academics, and loved ones, and see the results come to pass. Hallelujah!

There’re times you want to pray about something or someone but may not have the right words or you may not know what to pray about, that’s when you need the Holy Spirit; He will help you.

The Holy Spirit will take you above every human limitations, and you’ll be able to pray effectively.

This is why it’s important you speak in tongues anytime you pray. As you do, the Holy Spirit Himself will bring the right words before the Father, and you’ll be very effective in prayer.

The Lord said to Jeremiah the prophet, “I knew you before you were formed within your mother’s womb; before you were born I sanctified you and appointed you as my spokesman to the world” (Jeremiah 1:5 TLB).

That means God chose him to be a prophet ever before he was born. David was only a shepherd-boy, yet the Lord chose him to be the king of Israel (1 Samuel 16:12-13).

In the same way, God knew you before you were born by your parents. And He’s chosen to make you a success, and a victor. Glory to God!

I love Jesus! No one ever talked like Him. In today’s memory verse, He said, “I am the Way.” He didn’t say “I am a way” or “I am one of the ways”; rather, He said, “I am the way!” That means if anyone wants to come to the Father, he has to come through Jesus, because He is the only way to the Father. That’s final; it’s not debatable!

So, people may talk about other ways to God, but they’re all wrong. There’s only one way to the Father, and that is the Lord Jesus.

Therefore, if you’re reading this now, and haven’t made Him the Lord and Saviour of your life, you can receive Him into your heart now. Please, say the prayer on page 48 out loud.

The Gospel is the good news. It’s the good news of salvation: everyone needs to know that Jesus came, died and has been raised up from the dead, so they don’t have to be sick, poor or suffer anymore! This is what the Lord Jesus wants you to tell everyone.

So, tell everyone you meet today that Jesus is the Saviour! Let those around you know that He has come to give them a new life that is above sickness, poverty and failure. Hallelujah! It’s your job to announce this good news to everyone and everywhere.

You don’t have to worry about tomorrow. The Lord has set before you a glorious future of success, divine health, and favour.

The Bible tells an inspiring story of Paul and Silas. They were imprisoned for preaching the Gospel. Rather than being gloomy, they chose to be joyful in praise.

The Bible records that a great miracle happened as a result of their act of faith. The prison doors opened and all the chains fell off their hands and legs.

As God’s beloved child, praising God should be your lifestyle. When you praise Him, miracles happen. Just by praising God right there in prison, Paul and Silas got a miracle. You can do the same right now as you praise the Lord joyfully, and you’ll see miracles happening! Hallelujah!

The Gospel of Christ is the good news of God’s love for the whole world. It’s the only message that is able to save, heal and deliver anyone from any situation.

How will people hear it without a preacher? The great news is that you’ve been given the responsibility of declaring it; because you’re the preacher! So, “…preach God’s message. Do it willingly, even if it isn’t the popular thing to do” (2 Timothy 4:2 CEV).

Therefore, be bold to preach it everywhere you go: in school, at home, at the mall or even the playground.

Today’s memory verse is one of my favourite scriptures. That’s because it’s exactly the way my life is: I don’t worry about anything!

God doesn’t want you to worry about anything too. That’s why He says, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank Him for His answers” (Philippians 4:6 TLB). This is how to handle the worries that come to your heart.

So, don’t let anything make you worry or sad. What’s that thing you need, tell the Lord about it in prayer, and His peace will fill your heart! Hallelujah!

True worship of God must be done according to His instructions. One of such instructions is in today’s memory verse, and that’s singing new songs.

David, the Psalmist, understood the importance of worshipping God with new songs. That’s why he said, “Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth” (Psalm 96:1). No wonder he lived an extraordinary life.

So today, sing new songs of worship to Him, and your spirit will be stirred, and you’ll never be the same again. Hallelujah!

As God’s children, we serve the Lord from our spirits and according to His Word. Some people would say, “Everyone can serve God in his own way!” That’s wrong. We must serve Him as the Word shows us.

Remember the story of Cain and Abel? Abel’s offering was accepted because he did what the Lord wanted them to do. But Cain’s offering was rejected because he didn’t follow God’s instruction.

Don’t be like Cain. Pay attention to the Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. By these, you’ll always serve God the right way.

When I speak about the power of the human mind, I usually say, “Your imaginative power is your creative ability.” This simply means that your mind has the ability to create and bring forth what it thinks about.

Therefore, you should only allow positive thoughts in your mind. Never allow negative thoughts. For example, don’t imagine failure, either in your school work or anything you do. And don’t imagine that you’ll not get the bags, clothes, shoes and toys you need; don’t think lack. Only think of possibilities, success, and prosperity. Remember, your life attracts what you think about.

So, fill your heart with God’s Word, and your mind will produce positive thoughts, and only good things will happen to and around you.

The moment you were born again, you became an heir of God’s blessings. That means that all the good and beautiful things of life belong to you. And the Lord expects you as His child to distribute these blessings to your world.

Therefore, you’re now a distributor of God’s blessings, grace, love and compassion. Let those who come in contact with you know that the God of heaven and earth is your Father.

Be a giver. Remember, you’re Abraham’s seed; and it’s through you that ‘’…all the nations of the earth shall be blessed...” (Genesis 22:18). Hallelujah!

Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Ephesians 6:16

A soldier in a combat is expected to have armours on. One of such armours is a shield. A shield is a piece of armour worn or carried on the arm to protect against the opposition’s attack.

As God’s child, you’re a soldier! That’s why the Bible instructs you to take up God’s whole armour, and more importantly, to always have your shield on, which is your faith (Ephesians 6:13-17). Your faith protects you from negative thoughts that the devil will want to bring to your mind.

So, fill your heart with God’s Word by meditating and declaring it always. This is how to take on the shield of faith.

One of the things that should be important to you, this year, is spending a lot of time in prayer. As God’s child, you must make prayer your lifestyle.

Our Lord Jesus had a lifestyle of prayer. He spent a lot of time in prayer because He understood just how special and important prayer is (Luke 18:1).

When you pray, you’re talking to the Lord, and He’ll also respond to you too. Isn’t that awesome? That’s why prayer is fellowship. So, make your prayer times your special times with your heavenly Father. Be known as the child who loves to pray!

No good father wants his children to go through life having a hard time. This is why the Lord Jesus, through His death and resurrection, brought us into a life of glory and blessings.

The Lord loves you, and wants you to be the best, and have all the good things of life. So, bring forth the good things you desire by your words of confession, and see them come to being. The Name of Jesus is all powerful, and it can change any situation, no matter how bad it seems.

Do you remember the story of Peter and his friend, John? They were on their way to the temple when they saw a man that was lame at the temple’s gate. Peter said to him, “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” Immediately, he got up and began to walk (Acts 3:1-8).  

Peter and John used the Name of Jesus in faith, and it worked! You can do the same today. Use the Name of Jesus over anything, and you’ll have dominion. Glory to God!

God’s Word is powerful and dependable (Hebrews 4:12), but you’ve got to believe it, for it to produce in your life what it talks about.

The Lord Jesus couldn’t perform mighty miracles in His hometown of Nazareth because of the people’s unbelief (Mark 6:5). Unbelief stopped the power of God from flowing there. How sad!

It’s God‘s desire for you to be well and healthy. He wants you to succeed in your studies too. But you’ve got to believe His Word, and do them. Produce amazing results in your life by speaking or declaring God’s Word over your life. Hallelujah!

This special life is already yours today. Isn’t that awesome! Yes, it is! However, for you to enjoy all of it, you’ve got to believe God’s Word, and act on it accordingly. It’s that simple!

So, spend quality time every day to meditate on God’s Word, and declare faith-filled words. As you do, this life of all-round prosperity and success will be seen in and through you. Hallelujah!

Prayer is important. It is communication with God; you talk to the Lord, and He talks to you too. You need to spend quality time with the Lord in fellowship.

Our Lord Jesus lived an inspiring life of prayer. He always took out time to pray. That’s why the Bible says, “Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed” (Mark 1:35).

So, learn to pray always. Don’t wait for a special time to pray; rather, make it a habit to pray. This is how to be an effective Christian.

How do I increase God’s grace in my life? You ask. It’s simple. The more of God’s Word you have in your spirit, the more His grace will increase in your life.

So, give attention to God’s Word and spend time to meditate on it. As you do, you’ll discover that His beauty, glory and goodness are on the increase in your life! Glory to God!

The Gospel of our Lord and Saviour is for everybody. He died and resurrected because He doesn’t want anyone to perish. (2 Peter 3:9). That’s why He needs every one of us to be involved in preaching the Gospel everywhere.

Remember the story of Naaman and his maid? Naaman was sick with leprosy, but his maid had a solution. She knew about a prophet in Israel who could heal her master’s leprosy. She didn’t keep the information to herself, but told Naaman about the prophet. Naaman received his miracle because his maid didn’t keep quiet (2 Kings 5:1-19).

The Lord wants you to be like that maid who will not keep the good news to herself. Share it everywhere until everyone hears it. Preach the Gospel to somebody today.

Do you know that the Lord has an order which he wants you to follow when you pray? Yes, there is! The Lord expects us to begin our prayer by praying first for all men. That’s exactly what today’s memory verse is saying. It says, “First of all,” meaning before you pray for other things—be it your academics, health, and loved ones—pray for all men. This is important to the Lord!

But there’re Christians who only pray for themselves. They only pray about things that affect them. It shouldn’t be so.

Be concerned about others, and spend time praying for them. Remember, “…he who waters will also be watered himself” (Proverbs 11:25).

On a certain day, Jesus went up to a mountain to pray with Peter, James, and John. While they were there, Jesus was transfigured before them; Elijah and Moses appeared, and God’s cloud of glory covered them. This was the same cloud that covered the Israelites in the wilderness for forty years. It was the cloud of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 10:1-2).

But do you know what’s amazing? As God’s child, the Holy Spirit is with you and in you: You carry this cloud of God’s glory with you everywhere you go.

So, don’t be afraid of anything because you’re protected and covered by God’s cloud of glory. Hallelujah!

One day, my attention was drawn to one of the psalms of David, while meditating on the awesomeness of the Lord and thanking Him for all He’s done. “On that day David first delivered this psalm…to thank the Lord: Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples!” (1 Chronicles 16:7-8). This is so beautiful!

David was never ashamed or afraid to express his gratitude to the Lord openly. Often times, he expressed his gratitude in songs and in psalms. No wonder he lived such a great life.

Be like David! Think often about all the Lord has done for you, and let joy fill your heart. Refuse to focus on the negatives. Rather, keep your eyes on the Lord’s love and kindness.
