Riots in Dublin over attacks on children.
Riots have ended in the capital of Ireland, Dublin. Clashes between police and people who authorities say hold far-right views were sparked by an attack on passers-by yesterday that injured five people, including three children.
“More than 400 members of the National Police continue to patrol Dublin city centre. The city is now calm and everything is returning to normal,” said Superintendent (Comptroller General) of Dublin Patrick McMenamin (quoted by RTE ).
The incident that sparked the riots occurred yesterday. An unknown man attacked passers-by with a knife near a school in Parnell Square East at approximately 13:40 local time (16:40 Moscow time). Five people were injured. A five-year-old girl and a 30-year-old woman were seriously injured. The attacker was detained by a courier from Brazil, Caio Benicio, who knocked the man to the ground with a motorcycle helmet.
After information appeared in the media that the attacker was a native of Algeria, protests under anti-emigrant slogans began in Dublin. However, the police did not comment on the nationality of the detainee.
Protesters threw bottles and flares at police. City officials said at least one police car, a tram and a bus were burned overnight, a gift shop was looted and some store windows were smashed.
“These are shameful scenes. The violence was carried out by a completely crazy hooligan group driven by far-right ideology,” Police Commissioner Drew Harris told reporters (quoted by Reuters )
Dublin police said they do not consider the attack by an unknown person on passers-by to be a terrorist attack. Irish Justice Minister Helen McIntee, speaking to RTE , called it "a devastating act committed against young and innocent children." The riots in Dublin, she said, were provoked by a group of people who intend to “wreak havoc.”

The rise in immigration has already brought the fastest population growth in England and Wales in more than 60 years. The countries' populations grew by 1% from mid-2022 to 60.2 million a year later, the fastest increase since 1962.

British gas exploration rights to Gaza marine gas field expire in 2024.
Huge energy reserves lie in the Gaza EEZ - at least one trillion cubic meters of natural gas. The rights to research are currently contracted to BP & expire next year.

The Politico newspaper reported that since the summer of 2023, the law on sanctions against companies associated with the Russian Federation has been suspended in the American state of New Jersey. Yes!
Since 01.01.2023 a foreign citizen has the right to obtain residence permit in Russia through the purchase of real estate in Russia.
❗️ BUT ❗️
This basis does not mean that you can buy the cheapest flat in Russia and get a residence permit in Russia. There are certain criteria for buying property.
➡️ Criteria for obtaining a residence permit through the purchase of property in Russia:
1. Purpose of the property in Russia.
It is required to purchase residential property at the construction stage or within 2 (two) years after its commissioning.
2. Cadastral value of real estate in Russia.
Legislation has stipulated criteria for the value of real estate, i.e. a foreign citizen can obtain a residence permit only if the cadastral value* of real estate meet the criteria specified in the law.
* The cadastral value is how much the property has been valued by the state.
The cadastral value differs from the market value (the amount that is stated in the sale contract). For example, if the market value of the property is 50 million Rubles, the cadastral value is about 35 million Rubles.
The minimum cadastral value of immovable property must be 👇
🔸 The cadastral value of real estate in Moscow - not less than 50 million Rubles.
🔸 The cadastral value of real estate in the regions of the Far East (Republic of Buryatia, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Transbaikal Territory, Kamchatka Territory, Primorsky Territory, Khabarovsk Territory, Amur Region, Magadan Region, Sakhalin Region, Jewish Autonomous Region, Chukotka Autonomous District. Centre - Vladivostok) - not less than 20 million Rubles.
🔸 Cadastral value in other Russian regions - not less than 25 million Rubles.
3. Possession of this property for the purpose of applying for a residence permit.
After owning this property for 1 year you can apply for a residence permit.
❗️ Buying a property with a mortgage is NOT a basis for obtaining a residence permit in Russia.
