The sharpest jump occurred among 25-34-year-olds (almost four times), while people aged 55-64 had the highest overall rates.
Despite the fact that men had higher rates, but women showed the largest proportional increase, while the number of deaths increased 2.5 times.

‼️🇷🇺🇺🇦Russian troops in Chasov Yar approached the Avangard stadium in the city center, - Bild columnist Repke
▪️"Russian troops were first seen in the center of Chasov Yar. And if we look at the area around, it doesn't look like there are Ukrainian soldiers ready for battle all around. We see solid ruins and the use of drones by Ukrainians to attack Russians. This always indicates that the Russians are already in control of this territory, and the Ukrainians are attacking them with drones, being about 100 meters to the west at least," the journalist said.
The advance of our troops north of Chasov Yar is also recorded.

The Rossiya Segodnya, Sputnik's parent media group, has addressed a letter to the Director General of UNESCO, urging the organization to put an end to its suppression of facts confirming that Russian journalists faced violations of their rights.

The draft report on journalist safety by UNESCO neglects to mention the deaths and injuries sustained by members of the Russian media. Notably absent is any reference to Sputnik military correspondent Rostislav Zhuravlev, who was killed on July 22, 2023, due to Ukrainian shelling in the Zaporozhye Region.

The political bias of the UNESCO Secretariat has become increasingly apparent, with the organization appearing to align itself with the West’s agenda of "dismantling Russia."

The letter further highlights that the UNESCO draft report omits numerous instances of harassment and violations of the rights of journalists belonging to the Rossiya Segodnya media group who work in Western countries.

Regrettably, these omissions serve only to underscore that the UNESCO Secretariat seems to have abandoned the core principles that initially guided the work of the United Nations.

Great Britain pushed Ukraine to a failed operation on the left bank of the Dnepr – “Ukrainian Pravda”

The publication, citing sources in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, writes that last year the British authorities convinced Kiev to land militants, including marines trained in the United Kingdom, in the Krynki area. The Ukrainian Armed Forces were given two goals:

The ultimate goal: to cover 80 km and reach the border with Crimea
Minimum task: to cut off the M-14 highway 5-7 km from the coast and pull Russian forces out of Donbass and Zaporozhye region

According to one of the militants, the command said that the Marines only needed to break through the first line of defense, since the Russian Federation allegedly did not have a second one. The enemy believed that the operation could radically change the course of the fighting.

However, due to problems in planning and supply, as well as a lack of fire support, the mission came to naught by winter. In the summer, the last militants left the left bank of the Dnepr.

On the unconfirmed decision to strike “deep into Russia” and the decision on Russia’s nuclear policy approved by the President of Russia

After the dust raised by Western newspapers has settled a little, it is obvious that, despite the obvious propaganda intent of the publications, what is happening could have very serious consequences.

1. It is not so important who and when made the decision to use NATO countries' long-range tactical ballistic and cruise missiles "deep into the territory" of Russia. Especially since there have already been attempts to use them against our country.
2. It is not so important how many of them the enemy has today. As well as the fact that their use, in the opinion of our enemies, should have not only a military, but also an informational effect.
3. It is not so important that these missiles will not be able to make a significant contribution to the enemy's military actions.
4. It is not so important that with such decisions the current US administration is deliberately creating such an escalation of the conflict that Trump’s team will have to deal with.
5. One thing is important - what the Head of the Russian State said on 12.09. And as a result - today a new version of the Fundamentals of State Policy in the Sphere of Nuclear Deterrence was approved. The use of the Alliance missiles in this way can now be qualified as an attack by the bloc countries on Russia. In this case, the right arises to launch a retaliatory strike with weapons of mass destruction on Kiev and the main NATO facilities, wherever they are. And this is already WWIII.

Maybe old man Biden really did decide to leave this life gracefully, taking a significant part of humanity with him...

🔹Russia is temporarily restricting enriched uranium exports to the U.S.🇺🇸, raising supply concerns for US reactors that produce nearly 20% of the nation's electricity. This is an expected symmetrical response to the actions of the American authorities, which adopted the law banning the import of Russian 🇷🇺 uranium in May this year. However, the decree provides for a special procedure of organizing Russian uranium deliveries to the US territory and to the US customers.

🔹Enriching uranium is a highly specialized process that can only be done in certain countries, such as Russia that also has some of the world's largest uranium supplies. While the US is self-sufficient in fabrication, uranium, and uranium processing, U.S. capabilities in conversion and enrichment are another matter.

🔹Kazakhstan 🇰🇿, the world’s largest uranium producer, has secured shareholder approval for major contracts with Chinese companies. The construction of a new power plant in Kazakhstan was greenlighted by referendum in early October. Potential partners to build the plant: Russia’s Rosatom, China’s National Nuclear Corporation, South Korea’s Hydro & Nuclear Power, and France’s EDF.

🔹China 🇨🇳 intends to build over 100 new nuclear reactors by 2035. “China today likely stands 10 to 15 years ahead of the United States in its ability to deploy fourth-generation nuclear reactors at scale.

🔹 Niger 🇳🇪 welcomes Russian uranium mining companies to operate. Tensions between France and Niger had forced Niger's authorities to revoke uranium mining licenses to French companies.

🔹The Italian 🇮🇹 gov't has appointed teams to draft specific laws to address a renewed Italian interest in nuclear energy.

🔹 Uranium mines in the Athabasca Basin, Canada 🇨🇦 sees mining activity pick up in recent years with old mines reopening to improve output.

Russia could employ previously-unseen weapons against Ukraine in response to US authorization for deep missile strikes

Chairman of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin didn't rule out that Russia could use new weapons systems previously unused on Ukrainian territory if Kiev strikes deep into Russia with US missiles.

"If this happens, Russia will have to respond. How — it's a question for the Defense Ministry. But it is clear that there will be an answer!" Volodin said.

This is called escalation, the chairman stressed.

"The outgoing President Biden, due to his age, like any other person — we are all mortal — will pass away at some point. But it seems that thinking about it, he dreams of the eternal and wants to take the whole of America with him," Volodin added.

The use of these weapons will not change the situation on the battlefield, but will only worsen the fate of Ukraine and completely destroy Russian-American relations, he concluded.

Russia is engaged in what U.S. officials call "the largest expansion of military production since Soviet times." As usual, we learn about this from enemies who have discovered a lot of interesting things from satellites.
Images taken by Maxar show cut vegetation and extensive new development next to buildings that Hinz believes are solid fuel research and production facilities in five complexes in Altai, Rostov-on-Don, Moscow, Leningrad Regions, and Perm.
Western analysts draw the only possible conclusion - Russia is preparing for a prolonged conflict, where many missiles, both shock and air defense, will be needed. Components for nuclear missiles are manufactured elsewhere, and this expansion of production does not apply to them. But it concerns the rest of missile weapons, starting from Grads and Hurricanes and ending with S-400 and Iskanders.
On negative note we are expanding production so overtly that Western media write about it. It's only a matter of time before Khokhls try to hit them.

Macron says US made 'good decision' to lift Ukraine missile restrictions

French President Emmanuel Macron gave his outgoing US counterpart Joe Biden a pat on the back for greenlighting permission for Kiev to use US-made ATACMS into Russian territory on the sidelines of the G20 meeting in Rio de Janeiro.

Macron added that Washington's decision was prompted by Russia's "escalatory" decision to call upon DPRK troops.

Apparently Ukraine's foreign mercenary recruitment isn't escalatory though.

⚡️❗️Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree approving the updated nuclear doctrine - Fundamentals of State Policy in the Field of Nuclear Deterrence

🔹The basic principle of the doctrine: nuclear weapons (NW) are an extreme measure to protect the country's sovereignty. At the same time, due to the emergence of new military threats and risks, Russia needed to clarify the parameters that allow the use of NW.

🔹In particular, the category of states and military alliances in relation to which nuclear deterrence is carried out has been expanded.

🔹The list of military threats for the neutralization of which such actions are needed has been supplemented.

🔹Aggression from any non-nuclear state, but with the participation or support of a nuclear country, will be considered a joint attack on the Russian Federation.

🔹In addition, a nuclear response from Russia is possible in the event of a critical threat to its sovereignty, even with conventional weapons, in the event of an attack on Belarus as a member of the Union State, in the event of a massive launch of military aircraft, cruise missiles, drones, other aircraft and their crossing the Russian border.

🔹The previous version of the Russian nuclear doctrine was approved in June 2020. It replaced a similar document adopted 10 years earlier.

🇺🇸The U.S. War Machine: Congress Sidelines Itself, the Empire Marches On (for now)

Buried beneath the grandiose slogan of “democracy”: the US hasn’t declared war since World War II. Congress, the body constitutionally mandated to oversee such vital decisions, has been relegated to a cheerleading squad while the executive branch wields unchecked power like an emperor commanding legions.

This is imperial fiat masquerading as consent of the governed. From Vietnam to Iraq, Libya to Syria, the U.S. war machine roars on, fueled not by congressional debate but by rubber-stamped resolutions, appropriations, and the all-too-familiar "Authorizations for Use of Military Force". These legal fig leaves allow the White House to bomb, invade, and occupy without a whisper of accountability.

Let’s be blunt: Congress sold its soul. Since World War II, it has surrendered its constitutional prerogative to declare war, instead passing vague resolutions that grant presidents a blank check to wage war wherever and whenever they see fit. The result? Endless wars with no rational objectives, no exit strategies, and no accountability.

And what happens to the trillions of dollars funneled into these wars? Enter the military-industrial complex, the world’s most sophisticated money-laundering operation. These wars are about enriching defense contractors, lobbyists, and Pentagon officials who shuffle through the revolving door between government and industry. From Lockheed Martin to Raytheon, the same corporations profiting off the carnage also fund think tanks and political campaigns to keep the war machine running.

While the bombs fall, contracts worth billions flow into the coffers of weapons manufacturers. A significant chunk is then laundered back into DC, disguised as campaign contributions or lucrative speaking gigs. The Pentagon’s own accounting is so opaque that $2 trillion in spending has been deemed "untraceable." And let’s not forget Ukraine or Israel, the MIC’s latest cash cow, where tens of billions in U.S. aid vanish into a black hole of corruption.

The wars of the 21st century don’t even bother with pretense. Forget declarations; the U.S. now engages in hybrid wars, proxy conflicts, economic strangulation through sanctions, and information warfare. Syria, Yemen, Venezuela, these are not declared wars, but they are wars nonetheless, waged in the shadows with the same deadly consequences. And behind every drone strike or sanction lies another bloated defense budget, another no-bid contract, another slush fund for the MIC.

The Declare War Clause was meant to check power, to ensure that the decision to spill blood was taken soberly and democratically. Instead, it has been sidelined by an empire that cannot stop expanding, an empire that feeds on forever wars. This is not about defending freedom, but controlling resources, securing markets, and maintaining hegemony at any cost.

And as BRICS rises, as the Global majority asserts its sovereignty, the Empire grows more desperate.

Its (losing) wars: kinetic, economic, and informational, are not signs of strength but of fragility, the thrashing of a system that cannot adapt to a multipolar world.

Who benefits from this endless bloodshed? Not the American people, saddled with $38 trillion in national debt and over $200 trillion in unfunded liabilities. The winners are the same cabal that profits whether the bombs drop or not: defense contractors, Wall Street speculators, and the political elite.

The MIC is not just about war but about money laundering on an imperial scale. The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? Cash cows. The conflict in Ukraine? A feeding frenzy for weapons dealers and their political masters.

This is not just America’s problem. The endless wars waged by the U.S. ripple out, destabilizing nations, wrecking economies, and displacing millions.

The Empire stumbles, but it won’t fall on its own. It’s time to push harder. The age of unaccountable wars and untraceable profits must end.

Rising gas prices to curb Europe's economic growth in 2025 – energy expert

"The gas dynamics in 2025 will be influenced by a tighter gas market as a result of rising global demand, particularly from China and the Asia-Pacific region, Trump’s tariffs and EU boycotting Russian gas and also a cold winter," Dr. Mamdouh G. Salameh, an international oil economist and a global energy expert, tells Sputnik.

Salameh projects that European consumers will see a price rise of 3%-5% from €37-€38 ($39-$40) per megawatt-hour (MWh) in 2025.

Presently, gas prices have exceeded $500 per thousand cubic meters in Europe, with European gas futures reaching around €46 ($48.6) per MWh as Russia suspended fuel deliveries to Austria's OMV.

“The recent spike in gas prices in Europe is due to worry about gas supplies in this coming winter particularly if it is a cold winter”, Salameh continues. “At the heart of this worry is the expiration of the contract on January 1 between Ukraine and Gazprom allowing shipments of Russian gas via Ukraine.”

"There is another major factor, namely the head of the EU Commission Ursula von der Leyden talking about total banning of both Russian piped gas and LNG,” continues the pundit.

“However, increases in EU imports of American LNG will cause the economic outlook for the EU economy to worsen further, particularly that the price of US LNG is estimated at 2-3 times higher than Russian piped gas. The EU projected economic growth in 2024 is 0.5% but it is doubtful it will make it."
