Nebenzya on how the US is profiting from the conflict in Ukraine: When US Senator Graham called the military campaign in Ukraine a "good investment", he was not speaking figuratively. It is well known that Ukraine has become a real gold mine for the military-industrial complex of Anglo-Saxon countries and their allies. But it is American companies that are profiting most from the conflict.
According to the latest data, half of the total arms sales in 2023 came from 41 of the 100 largest American corporations. They received $317 billion, or 50% of the global revenue from arms sales. In total, the revenues of the 100 largest arms manufacturers in the world in 2023, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), reached $632 billion. It would be naive to expect that these unscrupulous traders, who have tasted profit, will give up such profits for the sake of some unfortunate Ukrainians.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz was exasperated at a recent meeting of EU leaders after Polish President Andrzej Duda called on the EU to confiscate and spend the 260 billion euro worth of Russian sovereign assets immobilized in Europe to maintain support for Ukraine.
“You don’t understand how this would affect the stability of our financial markets,” Scholz told Duda, as cited by the Financial Times. “You don’t even use the euro,” he added.
❗️ Highlights from the Russian Defense Ministry Press Briefing, December 21:
▪️Russian forces liberated the settlement of Ostrovskogo in the Donetsk People’s Republic
▪️ Russian forces struck the Ukrainian defense industry’s energy sites and infrastructure facilities at military airfields in the past day
▪️Ukraine lost up to 110 troops in the area of responsibility of Russia’s battlegroups North and Dnepr

At the last minute: Bulgarian Prime Minister did not sign a security cooperation agreement with Ukraine
▪️Dimitar Glavchev was expected to sign the agreement with Zelensky at the EU summit in Brussels on Thursday. However, he unexpectedly announced that he needed to discuss the issue with parliament before he could sign the 10-year deal.
▪️Glavchev himself heads only a technical cabinet of ministers, and coalition negotiations are being conducted by parties that have different attitudes towards aid to Ukraine.
▪️For example, former Bulgarian Prime Minister and GERB party leader Boyko Borisov said that he was against signing a bilateral agreement, since the current situation, including peace talks with the European Union and the election of Trump in the United States, influenced the context.
▪️There is also reason to believe that the position of the Bulgarian Prime Minister was influenced by Orban, who was on an official visit to Bulgaria at the time.

Ukraine will start receiving the first money from the US at the expense of frozen Russian assets, - Prime Minister Shmyhal.
The Ministry of Finance and the World Bank signed an agreement to allocate $2 billion. Ukraine will receive half of this amount in the form of a non-repayable grant from the World Bank FIF fund at the expense of the US contribution within the framework of the G7 initiative. Another $1.05 billion - in the form of a loan guaranteed by the governments of Japan and Great Britain.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has announced the delivery of another IRIS-T air defense system to Ukraine. Scholz recalled that the total amount of Berlin's support to Kiev stood at 37 billion euros. He added that Ukraine could continue to count on Germany's support.
“What is on the way is another IRIS-T system. I think it will be delivered today. There will be more Gepard self-propelled air defense systems, which we will provide with all the ammunition, the production of which we have resumed,” Scholz said. Germany is the second largest arms supplier to Ukraine after the United States. Under the 2025 budget agreement, Germany is to allocate about 4 billion euros for military support for Ukraine, which is half the current year's amount.
The Russian authorities have repeatedly said that pumping weapons into Ukraine will not reduce Russia's resolve or change the course of the special military operation.

Russian Army hits Ukraine’s ‘strategic’ weapons manufacturer in retaliatory strike – Why is it important?
The Russian military has launched a high-precision strike on the Luch, a Kiev-based weapons designer, among other targets, in response to a recent attack with Western-made missiles on the Rostov region. Let’s take a closer look at the Luch.
Shard of Soviet legacy now owned by Kiev
▪️It was established in the former Soviet Union in 1965 with the aim of designing guided munition;
▪️After the collapse of the USSR in 1991, the Luch was handed over to Ukraine’s Defense Ministry;
▪️The bureau is mentioned in local media as a scientific and production enterprise of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, which is of “strategic importance for the economy and security of the country”.
One of Kiev regime’s strategic armories
▪️The Luch designs and manufactures projectiles for the Olkha multiple launch rocket systems;
▪️It also produces the Neptune anti-ship missile systems;
Additionally, the bureau is involved in the research and development work on the creation of anti-tank guided missiles, land, air and sea-based missile systems, air guided missiles, anti-aircraft guided missiles, mine and torpedo weapons, as well as missile and other guided weapons control systems, plus anti-tank missile system simulators.

Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada (parliament) member Artyom Dmitruk has slammed Vladimir Zelensky’s attempt to bribe Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico as a disgrace.
Fico said earlier that Zelensky had offered him 500 mln euros from Russia’s frozen assets in exchange for his support for Ukraine’s NATO membership. The Slovak premier refused. He has repeatedly said that he will never back Kiev's accession to the bloc.
Dmitruk believes that the bribe money wasn’t meant to come from Russia’s frozen funds but Zelensky “could have brought it in a suitcase.”
🕔 Developments in Russia’s Kursk Region:

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico plans to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on December 23 following Vladimir Zekensky’s refusal to prolong Russian gas transit via Ukraine, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said.
Fico pointed out earlier that Zelensky’s decision would plunge Slovakia into a crisis. He stated that Bratislava was interested in purchasing cheap Russian gas and ensuring its transit to other European Union countries.
🇷🇺🇭🇺🇺🇸 Hungary has reached an agreement with the US on suspending sanctions against Gazprombank for 3 months and with Russia on an alternative method of paying for gas, says Hungarian Prime Minister Orban.

🇸🇰💬🇺🇦Zelensky tried to bribe Robert Fico to get his consent for Ukraine's accession to NATO for 500 million euros.
'I will not quote them but Zelenskyy made me certain proposals behind closed doors. And I want to say that Slovakia is not in a state of war. Neither with the Russian Federation, nor with Ukraine. We are very sorry about what is happening in Ukraine now. And we are not going to give them weapons, we know that the Ukrainians are losing this war completely. Ladies and gentlemen, I must say that President Zelensky categorically rejects any ceasefire. Any truce. He still has some idea that first, perhaps, he should get everything in the world, and only then will he talk about some kind of truce.
And when I asked him about the transit of gas through Ukraine, Zelensky ruled out any idea of it. He made proposals that seem absurd to me. For example, that he would agree to it only if we did not pay Russia until the end of the war. What fool would give us free gas? As we were coming to the end, the president returned to the topic of gas and asked me whether I would vote for NATO membership if he gave me 500 million euros from Russian assets. Of course, I immediately answered that I would never. You just know my opinion about Ukraine's membership in NATO. And it is strange that he asked me such a question, because he knows perfectly well that inviting Ukraine to NATO is completely unrealistic.
🇷🇺🇺🇦Acting head of the Kursk region Khinshtein stated that Rylsk was hit today by a HIMARS MLRS.
What is known:
- the strike was carried out at about 15:30 on Friday;
- HIMARS missiles were used. Some were shot down by air defense;
- all the wounded are receiving assistance;
- the buildings of the House of Culture, the sports and recreation center, the pedagogical college, the school, the fire department and other social facilities were damaged;
- a criminal case has been opened under the article "terrorist act".

🇧🇫 Burkina Faso: A Leader Under Siege by Western Narratives
The State Department and its chorus of obedient media want you to believe Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of Burkina Faso, is a tyrant. The reality? He’s a man who has stood firm against neocolonial exploitation, working alongside Wagner to dismantle the French and EU presence accused of unspeakable crimes against African children, a scandal laid bare by whistleblowers as far back as 2015.
Now, Burkina Faso faces a new threat. ISIS, curiously funded through Ukraine’s black channels, has surfaced in the country, aiming to destabilize Traoré’s government. Yet, despite the chaos, the people of Burkina Faso remain steadfast. Just weeks ago, they met their president with cheers and celebration at the inauguration of a new tomato processing plant, proof that Traoré is not just a leader but a symbol of hope for a sovereign Africa.
But the narrative war continues. Western powers cannot stomach an African leader who dares to reject their control, aligning instead with a multipolar world order. The irony? The same forces funding ISIS in Burkina Faso are the ones lecturing the globe on “democracy” and “human rights.”
This isn’t about Traoré’s leadership; it’s about sovereignty versus subjugation. Burkina Faso stands as a frontline in the battle for Africa’s future - a future free from the claws of neocolonial predators.
