RIP Syria. My God so fast. Western/Turkish intel co-opted/bought/blackmailed essentially the entire Syrian military and administration into just standing down, and the economy was so hallowed out by sanctions and occupation of Syria's oil and wheat that the state was incapable of resisting. There was very little fighting. Erdogan, Al Qaeda, and the US have won.

The question was raised about where the promised Iranian troops and Hezbollah are.
As for Hezbollah, it's simple - the Lebanese group suffered serious losses in command and rank-and-file during the last war with Israel. Therefore, Hezbollah was only able to deploy small forces in Homs, which is likely its current limit for such operations.
The case with Iran is more complicated: even setting aside political factors, the issue of logistics arises - how to ensure the transportation of troops and materiel. The land corridor through Iraq is closed - Deir ez-Zor was taken by the Kurds, and the highway in the desert is controlled by militants from At-Tanf. Airlifting everything to Damascus is prevented by the Israeli Air Force, which threatens to simply shoot down the aircraft.
So in this situation, Iran can only wish Assad good spirits, as it currently lacks the real ability to provide large-scale military support and maintain its "Shiite crescent".

Teenage sources admitted to the British paper that they choose to study abroad, where they will not be taken to the front without their consent.
Ukrainian deputy Oleksandra Ustinova, who deals with US arms supplies, claims many in Washington ask why Kiev doesn’t send younger men to the front, while US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has previously stated that Kiev will have to make difficult but necessary decisions on mobilization.
Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhi Tikhy confirmed that the topic of lowering the age of mobilization to 18 years in Ukraine is being discussed in negotiations with the United States.

Update on US proxy war in Syria…
▪️Syrian forces continue withdrawing following a large offensive carried out by US-sponsored terrorists from Idlib, northern Syria;
▪️Syrian forces previously withdrew from these regions during the 2011-2015 phase of the US proxy war against Syria;
▪️Russian intervention allowed Syrian forces to incrementally take back territory with a specific task force, city-by-city, in operations that spanned years;
▪️It is still too early to draw conclusions about the disposition of forces on either side, including how overextended Russian and Iranian forces may be or the full depth of combat power of US-backed terrorists;
▪️Syrian forces are likely falling back because they are incapable of holding all of this territory at once, particularly in areas like Hama and Homs serving as traditional strongholds of US-backed extremism and will need to incrementally retake it as it did from 2015 onward;

🇷🇺🇸🇾 Russian S-400 and Tor-M2 air defense systems were spotted moving near the city of Masyaf, located on the border between Hama province and the mountain range of Tartus province.
A battery of Russian S-400 systems was initially deployed in the Masyaf area in 2017 to protect the Khmeimim airbase from threats originating from the mountain ridge.
Now, due to the capture of Hama, the proximity of militants, and the risk of their further advance toward the coast, it has been decided to redeploy the Russian air defense systems stationed in this area either to Khmeimim itself or to Tartus.

While the export cost of a PAC-2 or PAC-3 missile ranges from $6 to $11 Million per missile, on the low end; Ukraine will spend $192 Million for a mere 25% chance to intercept one of these hypersonic missiles.

💸 Total US military aid to Ukraine under Biden tops $62 billion – Pentagon
The total volume of US military aid to Ukraine under US President Joe Biden has exceeded $62 billion, the US Department of Defense said.
This includes $61.4 billion in military aid since February 24, 2022, when Russia's special military operation started.
Earlier on Monday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced the allocation of an additional $725 million military aid package to Ukraine, which also included another batch of antipersonnel mines.
Russia has repeatedly stressed that Western military aid for NATO’s proxy war in Ukraine will only serve to prolong the crisis, and warned that arms shipments are legitimate military targets.

Ukrainian military desertions skyrocket – Financial Times
More than twice as many Ukrainian soldiers have been charged with desertion this year than in 2022 and 2023 combined, the Financial Times has reported. The spike in desertions has hampered Kiev’s ability to replenish its thinned-out ranks.
Ukrainian prosecutors opened 60,000 cases against deserters between January and October of this year, the British newspaper reported on Saturday, noting that those convicted face prison terms of up to 12 years.
