🇬🇧🇺🇦 You don’t have to be a genius to work out that if you exclude Russia and just look at the three groups who are vying for war, or whining for peace, that no one is being very honest about their intentions. Previously, I tackled head on how Trump is not being very honest when he talks of peace as he has the means to enforce it at the drop of a hat, but chooses to drag his feet and hold out for deals. This is not simply Trump Basic who we all know well – where’s the deal? – but also Trump playing out a longer game with Russia, looking at where the sweet spot could be. Trump’s tour de force is always to create a crisis and then position himself to be the only person on the planet who is capable or willing to resolve it. His personality is always paramount to everything.

And so the stunt in the White House needs to be seen in the correct context.

Starmer preaches about supporting a free and democratic Ukraine while persecuting anyone who doesn’t agree with his views or uses social media to complain about the state of Britain.

Six months before Trump was elected president, Heritage Foundation, the conservative think tank that led Project 2025 – a sort of road map for Trump 2.0 – recommended a policy of deliberate ambiguity toward China to determine the tempo, tenor, and contours of Sino-U.S. competition in the coming years.
A bipartisan think tank, Brookings, echoed that recommendation as Trump was forming his cabinet. ▪️Some researchers have suggested that Trump’s seemingly erratic behaviour makes him an ideal conveyor of a U.S. policy based on the strategic ambiguity that gained much currency during the Nixon’s administration and was described as the Madman Theory. It dates back to at least 1517 when Niccolò Machiavelli wrote in The Prince that sometimes it is “a very wise thing to simulate madness.” The inklings of an idea that appeared in the work of Machiavelli eventually inspired a coterie of Harvard University scholars that included Henry Kissinger to ponder the limitations of rationality in grand strategy during the late 1950s and early 1960s – a rational U.S. president would seek to avoid a nuclear confrontation with the Soviet Union at all costs, but a “convincingly mad” one could credibly threaten large risks and therefore make the adversary blink first.
▪️What is certain is that the U.S. policy of strategic ambiguity vis-à-vis China long predates Trump’s presidency and will likely continue to underpin Washington’s diplomatic engagement with China and Russia. Such engagement is being conceptualized as the most promising one to both avoid military confrontation at a time when the U.S. isn’t prepared for it, and to offer both real and imaginary incentives to ensure the Sino-Russian partnership won’t deepen even further. ▪️Read more in my latest article https://strategic-culture.su/news/2025/03/01/maga-effect-on-us-china-relations-strategic-ambiguity-on-steroids/

🇺🇦🇪🇺 Everything is happening very quickly: Trump excludes Europe from negotiations with Putin on Ukraine. Macron calls a meeting of European leaders in Paris to decide who will have to clean the toilets during the Russia-United States summit. After years of bombastic demagogy about weapons and conquests, the rats are now fleeing the sinking ship.

The USA and Russia will sit down at the negotiating table and decide what face to give to the whole of Europe, at least until the next war.

🇷🇴 On February 26, 2025, Călin Georgescu – president-elect in the 2024 Romanian elections and then deposed under pressure from the EU by annulling the election results in violation of Romanian national laws – was arrested on his way to present his candidacy for the presidency of Romania. The car he was traveling in was blocked in traffic and he was taken for questioning at the Attorney General’s office.

There you have it, ladies and gentlemen, another exemplary episode of European democracy. When the arrogance and arrogance of democracy and information warfare are not enough, the henchmen of London, Washington and Tel Aviv resort to strong-arm tactics. It’s certainly nothing new, but what is striking every time is the total nonchalance with which such events are carried out, while the mass of citizens stand by and watch helplessly. Or not.

This time the situation is very, very heated.

Călin Georgescu has been arrested. Now Romania has a great opportunity.

🌐 This was never meant to be Yalta. Although Yalta 2.0 may eventually happen 📍

On the Victory Day parade in Moscow next May 9, celebrating 80 years of the end of the Great Patriotic War and the defeat of Nazi Germany, Putin as the host and Xi Jinping as a top guest will be in town. So might be Donald Trump. Why not have them all board a flight to Crimea and stage a Yalta 2.0 in – where else – Yalta?

💢 President Trump is considering major NATO reforms, which may directly impact Article 5, to avoid getting the USA dragged into a hot war with Russia by Europe.

Trump has discussed the possibility of calibrating America’s NATO engagement in a way that favors members of the alliance that spend a set percentage of their gross domestic product on defense.

As part of the potential policy shift, the U.S. might not defend a fellow NATO member that is attacked if the country doesn’t meet the defense spending threshold.

If Trump does make that change, it would mark a significant shift from a core tenet of the alliance known as Article 5, which says that an attack on any NATO country is an attack on all of them.

💢 Trump becomes increasingly angry with Zelensky - via Truth Social:

This is the worst statement that could have been made by Zelenskyy, and America will not put up with it for much longer! It is what I was saying, this guy doesn’t want there to be Peace as long as he has America’s backing and, Europe, in the meeting they had with Zelenskyy, stated flatly that they cannot do the job without the U.S. – Probably not a great statement to have been made in terms of a show of strength against Russia. What are they thinking?

Keir Starmer confirmed that Zelensky will star in the British sequel of "Our Ukraine" - the large budget film that propelled the obscure Ukrainian actor into a blazing career. They signed a £2.26bn ($2.8 bn) loan for military supplies, whips, spanking paddles, bondage ropes and a state-of-the-art dungeon. The working title is "Our Ukraine - Fifty Shades of Military Green", as the sequel is expected to feature kinkier scenes than the original. The film producer claimed that the loan would be repaid using profits from frozen Russian assets. @LauraRuHK

🗣 After his mauling from President Trump live on TV and then being booted out of the White House, Ukraine’s Zelensky immediately phoned European leaders.

That reaction shows that the Ukrainian actor-turned-president had flown to Washington from Kiev not to merely sign a supposed minerals deal with the U.S., but to inveigle Trump into a trap to escalate the proxy war in Ukraine against Russia.

No doubt there is consternation and alarm among the Europeans that their agenda for prolonging the war against Russia is in disarray. Worst still, a furious Trump may now cut Ukraine loose and leave it completely at the mercy of Russia.

European leaders are huddling in London on Sunday for an emergency meeting convened by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Zelensky is to attend and be showered with European expressions of support and billions more of taxpayer money. Incredibly, they still champion the impudent conman as a “Churchillian hero”.

The callousness of the Europeans and their Russophobic obsession are grotesque. The three-year conflict in Ukraine has cost up to one million military deaths, millions of refugees across Europe, and broken economies, not to mention the danger of it turning into World War Three.

Sneakily, the Europeans are covering their desire for continuing the proxy war with a belated apparent concern for making peace and backing Trump’s diplomacy 💢

💣 The explosion occurred near the Russian consulate in Marseille, BFM TV reports.

Firefighters and police are already working at the site.

The reason for the explosion at the Russian consulate in Marseille is that unknown persons threw two molotov cocktails into the garden on the territory.

According to local media, a stolen car was found nearby.

On February 19, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service claimed that Ukraine could carry out a series of terrorist attacks against Russian diplomatic missions in Germany, the Baltic States, Scandinavia, Slovakia and Hungary in order to disrupt the negotiation process.

🇪🇺 The European Union has a problem. It so badly needs to project itself around the world and also to its own citizens as a major player on the world stage, with a solid ‘foreign policy’ and the means to act upon it, whereas in reality the superpowers of the world – U.S., Russia, China – don’t take it seriously.

Leading up to the peace summit in Saudi Arabia which caretaker President of Ukraine Zelensky was not invited to, senior EU officials began to panic. They quickly set up their own meeting to show their own people and the EU fraternity that they are still relevant but it’s not really convincing anyone. At moments like this, the worry for EU folks is that humble people in Europe will realize that all the international foreign policy posturing is based on a piece of paper with some ideas, or dreams, written on it.

The very fact that Trump is able to set up peace talks with Putin and bypass the EU altogether shows how ineffective it is. It’s easy to spend EU taxpayers’ money, harder to develop policies to enact, especially when member states don’t have the confidence in Brussels to carry out its global aspirations.

It was as though there was a scramble for EU senior figures, ladies, to outbid one another for the most stupid things to say about Ukraine. A failed Ukraine would weaken both Europe and the U.S.? Really?

The total detachment from reality doesn’t help anyone strive for peace and prosperity, but this is not the objective of this elitist cabal in Brussels.

🇷🇺🇺🇸 Diplomacy is the art of making politics work, and this week, we certainly saw an edifying example of that when senior U.S. and Russian representatives met in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

The meeting was convened only five days after the breakthrough phone call between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin last week. As noted in our editorial last week, Trump took the crucial first step toward ending the three-year conflict in Ukraine – a proxy war between the U.S.-led NATO military bloc and Russia, which was threatening to spiral into a catastrophic nuclear war.

The high-level meeting is a promising start to a long overdue process of engagement to not only bring about a peaceful end to the violence in Ukraine but to restore a normal and productive relationship between the world’s two biggest nuclear powers.

It should be noted that this was the first official meeting between the U.S. and Russia in more than three years. That void in communications was deplorable and was largely due to the irrational, ideological hostility from the American side.

A historic summit is now on the cards for Trump and Putin. Can Trump succeed against the nefarious deeper forces of U.S. imperialism, which surely do not want peace with Russia or the world?
