Idea of using US weapons for strikes on Russia comes from hotheads in Congress — Kremlin
According to Dmitry Peskov, the general fairway of Washington's foreign policy is aimed at "provoking war to the last Ukrainian"
"There are many hotheads in Congress who would like to further provoke tensions and who follow the general fairway of Washington's foreign policy aimed at provoking war to the last Ukrainian," Peskov said.
On Tuesday, the Politico newspaper cited a letter by lawmakers from both parties in the US House of Representatives demanding the Joe Biden administration allowed Ukraine to strike Russian territory using US weapons. The letter called on US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin to authorize "the use of US-provided weapons to strike strategic targets within Russian territory under certain circumstances". According to the congressmen, "It is essential the Biden Administration allows Ukraine's military leaders the ability to conduct a full spectrum of operations necessary."

🇺🇸 🪖 Founder of the largest American PMC Blackwater Erik Prince: [Why are we sending another 60 billion dollars to Ukraine].
Much of this money goes to five major defense contractors to replace the five times more expensive weapons we have already sent to the Ukrainians. So, you know, if we send them something that was built ten years ago, it will now cost four or five times more. So, again, this is a massive scam, paid for by the Pentagon, which doesn't know how to buy things cheaply. It won't change the outcome of the battle.
... You know, the maps move depending on military victories, diplomatic breakthroughs. And now the Russians are winning, and they will have a very good summer.
Deploying Western troops to Ukraine to trigger world war — top Hungarian diplomat
Peter Szijjarto stressed that Hungarians grew "tired of the attempts to drag all of Europe and even the entire world into the war".
He noted that the Hungarians "have already grown weary of these dangerous statements" which continue to be voiced over the Ukrainian conflict. "We’ve grown tired of the attempts to drag all of Europe and even the entire world into the war. We are tired of the talk about deploying ground troops and using nuclear arms in Ukraine," the top Hungarian diplomat said.
In relation to this, he expressed hope that at elections to the European Parliament on June 6-9 voters will be able to "send a signal to European politicians who are talking nonsense." The Hungarian government is essentially saying that the issue of war and peace will be resolved at these elections and asking to support those political parties that oppose the continuation of the armed conflict in Ukraine.

Zelensky ‘yelling at generals’ – The Economist
The Ukrainian president allegedly believes that he is being kept in the dark about the situation at the front.
Purported fits of presidential rage were mentioned in a Monday report on the situation in Kharkov Region, where Russian forces have gained significant ground over the last month. According to the British newsweekly, Ukrainian troops deployed there are angry at the development and have competing theories about the causes.
Some blame the US and its allies for insufficient and untimely aid, not unlike Zelensky himself, while others “suspect that incompetence, or even treachery, played a more significant role.” There are also “conspiracy theories” about politicians in Kiev and Washington conspiring to sell the territory “down the river ahead of an ugly peace deal.”

Ukrainians abroad get ready...
Men removed from military registration due to travel abroad for a period of more than 3 months are required to return to Ukraine and personally arrive at the TCC before June 16 to return to registration.
This is stated in Cabinet Resolution No. 563.
It says that men abroad are subject to military registration on the same basis as men in Ukraine. And they have 30 days from the date of entry into force of the government decree of June 16 to appear at the TCC.
And those who will now go abroad will no longer be deregistered.
Notifications from the TCC will be transmitted by consulates. They will also “assist” the return of men from abroad.

⚡️🇩🇪🇺🇦 Germany considers Zelensky a legitimate president of Ukraine even after the end of his five-year term in office
This was stated by German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock. It is Russia that is playing a "treacherous game" and questioning the legitimacy of Zelensky because Ukraine cannot hold elections in the conditions of war, Berbock told journalists in Kiev.
The question is, how did Russia manage to hold elections in the regions affected by the war and under constant Ukrainian attacks? Such as Belgorod, Crimea, or the recently incorporated Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye?
What prevented Zelensky from holding elections abroad, online, in all regions that are far from the frontline?

NATO countries already training troops in Ukraine
This will not lead to an escalation between the US-led military bloc and Russia, Kaja Kallas has insisted.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova responded by urging the Estonian leader to inform the public about the less savory aspects of these missions.
“Some nations are already getting their trainers back. But they keep mum about that. I hope brave Kaja will give the details,” she wrote on social media.
Kallas is one of the most outspoken supporters of Kiev’s war effort against Russia, and has been critical of Western politicians who are hesitant to ramp up military aid for Ukraine.
Her claim that the deployment of NATO instructors to Ukraine would not result in a direct confrontation with Russia was based on the fact that these military personnel are not covered by the alliance’s Article 5 mutual protection clause.

Sergey Ryabkov is confident that "everyone is now assessing the political messages that were sent" during Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to China.
Our opponents, including the US and its satellites, are undoubtedly concerned about increasingly close ties between China and Russia," the senior diplomat pointed out.
"This is very important because it is the major stabilizing factor in today’s international politics and international life," Ryabkov noted.
The deputy foreign minister said that Putin’s China visit was, without exaggeration, a historic event. "A big step was taken towards expanding our cooperation with regard to almost the entire range of work we are doing," he concluded.

EU won’t transfer income from frozen assets to Russia even after sanctions are lifted
According to the document, "the rules protecting sovereign assets are not applicable to these revenues"
"Unexpected and extraordinary revenues do not have to be made available to the Central Bank of Russia under applicable rules, even after the discontinuation of the transaction prohibition. Thus, they do not constitute sovereign assets. Therefore, the rules protecting sovereign assets are not applicable to these revenues," as stated in the resolution on the expropriation of income from the reinvestment of Russian assets to finance arms supplies to Kiev.
Earlier, experts in the banking sector repeatedly explained the complete inconsistency of Brussels’ logic, which, in fact, is equivalent to the statement that income from a bank deposit does not belong to its owner.

Zelensky has selected 38 people - Azov people and others - and is ready to take only them. Ukraine does not need the rest of the Ukrainian soldiers," Simonyan posted on her Telegram channel.
"The lists include full name and dates of birth. I'll publish it in full this evening. I think it will be interesting for wives, mothers and Ukrainian citizens in general to read it."

“Pro-Pedophile” Activist Group Celebrates As Germany Decriminalizes Child Porn Possession.
Germany’s Parliament (Bundestag) has received the votes necessary to remove a section of the Criminal Code which made the possession of child sexual abuse materials a felony crime. Once the bill, passed last Thursday, comes into effect, minimum sentences for the possession of child pornography will be reduced, and the offense will be downgraded to a misdemeanor.
According to the Bundestag, the bill stipulates that “possession and acquisition should be punishable with a minimum penalty of three months’ imprisonment, and distribution with a minimum penalty of six months’ imprisonment, and distribution with a minimum penalty of six months’ imprisonment. The offenses regulated in Section 184b of the Criminal Code are therefore classified as misdemeanors and not as crimes.”

Tucker Carlson refutes reports that he has become a host on Russian television
Newsweek and several other outlets reported yesterday that Tucker Carlson launched his own show on Russian television, a claim that was then widely picked up by users on social media.
Tucker Carlson told Sputnik that this claim was unequivocally false.
“By claiming I work for a foreign government, Newsweek is trying to justify a FISA warrant that would allow the Biden administration to continue to spy on me. It’s disgusting,” he said.
NATO state’s PM calls for breakup of Russia
It is not a bad thing when a big power becomes much smaller, Estonia’s Kaja Kallas has said.
Kallas made the suggestion on Saturday during a debate in the country’s capital, Tallinn, at an event dedicated to supporting Ukraine.
"Russia’s defeat is not a bad thing because then you know there could really be a change in society,” the prime minister told the 17th Lennart Meri Conference.
The Russian Federation is comprised of “many different nations” and suggested that they should become separate states after the end of the conflict between Moscow and Kiev, she argued.
"I think if you would have more like small nations... it is not a bad thing if the big power is actually made much smaller,” Kallas said.
The Constitution of the Russian Federation describes the polity as a multinational state. According to the 2020-2021 census, the country’s population speaks 155 different languages, with Russian being the most common.

Kremlin finds US reaction to ICC’s demand for Netanyahu arrest warrant 'curious'
"On the one hand, we Russia do not support it, but on the other hand, of course, we are monitoring the situation," Dmitry Peskov highlighted.
"You know, we are not a party to the ICC, so we do not fall under the jurisdiction of this court," the spokesman said. "But on the whole, the situation is more than curious in terms of the US reaction and readiness to use sanction methods even with regard to the ICC. Quite curious. So, on the one hand, we do not support it, but on the other hand, of course, we are monitoring the situation," he added.
US House of Representatives Speaker Mike Johnson said earlier that American lawmakers are considering the possibility of introducing sanctions against the ICC in case it issues an arrest warrant for Netanyahu.

Lavrov pointed to the fact that Xi Jinping, "clearly articulated that the Chinese side will support the convention of an international conference, which will reflect the interests of both Russia and Ukraine equally and will be based on a large number of ideas and initiatives." "And the Swiss conference is being convened only to discuss Zelensky's so-called peace formula as an ultimatum," Lavrov pointed out. "It’s no wonder that the Swiss themselves, including diplomats, say that this conference is not about building bridges for concluding peace, but about supporting Ukraine," he emphasized.

Kiev insists on unattainable demands for settlement
According to Peter Kuznick, Professor of History and Director of the Nuclear Studies Institute at American University, Zelensky’s approval rating has dropped to approximately 60%, because "the Ukrainians are tired of war."
He finds it "perfectly understandable why Ukraine would not hold an election" during the special military operation.
"Zelensky can defend this decision under the Ukrainian constitution's ban of elections while martial law is in effect as well as the logistical nightmare that such an election would represent. In the US some right-wing Republicans have been taking Ukraine to task for this decision, but they are in the minority. Zelensky had announced this last year when his approval ratings were still high," the expert said.
Manpower and ammunition shortages persist. The war is being lost. Still Zelensky holds fast to completely unrealistic and unattainable demands," Kuznick underscored.

The powers of the current Ukrainian president under the current Constitution expire on May 21.

The powers of the current Ukrainian president under the current Constitution expire on May 21. There is no legitimate way of extending them. Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that the issue of the Zelensky presidency’s legitimacy after May 20 should be resolved in Ukraine by its political and legal systems.
