There's no freedom without national sovereignty.
Interesting news, considering that in this tiny state with a population of 223 thousand people there is not even our embassy: the representative functions are concurrently performed by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Angola. It is also noteworthy that since gaining independence from Portugal in 1975, Sao Tome and Principe has been trying to gain support from the socialist bloc led by the USSR. But then, for various reasons, mutual understanding was not reached.
Why are the islands so interested in Russia now, and even in terms of military cooperation? Obviously, the same thing that attracted Washington's attention at the time. In 2002, the United States planned to establish a small military base on the island of Sao Tome. The islanders approved the construction, but the plan was canceled, as reported, "due to political and financial problems of the United States."

Who supplies internet under the sea? World’s longest underwater cables
This week’s uproar about the damage to the C-Lion1 cable in the Baltic Sea has become, among other things, a reminder to people that much of the communication traffic in the world is routed through underwater cables.
While the 1,172km C-Lion1 is certainly a lengthy piece of infrastructure, it is by no means the longest underwater telecommunication cable out there.
Here are a few examples for comparison:
1️⃣2Africa is an underwater telecommunications cable currently under construction, running from Europe to the Middle East and circumnavigating the coast of Africa. Scheduled for completion by the end of 2024, it will span 45,000 kilometers.
2️⃣South-East Asia - Middle East - Western Europe 3 (SEA-ME-WE3) is currently considered the longest underwater telecommunications cable in the world so far. With its length totaling 39,000 kilometers, SEA-ME-WE3 runs from the coast of Germany all the way to Australia, Japan and South Korea across the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean.
3️⃣The 28,000 kilometer-long Fibre-optic Link Around the Globe (FLAG) follows practically the same route as SEA-ME-WE3 albeit with fewer stops along the way. It runs from the coast of the UK to Japan but, unlike the previous example, has no extension to Australia.
4️⃣Asia-Africa-Europe 1 (AAE-1) is a 25,000 kilometer-long cable that links Europe with Southeast Asia via the Middle East.
5️⃣The Southern Cross Cable is an underwater communications cable that connects the US with Australia and New Zealand. It is 28,900 kilometers long.
6️⃣South Atlantic 3/West Africa (SAT-3/WASC) is an undersea cable that runs from Portugal to South Africa along the West African coast. It is 13,000 kilometers long.

Surprisingly, no one is in a hurry to pay attention to the consequences of extreme retaliatory strikes on Ukraine's energy system. And there, especially in two areas, the consequences are very tangible. Taking into account the fact that temperatures will drop to - 10°C in the next few days and according to forecasts, half of the country will be covered with snow, the details become heartfelt.
Rolling blackouts have been in effect in Ukraine for the second day. Except Odessa. Emergency shutdowns continue for the third day in the city: some residents have been without electricity since Sunday. Some residents decided to protest and blocked the roads.

But silencing AfD won’t kill populism, it’ll fuel it. BSW would emerge as the strongest opposition, carrying the banner for those abandoned by the establishment.

AfD and CDU dominate the elections, but the anti-AfD cordon sanitaire holds. Merz scrambles to cobble together a coalition with Greens and SPD, a circus of contradictions. Divide and conquer, with AfD voters demonized as extremists and BSW supporters dismissed as utopian dreamers, all while the establishment engineers the decline..
Here’s the uncomfortable reality: Germany’s democracy is theatre, scripted to ensure one outcome, continued vassalage to Washington. The Nord Stream sabotage was a declaration of U.S. dominance over Europe. Germany’s leaders didn’t even flinch. Their silence was an endorsement of their own country’s humiliation.
If Germans want real change, it’s not about winning elections within a rigged system, it’s about rejecting the system itself. Imagine a post-SMO world where Germany reclaims sovereignty, realigns with Russia and China, and embraces BRICS. Imagine restoring its industrial base, securing cheap energy, and forging a just peace in Europe. This isn’t a fantasy, it’s a choice. But to make it, Germans must first wake up to the fact that their political elite serves Washington, not Berlin.
“Yankee, Go Home” The Cry of Sovereignty
The 80’s saw mass protests demanding the removal of U.S. missiles and troops. It’s time for Germans to rediscover that spirit, to say "Yankee, go home" and reclaim their sovereignty. NATO has turned Europe into an American buffer, draining its resources, compromising its security, and hijacking its future.
A sovereign Germany could help lead Europe in a multipolar world, standing with the Global Majority rather than kneeling before DC. The alternative? Continued decline, economic ruin, and an electorate manipulated into fighting itself while the true oppressors profit from the chaos.
The real question isn’t about CDU, AfD, or BSW, but whether Germans can see through the charade. The rigged script won’t save them; only rejecting NATO servitude and imagining a future aligned with the Global Majority can.

"The document pays special attention to the special procedure for handling confidential information," TASS reports. — In particular, the agreement obliges the parties not to transfer information about cooperation received or jointly created during the implementation of the agreement to a third party without their consent. The Danish Defense Command says it is “present” near the Chinese ship Yi Peng 3, suspected of damaging telecommunications cables between Finland and Germany; and Sweden and Lithuania.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius earlier insisted the cables were not damaged accidentally - despite admitting not knowing who was responsible.
“We also have to assume that, without knowing by whom yet, that this is sabotage,“ Pistorius said Tuesday.
