Germany’s Uniper has won arbitration proceedings against a Gazprom subsidiary.
Uniper launched arbitration proceedings against Gazprom Export in 2022, claiming damages due to undelivered gas supplies.
Only limited gas had been delivered since June 2022, and the company halted purchases completely in August of that year after the EU introduced sanctions on Moscow over the Ukraine conflict. The Nord Stream pipelines were blown up the following month.
However, the long-term supply contracts between the two companies remained legally in force. Gazprom Export said at the time that it did not admit to breaching the contracts and pledged to dispute Uniper’s claim for compensation.

Putin signs Moon-station deal with China
The agreement with Beijing is aimed at consolidating Russia’s leading role in space exploration, Moscow has said.
The document, in which the president validates a deal first agreed by Moscow and Beijing in 2022, was published Wednesday on Russia’s official legal information portal.
The ratification law last month passed the lower house of the Russian parliament, the State Duma, and last week was approved by the upper house, the Federation Council.
The agreement to cooperate on the Moon station “meets Russia’s interests because it will contribute to strengthening Russia’s strategic partnership with China” and will provide for “the consolidation of Russia’s leading role in the exploration of outer space, including in the exploration and use of the Moon,” an explanatory note to the law reads.

BRICS developing platform for transactions in national currencies

Russia ready to strike NATO airfields hosting Ukrainian jets
The head of Kiev’s air force, Sergey Golubtsov, previously stated that some F-16s donated to his country will be based abroad.
F-16 fighter jets and any airfields they are based at will be legitimate targets for the Russian military if they participate in combat missions against Moscow’s forces, the chairman of the Russian State Duma Defense Committee, Andrey Kartapolov, has warned.
The comments come as Kiev prepares to receive the first delivery of US-made fighter jets from its Western backers, after Ukrainian pilots were trained to fly them.
In a statement to RIA, Kartapolov clarified that if the F-16s “are not used for their intended purpose” or are simply held in storage at foreign airbases with the intent to transfer them to Ukraine, where they will be equipped, maintained, and flown from Ukrainian airfields, then Russia would have no claims against its “former partners” and would not target them.

About the alleged first defeat of the Su-57 fighter jet in the Astrakhan region.

What are we talking about?
Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian side has been citing alleged satellite images of the airplane's parking lot at the airfield. These images show that on June 7, the fifth-generation fighter jet stands on the runway without damage, and the next day craters from an explosion and characteristic burning stains appeared near it, probably from the arrival of a drone.
What data is available for analysis?
The distance from the possible launch site to the airfield in Akhtubinsk is 646 kilometers. Given that a range of 1,000 km is not a problem for modern drones, this is a realistic version.
Shortly before the reported attack on Akhtubinsk, there was an attempt to hit the airfield in Mozdok. It is highly probable that these events are connected.
How could the Su-57 have ended up in Akhtubinsk? The 929th State Flight Test Center named after V.P. Chkalov is located there. While still a prototype under the T-50 index, the fifth-generation fighter was tested there. It is not known how many machines are there, but most likely we are talking about either prototypes being tested or mock-ups for equipment development.
What's the bottom line?
The airfield site in Akhtubinsk is declared by the Ukrainian side as a military airfield, but in fact, the Chkalov Flight Center is more of a research facility. It is not known about the performance of regular combat sorties from its territory, but this does not mean that they did not take place.
If the Su-57 hit had been a strike against formation fighters, the satellite images would probably show a group of machines and ground-based airfield equipment. The photos provided by the GSD clearly show only one vehicle and some equipment, the origin of which is unclear.
Apparently, the test site is perceived by the Ukrainian side as a suitable object for a media strike (with no consequences on the battlefield), and the defense of such a facility should be approached in the same way as conventional military airfields: hangars, electronic warfare complexes and mobile firing groups.

NATO ‘crossed red line’ – Austria
Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner has criticized Western states for allowing Kiev to use their weapons to strike Russia.
Several NATO members have openly supported the use of Western-produced armaments for cross-border strikes against Russia in recent weeks, ostensibly in a limited manner. Some countries back out of plans to attend Swiss-hosted Ukraine conference
Some countries backed out of plans to attend the "peace conference" on Ukraine in Switzerland, prompting the number of participating nations to drop from 93 to 78, according to the Ukrainian service of Radio Liberty (designated in Russia as a foreign media agent and included in the register of undesirable organizations).
The report, which cites unidentified EU diplomats, didn’t name the countries that pulled out of the conference. One diplomat said the number of withdrawals could rise.

Zelensky bitterly disappointed with Сhina

Russian instructors to train African military personnel
Vice President of Equatorial Guinea Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue has met with Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yunus-Bek Yevkurov.
The agreement was reached during the meeting between Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yunus-Bek Yevkurov and the African vice president.
“Equatorial Guinea and Russia have signed a military training agreement. This agreement will enable Russian instructors to travel to the country to train soldiers from various corps of the national army,” Obiang said in a message on X (formerly Twitter).
In a statement released on the government website, the vice president mentioned that Yevkurov’s visit to Malabo had elevated relations between the two countries to “a higher level,” particularly in multi-sectoral cooperation with a focus on defense and security.

The right wing’s gains in the European elections are a logical pushback against leaders that care more for Kiev than their own citizens.

Rosneft chief reveals cost EU paid for rejecting Russian gas
Members of the bloc have shelled out $630 billion to replace Moscow’s resources, Igor Sechin has said.
The figure is close to investments made in the bloc into so-called green energy over the same period of time, describing it as quadruple the aggregated gross domestic product of the Baltic states and equal to the total volume of the Swedish and Polish economies.
“The sum also equals the EU’s total gas spending over the previous eight years,” the Rosneft chief highlighted.
Higher energy costs are “eating up” the margins of energy-intensive sectors such as production of steel, fertilizers, chemicals, ceramics, and glass, Sechin claimed, adding that production activity in the euro area has been declining since the middle of 2022.
He stressed that 32% of German enterprises are already planning to transfer their production facilities abroad due to increased energy costs that inevitably deprive them of competitive advantage.

NATO chief scraps €100 billion Ukraine fund plan
