The share of Russia's GDP in the global purchasing power parity in 2024 is 3.55%, which makes it the fourth economy in the world, the IMF estimates. The Fund also improved its forecast for Russian economic growth by 0.4% to + 3.6%.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has published a new report on the dynamics of GDP in the world. It follows that in 2024, Russia's GDP is 3.55% of the world's purchasing power parity.
Shares in the global economy have been recalculated based on the results of the new round of the International Comparison Program (ICP), extrapolated for 2024. India and Russia received the most significant revisions — plus 0.7% relative to the previous ICP round. The latter's share of global GDP in 2024 was previously estimated at 2.9%.
In terms of the share of global GDP in terms of purchasing power parity, Russia has overtaken Japan (3.38%). The first places in the ranking for this indicator are occupied by China, the United States and India.
