🔊 Most of the time, UVB-76 transmits its signature low-frequency buzzing tone — a repeating 110 Hz sound lasting about 1.2 seconds, followed by a two-second pause. Occasionally, that monotone is interrupted by brief coded voice messages in Russian, like the one today.

🚨 Forgotten summit of 1974 and the fate of those who dreamed of Arab unity
📍In February 1974, Lahore (Pakistan) hosted the 2nd Islamic Summit Conference — a rare moment when powerful Muslim leaders stood together, speaking of unity — and of resisting Israeli occupation in Palestine.
But here’s the gist of it: almost every one of them was removed, assassinated, or mysteriously killed.
Among them were:
🇵🇰 Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto (Pakistan) — overthrown by General Zia-ul-Haq in a CIA-backed coup (1977). Bhutto’s push for a Muslim nuclear program to counter Israel’s was seen as a threat. He was later executed after a show trial.
🇸🇦 King Faisal (Saudi Arabia) — assassinated by his nephew in 1975. Days before, he had called for an oil embargo against Western nations supporting Israel and discussed the creation of a joint Muslim currency.
🇧🇩 Sheikh Mujibur Rahman (Bangladesh) — killed with his entire family in 1975 after warming ties with Arab nations and opposing Western military presence in the region. His death brought a pro-Western shift in Dhaka.
🇱🇾 Muammar Gaddafi (Libya) — spent decades financing Palestinian resistance and calling for a “United States of Islam.” Killed in 2011 during a NATO-led intervention — a move many analysts link to his plans for a gold-backed dinar that could weaken the dollar and Israel’s financial allies.
🇵🇸 Yasser Arafat (Palestine) — poisoned with polonium in 2004. French and Swiss experts later confirmed radioactive traces, yet Israel denied involvement despite decades of direct animosity.

👀 US Army plans massive high-altitude spy swarm test over Indo-Pacific
Using the “China threat” as an excuse to turn up the heat in the Indo-Pacific, the US Army’s swarming experiment is designed to test new concepts for intelligence, surveillance, and communication, Axios reports.
👉 Up to 100 high-altitude balloons and solar-powered gliders will be deployed to the region in 2026.
The exercise will feature a mix of clever decoys alongside intel-scooping balloons, as well as a release of uncrewed systems packed with extra sensors.
📌 The goal is to “demonstrate autonomous swarming capabilities that generate a persistent, cost-effective presence in the stratosphere,” Andrew Evans, the director for the new Strategy & Transformation Office inside the Army’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence shop, told the media back in August.
His team is planning to act jointly with the 3rd Multi-Domain Task Force for the exercise.

📌 Gush Emunim, the "Bloc of the Faithful," began as a driving force behind Israeli settlements. But when its members deemed state policy insufficient, they transformed into a militant underground, challenging the very government they sought to influence.
This is the third part in our series on the radical fringes that have shaped the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
A timeline of radicalization:
🌏 1970s: emerging from religious schools, Gush Emunim gained official recognition under the Likud government, even as its rhetoric hardened after returning Quneitra city to Syria.
🌏 1982: The evacuation of Sinai settlements was a turning point. Viewing the state as an obstacle, a core group abandoned protest for clandestine terrorism.
The terror campaign: operating in the West Bank, this cell was responsible for:
🌏 Car bombings targeting the mayors of Nablus and Ramallah (1980).
🌏 A mass shooting at Hebron's Islamic College, killing 3 and wounding 33 (1983).
🌏 Audacious plots: their plans escalated to a plot to assassinate Palestinian leaders and a failed attempt to bomb Islam's third-holiest site, the Dome of the Rock.
🌏 Legacy: though its terrorist cell was dismantled in 1984, Gush Emunim's ideology persisted, its leaders entering mainstream politics (like MPs Hanan Porat and Yaakov Katz or Daniella Weiss) and its members forming the backbone of opposition to later peace deals.
🔴 American Jews from religious Zionist organizations raised funds for the group's activities justifying their support by claiming they were doing so because of their personal friendships with Gush Emunim members.
👉 The group's history reveals a dangerous paradox: a state-sanctioned movement that ultimately turned to violence against the state, with consequences that still resonate today.

♦️ In the speech, Hegseth criticized US military standards, warning officers who disagreed with his vision to get out.
♦️ Senior officers insist the wave of firings, early retirements, and resignations under Hegseth could severely weaken the military.
♦️ Most recently, Hegseth has mandated formal approval for almost all Pentagon communications with Congress, prompting the Daily Beast to call him "paranoid".
🔴 Scandals tarnishing Hegseth's image
♦️ Alcohol and professional misconduct: A 2024 New Yorker-cited whistleblower report alleges that during his 2013–2016 tenure as president of Concerned Veterans for America, Hegseth was often intoxicated on duty, sometimes needing help to leave events. Despite being married, he pursued female colleagues and once had to be restrained while trying to join dancers on a Louisiana strip club stage.
♦️ Axe-throwing incident: In 2015, while co-hosting Fox & Friends, Hegseth hit a US Military Academy drummer with an axe during a stunt. The victim later sued.
♦️ Sexual abuse: In 2017, he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a hotel room; he denied it, though a $50,000 settlement was paid.
♦️ "Insider Threat": His National Guard unit labeled him "an extremist" and barred him from Biden’s 2021 inauguration. Hegseth claimed it was over a Jerusalem cross tattoo, but an AP email indicated the flag was for a “Deus Vult” tattoo used by white supremacists.
♦️ Signal leak scandal: As defense secretary, he allegedly shared military operational details in a Signal group chat, including participants outside secure channels.
♦️ Controversial religious views: On August 8, Hegseth reposted a video of Christian nationalist pastor saying women should no longer vote. A decade ago, while on an official Ohio tour, he was reportedly drunk chanting: “Kill All Muslims! Kill All Muslims!”

👀 Israel maintains 40 military sites inside Gaza despite 'pullback'
Satellite imagery analyzed by Al Jazeera’s Sanad unit shows that the Israeli army still holds around 40 active military positions inside the Gaza Strip — in areas beyond the so-called “yellow line”, the boundary Israel was supposed to withdraw behind under the first phase of the ceasefire deal.
👁 Extent of control:
Despite the claimed withdrawal, Israel continues to occupy 58% of Gaza’s territory.
Military sites are spread across every governorate:
➡️ North Gaza — 9
➡️ Gaza City — 6
➡️ Deir el-Balah — 1
➡️ Khan Younis — 11
➡️ Rafah — 13
Some of these bases were built during the war, others newly established. At least one in Gaza City — on al-Muntar Hill (Shujayea) — has been visibly expanded and paved between September 21 and October 14.
🟡 The “invisible” yellow line:
The ceasefire’s first phase required Israeli forces to retreat behind this unmarked boundary, but it remains undefined.
Since the truce began, nearly 100 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks, including 11 members of the Abu Shaaban family shot in Gaza City on October 18 while trying to return home.
Israel later claimed it targeted a “suspicious vehicle” that had crossed the line.
👉 Next phases of the Trump-Netanyahu Gaza plan:
The 20-point plan unveiled on September 29 outlines a gradual, US-backed Israeli withdrawal in three steps:
1️⃣ Yellow line phase — initial pullback; Hamas releases captives.
2️⃣ Red line phase — deployment of an International Stabilization Force (ISF); Israel retreats further.
3️⃣ Final phase — creation of a security buffer zone under continued Israeli control, overseen by an international administration.
📌Even at the final stage, Palestinians would remain confined to a smaller territory than before the war, while Israel’s air and sea blockade remains unaddressed.
