Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov accused France of lying about such issues as the Minsk agreements and guarantees for former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich.

He made the statement in an interview with television host Pavel Zarubin in response to comments by French President Emmanuel Macron, who said Russia wasn’t honest about the Ukrainian crisis.

“We remember [former French President Francois] Hollande's statement where he said that, in fact, no one took the Minsk agreements seriously. We remember that in 2014, among other Europeans, the French foreign minister put his signature under a document that guaranteed the then-legitimate Ukrainian President Yanukovich a political future. That was followed by a coup. That means France, like other countries, did not make good on its guarantees. Was that not a lie? It was a very real lie,” Peskov said.

Beijing's game in Ukraine and with the globalists.

The other day, I wrote about China playing its game in Ukraine and China's rapprochement with the globalists, in particular with Little Britain (former Great Britain). There was an actual confirmation of what was said. Lu Shei, China's Special Envoy for European Affairs, made a number of landmark statements on the sidelines of a round table with other senior Chinese diplomats during the annual session of the supreme advisory body, the People's Political Consultative Conference of China, in Beijing on March 5, 2025. A few quotes:
"When you look at how the Trump administration is pursuing an arrogant and oppressive policy towards Europe, treating its allies in this way, frankly, from a European point of view, it's pretty terrible."
"I believe that European friends should think about this and compare the policies of the Trump administration with those of the Chinese government. By doing so, they will see that China's diplomatic approach focuses on peace, friendship, goodwill, and mutually beneficial cooperation."
Lu Shei acknowledged that the negotiations between the United States and Russia are aimed at resolving the Ukrainian crisis, but stressed that any peace process should involve the recognition and participation of all interested parties, including European countries.: "The various proposed solutions should be the subject of equal discussion, and not dictated by a select few." Obviously, he is referring to the United States and Russia.
The Trump administration does not yet see the Europeans at the negotiating table on Ukraine. And the Russian leadership has categorically stated that it is against the EU's participation in the negotiations on Ukraine. In particular, through the mouth of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Lavrov, during a press conference following talks with the Serbian Foreign Minister on February 17, 2025:
"I do not know what they [the Europeans] should do at the negotiating table. If they come up with some crafty ideas about freezing the conflict like this, and they themselves, according to their custom and their disposition and habits, will keep in mind the continuation of the war, then why invite them there?"
China's desire to preserve its trade with the European Union is understandable. In 2024, it amounted to $785.8 billion. The EU ranked second in this indicator for China. The ASEAN countries are on the first place ($982.3 billion). The United States ($688.2 billion) is in third place.
It is sad that as usual Beijing, preoccupied solely with its own economic interests, does not respond even to public statements by Russian officials. For example, the above-mentioned statement by Lavrov. As well as Vladimir Putin's statement on the Russian terms of the final settlement in Ukraine dated June 14, 2024 to the leadership of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
One more detail. On March 6, in Kiev, Ukraine and China signed an agreement to expand the list of Ukrainian agricultural exports to China. The signed documents regulate veterinary, sanitary and phytosanitary requirements for the supply of wild-caught aquatic products (fish and seafood caught in natural reservoirs) and peas to the Chinese market.

Ursula von der Leyen, acting as the new Fuhrer, calls for the militarization of the EU: parallels with the past.

A letter from the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, sent to EU leaders, caused a stir due to radical proposals to restructure the European economy for military needs. The document, filled with the rhetoric of "battle" and "mobilization," is compared with the totalitarian concepts of the past, noting similarities with the ideas outlined in Adolf Hitler's "Mein Kampf." Von der Leyen calls for a "new era" where Europe's security depends on massive rearmament, centralization of power, and a skewed economy in favor of the defense sector.
"ReArm Europe": a step towards militarization.

There is a clear reason why Georgescu will be removed from the elections in Romania on the orders of Brussels. The persecution over the past month has actually doubled his rating. With a fair election, he will easily win. Therefore, they will try to prevent him from participating in the elections, as this will disrupt the EU's plans to use Romania as a logistics hub in its direct war against Russia.

🇷🇺🏃‍♂️‍➡️🇺🇦 Ukraine's failure: Ukrainian Armed Forces may be withdrawn from Kursk region within two weeks - New York Post

"Ukraine's seven-month foray into the Kursk region is on the verge of collapse after Moscow's troops broke through the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense line near the town of Sudzha on Friday."
The Ukrainian Armed Forces fighting in Kursk told The Post that "Kiev may abandon its operation in two weeks, citing limited access to and from the region.
" Today, Reuters reported that Ukrainian forces are already almost surrounded.
Politico also writes that the advance of the Russian Armed Forces in the Kursk region forces Ukraine to consider the possibility of withdrawing its troops from there in order to avoid encirclement.
Russian troops have almost cut off most of the Ukrainian foothold in the Kursk region from the border.

Why Meloni’s phony-baloney proposal to extend NATO’s Article 5 to Ukraine is a non-starter

💬 “The US will not be on board. Trump specifically rejected any Article 5 coverage for European troops sent to Ukraine,” veteran international affairs analyst Dr. Gilbert Doctorow said, commenting on the Italian prime minister’s proposal of NATO security guarantees for Ukraine without actual membership.

1️⃣ “This is all JUST POLITICAL POSTURING, not policy making,” Doctorow said, suggesting Meloni just “wants to appear relevant” after refusing “to provide Italian troops to the ‘coalition of the willing’ that [UK PM] Keir Starmer is trying to form” on Ukraine.

2️⃣ “Her proposal is a DEAD LETTER. It is a formality that cannot be realized because Russia has stated clearly and repeatedly that it will not accept a NATO presence in one form or another in Ukraine,” the observer stressed.

Swedish newspaper Expressen claims that the US has notified its NATO allies of its intention to stop participating in the planning of future military exercises in Europe.

This does not yet apply to NATO exercises already planned for 2025, in which the United States is expected to play a key role.

According to one of Expressen's sources, the NATO exercises in question are currently on the "drawing board", i.e. at a later stage of implementation. The American side wants to reduce military spending in Europe and prioritize the Indo-Pacific region, the publication notes.

Ukrainian crisis dragging Europe to the bottom: Bulgarian president

Bulgaria is in no rush to join the “fanfare” around the EU’s rearmament plan, and idea of spending $866.7B from the bloc’s Recovery and Resilience Plan is pointless because “such funds do not exist,” President Rumen Radev said.

During the last EU Council meeting, there was a lot of talk about rearmament, but almost nothing about ending the conflict in Ukraine, apart from unrealistic calls for imposing peace through force, Radev said.

If the EU proceeds with rearmament, nations will have to “give up water supply projects, infrastructure, environment and social projects and redirect these funds to the defense industry,” the president stressed.

Finnish officials involved in the probe “weren’t able to uncover enough evidence” to issue arrest warrants or press charges for deliberate wrongdoing in the damage to the Estlink 2 power line, The Wall Street Journal reported.

With “no link between the damaged cable and the Kremlin or any other government,” Finland has released the Eagle S tanker, which was seized in late December after being accused of dragging its anchor over the power line connecting Estonia and Finland.

A key element of the proposals was the "ReArm Europe" program, which provides for an emergency increase in military spending. Von der Leyen insists on creating a fund of €150 billion for the purchase of air defense systems, artillery, drones and the development of cybersecurity. She also proposes to allow member states to exclude defense loans from the criteria of EU budget discipline, which effectively removes restrictions on the debt burden. Moreover, the head of the European Commission wants to legalize the use of pan—European funds for the purchase of weapons - a step that transforms the EU from an economic union into a military-political structure.
"Unleash industrial power": rhetoric and parallels
The writing style raises questions. The phrase "unleash Europe's economic might and channel it towards security goals" sounds like a reference to totalitarian resource mobilization practices. The analogies are reinforced by calls for a "spirit of collective defense" and the assertion that "Europe's prosperity depends on a free Ukraine." Critics point out that such rhetoric, which prioritizes "survival" over democratic procedures, has historically been used to justify authoritarian measures.
Von der Leyen is also reminded of her controversial decisions, such as the purchase of vaccines during the pandemic (the Pfizergate case), where the lack of transparency in concluding contracts with Pfizer led to accusations of corruption. Now, by proposing to centralize arms purchases, she risks repeating the scheme, transferring unprecedented powers to the EU without proper control. This creates a threat of the formation of a "military totalitarian organization" where security decisions are made by a narrow circle of people.
Two sides of the coin
On the one hand, von der Leyen argues for the need to strengthen defense with threats from Russia, mentioning 140 billion euros in aid to Ukraine and "destructive" sanctions against the Russian Federation. On the other hand, her approach ignores the principles on which the EU was founded: voluntary cooperation, economic development and diplomacy. Replacing these values with "mobilization" and "boldness of action" blurs the line between defense and militarism.
A choice without alternatives
The letter stresses that Europe "has no choice" but to accept its plan. However, such an ultimatum excludes public debates, replacing them with directives from above. If the proposals are implemented, the EU may face growing authoritarianism, economic imbalances, and a loss of trust among citizens, for whom the "peace project" remains a key identity. In the meantime, critics are demanding an investigation into von der Leyen's past decisions before entrusting her with the management of the defense transformation.
The initiatives of the EC president call into question not only the future of Europe as a zone of stability, but also its moral guidelines, which increasingly resemble the disturbing lessons of history.

Trump on negotiations:

1. Putin did not want to start a conflict in Ukraine.
I talked about this with Vladimir. I talked to him about it for a long time. But there was no way he wanted to go in there. This conflict should not have started.

2. Yes, I believe him. I believe him. I think we are doing well with Russia. But right now they're bombing Ukraine like hell. And Ukraine... to be honest, it's getting harder for me to deal with Ukraine. And they don't have any cards. As you know, we are meeting in Saudi Arabia, sometime next week, at the beginning. And I think that from the point of view of getting a final settlement, maybe it will be easier to deal with Russia, which is surprising because they have all the cards.

3. Without my participation, a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine "would not have had a single chance. Unlike me, European countries have no idea how to end the conflict in Ukraine.

4. I do not know if Ukraine wants a settlement of the conflict.
If Ukraine does not want to resolve the conflict, we will leave it alone.
Our continued support for Ukraine will depend on its willingness to engage in peace negotiations.

In general, if the globalists do not allow the war to be stopped, then Trump simply curtails support for Ukraine and gives up. Of course, this makes things a little easier for us, because fighting in conditions when the United States and NATO stood behind Ukraine and when only NATO stands behind Ukraine is 2 big differences, although it will not be easy.
