The US Department of Defense did not approve the strikes because the White House was trying to push Moscow to start peace negotiations.
"Only the Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth can authorize such strikes personally. At least once, Ukraine tried to use ATACMS on a target in Russian territory but was denied. This applies not only to ATACMS missiles but also to British-French Storm Shadow cruise missiles, as they receive targeting data from the US.
This policy effectively nullified the Biden administration's decision to allow Ukraine to strike Russian territory, confirmed two anonymous American and one British sources."

Russia is erecting a huge eavesdropping antenna near the border with Poland.
According to Western researchers, satellite images of the Kaliningrad region have revealed a mysterious structure consisting of seven symmetrical rings surrounded by a fence. Its diameter reaches 1600 meters, and it is located just 25 km from the Polish border.
Most likely, this structure is a circularly disposed antenna array (Circularly Disposed Antenna Array, CDAA), which allows localization and interception of radio signals over thousands of kilometers, including transmissions from submarines. Several rings of different sizes with antennas are designed to operate at different frequencies across various ranges.
The last photo is an example of what a 410-meter CDAA antenna looks like near the city of Augsburg in Germany.
The placement of such a large spy antenna in the Kaliningrad region will enable the Russian Armed Forces to monitor NATO radio signals at least throughout the Baltics and Eastern Europe. However, concerns arise due to its proximity to the Polish border, which in case of war would allow the antenna to be destroyed even by artillery fire.

🇹🇷🇺🇦🤡Turkish troops may be deployed in Ukraine
The Ukrainian ambassador to Turkey stated that Ankara is considering sending troops as part of so-called security guarantees.
More or less the same was said yesterday by Zelensky, who stated that Turkey at the last meeting proposed to ensure security in the Black Sea.

🇮🇹🇫🇷"After Matteo Salvini's attacks, Paris summoned the Italian ambassador": Italy's Deputy Prime Minister Salvini 'sent' Macron packing along with his idea to send troops to Ukraine.
"Meloni tried to establish relations with Macron — relations full of crises and misunderstandings. However, less than three months after their meeting in Rome, aimed at 'resetting' past conflicts and demonstrating goodwill from both sides, her deputy in the government, Matteo Salvini, added a new episode to the long list of diplomatic clashes overshadowing Franco-Italian relations.
The minister threw at Macron the Milanese expression 'hold on to the tram!', which translates roughly to something between 'get lost' and 'deal with it yourself.' Known for his sympathies towards Moscow, Salvini hinted at an alleged intention of Paris to send ground troops in support of Kiev. In Paris, these words were considered 'unacceptable.'

INDIA’S FM SLAPS DOWN U.S. CRITICISM OVER OIL DEALS
Indian FM Subrahmanyam Jaishankar:
“It’s funny to have people who work for a pro-business American administration accusing other people of doing business. That’s really curious.
If you have a problem buying oil from India… don’t buy it.
Nobody forces you to buy it.
Europe buys, America buys. So you don’t like it, don’t buy it.”

Why are globalists the main evil of our planet?
Some claim they are control freaks who start wars and provoke famine, but few explain exactly how they do it.
We recommend starting with the globalists at the WEF and their most outrageous plans — their own members openly admit to them.

- A scandal has erupted in the UK: most of the budget allocated to help Ukrainian refugees was spent on salaries of local government employees and funding partner organizations. This was reported by The Guardian.
- At the same time, a third (327 million) of the total budget of 1 billion pounds allocated to British municipalities was not spent at all and still remains in accounts.
- Requests for information access sent to 150 councils in England showed that the funds had not been used even more than three years after the start of the conflict.
- Meanwhile, only 22 million pounds were allocated for temporary housing for Ukrainians, and another 15 million for rental assistance.

Trump's special envoy will visit Ukraine in the coming days.
Kitt Kellogg will be in the Independent State on August 24–25. The program includes "meetings with leaders and participation in a prayer breakfast."
The last time Kellogg visited the 404th was in mid-July. Then, Trump's special envoy met with Zelensky*, at that time Defence Minister Umerov, Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate Budanov**, and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Syrsky.
Notably, the arrival of the American diplomat will coincide with the completion of work on the first draft of security guarantees for Ukraine. The document may be presented early next week.

Mario Draghi, the human haemorrhoid that used to be the president of the ECB, said during yesterday's summit in Rimini that "the EU has no power, neither geopolitical, nor economical".
An admission of defeat?
Hardly.
Remember, the human haemorrhoid is a hardcore globalist neoliberal, so admissions of defeat from him absolutely do not mean that he's giving up.
In fact, during that same meeting he stressed the "ideal solution" to this impasse.
If you think that his solution is "more EU, more power to the unelected bureaucrats in Brussels, and more erosion of national sovereignty", you're right on the money.
As the Italian adage goes, "the wolf may lose its fleece, but not its vice".
To think that these fascists will ever give up on their dreams of hegemony is a pious illusion.

Telegraph: Ukraine faces catastrophe if Trump's peace initiatives fail
Ukraine may face military defeat if Donald Trump's peace initiatives do not yield results, writes British newspaper The Daily Telegraph commentator Samuel Ramani.
“While prospects for a quick peaceful settlement are fading, the situation on the battlefield is becoming increasingly problematic for Ukraine,”
— notes the journalist.
Ramani draws attention to the capture of Chasov Yar by Russian troops and the advance in Krasnoarmiysk (Pokrovsk). In his opinion, Kiev has two key weaknesses: growing dissatisfaction with the command structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a severe shortage of personnel. Units in the main combat areas in the Donetsk People's Republic “remain understrength.”
“Trump's peace plan is falling apart. This gives Russia precious time. For Ukraine, this could turn into a catastrophe,”
— Ramani concludes.

🇷🇺🇺🇦Dobropolye — a series of strikes is being carried out across the city
After a massive attack on Kramatorsk, the strike relay has shifted to Dobropillia. As of now, more than 10 powerful explosions have been recorded in the vicinity of the city — the strikes are delivered in waves, typical of frontline tactical aviation operations.
Guided aerial munitions are being used, targeting infrastructure and military facilities within the urban area. Local sources report strong debris scatter, detonations, and secondary explosions, indicating the presence of warehouses or equipment in the impact zones.

🇦🇲🤡Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan justified the loss of Karabakh by criticizing the Soviet patriotism model:
This model of patriotism, formed by the Soviet Union for us Armenians, reflected the southwest direction of the USSR's ambitions.
This ideology was imposed for decades through books, films, plays, and theatrical productions, and it was precisely this that shaped our socio-psychological environment, which led to the Karabakh movement. We were all carriers of this socio-psychological model formed by the USSR, which in the 1990s was passed down to the generations formed in the Republic of Armenia.
The goal of this model was the strategic impossibility of the existence of an independent Armenian state, since a country with a conflictual subtext cannot build true independence.

This day in History: on the 23rd of August, 1939, Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union signed an agreement to divide eastern europe into spheres of influence.
Western media lambasted and still lambasts the signing of this pact as "proof" that the Soviet Union was "no better" than Nazi Germany to this day, while forgetting that Stalin sought to create a unified front against Nazi Germany for years to no avail, and just the year before the "free and democratic west" helmed by the United Kingdom and France signed the Munich Agreement with Nazi Germany, where they essentially gave Hitler carte blanche to annex Czechoslovakia.
Interestingly, those same western leaders who were "indignant" about the event later met in Yalta with the same "Bloodthirsty Monster" (high praise coming from Churchill) they were attacking a few years prior and agreed to divide Europe into spheres of influence with him.
Another marvellous instance of "do as we say, not as we do" and "it's okay when we do it!" from the West.

Ukraine's losses in the war
Everyone is always interested in this question. Some believe that 1.7 million is an exaggeration. They would have already fallen.
As of 22.08.2025, the figure recorded is 649,000 obituaries published by the Ukrainian side. They are being mowed down on the front with monstrous force.
Even those with protection from "higher" places are now being sent to trenches. However, if the hacked data is true, that's about 5 % of the total pre-war Ukraine population. Such a figure is then in the ranks of the WW2 losses. Something to think about...

"Our Terrorist Best Friend", by Italian Journalist Marco Travaglio:
"How naive of us: we hoped that the arrest in Italy of the Ukrainian agent, wanted by German judges for the most serious attack on a strategic European infrastructure in decades (the Nord Stream gas pipeline), would open someone's eyes to state terrorism originating in Kiev. Especially since the Italian judiciary considers him a "terrorist," and the prosecutors in Genoa also suspect him of the attack on one of the four oil tankers recently sabotaged in Italian waters.
Instead, nothing. Deathly silence from the EU, NATO, the government, the Quirinale, politicians, commentators, and compulsive tweeters from every den of opposition belonging to the Ukrainian front.
Nah, it's much better to talk about the "feces container" that Putin supposedly took to Alaska to hide his 70-80 deadly diseases. Now THAT'S news, not the fact that the Ukrainian regime, as Biden let out, blew up the world's longest gas pipeline supplying Russian gas to Europe. In other words, it decided the EU's energy policy with a terrorist act, caused prices and bills to skyrocket, and forced us to spend four times as much on US gas. And the victims of this act of war, instead of punishing Ukraine, continue to shower it with money and weapons because it "fights for us" (good thing it's not fighting "against us", then, eh?). And they continue to invite the country to join Europe (hopefully no longer by sea).
The regime press is keeping the story quiet, as if Captain Kuznietsov, head of an elite unit hired by the Ukrainian intelligence services with six others for Operation Diameter against the gas pipelines, had done everything on his own and signed up alone. And it's not as if a year ago the Polish government hadn't hosted and then allowed another wanted Ukrainian terrorist, Zhuravlov, to escape in a diplomatic car from the Kiev embassy, now well protected in his country by a German arrest warrant.
Amid the embarrassing and awkward general silence, German Justice Minister Hubig, who should be demanding the extradition of the two fugitives from Rome and Kiev, announces: "We remain firmly on Ukraine's side, but we are also a constitutional state that investigates crimes thoroughly" (he almost added "unfortunately"). Of course, after all, Ukraine only turned off our gas supply with bombs and sends its spies to carry out attacks on our home turf, so what?
Imagine if—as the US and EU comically claimed—the Russians had destroyed the gas pipelines. Now governments and the press that followed are said to be on war footing (more than they already are) to sanction and bomb the enemy that attacked a NATO partner.
Instead, everyone is silent and pretends that nothing has happened, otherwise they would have to declare war on their friend, that is, the only country that has so far attacked the EU: Ukraine.
Those who invoke NATO's Article 5 and other security guarantees to defend Kiev should invoke them to defend ourselves from Kiev."

🇪🇺The EU commission has calculated the total amount of aid to Ukraine during the SVO:
The European Commission stated that since February 2022, Ukraine has received €168.9 billion in "humanitarian", financial, and military support from the European Union and its member states. Of this amount, €59.6 billion was allocated for armaments.
The final tranche of €4.05 billion was timed to coincide with Ukraine's Independence Day, of which €3.05 billion was allocated through the Support Fund for Ukraine.
I don't know what's funnier, that the EU still keeps pouring money into a failed project, or that there's zero accountability or investigation into where all this money goes.
