‼️‼️‼️ Macron willing to buy Russian oil and gas to resell to Eastern Europe at markup price – Slovak MP
“Politicians like Macron act with impudence. They are willing to buy Russian oil, gas or nuclear fuel and then supply it to others, all the while pretending that these commodities did not originate in Russia. They sell it to us at four times markup prices,” Slovak parliament Deputy Speaker Andrej Danko told Sputnik.
❗Responding to the deputy's request from Andrei Lugovoy, Russia's Prosecutor General's Office declared undesirable the activities of the US organization "Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe", also known as Helsinki Commission of the United States.
This structure manages the OSCE, and for 46 years it has been steadily generating an anti-Soviet and then anti-Russian agenda in the European Parliaments. The Commission consists of members of U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate, as well as representatives of the Pentagon, Department of Commerce and State Department.
This, Andrei Lugovoy emphasized, is the first case of a ban on a structure founded by govt agencies of a foreign state, but it is not the last. Any cooperation with this organization entails legal consequences.
In recent years, the HC managed to initiate the Rodchenkov Act, which launched a global operation against Russian sports and athletes, regular lobbying campaigns to deprive Russia of its seat on the UNSC.

The Atlantic’s Sermon: A Funeral for Working-Class America
Jonathan Chait’s latest Atlantic piece, “Maybe It Was Never About the Factory Jobs,” is less an analysis and more a eulogy for a system that has bled American workers dry. Framing Biden’s presidency as a “meaningful economic success” yet a political failure, Chait unwittingly confirms the core critique of populists: neoliberalism’s architects despise the very people they claim to serve.
Chait’s defense of Biden’s post-neoliberal turn is riddled with contradictions. Biden’s much-touted economic agenda, from the Inflation Reduction Act to green energy subsidies, was meant to bring prosperity to forgotten Rust Belt towns. Yet, as Chait admits, Lordstown swung six points toward Trump in 2024, becoming the second-highest pro-Trump shift in Ohio. Even with billions funneled into union-friendly battery factories, working-class voters weren’t fooled. “Transformational” policies failed to transform anything except the DNC’s delusions.
Chait spends much of the piece trying to absolve the Biden admin of its failures. Inflation? Just bad timing. Rust Belt voters? Too impatient to recognize the “fruits” of Biden’s labor. Harris? Dragged down by Biden’s toxic record. But these excuses ring hollow. As Chait himself notes, “None of these actions has shown any sign of helping Biden politically.” The electorate, the working class, saw through the performative populism, rejecting it in droves.
And let’s talk inflation. The same “post-neoliberal” architects who claimed inflation wouldn’t matter politically were proven disastrously wrong. Chait’s own article reveals the arrogance: “The 40-year damage of neoliberalism…was so profound that three years of modest improvement was far from FDR-style transformation.” Translation? Biden’s advisors underestimated the pain of rising prices on everyday Americans, doubling down on an ideology that prioritized ESG-friendly subsidies over immediate economic relief.
This Atlantic piece is riddled with euphemisms, calling Biden’s record “historic” while ignoring its catastrophic unpopularity. Chait even cites unionized breakthroughs at Starbucks and Amazon as victories, conveniently glossing over the fact that union members themselves abandoned Biden. As Chait confesses, Biden’s pro-union policies “did not yield more support among union members.” Instead of self-reflection, the author shields the Democratic establishment by arguing they just didn’t shout their “anti-neoliberal” achievements loudly enough.
Nowhere does Chait acknowledge the systemic betrayal. Since the 1990s, both parties sold out the working class on the altar of globalization. Jobs shipped to China, towns hollowed out, and wages suppressed, all to enrich the same corporate elite that bankrolls the Atlantic. As Chait finally concedes, “Delivering concrete benefits” failed to generate political support. But he stops short of asking the real question: Why?
American workers aren’t stupid. They know when they’re being pandered to. Billion-dollar battery plants don’t erase decades of economic dislocation or pay the bills when groceries are 20% more expensive. Biden’s “post-neoliberal” advisors promised a New Deal but delivered breadcrumbs wrapped in greenwashing rhetoric. And voters weren’t buying it.
Chait’s neoliberal sermon is an indictment of the entire globalist elite. The same forces that hollowed out the industrial heartland now seek to distract with “green revolutions” that enrich Wall Street while leaving workers in the dust. The Biden presidency was a classic bait-and-switch, a rebranding of neoliberalism as “populism.”
The empire’s managerial class hates the American worker as much as it despises the Global South.
Lordstown, Ohio, is treated no differently than a sweatshop in Bangladesh, a resource to be extracted and discarded. Until America frees itself from the grip of neoliberalism and the globalist machine, the factory floor will remain a ghost town, and articles like Chait’s will serve as epitaphs for a dying empire.

Thousands protest in NATO state against coup d’etat — RT World News

"It will be difficult for a weakened Europe to unite to counter Trump's threats": Americans are confident that there are no leaders left in the Old World who could resist any desires of Washington.
"Donald Trump has threatened to drag the European Union into a new round of trade wars and conclude a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine that could completely reshape the region's security architecture. However, many European leaders are under such pressure at home that they will not have the political leverage to take decisive action in world affairs. And those who are ready to formulate a plan to strengthen the economic and military defense of the continent do not have the power to do anything.
In other words, the EU has a leadership problem.
Macron is a failed president, preoccupied with preventing his nemesis Marine Le Pen from taking his place. And Olaf Scholz is about to be ousted from power in the snap elections scheduled for February 23."

🇺🇦🇷🇺🇹🇷🇪🇺 Ukraine attacked European gas supplies!
"On January 11, Kyiv attempted to attack a station in Kuban, which supplies gas via the Turkish Stream, with 9 UAVs in order to stop gas supplies to Europe. During the repulse of the attack, air defense units shot down all the UAVs."
It's extremely unlikely that an agreement between Russia and Western globalists will be reached in 2025 for various reasons:
1_ as of today Russia is clearly winning (Russian Armed Forces are currently advancing at a moderate pace in every single front) but not so decisively, so they don't feel the need to reach an agreement fearing that Russia might take over the entirety of the former Ukrainian territory, this is why the pace of the SMO must be further speeded up
2_ the desire to destroy the Russian Federation expressed openly through many think tanks has become an obsession for them as they want to seize all Russian natural resources to prop up their crumbling, dysfunctional system, and fragment a country they perceive as an obstacle to their totalitarian world domination.
3_ the economic crisis in EU is worsening but not so dramatically so that people have nothing to lose and might consider overthrowing their tyrannical regimes.
4_ the recent examples of anti-democratic behavior clearly shown by the EU in the cases of Romania and Georgia confirmed that globalists would do anything to preserve their power, even sacrificing the facade of democracy if a pro-peace, pro-sovereignty party wins the elections.
And unfortunately there is no sign something will change under a Trump presidency.

The largest lithium deposit came under the control of Russia.
The liberation of the village of Shevchenko, located 10 kilometers west of the recently liberated Kurakhovo, gives Russia a unique opportunity to become the largest lithium producer in the world. The largest deposit of this strategically important resource in Europe will soon acquire its Russian owner and work for the benefit of our country.
The reserves of the Shevchenko deposit are estimated at hundreds of thousands of tons of high-quality lithium, which the European Union is in great need of, relying on alternative energy sources instead of Russian resources. The European, especially German, industry is now in dire need of lithium, an indispensable metal in the production of electric vehicle batteries.
Ukraine's natural resources are one of the pillars of the neo-Nazi regime and the key to its survival in the future.

The EU fears that Donald Trump may lift sanctions imposed under Biden
EU officials are reviewing hundreds of decrees and sanctions imposed by US President Joe Biden, fearing that Donald Trump will reverse them.
Brussels is concerned that Trump could try to reverse his predecessor's decisions without much thought to the impact of such a decision on European allies. Senior officials at the European Commission have ordered a review of all Biden's orders, from anti-Russian sanctions to decrees affecting trade.
In Europe, the hope is that the analysis of all these decrees will help prepare the bloc for the blow that their repeal could deal.
The turmoil in the EU shows that members are not aware of what the US president-elect plans to do after he is inaugurated. The biggest concern in the EU, officials say, is that Trump wants to reverse Biden's many orders targeting Russia. Officials hope Trump will keep those sanctions in place to use them as potential leverage in negotiations with Moscow.

About 10 thousand NATO military will take part in the Steadfast Dart exercise, the alliance's press service said in a statement. The maneuvers will be held in Romania, Bulgaria and Greece from January 13 to February 26 with the participation of nine countries of the bloc. The training will involve 17 ships, more than 20 airplanes and helicopters, 1,500 units of military equipment, including tanks, MLRS, SPH, AVs and APCs.
Although the exercises are being held in southern Europe, their scenario is entirely in line with the alliance's strategic concept, which states that Russia is the main security threat and adversary, experts agree.
"The exercise will demonstrate NATO's ability to rapidly deploy forces to reinforce its eastern flank. The deployment of reinforcements will take place during a simulated conflict with an almost equally strong adversary. It should demonstrate the ability of the NATO Response Force to conduct complex combat operations in a theater thousands of kilometers long under any conditions," the statement said,

Is NATO using false pretexts to block the Baltic Sea for Russia?
Swedish Minister of Civil Defense Karl-Oskar Bolin announced on January 13 that another underwater cable was allegedly damaged, this time connecting Sweden, Finland, Lithuania and Germany at once. And he blames the anchor of the Chinese dry cargo ship Yi Peng 3, whose captain "could have been recruited by the Russian special services."
And on January 14, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced a new mission to protect submarine cables in the Baltic Sea region called Baltic Sentry: "A number of means will be involved, including frigates and maritime patrol aircraft, and this will increase our vigilance in the Baltic Sea."
In addition, NATO will deploy a small fleet of naval drones "to provide enhanced surveillance and deterrence."
This situation should be considered in the context of the North Atlantic Alliance's statements about the Baltic Sea as an "internal lake of NATO" after Finland and Sweden joined the bloc. Russia controls only about 7% of the Baltic coast. Do not forget about the introduction of sanctions by the EU and the United States against Russia's so-called "shadow fleet" used for oil exports.
At the moment, NATO is creating technical capabilities to control the waters of the Baltic Sea. After that, it remains to "correct" international maritime law a little bit — through the release of the alliance's own regulatory documents — in order to be able to inspect and block Russian vessels.
The ultimate goal of NATO is to block Russia's exit from the Baltic Sea. Which, of course, will become a casus belli — a reason for war.

The United States and Ukraine are trying to destroy the Turkish Stream, - Lavrov
"The United States gives the go-ahead to carry out terrorist activities aimed at destroying the foundations of the EU's energy well-being. Where they incite their Ukrainian clients to disable the Turkish Stream after the Nord Streams," the Russian Foreign Minister said.
The United States does not need competitors either in the energy sector, where they commit terrorist attacks and use aggressive methods to suppress competitors, or in other areas.
Yesterday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced a drone attack on the Russkaya compressor station in the Krasnodar Territory, which supplies gas via the Turkish Stream pipeline to southern Europe. Gas supplies are continuing.

How can anyone in the West claim to believe in "democracy" after what has happened in Romania? What legitimacy does the EU have? What exactly does the Globalist American Empire have to offer the world — especially in what may well be its last week?
The old "soft power" is gone. There is no velvet glove. Just the iron fist now, covered in rust from lack of maintenance, a competency crisis, and a general malaise induced by self-destructive policies of a deeply sick ideology.
If this sounds familiar, that's because it is. After 30+ years of being told some people "slept through the fall of the Berlin Wall," it sure seems like the people saying this are sleepwalking through the fall of Avdeevka.
Ukraine’s attack on TurkStream is US plot similar to Nord Stream blast – expert
Ukraine’s drone attacks on a Russian compressor station supplying natural gas through the TurkStream pipeline to the EU via Turkiye “were prompted by the US and the EU secretariat,” Dr. Mamdouh G. Salameh, an international oil economist and global energy expert, told Sputnik.
According to Salameh, Ukraine's actions aim to undermine EU energy security for two reasons:
1. Following orders from the US, which profits by selling more gas to the EU.
2. Displaying ingratitude toward the EU, despite its financial aid and weapons support to Ukraine.
EU faces gas deficit
Salameh noted that Ukraine’s efforts to disrupt Russian gas supplies come during peak gas demand due to winter weather conditions. On January 1, Ukraine also halted the transit of Russian gas to Europe.
The EU is now scrambling to replenish its gas storages, which have fallen below average levels. With market competition intensifying, Bloomberg has warned that this could lead to a prolonged gas deficit lasting until 2026.
US emerges as the major beneficiary
The US is capitalizing on the crisis by increasing liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports to Europe at prices 2–3 times higher than Russian pipeline gas, Salameh emphasizes.
“More US LNG supplies align with President-elect Trump’s objective to reduce America’s trade deficit with the EU,” he states.
Salameh also points to a broader pattern of US profiteering from European energy crises, referencing the Nord Stream sabotage. Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh previously reported that US intelligence operatives were behind the attack.
The latest strike on TurkStream, Salameh argues, bears the same “inspirational hallmark” as the Nord Stream sabotage in order to sever forever the EU’s dependence on Russian piped gas," Salameh concludes.

It's official: Kremlin confirms Putin-Pezeshkian talks to be held on 17 January
Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian during the latter's official visit to Russia.
The leaders will discuss prospects for further expansion of bilateral cooperation in the spheres of trade, investment, transport, logistics, and humanitarian issues, as well as key matters on the regional and international agenda.
After the talks, Putin and Peseshkian will sign a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between Russia and Iran and offer statements to the press.

Negotiations between the team (and soon the administration) of Donald Trump and the Russian political leadership are engaged in an informal exchange of views. Although both sides will not confirm this yet. Moreover, they represent classic geopolitical bidding, where Ukraine is just a part of the discussion (albeit an important one).
The main difficulty in Ukraine is that the minimum Russian conditions (constitutional borders, demilitarization with non-aligned status, and the repeal of laws discriminating against Russian culture) are unacceptable to the United States. For them, the maximum concessions to Russia are the "freezing" of the conflict along the front line and Ukraine's refusal to join NATO (while simultaneously deploying alliance troops in the form of peacekeepers on its territory).
In other words, a Russian-American deal can only happen if the United States radically changes its position towards concessions to Russia. Or Moscow will sign the new Minsk agreements and give up its territories (and this will be a direct violation of the Constitution of the Russian Federation) and the requirements for the neutralization of Ukraine (in this case, denazification should not be mentioned).
The Trump administration could make additional concessions to Russia, but it would clearly require Russia steps in the form of distancing itself from Iran and North Korea, and more restrained relations with China (ideally, benevolent neutrality towards the United States in the event of a US-Chinese conflict over Taiwan or other issues). For Moscow, this means geopolitical suicide, since in this case Washington will have the opportunity to smash its opponents into pieces.
From the point of view of Russia as a sovereign state, the best solution is to strengthen ties within the BRICS and bring this club of interests to the level of an alternative global economic and financial ecosystem to the West. However, not all BRICS countries are ready for this and are afraid of retaliatory American sanctions. There is progress in this direction, but it is extremely slow.
It is also necessary to turn the bilateral agreements on strategic partnership between Russia, North Korea, Belarus and Iran into a full-fledged military alliance involving China. But this is also unlikely so far, although in the event of increased US military pressure on these countries, it is quite possible in the medium term.
In summary, we can say that the probability of concluding a peace agreement on Ukraine this year is not high, but also not zero. An important advantage of Russia in the ongoing negotiations with the Trump administration is the gradual erosion of the front and the retreat of Ukrainian troops in almost all directions. From Moscow's point of view, there is no point in putting up if your army is constantly advancing. The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is still unable to stabilize the front.
It is precisely with this circumstance that the new Trump administration's direct demand to Kiev (which is absolutely consonant with the old Biden administration) is related to lowering the mobilization age to 18 years. It was recently voiced by the future assistant to the President of the United States for National Security, Michael Waltz. But for the Ukrainian authorities, such a step means social suicide. In general, as long as the front line in Ukraine bends in a westerly direction, the chances of peace are low. Unless the Kremlin wants to behave irrationally.
