A farmer who sowed only orange seeds will not have a harvest of mangos, will he? No! He’ll only get a harvest of oranges. Sowing and reaping is a law; you reap what you sow!
In the same way, as God’s child, if you sow seeds of kindness, obedience, and love, you’ll get a harvest of all these. Hallelujah!
So, if you’d like to receive more love, kindness and lovely things in your life, sow them as seeds by doing it to others. As you do, you’ll reap a mighty harvest of all you’ve sown.

Have you ever taken some time to observe ants? They may be small but very hardworking. From sunup to sundown, you’d see them working to fill their storage with food.
If the ants, as little as they are, prepare and work ahead of time, you ought to too. The Bible encourages us to be hardworking, because hard work is one of the ingredients of success and excellence in life.
So, work hard, give attention to studying your books and doing your assignments diligently.

The word ‘’favourite’’ is derived from the word ‘’favour’’. To favour means to ‘delight in’ or ‘to be fond of’. Hence, when I say you’re God’s favourite, it means that God is delighted with and fond of you. Isn’t that awesome?
Isaac in the Bible was a favoured man. He sowed in a dry land during famine and in the same year, reaped a hundredfold harvest, and lived in plenty whilst others lacked (Genesis 26:12-13). As God’s child, nothing happens to you by accident. God has given you all authority. That means the situation around you don’t matter because you’re always in charge.
The Lord Jesus was always in charge of every situation; He was never caught by surprise. No matter what the situation was, if He didn’t like it, He spoke the Word and changed things.
So, refuse to let any situation make you perplexed. Rather, use faith-filled words to reorganize things. Keep speaking God’s Word; this is how to stay in charge and be victorious every day.

As God’s child, love is a fruit of your recreated human spirit (Galatians 5:22), and one wonderful quality of love is that it’s quick to forgive no matter how terrible it may be. Love is more powerful than any offence.
Remember the story of Joseph and his brothers? Though they sold him to slavery, he forgave them when they needed him during famine. He didn’t pay them evil for evil; rather, God used him to preserve their lives and their families (Genesis 45:1-8). That’s love!
Like Joseph, express God’s love the way he did with his brothers. Remember, God’s love is in you (Romans 5:5); so, be quick to forgive and forget.

Laughter is an expression of joy, and as God’s child, you should be joyful because joy is in your spirit (Galatians 5:22). Also, laughing is one of the ways to keep your body healthy and strong.
Therefore, refuse to let sadness, anger or bitterness into your spirit. These are negative emotions that can make one sick. Rather, stir up the joy of God in your spirit, and choose to remain cheerful, and joyful with a bubbling spirit no matter the situation before you.

Today’s memory verse reminds me of an inspiring story in the Bible. Abigail was the wife of a wicked man named Nabal. The man was unkind to David and his men. So, David was angry with him and planned to destroy every male in his family. But Abigail met David on the way and spoke kind words to him. Those words made David to change his mind, and he left without carrying out his plan (1 Samuel 25:28:35).
Kind words are like medicine; they can drive away anger, sorrow and brighten anyone’s day. So, be that child who always has a kind word for everyone.

Therefore, lead as an example in your manner of speaking, dressing and the way you treat others.
Live a life that’s a worthy example of our Kingdom so others may follow you. Remember, you’re a representative of God’s Kingdom here on earth (Colossians 3:17).

I encourage you to take the times of fellowship seriously, listen to the Word as it’s being taught. When it’s time for worship, let your heart be in it. They’re special times for blessings too!
Remember, the Bible says God is right in our midst when we fellowship together (Matthew 18:20), and He’s there with all His blessings to give to everyone.

Divine wisdom is a precious gift from God to you. It is what makes you say and do the right things all the time. This kind of wisdom isn’t gotten from reading school textbooks and dictionaries; rather, it comes from God through His Word.
While on earth, the Lord Jesus walked in divine wisdom. No wonder the people always marveled at Him (Mark 6:2).
You have this same wisdom working in you today (1 Corinthians 1:30). Therefore, walk in wisdom and excellence at school, home, everywhere and in all things.

It would be almost impossible to talk about faith without mentioning Abraham (Romans 4:11). He had strong faith (Hebrews 11:17). He believed the Lord for a son, refusing to consider his and his wife’s aged body or her barrenness. The Bible says He was strong in faith, always giving glory to God. In due time, his wife became pregnant and gave birth to a son. Hallelujah!
Remember, God has given all of His children the measure of faith (Romans 12:3). But it’s your responsibility to grow and strengthen yours so you can do great things. How? By studying the Word and doing whatever it says.

As a child, you don’t need to worry about things like your school fees, what you’re going to eat, how you’re going to get to school and so on. Why? Because your parents or guardians have got them sorted.
In the same way, God doesn’t want you worrying about anything because He’s got it all sorted. The Bible says that the Lord knows the end of everything from its beginning (Isaiah 46:10). That means before anything happens, He already knows about it, and how it’s going to end.
Therefore, put your trust in Him for He’s got great and wonderful plans for your life.

If you’ve been to an arsenal, what you would find there are weapons. These weapons are used in combats.
As Christians we have weapons too; they aren’t physical weapons but spiritual. This means you can’t see them with your eyes.
Our weapon as God’s children is His Word (Ephesians 6:10-17). God’s Word is a mighty weapon for the child of God. You can get rid of evil thoughts and turn situations around by speaking His Word in faith. Always remember that God’s Word is, “…living and active. It is sharper than any two-edged sword… (Hebrews 4:12 GW). Hallelujah!

David is a good example for us to follow. He was humble. This was one of the qualities God saw in him and He chose him to be king over Israel. As the anointed and chosen king, David never spoke badly of or acted against King Saul even when he knew he was going to replace him on the throne. No wonder David became Israel’s greatest king. His humility positioned him for greatness.
Like David, learn to be humble; speak politely, be gracious and respectful to those around you

No wonder David said, “Because the Lord is my Shepherd, I have everything I need” (Psalm 23:1 TLB). What a confession! So, like David, this should be your confession too. Then thank the Lord for His provisions!

After God created everything in the world, the birds, trees, sea, sky and so on, He said, "It was good" (Genesis 1:4-25). But when He created man, He said, "...it was very good..." (Genesis 1:31). The reason is that man is the best of all His creations, the crown of all He's made (James 1:18).
The moment you were born again, gain, you began to live a life of beauty and glory because you're the best of God's creation. Hallelujah!
So, as God's child, you shouldn't be sick, weak, or fail. You're too beautiful to be frail and sickly because God created you for a life of glory, beauty and excellence. Glory to God!

The Bible is full of stories of members of our family that faced difficult times; yet, they were all victorious.
So, are you faced with anything that seems difficult? Don’t be troubled; rather, be bold and in faith speak the Word of God, and you’ll win! Remember, you’re from a family where we always win. We are a lineage of victors! Glory to God!

The title of today’s article reminds me of an encounter I had with a man some time ago. The fellow who was sick in his mind was brought to me for healing. I simply sat with him day after day, teaching him God’s Word. After a while, he began to respond, until his mind was fully restored and he was healed.
God’s Word is powerful, and it can change any situation. It doesn’t matter how difficult things may seem.
Is there a situation you’d like to see a change in? Go ahead right now and speak the Word of God to it. It’ll respond to the power in the Word, and there will be a change forever.

As you develop and maintain the habit of studying the Word, you’re feeding and nourishing your spirit for spiritual growth.
So, go for the Word today; study, meditate, and also talk to others about it. This is how to feed your spirit and grow up in Christ. Hallelujah!

One of the ways to show you love God is in loving people. How do you treat the people around you: your classmates, neighbours, and those in God’s house? You should treat them as Jesus would: with love, respect and dignity.
God’s love has been shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5); therefore, let this love flow through, and let it be seen by others around you.
Don’t turn away from those who need your help, and share the Gospel with those in your world. This is how to express the love of God in you.

God wants you joyful at all times. He is happy to see you enjoying your life and bubbling with joy. That’s why the Bible says, ‘’for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Romans 14:17).
The Apostle Paul and Silas were very joyful people. Though they were in chains and imprisoned, they were still full of joy. No wonder they could praise God in that situation (Acts 16:25-40).
Therefore, live each day full of joy. Refuse to allow anything or anyone make you frown or sad. Remember, God wants you happy every day of this year.

The moment you received the Holy Spirit, you received the anointing. This is the anointing to do the impossible. However, you’ve got to stir it up to get it working for you. You do that by speaking in other tongues.
As you speak in other tongues, you stir up the gifts of the Holy Spirit in you, making it possible for miracles to take place.
Therefore, don’t take the gift of speaking in other tongues lightly. Speak in tongues every day; it’s the surest way to stir up the anointing in you.
