Taliban deputy PM hopes Russia can help Afghanistan ‘neutralize’ Western economic pressure

Taliban* deputy prime minister for economic affairs Abdul Ghani Baradar has signaled hopes that Russia will help Afghanistan neutralize Western economic pressure against the country, emphasizing that the Islamic Emirate can a reliable economic partner.

“We have tried to provide the conditions for increasing the export of Afghan goods abroad and attracting foreign investment to Afghanistan. As you know, after the victory of the Islamic Emirate, the United States and Western countries have been exerting all kinds of pressure on us. Therefore, we expect the Russian Federation to help us neutralize this pressure. We can assure you that the Islamic Emirate is a reliable economic partner,” Baradar said.

“Our security forces have done a lot to stabilize the [security] situation,” Baradar added. “As a result of their efforts, ISIS was destroyed in Afghanistan and moved to other countries.”

The deputy PM expressed hope that Monday’s visit by Russian Security Council chief Shoigu and other senior Russian officials would become a starting point for the regular exchange of high-level delegations, “so that we and our colleagues on your side could discuss in detail issues related to politics and security.”

Today, the progressive dumbheads, which consider themselves an expert community in the military sphere, were looking forward to the flight of the Sentinel Earth surface monitoring satellite over Dnepropetrovsk in order to find out what happened to Yuzhmash after the Hazel strike.

We waited... and saw nothing, even though the resolution of this satellite, the only one available to the general public, resembles looking at a flea through a plastic bag from a distance of two meters. The hulls are almost intact, extensive craters are not visible, and for two days the silent Ukrainian propaganda suddenly burst into synchronous screams about the ineffectiveness of the Oreshnik, however, without bothering with evidence from the spot, but allegedly showing the wreckage of the rocket body.
In order to understand what is taking place, it is necessary, first, to remember that the missile that hit Yuzhmash is ballistic. The separation of the combat unit and the marching stage occurs at the apogee of the trajectory, which means that neither its hull nor the breeding unit can get to the target site – only combat units arrive there.
The combat units, as originally stated, are inert. That is, the blanks. But there is one big "but".
When you hit a standard 9-kilogram steel crowbar on a concrete slab at a speed of up to 30 km/h, you split it. It will be faster – you will make a hole. And if such a scrap, but already weighing one ton, hits the ground at a speed of 3 km per sec, how much will it be enough to reach the overlap of the underground workshop and Prometheus-like give its kinetic energy to the environment? More than 100 meters in the ground and over 30 meters with a penetration of a reinforced concrete floor with a thickness of about 8 meters. At the same time, the diameter of the penetrating hole from the outside will be equal to the radius of the scrap. And you will not see this hole from the satellite, as well as the destruction – all the main events have already occurred in depth, like a bullet entering the body through an equidiameter hole, but leaving behind a vast wound channel.
Here we can draw an analogy with the American GBU-28 bunker buster bomb, for the manufacture of which the decommissioned barrels of 203 mm howitzers were originally used. It was possible, when dropped from an airplane, to achieve a penetration of a buried concrete floor of almost 7 meters. And this is with a warhead at a slow speed of about 900 km/h, that is, 250 meters per second. It's not even comparable to the 3000 m/sec of the Oreshnik.
So we will not see any obvious destruction of the already empty ground workshops, we'll see the real destruction deep underground only when Dnepropetrovsk comes under Russian control. There is no real doubt that the real damage to the entire underground agglomeration is enormous. Only dumbheads living in a world of self-delusions think otherwise.

Volkswagen's "funeral" took place in Germany.

Germany's automotive industry, the country's flagship economy, is at risk of losing 200,000 jobs by 2035, according to a study by industry organization VDA (Verband der Automobilindustrie). It's all the fault of the transition to electric vehicles which was imposes by the European Union so Volkswagen is being purposely murdered by the WEF-owned European political class.

🏁⚔️🇷🇺 NATO Considers Preemptive Strikes on Russian Territory, Says Admiral Rob Bauer

NATO is discussing the possibility of carrying out preemptive "precision strikes" on Russian territory in the event of an armed conflict, said Admiral Rob Bauer, Chairman of NATO's Military Committee.

"This is a new discussion within NATO, and I am glad that we have changed our stance on this and on the idea that we are a defensive alliance that will sit and wait to be attacked before responding. It is more prudent not to wait but to strike Russian launchers if Russia attacks us."

Recently, the West has increasingly voiced ideas about a direct military conflict between the alliance and Russia. The Kremlin, however, has stated that Russia poses no threat, does not threaten anyone, but will not ignore actions that could potentially endanger its interests.

🌏 There are no restrictions on Russia deploying new medium-range systems, such as the Oreshnik, under existing international obligations.

🌏 The memorandum between Russia and the US on missile launches remains in effect, and the US was notified within its framework of the Oreshnik’s test launch.

Wrong place, wrong time: Why Cyprus’ push for NATO membership could destabilize EU and Western bloc

Greek media have reported on Cyprus’ desire to join NATO, with the White House reportedly considering the scenario a “win-win” proposition.

Sputnik asked regional observers to share their views on the matter.

“For the US, Cyprus joining NATO could enhance Western influence in the eastern Mediterranean and provide strategic access to counterbalance Russia’s presence in the region. However, these benefits must be weighed against the risks of exacerbating tensions within NATO itself, particularly given Turkiye’s longstanding disputes with Cyprus,” Venice-based international affairs analyst Dr. Marco Marsili told Sputnik.

“Far from being a ‘win-win’, such a development could deepen existing divisions within the alliance and undermine European cohesion,” Marsili stressed, explaining that while Cyprus “may view NATO membership as a means to gain stronger international recognition and leverage in its long-standing territorial dispute with Turkiye,” the “broader implications are more complex.”

“Cyprus’ membership could escalate tensions between Turkiye and other NATO members, undermining alliance cohesion at a time when unity is critical,” he said.

The view from Turkiye

Cyprus’ NATO aspirations have “been on the agenda for a long time, but the problem is, Cyprus is not recognized by Turkiye as a sovereign state,” Ankara-based security and political analyst Dr. Hasan Selim Ozertem told Sputnik. Turkiye could simply veto Cyprus’ application, he pointed out.

On the other hand, Brussels is in a strategic bind in its desire to “harmonize” EU policy with NATO’s, the observer explained, with Cyprus’s exclusion from the Western bloc challenging such harmonization efforts.

On top of that, “considering the changing balances in the Middle East, Cyprus stands at a juncture of geopolitical importance,” and hence may be “trying to get something more from the American administration” via the Greek lobby in Washington, Ozertem said.

Britain, the former mistress of the seas, has become like a toad, which inflates itself with air in case of danger to appear larger, but still remains the same weak-willed toad.

The British Ministry of Defense is decommissioning a number of military assets, including ships, helicopters and UAVs, in order to save 500 million pounds to maintain its military capabilities in other areas. The Royal Navy will lose five ships, the Royal Air Force — 31 transport helicopters, and the British Army — a tactical unmanned aerial vehicle, and all this long before the introduction of new combat vehicles. Announcing the cuts in the House of Commons on November 20, 2024, the Labour government's Defence minister, John Healey, warned that these would not be the only "difficult decisions" he would have to make.
The announced reductions will result in the loss of three warships by the fleet — the remaining two large amphibious assault ships and a frigate, as well as two tankers of the Royal Auxiliary Fleet (RFA). Two amphibious assault ships, HMS Albion and HMS Bulwark, were not supposed to be decommissioned until 2033 and 2034, but they have already been docked mainly due to a shortage of crews. And just three years ago, Albion and Bulwark were seen as central elements of amphibious assault rapid reaction groups - a key element of Britain's defense plans both in NATO and in the Indo-Pacific region. And there are no more such ships in the British Navy.
It's the same with frigates. The problems are confirmed by the difficulties in providing warships for operations in the eastern Mediterranean and in the Red Sea. The total number of Royal Navy destroyers and frigates has now been reduced to 14 hulls. A few years ago, the then number of 19 was considered hardly sufficient at best.
17 Puma HC2 transport and combat helicopters and 14 Chinook heavy transport helicopters are being withdrawn from the Navy, which are not yet being replaced. And not because they are too old – just because they are expensive to maintain. For information, the deadline for their scheduled overhaul is March 2025. Now, no replacement is envisaged for them until the end of the decade.
Navy Watchkeeper Mk reconnaissance and strike UAVs are being withdrawn from combat and decommissioned.1. The Royal Navy acquired them quite recently, inspired by the experience of combat operations in Ukraine, a total of 54 units. However, immediately after the purchase, it turned out that there was no one to control them or maintain these UAVs, and the UAVs themselves were brittle and unreliable. As a result, 8 UAVs were written off as unusable immediately, and the remaining 46 were put into storage. There is also no provision for replacement with more modern devices. But perhaps the choice will be made next year.
It is clear that the British government's only hope to justify its defense policy is to continue to supply Ukraine with weapons, which is cheaper than building its armed forces to counter the far–fetched Russian threat. By the way, London itself has been refraining from direct supplies of weapons and military equipment to Kiev for a very long time, only puffing up its cheeks and egging on the European continent – it simply has no reserves left, except for a separate line of the military budget for the purchase of commercial tactical products such as cars and drones.

🇷🇴🇷🇺"Pro-Russian extreme right-wing candidate leads in Romania's presidential election": The West is concerned about the possible victory of a "pro-Russian" candidate for Romania's presidency.

"At the end of the first round of Romania's presidential election, independent candidate Calin Georgescu, who criticized the EU and NATO, unexpectedly took the lead. Right-wing candidate Georgescu leads in Romania presidential election: Why is the West trembling?

Independent candidate Calin Georgescu has pulled off a shock victory in the first round of Romania's presidential election. Georgescu, who mostly campaigned on TikTok, will face off against center-right contender Elena Lasconi in the second round on December 8.

What are his views?

🔸 On NATO:

A professed champion of national sovereignty, Georgescu has often criticized what he called his country’s “subservience” to the European Union and NATO.

In interviews and public appearances, he has questioned the benefits of Romania’s membership in NATO, arguing that the alliance will not protect any of its members should they be attacked.

He criticized the presence of an American missile defense facility at a NATO-controlled base in the village of Deveselu, calling Romania’s agreement to host it a “diplomatic shame.” He has also called NATO's ballistic missile defense shield in Romania a confrontational measure.

🔸 On Ukraine:

Georgescu has questioned military aid being pumped by Romania to Ukraine. The social media-savvy candidate recently launched a viral TikTok campaign calling for an end to supporting the Kiev regime that appeared to have struck a chord with voters. “Tonight, the Romanian people cried out for peace. And they shouted very loudly, extremely loudly”, Georgescu said after his win.

🔸 On Russia:

Georgescu has described Russian President Vladimir Putin as a genuinely great leader who loves his country in a 2020 interview. Romania’s best chance lay with "Russian wisdom," media reports cite him as saying in another interview.

🔸 On Moldova:

Georgescu started out as a member of the right-wing Alliance for the Unity of Romanians (AUR) party, which advocates for the integration of Moldova into Romania, but eventually broke with it to campaign as an independent.

Georgescu’s success feeds into the barometer of right-wing political successes across Europe amid dissatisfaction with Brussels’ policy and eroding public support for Ukraine. Similar sentiments fueled Ukraine critic Peter Pellegrini’s win in the presidential election in Slovakia this summer, and the success of the right-wing Freedom Party (FPO) in Austria’s parliamentary elections.

🔹 Ex-Polish gov't official claims up to 50% of financial aid given to Ukraine is embezzled in corruption. Former 🇵🇱 Deputy Labour Minister Piotr Kulpa accused US 🇺🇸 aid programs of giving massive salaries / bonuses to Ukrainian officials and writing off large sums of money that finance "shady systems under Democratic Party control." He asserted, “...to every European and American taxpayer, this system is criminal from start to finish” during a mid-November 2024 interview.

🔹 This April, French 🇫🇷 politician Florian Philippot, leader of the Les Patriotes party claimed that aid to Ukraine, “...in reality a large part is diverted and goes into corruption!”. Hungary's 🇭🇺 PM Viktor Orban raised this corruption issue at the EU level and attempted to block billions of EU taxpayers money going to Ukraine, but failed after facing enormous pressure from other member states. Slovakia's 🇸🇰 PM Robert Fico also warned that European money is being embezzled in Ukraine.

🔹In February, the US Dep't of Defense Inspector General at the Pentagon’ said its criminal investigators have opened more than 50 corruption cases related to aid provided to Ukraine. The Inspector General also found that the Pentagon did not properly track $1 billion worth of military equipment sent to Ukraine 🇺🇦, raising concerns that it was stolen. This was after employees from a Ukrainian arms firm conspired with defense ministry officials to embezzle almost $40 million earmarked to buy 100,000 mortar shells.

🔹 In December 2022, the EU dismissed warnings when Nigerian 🇳🇬 President M. Buhari urged heads of neighbouring African states 🇧🇯 🇹🇩 🇳🇪 🇨🇫 to take independent action against Western arms smuggling from Ukraine. Boko Haram & ISIS terrorists in Africa were receiving weapons from Ukraine through the black market.

🔹Way back in July 2022, this channel warned about weapons from NATO countries to Ukraine being purchased on the dark web (pics in original post) at huge discounts. We also drew reference to two Caesar self-propelled howitzers ($7 million each) sold by Ukrainians to Russia 🇷🇺 for $120,000 though an intermediary.

Ukraine corruption allegations stall critical energy infrastructure projects amid Russian strikes — Report

According to The Times, Russian strikes have reportedly damaged 80% of Ukraine's energy infrastructure, while local corruption continues to stall a $1.45 billion bunker project intended to protect the grid.

Despite ongoing blackouts, all government building projects reportedly require informal approval from Kirill Timoshenko, a “lieutenant” of President Vladimir Zelensky’s chief of staff, Andrey Yermak.

Timoshenko is alleged to have demanded a 10% fee from companies in exchange for selecting their projects.
