▪️Too early to draw conclusions, but the explosions do not appear consistent with typical battery fires/explosions associated with telecommunication devices or even larger power banks, and instead look like small explosives;
▪️As the US compromises computer hardware on the factory floor with security back doors, Israel may have compromised a batch of pagers either at the factory or between manufacturing and distribution, placing a small remotely detonated explosive similar in size to a cherry bomb inside - this is pure speculation at this point;
▪️The incident, regardless of the methods used, is a serious wake up call for nations and organizations about the central importance of technology and the need to be self-sufficient;
▪️ This technology should be approached in the same manner as arms and other high security items, not as consumer goods - technology and information space should both be seen as central to national security, not at its periphery;

"The Americans and allied intelligence agencies created the "Echelon" [surveillance] system… which was built in parallel with the communication network, paging communications, cellular communications, and the global Internet, for monitoring and controlling network participants," military analyst Alexei Leonkov tells Sputnik, commenting on the pager explosion in Lebanon.
"[If the pager] was close to an artery [the explosion of a battery] could cause damage making one bleed to death within five minutes. And that's it, the person can't be saved," the pundit concludes.
Roughly two weeks ago, on 29th August, employees of the American University Medical Center in Beirut received this email, saying their 'old pagers' will be replaced.

A group of 250 instructors of the Ukrainian army arrived in the Idlib province in northern Syria to train militants from the terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in new drone production technologies with the goal of opening a new front in Syria in the near future against the Russian forces stationed there, an informed Syrian source told Sputnik.
💬 "There is confirmed information that the number of Ukrainian instructors who have already arrived in Idlib has reached 250 people. They have been distributed among production facilities in the city of Idlib and in the Jisir al-Shughur region," the source said, specifying that the instructors are training in the production and modernization of unmanned aerial vehicles.
