One morning, as the Lord Jesus was returning to Jerusalem, He felt hungry. He noticed a fig tree by the road and went to see if it had any fruit. But the tree had no fruit at all. Jesus then said to the tree, “May you never bear fruit again.” After speaking these words, He continued His journey.
By next morning, the fig tree had completely withered and died, just as Jesus had commanded. When Jesus spoke to the fig tree, He didn’t need to wait to see what would happen; He knew His words had power.
Like the Lord Jesus, you should have the same faith in the power of your words, knowing that what you say will happen! (Mark 11:13-21).

Today’s memory verse is beautiful! It talks about how we’re connected to the Lord Jesus, just like branches are connected to a vine.
As the branch of a tree produces fruits, you also produce good fruits when you stay connected to the Lord Jesus. To keep producing godly fruits, you must stay connected to the Lord.
But how? That’s by staying connected to His Word. You must make studying, meditating on, and talking the Word a habit. When you do this, it’ll produce in you fruits of excellence, righteousness, and joy. So, stay connected to the Lord through His Word, and keep producing good fruits!

DO YOUR CHORES DILIGENTLY
He who has a slack hand becomes poor, but the hand of the diligent makes rich. Proverbs 10:4

To be diligent is to be careful and dutiful. David was the youngest in his family, but he didn’t wait around, playing like some lastborns will do. He was given an important chore by his father: taking care of his father’s sheep. He did this task diligently.
When his father sent him on errands, even then, he made sure the sheep were well taken care of. The Bible showed us how he left the sheep with a keeper while he was away (1 Samuel 17:20). That’s diligence! It’s no wonder God chose him to be the king of Israel.
I’m sure you’ve got chores to do at home too just like David. Maybe it’s keeping your room tidy or helping to organize things around the house. Whatever it is, do it diligently and with the right attitude, just as David did.

LIES ARE HARMFUL
If you want a happy, good life, keep control of your tongue, and guard your lips from telling lies. 1 Peter 3:10 TLB

Some people think it’s okay to tell lies, even if they’re just small ones. But that’s not right at all. Even a tiny lie can cause a lot of harm. God doesn’t and cannot lie (Titus 1:2); it’s not in His character. If God doesn’t lie, why should you?
Do you know who loves lies? The devil. The Bible calls him ‘the father of lies’ (John 8:44 TLB).
The reason some tell a lie is because of fear. Therefore, refuse to be afraid of anything or anyone. Always stand firm, and speak the truth. When you tell the truth, you’ll be joyful, and live a good life.

Wouldn't it be strange to find oranges on a mango tree? That'll be weird because each tree produces fruits after its kind. Oranges only grow on orange trees, and mangoes only grow on mango trees.
Now that you're a child of God, you're a tree of righteousness, the planting of the LORD..." (Isaiah 61:3). Therefore, just as an orange tree can only produce oranges, you were designed to produce only fruits of righteousness.
Kindness, love, honesty, grace, and excellence, are the fruits that should be seen in your life. And everyone will know you're indeed a child of God!

The Christian life is one of unending victories and triumph. The word 'triumph' means a great and important victory. This is the life the Lord Jesus lived. He lived a life of great victories. He triumphed by healing deaf ears, lame legs, blind eyes and casting out devils. This is the same life He's given you.
Therefore, every day for you should be full of victories and praise reports. No wonder the Bible says, "all things work together for your good" (Romans 8:28). Hallelujah!
So, live in triumph every day through your faith-filled words!

Prayer is much more than you talking to God; it's also God talking to you. Sadly, not all of God's children know this. As soon as they're done praying, they hurry off and miss out on what He's telling them.
So, how do you know when the Lord is speaking to you? It's easy. Through His Word and His Spirit. It's the Holy Spirit who leads you to pray and brings God's Word you've studied to your heart. It's through His Word that He speaks to you.
So, when it's prayer time, be patient and listen to your heavenly Father, He's got a lot to say to you.

According to today's memory verse, the Lord Jesus is the vine and we're the branches. The branch of every tree is the part of the tree that produces the fruits and flowers. That means you're the part of Christ that produces fruits.
God expects you to bear fruits of kindness, love, success, peace and many more (Galatians 5:22). As God's child, you've been made fruitful in all things.
So, live a fruitful life everyday as you keep making your faith-filled declarations and fellowshipping with the Word.

Think about the mirror you have at home. When you’re all dressed up, you stand in front of it to see how nice you look. Isn’t it?
You should spend even more time looking into God’s mirror than you would before any mirror. God’s mirror is His Word, the Bible. Remember, God’s mirror shows you how He sees you and what He says about you. The more you look into His mirror, the more you become everything God says you are. Isn’t that wonderful?
So, before you leave your home today, make sure to look into God’s mirror, His Word. Hallelujah!

God created Adam and Eve and placed them in the beautiful Garden of Eden. He gave them one important instruction: not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Then came Satan; he entered the serpent, and tempted Eve to disobey God’s command. Sadly, both Adam and Eve listened to the serpent and disobeyed the Lord. As a result, they had to leave the Garden.
As a child of God, surround yourself with people who inspire you to love the Lord. You shouldn’t be friends with those who disobey the Lord and His Word. Your role models should be people who will inspire you on your faith and walk with the Lord.

It's the Lord's desire for His kids to live a life of progress and success. He doesn't want a life of "up today" and "down tomorrow" for you. Rather, He wants you to live an "upward and forward" life only! A life of continuous progress and success. Hallelujah!
That means you should be the best, not just for some time or in a few things, but all the time and in everything. Glory to God!
So, work at being the best as you pay more attention in class, be more diligent with your assignments, and more importantly, study and meditate on God's Word always.

Isn't it great to know God hears you every time you pray? Even if you feel it's just a whispered prayer, God heard it. And if He heard it, it means you can expect an answer too.
But, it's sad to see some of God's kids who after praying, forget what they've asked for, and when the answer comes, they don't even recognise it. This shouldn't be so with you. When you pray in the Name of Jesus, don't forget what you've prayed about, because God has heard you. So, be excited and expect answers to your prayers.

God loves helping His children. No matter what the situation is, if you call on Him, He'll be there to help you. He said, "Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you" (Psalm 50:15).
Remember Peter? He was thrown in jail and was going to be killed. But, the church prayed for him, and the Lord sent an angel to rescue him (Acts 12:5-7). Hallelujah!
The Lord is always ready to help His children. All you have to do is ask Him in faith and you'll have the miracle you desire.

FAITH IS OUR WEAPON

In the Old Testament, the children of Israel fought many wars but always came out victoriously. In the New Testament, the Bible refers to us as the "Israel of God" (Galatians 6:15-16). But, unlike Israel in the Old Testament, our weapons of war aren't made of steel and wood but of faith.
The Bible says our faith is the victory that overcomes the world ( 1 John 5:4). As God's child, you've got faith; it was given to you when you made Jesus Lord of your life (Romans 12:3). Through faith, you've been declared a winner in every area of your life (Romans 8:37).
So, live in victory every day through your faith-filled declarations.

YOUR ADVOCATE
My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 1 John 2:1

An advocate is somebody who speaks on behalf and in defence of another person. For example, lawyers are advocates.
As God's child, you have an Advocate with God, the Father; His name is Jesus. As your Advocate, He stands before the Father speaking on your behalf. He isn't trying to convince God to do anything for you. Remember that God already loves you. This is just another way for Him to show how much He loves you. Hallelujah!
So, you see why you should never feel sad or discouraged? You have an Advocate appointed by the Father for your victory.
