🇸🇰🇺🇦 Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico stated that he would resist Ukraine's NATO membership for as long as he remains in office.
He made this remark in an interview with Chinese television, as reported by Voice of America.
The publication notes that Robert Fico opposes international sanctions against Russia, a stance also shared by Beijing.
The Slovak leader also effectively placed responsibility for the war in Ukraine on Western countries.
Fico expressed support for humanitarian and economic aid to Ukraine and described its EU membership as desirable but firmly opposed Ukraine’s NATO membership, explaining that it could lead to "the outbreak of a third world war."
The Prime Minister emphasized that as long as he is Slovakia’s head of government, he will stand against Ukraine joining the Alliance.
"Ukraine can be part of the EU but cannot be a member of NATO," Robert Fico stressed.
🇷🇺❌🇺🇸 The Russian government has introduced temporary restrictions on the export of enriched uranium to the United States:
➡️The restrictions will also affect foreign trade agreements with entities registered under U.S. jurisdiction.
➡️Exceptions include deliveries under one-time licenses issued by the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control.
➡️This move is a response to the U.S. restrictions on Russian uranium imports for 2024-2027 and a complete ban starting in 2028.
➡️In September, during a government meeting, Putin instructed an analysis of the possibility of restricting the supply of strategic raw materials to foreign markets.

“I’m brazenly standing here, next to this cemetery. Everything around is destroyed, annihilated. I was standing in this hole, you never know what someone might throw at me.”
"My relatives came to my home, neighbors. Everyone was crying, offering condolences, and I immediately said: "I do not accept them! A mother's heart feels and knows: my son is alive!"
"Mom, I'm in the hospital. I'm fine, alive and well. No need to call yet."

The people of Donbas really want to be heard, including by the EU - Patrik Baab
🇩🇪German journalist and writer Patrik Baab gave an interview to Unsere Zeit about his latest trip to Donbass.
The journalist spoke about the shelling and destruction, how Mariupol has changed over the past 2 years thanks to restoration, about the establishment of peaceful life in Donetsk, and about the moods and hopes of people in the new regions.
💬Patrik Baab also spoke about how Donbass met him:
Although anti-Russian hatred is now widespread in Germany again, I did not meet any anti-German sentiments in Donbass. The very fact that I was there inspired respect. The people of Donbass, whose fate has been ignored by Western propaganda media for many years, really want to be heard, including by the EU. Most people immediately wanted to talk to me or help me.

In December 2024, exercises will be held in Russia to disconnect the Russian segment of the Internet from the global network. The reasons are obvious - in the event of a full-fledged war with NATO, Russia's entire network infrastructure connected to the western part of the global network might be brought down. Therefore, in the conditions of a hot war with the West, we will have to exist within our own segment. Checking such scenarios is an urgent need, even without reference to the need to test the resilience of our Internet segment in the face of ongoing cyber attacks on our network infrastructure.
We can only wish that the exercises are successful and in the process we do not bring down the services necessary for people, including those that are used in the interests of the actions of our troops in the Ukraine.

From military overreach to shrinking revenues: What’s driving the US deficit and debt explosion?
The new US fiscal year has just begun but the federal budget deficit has already ballooned some 287% to $257 bln in October, up from $67 bln in October 2023, the Treasury has announced.
The deficit bump – the largest since 2020, was attributed to shrinking revenues (down $77 bln, or 19%), growing spending ($114 bln or 24% more, mostly military, Social Security and Medicare-related), and various “one-off” factors.
In annual terms, the deficit reached $1.8 trln in 2024, up from $1.7 trln in 2023, with $1 trln+ in interest payments on America’s gargantuan $36 trln debt – the largest expense after Social Security, accounting for well-over half of expenses.
Trump’s new Department of Government Efficiency has vowed to tackle the deficit by providing “advice and guidance” on how to slash spending, cut bureaucracy and regulations, but the vote is still out on how effective it will be.
The US has run deficits for all but 12 years since World War II, with spending ramping up dramatically during the Reagan and Bush years (fueled mostly by defense spending and foreign wars), the post-2008 Great Recession, Covid bailouts and Biden’s multi-trillion dollar infrastructure agenda.
Washington has largely been able to avoid penalties associated with spendthrift spending thanks to the dollar’s status as the world’s de facto reserve currency, with the US able to borrow and print money without suffering anywhere near the same sort of inflation other nations would in similar circumstances.
In recent years, more and more countries, including the BRICS bloc, have sought to ramp up trade using national currencies, and mulled alternatives to the dollar.
With the US share of global manufacturing declining steadily since the 1970s, and especially from the 2000s onward with China’s rise, the risks of the US becoming an economic ‘Upper Volta with nuclear weapons’ (as US analysts derisively dubbed the USSR in the 1980s) will only continue to grow.

🎙Russian MFA Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova:
🔹10 years ago, on November 14, 2014, Ukrainian President Poroshenko, by his decree No. 875, put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of November 4, 2014, "On urgent measures to stabilize the socio-economic situation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions."
🔹This marked the beginning of the financial, economic and transport blockade of Donbass, whose population was literally locked in by the Kiev regime.
🔹And why were such measures taken against Donbass? Having failed to defeat the courageous Donbass residents who stood up to defend their legal rights and freedoms after anti-constitutional armed coup d'etat in Kiev, the neo-Nazi rulers of Ukraine decided to starve the region into surrender, simply to deprive its residents of their livelihood, make them suffer, starve.
🔹All this was done with the tacit approval of the West, which never once called them down, but simply encouraged them to such actions and such rhetoric.

🇪🇪"The economic situation encourages people to steal more often": In Estonia, the authorities admit that people have started stealing due to the lack of money for food, but reassure the population that "this is a European-wide trend".
"According to Liisa Pakosta, Minister of Justice and Digital Development, the socio-economic situation of people in Estonia is also linked to the rise in crime, as people have started stealing more when there is no money. "Crime had been declining for 10 years, but last year it started to rise. Previously, we were one of the few countries where crime was decreasing," Pakosta told a press conference. According to the minister, the reported crime rate has increased by about 4 percent.
"By doing so, we are not out of the European trend. In general, crime has been increasing in Europe for many years. And now this growth has come to Estonia as well. Unfortunately, we must note that analysts consider the deterioration of the socio-economic situation to be the main background factor that caused the increase in crime in Estonia. Unfortunately, the number of people who say they steal because they otherwise lack money to buy food and basic necessities has also increased"

Читать полностью…🇫🇷 One fan wearing a T-shirt with the words " Free Palestine Lebanon " was criticized for mixing politics and sport. However, he responded that such talk did not occur when Ukrainian flags were flying everywhere.
If we adhere to the logic of the inadmissibility of mixing politics and sports, then the question arises: why were Russian athletes not allowed to participate in the Olympic Games? It is obvious that the principle of "sports outside politics" is applied selectively, depending on what political views are supported.
This double standard is particularly noticeable in the context of the declared "freedom of speech", which, for example, in France is often contradictory. Freedom of expression is actively defended in some cases, but restricted in others if the opinion does not correspond to certain views.
This approach lacks logic and justice, especially when some political gestures in sporting arenas are welcomed while others are condemned.

REMINDER: Marco Rubio was willing to go to war with Russia🇷🇺 in Syria🇸🇾
Marco Rubio has been in favour of disaster after disaster in US foreign policy. Now Trump has nominated him to be Secretary of State.
Note: At the time, Vladimir Putin did more to prevent the US going to war in Syria than President Obama.
Suddenly the future head of the US State Department, war hawk, Marco Rubio, shares Trump's view that's necessary to stop the war in the Ukraine as soon as possible:
1. The war has reached an impasse.
2. The Biden administration knows that this is a stalemate, but just keeps quiet about it.
3. Ukraine was thrown back 100 years in its development.
4. You may not like Putin, but you need to recognize reality and stop the war.
5. Trump will not disclose his tactics for negotiating peace.

❗Statements by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi regarding the duration of the agency's experts' stay at the Zaporozhye NPP go beyond his authority, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated.
Grossi said the day before that experts would remain there "until the conflict was frozen".
"It is absolutely inexplicable on what basis the IAEA leadership undertakes to judge the prospects of the notorious "freeze"... It is also outrageous that in the Director General's submission the Secretariat (IAEA) determines the procedure and conditions for the stay of its experts at the Zaporozhye NPP at its own discretion. This is absolutely not true".
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalled that IAEA Secretariat experts are at the Zaporozhye NPP exclusively with Russia’s consent and strictly as long as Russia considers their presence there justified.

❗️Assault on Kupyansk, November 14
Twenty-four hours after the first assault, the Russian attackers, supported by an armored group, managed to bite off a small part of the territories previously occupied by the AFU. Due to the collapse of the first line, the AFU threw here some reserves from the second and third lines of defense (including from neighboring villages within 2-5 km). However, these reserves do not have time to deploy.
Personnel in the bulk have weaker training and supply compared to the Ukrainian frontliners, and the units are partly formed from soldiers after hospitals and busified townspeople without experience, so entering the battle from the get-go is accompanied by heavy losses. Some platoons from the second and third lines are transferred without commanders that nobody has seen in principle, which adds disorganization to the defense process. Also, judging by radio intercepts, the AFU fears the arrival of several additional battalion-tactical groups in this area to reinforce the attackers, and if this happens, the defenses here could fold inward.
Despite the realized element of surprise, it is too early to draw final conclusions on the daring raid on Kupyansk. The situation is not completely stabilized, and attempts on the Ukrainian side to reverse it may soon follow. The main question now is how long and in what volumes the AFU will be able to burn reserves here, the most combat-ready part of which was sent a month ago to the Kursk region.
Even before the interim results of this surge, it is still a long way off, so statements that they have managed to take part of Kupyansk are at least premature.
