God loves helping His children. No matter what the situation is, if you call on Him, He'll be there to help you. He said, "Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you" (Psalm 50:15).

Remember Peter? He was thrown in jail and was going to be killed. But, the church prayed for him, and the Lord sent an angel to rescue him (Acts 12:5-7). Hallelujah!

The Lord is always ready to help His children. All you have to do is ask Him in faith and you'll have the miracle you desire.

In the Old Testament, the children of Israel fought many wars but always came out victoriously. In the New Testament, the Bible refers to us as the "Israel of God" (Galatians 6:15-16). But, unlike Israel in the Old Testament, our weapons of war aren't made of steel and wood but of faith.

The Bible says our faith is the victory that overcomes the world ( 1 John 5:4). As God's child, you've got faith; it was given to you when you made Jesus Lord of your life (Romans 12:3). Through faith, you've been declared a winner in every area of your life (Romans 8:37).

So, live in victory every day through your faith-filled declarations.

An advocate is somebody who speaks on behalf and in defence of another person. For example, lawyers are advocates.

As God's child, you have an Advocate with God, the Father; His name is Jesus. As your Advocate, He stands before the Father speaking on your behalf. He isn't trying to convince God to do anything for you. Remember that God already loves you. This is just another way for Him to show how much He loves you. Hallelujah!

So, you see why you should never feel sad or discouraged? You have an Advocate appointed by the Father for your victory.

Church is such an exciting place to be. No wonder David, the Psalmist, was ever joyful when it was time to go to the house of the Lord.

The Church is full of God's children, and where God's children are gathered, you can be sure the Lord is there (Matthew 18:20). No child of God should leave church sad or unhappy, because church is full of the joy of the Lord. Glory to God!

So, every time it's church service, be excited and joyful, for it's going to be another glorious and fun-filled time in God's presence. Remember to invite others to join you.

In the world today, there's so much happening at the same time. But, God's Word to you is this: 'Fear not!' Don't let what you hear put fear in your heart.

Remember, fear is an enemy and the opposite of faith. But the Lord has not given you the spirit of fear but of love, power and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Therefore, refuse to fear no matter what's happening around you. The Lord "...will spread his wings over you and keep you secure..." (Psalm 91:4 CEV).

So, put your trust in His Word. Be bold and courageous for He has promised to be with you always.

God's our great provider; therefore, you have no reason to be in lack or want. He owns the whole world and all that's in it. His provision store can never run dry (Psalm 50:10).

When the children of Israel journeyed through the wilderness; it was God that provided for them. "Forty years You sustained them in the wilderness, they lacked nothing; their clothes did not wear out and their feet did not swell" (Nehemiah 9:21). Wow!

He took care of the children of Israel for forty years, and His supply didn't run out! So, He's got more than enough to take care of you and provide all your needs.

A long time ago, my friends and I were at the cafeteria. After our meal, I noticed they had an extra food pack. They had taken it out without anyone noticing. I immediately told them that even if no one saw them, God did. I asked them to do the right thing and take it back.

You should always do the right thing even if no one is watching or going to applaud you for it. When you think no one is watching, God is.

So, lead an exemplary life as His child, and show others the way to go by doing the right thing always.

To be immune to diseases means to be resistant to infection or disease. That means the disease can't affect or influence you negatively because you're protected against it.

The moment you were born again, you received the life of God. It's a life that doesn't get sick. This life is immune to any kind of sickness or infections. Hallelujah!

Therefore, if you're feeling any sort of pain or discomfort in any part of your body, lay your hands there and command the pain to cease. The life of God is in you, and that sickness or pain cannot stay. Glory to God!

Worship times are special times of fellowship with the Lord. At such times, you lift your hands to the Lord in worship, and tell Him how wonderful He is. You'll be caught up in His love and glorious presence when you worship Him like this. It's the best place to be in God's presence.

Therefore, I encourage you to take advantage of every opportunity to worship the Lord, praising His wonderful Name for His gracious deeds. These are special times with the Lord.

Not many people know the devil is a defeated foe. Jesus took everything from him and publicly defeated him through His death and resurrection.

Therefore, the devil has and can't do nothing. That's why you don't have to be afraid of him. Jesus defeated the devil so you could live a life of continuous victory and success!

Now that you know the devil has been defeated, tell someone too today. Let them know the devil has no power to stop them from being all God wants them to be. Hallelujah!

The engine of a car is usually in the bonnet. Though the engine of the car is not obvious, it is what powers and makes the car to move.

Like the engine of a car, the Holy Spirit, who lives inside of you, is the One who empowers you to do extraordinary things. He's the person who gives you the ability to change seemly impossible situations. He's the One who fills you with power.

But, how do you get this power working? By praying in other tongues and declaring the Word of God. As you do, you'll cause changes and produce miracles everywhere you go.

God's Word has the power to change anyone and anything. This is why it's vital you study and meditate on it. The more you do, the more it'll improve the quality of your life and results.

Is there something about your character you'd like to change? It could be a habit. Whatever it is. You can change it with the Word.

All you have to do is let the Word into your spirit. Give the Word first place in your life; meditate on it, and make sure you act on it promptly. Then, it'll keep changing you into that excellent and perfect image in the Word.

Before planting a seed, a farmer would take his time to prepare the field for planting. Firstly, he'd clear the weeds and till the ground before sowing the seeds.

Just like the farmer prepares his field for sowing, you should also prepare your heart for the Word of God. Remember, the Word of God is a seed and only a ready heart can receive it and be blessed.

So, get your heart ready today, by praying about the Word you'll be taught. Pray that it'll mix with faith in your heart, so that it would produce the fruits it talks about.

The Word of God is medicine; it has the power to cure illnesses. If anyone sick would meditate on the Word, it’ll destroy every, and any form of disease and infirmity in his body. That’s how powerful God’s Word is.

The Bible says, “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” (Psalm 107:20). It’ll cure the blood condition, get rid of any infectious virus, heal your bones, heart and skin and produce life in you!

So, you see, physical food does a lot for your body, but the Word does much more. Therefore, stay in the Word by declaring it to your body, and you’ll be healthy and sound. Hallelujah!

As a Christian child, joy comes from your recreated human spirit. It's the presence of God in your heart that brings this joy into your life. That's why the Bible describes it as unspeakable joy (1 Peter 1:8). In other words, it's indescribable!

One great thing about joy is that it doesn't come alone. When it comes, it comes with laughter, gladness and excitement. It drives out heaviness and gloom from you, such that when people see you, instead of asking you, "What's the problem?" they'll say, "You're looking so bright; share the good news with us!"

You can share this joy with others as you tell them about Jesus.

Simon Peter and his men had been fishing all night long but hadn't caught a single fish. When they got back to shore, the Lord Jesus told them to throw their nets into the water for a great catch. Peter trusted in the word of Jesus and did just that. The Bible says they caught so much fish that their net broke (Luke 5:6)!

Peter and his fellow fishermen had a catch of their lives because they trusted the Words of the Master.

Like Peter, put your trust in Jesus, trusting His Words, and acting on it promptly. He's trustworthy, and all who put their trust in Him are never disappointed.

Fasting is more than just staying away from food; it's an act of worship to the Lord. It's a time to stay away from everything that could distract you from the Lord and focus on Him completely.

When you fast, your spirit becomes more sensitive to what the Lord is saying to you. Also, you take out time to worship the Lord and study the Word. Fasting is a beautiful spiritual exercise you should do from time to time. Therefore, take advantage of every opportunity to fast and pray.

Gold is considered one of the most precious stones in the world. But do you know there's something more precious and valuable than gold? It's not another stone. It's the Spirit of the Lord! The Holy Spirit living in your heart is more precious and valuable than all the gold in the world.

He's the greatest gift from God to us and He makes the Christian life exciting. If you haven't received Him yet, you can say the short prayer at the end of today's devotion and He'll fill your life with His presence and power.

As God's child, you're worth so much to Him. You're like a pearl of great value. You're so precious and dear to the Lord. You're the apple of His eyes and special to Him (Zechariah 2:8).

Knowing that you mean so much to the Lord should put springs on your feet, and smiles on your face.

Remember, you're of great value to the Lord, and nothing anyone does or says can change that. Hallelujah!

One time, as the Lord Jesus and His disciples travelled on a boat, He fell asleep. Suddenly, a terrible storm arose. The storm was so bad that they thought they'd die, so they woke the Lord up. All He did was command it to stop, and it did (Matthew 8:26).

Wow! No one ever spoke like Jesus. He spoke with so much faith and authority. No situation can withstand the power of His Words. The Lord Jesus has given you the authority to speak in His Name too.

Therefore, release faith-filled words over any and every situation you desire a change in, and the change will manifest. Glory to God!

When Adam disobeyed God in the garden of Eden, man lost all the authority that the Lord had given him on earth to the devil. But the Lord Jesus, through His sacrifice on the cross and resurrection, took back the authority. Now therefore, the Lord Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth.

What's more amazing is that He's given this authority to us, Christians. We're His representatives here on earth, and we have the right to act on His behalf. That's why when you tell the devil to leave, he's got no choice but to obey because Jesus has given you all authority.

Do you know that God's love can't be compared to the love your friends have for you? God's love is different and special. His love is patient. He's never mad at you or seek how to punish you when you do wrong; rather, He's quick to forgive. Hallelujah!

His love is kind, never jealous, rude or quick-tempered. His love is hopeful, trust-worthy, and it never fails (1 Corinthians 13:4-8 CEV). His love doesn't change, and you can trust Him to love you, no matter who you are, or what you've done.

This is the kind of love He has put in your heart (Romans 5:5). Share this love today with others; tell them about God's amazing love.

There have been so many great people that have come to this world and gone over time. But there's only one that came over two thousand years ago and He's still alive. He's the only one that death could not hold down. His Name is Jesus. He's our risen King who's alive and lives forever!

He lives in you and me, and through us, He's touching more lives and transforming people from the power of darkness to to His glorious Kingdom of righteousness, victory and divine health. Hallelujah!

Therefore, tell someone about Him today and invite them to make Him the Lord over their lives too.

A NEW ORDER

A commandment is an order that's given to a group of people by someone in authority. The Lord gave the children of Israel commandments to guide them as they journeyed through the wilderness. But today, the Lord Jesus gave us a new commandment-love. He instructs us to love the Lord, our God, and one another. That's the new order from Him!

This is the greatest and most important commandment. When you walk in love, you'll always think good of others and seek ways to be helpful and kind.

Therefore, I encourage you to walk in love today. As you do, you'll be walking in the new order, and fulfilling the most important commandment.

One day, the Lord Jesus met a man who was possessed of demons. After casting the devils out of him, the Lord told him to tell others what was done for him. In other words, He told him to testify.

Your testimony has power, and every time you share it with someone, you're keeping the devil and all his demons at bay and giving them notice of the great power around you.

Not only that, you'll experience more of God's blessings in your life, and those who hear you will have faith to receive a miracle of their own. This is why you should share your testimony with others; don't be quiet!

Our Lord Jesus told the story of the prodigal son who collected his inheritance from his father, and went off to squander it. Afterwards, he returned to his father repentant and sober, and his father forgave him. In fact, he threw a party to celebrate the return of his son (Luke 15:17-24). What a loving father he was!

The story shows how our heavenly Father is; He's full of love and forgiving. Even when we make mistakes and stumble along the way, He's there to pick us up, clean us and set us back on the right track.

How wonderful it is to have a Father so loving and kind.

Do you know what the word “beware” means? It means to be careful and alert to dangers. The word is often used to warn people, so they can be alert. For example, if you see a building with the sign “Beware of Dogs”, it means you’d need to be careful, because, a fierce dog might just be behind the walls.

In these last days, we have to be very careful of the kind of information we read, watch and listen to. The books may be fun to read; the video game may be exciting; the cartoon may make you laugh, but are they good for you? Do they inspire you to pray or study your Bible more? Do they make you love Jesus more? If your answers to these questions is NO, then it’s time to stop engaging in them, immediately.
