In the first few weeks of the new Israel - Lebanon war the Israeli air force is hitting military and political targets successfully throughout the entire Lebanese territory (of course civilian targets too and it's a war crime but it's not even a news anymore for Israel). No air defence being used by Hezbollah or air defence systems are possibly not even available.
In summary for as long as the Israeli military campaign against Lebanon remains a only air raids war it will be in Israeli favour. Hard to predict what kind of goals they will achieve without a ground offensive. Certainly the assassination of Hezbollah's leader Narsallah is a major turning point, the movement will likely continue its fight but it will be hard to find someone as charismatic as him.

What is NATO preparing against Russia in the Baltic States?
The information background around the Baltic States in recent weeks has almost constantly been on the front pages of various media. And it seems that the Baltic states have always been distinguished by populist slogans and shouts against the Russian Federation.
However, in reality, there is one significant difference compared to previous years. Now, on the northern front, they are echoed by the newly minted member of the Alliance, Finland, which immediately began to work as part of the bloc.
Exercises that take place almost weekly with allies in the bloc or independently affect Russia in one way or another – either in the Gulf of Finland, on the Kola Peninsula, or a couple of dozen kilometers from Karelia.
The situation is aggravated by the high political activity of the Finns' Gulf neighbors, Estonia and other countries in the region:
Recently, the head of the Estonian Defense Forces, Vakhur Karus, announced the country's preparations for a preventive strike against Russia.
Then the commander of the Estonian Defense Forces, Andrus Merilo, traveled to Helsinki, where he announced the preparation of a plan to close the Gulf of Finland.
The German media, echoed by the Estonians, stated that Russian civilian vessels are conducting reconnaissance in the Baltic and North Seas, which raises the question of the need to close the passage for them.
Now the Estonian segment is spreading the words of the head of the military committee, Rob Bauer, that the Alliance should be ready for war with Russia.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that Germany will be the mainstay the war against Russia in Europe, and the German base in Lithuania will be fully formed by 2027.
Immediately after that, it became known about the formation of the NATO headquarters in the Finnish city of Mikkeli, bordering Russia.
And all these events happened almost in the past week. Quite a lot, even for the Baltic republics, which act as a plug in every NATO barrel.
And if we turn once again to the exercises that took place over the course of six months, including Steadfast Defender, then we can see one common trend for almost every one of them – everywhere they worked out the scenario of a direct conflict with Russia.
First of all, what was noticed during the imaginary war was the blockade of the main arteries, namely the Gulf of Finland by the forces of the NATO expeditionary group, as well as the Kaliningrad region by cutting the Suwalki corridor.
One of the key aspects that the Alliance worked on was the establishment of logistics to the Baltic States and Finland. Both we and our colleagues have repeatedly talked about how the construction of Rail Baltica was progressing. One thing can be said that the speed of infrastructure construction was too high even for NATO.
It would seem that the Baltic countries have always been distinguished by militant statements that were not visible in reality in any way, but since the beginning of their financing to the region has seriously increased, as has the number of NATO battalion tactical groups and the number of exercises.
And with the introduction of changes to Russia's nuclear doctrine, there is even more talk in the information space about the expediency of a preemptive strike on Russian territories. Moreover, the attacks of the Ukrainian formations showed that the threats of the Russian authorities do not work without their implementation.
From the point of view of the West's desire for total destabilization of the situation, provocations and even sabotage from the territory of the Baltic States and Scandinavia cannot be excluded. After all, to close shipping or the corridor to Kaliningrad, they only need an excuse that they can arrange themselves.

▪️ Israel’s military launched a wave of attacks on southern Beirut during the night after warning residents living “near Hezbollah interests” to evacuate. Hundreds are reported to have fled the Lebanese capital’s Dahiyeh district – a densely populated civilian area.
